Hunt For The Mystical Medals

Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the story arc is underway…where a conflict is about to ensue as one of the Detective Conan allies is about TO TURN…which may lead to some…changes…and how this would affect the flow of the story of this fic…as the villains of this arc made their move…

At the Agasa house, Kyuji, Ran, Shiho and Agasa glanced at the table where Ankh placed the Core Medals of Uva, and there he told Kyuji that for now they have a slight advantage as they can at least be able to repel Kazari and Mezeru now that Kyuji can make use of the Core Medals they acquired an hour ago.

The scene shifts at the table where the Core Medals of Uva are placed and displayed which consists of the following, which are:

- Kuwagata (stag beetle)

- Kamakiri (mantis)

- Batta (grasshopper)

- Suzumega (hawkmoth)

- Koorogi (cricket)

- Suzumebachi (hornet)

- Inago (locust)

- Tondo (dragonfly)

With eight insect-type Core Medals in their possession, Ankh told Kyuji that they are going to try them out and see which one is suited for battle, which Kyuji nodded in agreement while Ran and Shiho wonder what happened to Uva, though Ankh said that at the very least Uva is likely put out of commission given that he only has one Core Medal left in him and that he is severely weakened and thus it would keep him out from meddling.

"I see…"

"That's good to hear…"

"But that doesn't mean that we're taking it easy. We still have to be on our guard."

"Yeah."

"Right."

"So for now I'll have Kyuji work on these Medals and see which one can be used for upcoming battles. You girls better stay here "

"Fine."

"Fine."

"Good."

Much later the scene shifts at an abandoned construction yard where Ankh, Kyuji and Professor Agasa are there, in which they are going to try out the Core Medals they got from Uva, and there Agasa asked Ankh if this is fine, reminding them that Shinichi's comatose body would be put in danger should members of the Black Organization show up, as well as the fact that Vermouth still has Conankh with her, though Ankh said that it won't be a problem as he regained his Core Medal.

"Don't worry. I managed to regain half of my power…"

"Maybe…but the other you has five of his Core Medals..."

"It's fine. I'll have Kyuji deal with that doppelganger."

"R-really…?"

"Yeah."

"Well…"

"Don't worry about it."

"Fine."

After that, Ankh tells Kyuji to be ready as the experimental training is about to commence, which Kyuji nodded and there he puts on the Medal-Driver and gets ready as Ankh threw three Core Medals at him which Kyuji caught and glanced at them, which made him feel quite baffled but decided to go along with it as he slots in the three Core Medals into the Medal-Driver before scanning them with the Medal Scanner to activate the Core Medals.

Medal Scanner: "SHAICHI…SUZUMEGA...INAGO…"

Kyuji transformed into Kamen Rider Os, and there his armored form shows that he has the attributes of the three elements of the Core Medals he uses, where his helmet has the head of a killer whale; while his arm gauntlets appeared to be the same, they are colored green, while his armored back has wings that resembled that of hawkmoths, while his boots are colored green and it vaguely resembles that of a locust.

There Os did a series of kick attacks which the impacts are somewhat on the same level as that of the Batta Core Medal, and then he began to fly in the sky, where he discovered that the wings he got from using the Suzumega Core Medal give him flying abilities similar to the ones when using the TaJaDor Combo, as well as the Hawkmoth wings can discharge pollen-like dusts which acts as an explosive element that can be used on targets.

Agasa was awed as he never saw anything like this, and asked Ankh if the other Core Medals from Uva have similar properties which Ankh said that he is about to find out and see which Medals can be used in conjunction with the other different Core Medals.

"Don't worry. We're about to see what else the Core Medals can offer…"

"Maybe…but would they be strong enough to deal with the other Greed…?"

"It's fine. We'll soon find out."

"R-really…?"

"Yeah."

"Well…"

"Don't worry about it."

"Fine."

After that Ankh gave Kyuji another set of Core Medals and he scans them to assume a different form, and there Ankh and Agasa looks on as Os gained a different form with differing properties.

Medal Scanner: "SAI…SUZUMEBACHI...KOOROGI…"

As Os underwent another transformation, he stood before Ankh and Agasa and there his armored form shows that he has the attributes of the three elements of the Core Medals he uses, where his helmet has the head and horn of a rhinoceros; while his arm gauntlets appeared to be the same, they are colored green, yet his right forearm is armed with a sharp stinger, while his armored back has wings that resembled that of hornet, while his boots are colored green and it vaguely resembles that of a cricket.

There Os tried out this new combo and so far its power is sufficient enough which Ankh nodded as he finds it satisfactory enough as it would help Os deal with the likes of Kazari and Mezeru, though they have no idea that Gameru was recently revived and is under the care of the Magic Kaito Organization.

As the trio proceeded to experiment the other Core Medals of Uva, they didn't notice that a candroid is watching Ankh, Kyuji and Professor Agasa experimenting with the Core Medals, which revealed that Kougami is observing them from the Kougami Foundation.

The scene shifts at the Kougami Foundation where Kougami and Satonaka are watching the live footage where Os is assuming different combos when using Uva's Core Medals and Kougami smirked as he sees this as a good development which Os can have some advantages in dealing with the Greed without relying on the purple Core Medals that remained inside Kyuji's body, though Satonaka reminded him of the looming threat by Doctor Maki as he still has possession of the remaining purple Core Medals as well as having Kazari as his ally.

Moreover she also reminded that Conankh is allied with the Black Organization and that Mezeru was also revived, hence there is no reason for Kyuji and Ankh to let their guards down, which Kougami agreed as he would have Toudou and Gotoh to assist Kyuji whenever trouble arises.

"Its for the best that Hino and Ankh remained level-headed at all times, president."

"Yes, they should. Because there's no telling what would happen next."

"Indeed. Maki has allied with Kazari…the Black Organization now has the other Ankh…and a secret group recruited Mezeru. This now leaves Uva and Gameru..."

"Yes, president. It'd be a problem if all of the Greed are active…"

"Yes…so we must support Hino no matter what."

"Noted."

"Huh?"

"Eh?"

By then Gotoh arrived and both Kougami and Satonaka noted his distressed facial reaction and Kougami asked Gotoh what is the matter, in which the latter said that Toudou went missing and that something happened at Toudou's hometown, where his wife went missing whilst the doctors who are caring for Natsumi were found dead at the Okinomiya Clinic.

Kougami and Satonaka stared in surprise and asked Gotoh to elaborate more and there Gotoh told them what he knows about Toudou's private life and his past prior to working here and becoming Kamen Rider Birth, and Kougami nodded as he finds it concerning and puts everyone here in a serious dilemma.

"Hmm…now this is a cause for concern…"

"I may have to conduct a discreet investigation and find out…"

"Indeed. We can't afford to have Hino distracted…"

"You're right. Hino should concentrate in dealing with the Greed and the purple Core Medals inside him…"

"Very well…go to Okinomiya and conduct your secret investigation."

"Okay."

"And let me know of any development…"

"Got it…"

At an unspecified hideout, the scene shows several Diet officials are having a secret meeting, in which they are corrupt officials who are the only ones who are involved in the Hinamizawa Village massacre as well as causing the cover-up of what happened at the Okinomiya Village incident, and there the officials are concerned as they discovered the news that Akira Toudou's wife was abducted whilst the doctors looking after her were found dead, and this puts the politicians in a panic as they feared that Toudou would suspect them given that they have a feeling that Toudou is aware of what really happened to Hinamizawa and Okinomiya Village several months ago.

This is due to the fact that Akasaka Mamoru and Kuraudo Oishi investigated the officials involved and that they went into hiding the moment that Toudou's wife was mysteriously abducted, and the corrupt officials feared that Mamoru and Oishi would expose them on live TV.

"This is your fault!"

"Me?"

"It was him!"

"Stop pointing at me! It was you!"

"Hey, I'm not involved!"

"You take the blame!"

"No way!"

"Damn you and your carelessness!"

However, one of the Diet officials came and urged his fellow politicians to calm down, saying that he figured out a way to silence Mamoru and Oishi with ease and that they won't have to physically expose themselves, which the other politicians asked what does he have in mind, in which the politician summoned someone and there the person entered, surprising everyone inside. It was Akira Toudou, and there he just stood there while the politician said that Toudou would be the key in keeping the secret a secret.

"As you can see, gentlemen…this person would be the key to OUR SALVATION."

"Huh? Him?"

"What the…? What's he doing here?"

"Are you out of your mind?"

"You… you can't be serious…"

"This guy will save us?"

"You better not be screwing us around…"

"You got to be kidding me…"

While the corrupt politicians are baffled and apprehensive, the politician assured to them that Toudou will work for them and that he would be the key in eliminating Akasaka Mamoru and Kuraudo Oishi without physically getting themselves involved, which somewhat swayed the officials upon hearing this.

"Really…?"

"Really…?"

"Really…?"

"Really…?"

"Really…?"

"Really…?"

"Really…?"

"Really…?"

After hearing the assurance, the corrupt officials decided to put their trust on their fellow politician after being told that he would put the plan in motion and make sure that no exposé would be released and that their secret would remain a secret, as Toudou will do the work for them by eliminating Akasaka Mamoru and Kuraudo Oishi, which puts the corrupt officials at ease and feel that they would be safe from possible prosecution.

"Okay…"

"Okay…"

"Okay…"

"Okay…"

Toudou could only glare at the corrupt officials as he finds himself forced to do their bidding against his will, and there the corrupt politician told Toudou on what to do, and what would happen if he attempts to defy him, which Toudou reluctantly obliges while glaring at the corrupt politician as he realized what is at stake here.

"You know what's at stake, right?"

"…"

"So you better do as I tell you, got that?"

"…"

"If all goes accordingly, I'll keep my promise."

"…"

"Got that?"

"…"

Hope you liked this chapter of the current story arc, as Akira Toudou takes the spotlight again, and it looks like the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni plot gets revisited as the antagonists of that series are planning something out as they somewhat FORCED Toudou to work for them while Kyuji gets to experiment new combos…
