Hunt For The Mystical Medals

Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the story arc is underway…where a conflict is about to ensue as one of the Detective Conan allies is about TO TURN…which may lead to some…changes…and how this would affect the flow of the story of this fic…as the villains of this arc made their move…

The next day, the scene shifts at the Okinomiya Clinic where Shintaro Gotoh decided to do a surprise, unannounced visit as he thought of checking on Akira Toudou's wife having recalled what Toudou told him before about what befell her before being confined in this clinic, and how this was connected to the Hinamizawa Syndrome, and there he thought of asking Toudou if he ever considered in getting his wife some professional help.

Moreover he recalled that Toudou mentioned that he started working for Kougami in exchange for 100 million Yen, and this made Gotoh curious as he wondered why Toudou would go to such lengths just to earn that much amount, and what would he do with that amount should he succeeded in earning it completely.

As Gotoh arrived and entered the clinic he was taken by surprise as he saw that the inside of the clinic is in total disarray, as equipment and other items are scattered on the floor, and upon further inspection he saw the corpses of the doctor and nurses sprawled onto the ground, all dead and their bodies riddled with bullets, and upon closer inspection, he discovered that the victims have been dead for four days, and there Gotoh noticed that Natsumi is missing and there he attempted to contact Toudou but couldn't get through.

He then contacted Kougami and told him of the situation, which the latter instructed Gotoh to wait there as he will contact the Okinomiya police and from there Gotoh will explain to the police what he has discovered, which Gotoh reluctantly nodded in agreement.

"Now, Gotoh…don't go anywhere at the time being and stay there "

"Okay."

"I will contact the police there and inform them of what happened…"

"Okay."

"Once they arrive you will explain what you saw."

"Okay."

"Good luck, Gotoh."

"Okay."

Much later the scene shows that the Okinomiya police arrived and were taken aback at what they discovered, and there they interrogated Gotoh, who told them his discovery and that Natsumi apparently went missing as her body wasn't among the victims who were gunned down, and he theorized that she was abducted by some group.

"So that's what you suspect, Mr. Gotoh…?"

"Yes.."

"And you believe that there is some kind of kidnapping and murder…?"

"Yes."

"So you came here for a visit and found this scene…?"

"Yes."

"Any idea who is behind this…?"

"No. No idea."

After another few minutes the police investigators reluctantly let Gotoh off the hook as they realized that he can't be deemed a person of interest due to circumstances such as his time of arrival, his discovery of the crime scene and getting a testimonial from Kougami, who was the one who alerted the police as well as the one who instructed Gotoh to talk to them.

At this point Kyuji and Ankh arrived after getting word from Satonaka about what happened, and there Kyuji blinked his eyes after being told that Gotoh was unable to contact Toudou when he attempted to inform him of what happened here at the Okinomiya Clinic.

"Huh? You couldn't reach Toudou…?"

"I'm afraid so."

"No way…"

"I'm worried about what his reaction would be like if he hears about what happened at the clinic…"

"This is bad…"

"For now we may have to get ourselves involved and find out who took Toudou's wife…"

"Can I help out as well…?"

"Yeah. Much appreciate it…"

By then Gotoh received a text message and upon reading it he became alarmed and there he asked Kyuji and Ankh for help, and the former was alarmed at what he was told and there Ankh looks on before deciding that they better head there if what Gotoh's Intel is right or not.

"Fine. I'll tag along. If I may say this there might be a possibility that a Greed or a Yummy might be involved."

"You think so?"

"Ankh may have a point."

"So I say we get going."

"Yeah. Gotoh?"

"Thanks."

"…"

"…"

"Lets move out."

Several minutes later, the scene shifts at a house where Kyuji, Ankh and Gotoh arrived and upon entering the trio became cautious at what they just saw, as everything inside is in disarray, as furniture and equipment are disorganized and in a mess, and there Gotoh began calling for someone and there someone came out from hiding.

It was Akasaka Mamoru, and there he approached Gotoh and told him what happened, causing Gotoh and Kyuji to stare wide-eyed at what they were told: Akira Toudou attacked Akasaka's house using the Birth system and is searching for Akasaka himself! Gotoh listened intently whilst Kyuji is in disbelief at what he just heard and couldn't believe that Toudou would do something like this

"Toudou did that?"

"There has to be some mistake…"

"Its no mistake! He really did this!"

"It can't be…"

"No way…"

"Why would he…?"

"There must be a reason…"

"Like what…?"

Gotoh then recalled what happened at the Okinomiya Clinic and asked Akasaka if he has any knowledge about what happened at the Okinomiya Clinic and Akasaka blinked his eyes and asked Gotoh for confirmation, and upon hearing it Akasaka was surprised and said that he is unaware of what happened there and wondered if Natsumi is alive, as all he knows that no one else know about the fact that Natsumi was staying at the clinic for continuous medication and therapy.

"Huh? You serious?"

"I'm afraid so."

"That can't be!"

"…"

"No one but Akira, Oishi and myself know about Natsumi being placed at the clinic! It's a confidential thing that not even the authorities know about this!"

"Then perhaps someone must have found out and attacked the clinic…"

"If so then…huh?"

"Eh…?"

Then Akasaka's cellphone blared and he received a text message and upon reading it he was shocked. The message came from Kuraudo Oishi, who told Akasaka to watch out for Toudou, saying that he has GONE MAD and is trying to shoot him down, and there Akasaka told Kyuji and Gotoh about it which made the two feel seriously concerned.

Then Gotoh sensed that something is amiss as he recalled that Natsumi is missing and there is no indication that she was shot, and the fact that Toudou is using the Birth system to go after Akasaka and Oishi, and there Gotoh began to suspect something and began to mentally piece together what he suspected.

Suddenly men in SWAT-like outfits barges in and immediately brought out their automatic weapons and aimed at the trio, and there Ankh stood forward and summoned his RIGHT WING and uses it to shield the others as the men in SWAT-like uniforms opened fire, shooting a hail of bullets at Ankh and are focused on trying to shoot their targets down as they seemingly ignore what is happening, as Ankh's wing deflects the bullets.

"Don't stop! Keep shooting! That's an order!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

Kyuji led Akasaka towards the back exit area with Gotoh following, and once they got outside the trio were surprised as an SUV arrived and a dozen men in SWAT-like uniforms came out and brought out their weapons and Gotoh realized that Akasaka is their target, and there he puts on the Birth Driver and slots in a Cell Medal, toggles the switch and initiated his transformation into Kamen Rider Proto-Birth.

Kyuji followed suit as he puts on the Medal-Driver and slots in three Core Medals as he initiates his transformation into Kamen Rider Os in Ta-To-Ba Combo, and there they used their armored forms to deflect the hail of bullets and there Proto-Birth brought out the Cell Blaster and shoots back, forcing the men in SWAT-like uniforms to back away and there he told Os to take Akasaka somewhere safe, which Os nodded in acknowledgement.

"Hino! Take Akasaka and go!"

"Okay!"

"Protect him at all costs!"

"Okay!"

"Don't let anyone harm him!"

"Okay!"

"I'll catch up with you once I take these clowns down!"

"Okay!"

The men in SWAT-like uniforms realized that Os is attempting to escape with Akasaka and one of them brought out an RPG and aimed at Proto-Birth and opened fire, hitting the target yet Proto-Birth was unfazed and began to approach the men in SWAT-like uniforms and began fighting them off, and there he told Os to get going while he holds them off and told him to head towards the DESTINATION which Os got the gist.

"Hino! Take Akasaka and go!"

"Okay!"

"Protect him at all costs!"

"Okay!"

"Head to the place that I sent the information! You'll find that place!"

"Okay!"

"I'll catch up with you once I take these clowns down!"

"Okay!"

As Os led Akasaka towards the streets they found a Ride Vendor and he slots a Cell Medal and pressed a button, which it transformed into its motorcycle form, and as the two are about to board the Ride Vendor, someone showed up and Os stood still whilst Akasaka became terrified, as the someone who showed up was none other than Akira Toudou himself.

There Akasaka demanded to know why is he targeting him and Oishi and why would he want to kill them, and Os looks on as Akasaka pressed for answers from Toudou, causing a very tense atmosphere as Toudou just stood there while Akasaka is ranting emotionally.

"Akira!"

"…"

"What's gotten into you?"

"…"

"Do you know that the clinic got attacked?"

"…"

"And your wife got kidnapped! Aren't you worried? You should go look for her instead of attacking us!"

"…"

Without giving an alibi, Toudou brought out the Birth Driver and fastened it around his waist and slots in a Cell Medal, then toggles the switch and initiated his transformation into Kamen Rider Birth, and there Birth is poised to attack, which prompted Os to stand in between Akasaka and Birth.

Os became apprehensive as he couldn't believe that Toudou would do something like committing murder and demanded to know why Toudou would target an innocent man. He even asked if he is aware of what happened at the Okinomiya Clinic and that Natsumi was abducted yet he got no response from Birth.

"Toudou! Please stop this!"

"…"

"What's gotten into you? Why are you doing this?"

"…"

"Like Akasaka said…are you aware of the fact that the clinic got attacked?"

"…"

"And that your wife got kidnapped? Aren't you worried? The kidnappers might harm her! You should go look for her instead of attacking us! Toudou!"

"…"

Hope you liked this chapter of the current story arc, as Akira Toudou takes the spotlight again, and it looks like the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni plot gets into some plot complications as Akasaka and Oishi revealed that Toudou is trying to kill them, and now Toudou shows up and is ready to carry out the deed…with Os and Proto-Birth standing in the way…
