Hunt For The Mystical Medals

Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the story arc is underway…where a conflict is about to ensue as one of the Detective Conan allies is about TO TURN…which may lead to some…changes…and how this would affect the flow of the story of this fic…as the villains of this arc made their move…

As Os led Akasaka towards the streets they found a Ride Vendor and he slots a Cell Medal and pressed a button, which it transformed into its motorcycle form, and as the two are about to board the Ride Vendor, someone showed up and Os stood still whilst Akasaka became terrified, as the someone who showed up was none other than Akira Toudou himself.

There Akasaka demanded to know why is he targeting him and Oishi and why would he want to kill them, and Os looks on as Akasaka pressed for answers from Toudou, causing a very tense atmosphere as Toudou just stood there while Akasaka is ranting emotionally.

"Akira!"

"…"

"What's gotten into you?"

"…"

"Do you know that the clinic got attacked?"

"…"

"And your wife got kidnapped! Aren't you worried? You should go look for her instead of attacking us!"

"…"

Without giving a statement or an alibi, Toudou brought out the Birth Driver and fastened it around his waist and slots in a Cell Medal, then toggles the switch and initiated his transformation into Kamen Rider Birth, and there Birth is poised to attack, which prompted Os to stand in between Akasaka and Birth.

Os became apprehensive as he couldn't believe that Toudou would do something like committing murder and demanded to know why Toudou would target an innocent man. He even asked if he is aware of what happened at the Okinomiya Clinic and that Natsumi was abducted yet he got no response from Birth.

"Toudou! Please stop this!"

"…"

"What's gotten into you? Why are you doing this?"

"…"

"Like Akasaka said…are you aware of the fact that the clinic got attacked?"

"…"

"And that your wife got kidnapped? Aren't you worried? The kidnappers might harm her! You should go look for her instead of attacking us! Toudou!"

"…"

As if he had no time to lose, Birth took out a Cell Medal and slots it inside the Birth Driver and toggles the lever, and there he summoned the Cutter Wing, which materializes and attached behind Birth's back, forming a a pair of wings, and he flew in a fast speed and tackled Os, sending the latter careening back, and there Birth grabbed Akasaka before flying in the air, and the latter screamed for help as he sensed that Birth would drop him from a great height as he and Birth are now quite high in the air.

"HELP!"

"HELP!"

"SOMEONE SAVE ME!"

"ANYBODY! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"

Os got up and saw what is happening, and there he can hear Akasaka screaming for help which Os realized that Birth is serious about killing Akasaka as the latter pleaded to Birth not to kill him but Birth appeared to be indifferent at Akasaka's pleas.

"NO! DON'T!"

"…"

"DON'T DO THIS, TOUDOU!"

"…"

"PLEASE DON'T DROP ME!"

"PLEASE! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"

Ch. 177: Hitojichi, minoshirokin, shukkoku part 4

Os finds himself in a pinch as he didn't have spare Core Medals with him as the rest are in Ankh's possession and now he is worried on how to reach out to Akasaka as he is in danger of being dropped from a great height, but then Ankh came as he saw what just happened and there Os asked Ankh if he is okay, which the latter said that the SMALL FRIES have been dealt with.

There Ankh threw two Core Medals at Os, and upon catching it he is surprised to see that the two Core Medals turn out to be the Kujaku and Condor Medals, and asked Ankh if he's fine with this, though Ankh told Os to use them and save Akasaka and not waste any more time as Akasaka's life depends on how Os would respond to this kind of emergency.

"If you want to save that guy…use them!"

"Eh…? But what about…"

"Never mind me!"

"But…"

"If you want to save him…do it now!"

"Ankh…"

"Make up your mind already!"

"…fine…"

Nodding, Os removed the Tora and Batta Core Medals and slots in the Kujaku and Condor Medals before scanning them with the Medal Scanner, and he initiated his transformation to TaJaDor Combo, and be flew up to the sky and went after Birth as he is on the verge of dropping Akasaka, where the latter pleaded to Birth not to drop him.

"NO! DON'T! DONT!"

"…"

"DON'T DO THIS, TOUDOU! DON'T DO THIS!"

"…"

"PLEASE DON'T LET GO OF ME!"

"…"

"PLEASE! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"

"…"

As Os is flying upward, Birth drops Akasaka and the latter screamed in terror as he is dropping from the sky, but Os TaJaDor Combo speeds up a bit and managed to catch Akasaka but then Birth slots in a Cell Medal inside the Birth Driver and toggles the lever, where he summons the Breast Cannon and attached onto his armored chest and he flew down and began to open fire.

Os TaJaDor Combo was forced to fly a bit faster and there he told Akasaka to hold on tight and hold his breath as he tries to outmaneuver Birth and he managed to get safely on the ground and there Os asked Ankh for another pair of Core Medals as he told Ankh that he needs his Core Medals to protect Akasaka, which Ankh reluctantly acknowledge the situation.

"Ankh…I need another set of Core Medals…"

"What…? Didn't I…"

"The red Core Medals would come in handy…but you'll need them more…and right now only you can protect Akasaka…"

"Tch…"

"Any other Core Medals would do…"

"…"

"Fine. Use this one…I think it would serve as an alternate since it might give you some flight capabilities…"

"Okay…"

There Ankh gave Os the Suzumega and Cheetah Core Medals while the latter gave the Kujaku and Condor Medals back to Ankh as he initiates his transformation where Os is now armed with the Hawkmoth wings and Cheetah boots, and there he flew to the sky as he confronted Birth and the two Kamen Riders engaged in an aerial dogfight.

Meanwhile Proto-Birth managed to take out the SMALL FRIES and heads towards Ankh, but stopped as he saw an unexpected entrant making its way and there Proto-Birth told Ankh who is behind him, prompting the latter to turn around and he stared wide-eyed in disbelief, as the entrant turn out to be Conankh, with Vermouth accompanying him, and there a smirking Vermouth told Ankh to come along quietly and peacefully, which the latter verbally lashed back at her.

"Oh Ankh…would you please come with us…?"

"What are you up to, you wench?"

"Oh nothing…but my PET wanted some QUALITY TIME with you…"

"Bullshit! Go away already!"

"But Conankh here wanted to play with you and…"

"I'll kill him…and you'll be next!"

"Oh…? And you're not bluffing…?"

"Want a bet?"

Amused at Ankh's defiance, Vermouth told Conankh to GO WILD, which the latter shrieked as he assumed his Greed form and there he demanded the red Core Medals though Ankh told the latter to die as he will not hand over his Core Medals to a mere COPYCAT like Conankh, though the latter just repeated his line as he is fixated in getting the Core Medals from Ankh and nothing more.

"My medals…!"

"Go f*ck off!"

"Give me my medals…!"

"Just go away and die!"

"Core Medals…!"

"Will you leave me alone?"

"My Core Medals…!"

"You crazy copycat!"

Ankh pushed Akasaka towards Proto-Birth and told the latter to take Akasaka somewhere safe while he would deal with Conankh, and Proto-Birth finds himself in a pinch as he knows that Ankh is in a disadvantage against his counterpart, while Os is busy fighting off against Toudou and left with no choice, Proto-Birth activated the Ride Vendor in vehicle mode and had Akasaka board the vehicle while he hops on as well and there he told Akasaka that he would take him somewhere where he would be safe from his would-be attackers.

"Hold on tight, Akasaka…we're bailing out!"

"Okay…"

"I'll keep you safe…and I'll take you to a place where I'm sure that you won't be harmed…"

"Okay…"

"Until then…stay beside me!"

"Okay…"

"Good. So we're leaving now!"

"Okay…"

After that Proto-Birth starts the Ride Vendor in vehicle mode and both he and Akasaka leave the area as Ankh and Conankh faces off as Vermouth taunts Ankh and said that he is soon going to ENJOY A NEW LIFE with Conankh, which further irked Ankh and fired a fireblast, which Conankh summoned his left wing and swats the fireblast aside, and there Vermouth reiterated that Ankh's time would be coming to a close soon, prompting Ankh to verbally retaliate against the Black Organization member.

"Oh Ankh…would you please stop being a SPOILED BRAT and come along with us…? I promise that you'll have a good time…"

"Can it! Just what are you up to, you damn wench?"

"Oh nothing…but my PET wanted some QUALITY TIME with you…he's DYING TO PLAY with you…in fact, he's practically begging…"

"Bullshit! You can't fool me! Go away already! You're already pissing me off!"

"Oh, but as you can see…Conankh here wanted to play with you and…"

"I'll kill him…and

you'll be next!"

"Oh…? And you're not bluffing…?"

"Want a bet?"

Meanwhile, Os is trying to get Birth to stand down and urged him to reveal what is going on and why is he trying to kill Akasaka yet Birth was unwilling to reveal anything as of he is reluctant to say something, which Os sensed that something is preventing Toudou from telling him the reason for his actions and he tried to urge Toudou to open up, assuring to him that if something is compelling him to do something against his will, he and Gotoh would help.

"Toudou!"

"…"

"Please stop this!"

"If someone is forcing you to do this…tell us! We can help!"

Birth clenched his fists as he looked like he is conflicted, and as Os deduced, Birth is under mental pressure as the latter was compelled to act against his will as he fired the Breast Cannon and fired several shots which Os was forced to evade and there he sensed that if his hunch is right, something…or someone…is forcing Toudou to do something against his will and now Os would have to come up with a way to get Toudou to open up so that he and Gotoh might figure out a way to salvage this situation.

Hope you liked this chapter of the current story arc, as Akira Toudou takes the spotlight again, and it looks like the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni plot gets into some plot complications as Akasaka nearly got killed in the hands of Toudou but Os managed to save him before leaving him to Gotoh's care, and now Toudou is ready to take the fight with Os while Proto-Birth attempted to take Akasaka to a safe place…
