Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the story arc is underway…where a conflict is ongoing as one of the Detective Conan allies seemingly TURN against the heroes…which may lead to some…changes…and how this would affect the flow of the story of this fic…as the villains of this arc made their move…

At the Kougami Foundation, the scene shows that Kougami and Satonaka are monitoring the situation via the live recorded footage provided by the Batta Candroid and there Satonaka told Kougami that it looks like things are getting complicated as Kamen Rider Birth is going on the offensive whilst Kamen Rider Proto-Birth is hard-pressed as he is protecting Akasaka.
Kougami nodded as he noted that something is causing Toudou to feel compelled to fight Kyuji and Gotoh and he rubbed his chin as he has a feeling that someone is behind the chain of events that led to the current situation, and this means that they may have to intervene if they are to ensure that Kyuji and Gotoh win this battle.
"It looks like this is a rare time…"
"Time for…?"
"Us to get involved…"
"So we're going to make our move…?"
"Yes…and this requires a careful planning. And this is what you're going to…"
"…okay…I got it…"
"Good. Now get going."
"At once, president."
Nodding, Satonaka got the gist as she leaves the office and Kougami began to make preparations on making the next move, and a few minutes later, a Kougami Foundation trooper came in to inform me Kougami on something, only to sweat-drop at seeing an unexpected sight in front of him, and is quite bewildered at what he just saw right now.
Kougami is pleased to see this as he began baking a cake while playing the radio where the song "happy birthday" is being sung.

As the radio kept on playing the song over and over again, the trooper decided to get to the point and tell the president of the Kougami Foundation about the current situation at hand, which Kougami nodded and said that he is aware of it and gave the trooper some instructions on what to do next.
"…and that's what you're going to do…"
"Yes, president…"
"And this require a bit of patience…are you up to it…?"
"Yes, president…"
"So you understand what it is…?"
"Yes, president…"
"Good. Now get going."

Meanwhile Proto-Birth managed to take out the SMALL FRIES and heads towards Ankh, but stopped as he saw an unexpected entrant making its way and there Proto-Birth told Ankh who is behind him, prompting the latter to turn around and he stared wide-eyed in disbelief, as the entrant turn out to be Conankh, with Vermouth accompanying him, and there a smirking Vermouth told Ankh to come along quietly and peacefully, which the latter verbally lashed back at her.
"Oh Ankh…would you please come with us…?"
"What are you up to, you wench?"
"Oh nothing…but my PET wanted some QUALITY TIME with you…"
"Bullshit! Go away already!"
"But Conankh here wanted to play with you and…"
"I'll kill him…and you'll be next!"
"Oh…? And you're not bluffing…?"
"Want a bet?"
Amused at Ankh's defiance, Vermouth told Conankh to GO WILD, which the latter shrieked as he assumed his Greed form and there he demanded the red Core Medals though Ankh told the latter to die as he will not hand over his Core Medals to a mere COPYCAT like Conankh, though the latter just repeated his line as he is fixated in getting the Core Medals from Ankh and nothing more.
"My medals…!"
"Go f*ck off!"
"Give me my medals…!"
"Just go away and die!"
"Core Medals…!"
"Will you leave me alone?"
"My Core Medals…!"
"You crazy copycat!"
Ankh pushed Akasaka towards Proto-Birth and told the latter to take Akasaka somewhere safe while he would deal with Conankh, and Proto-Birth finds himself in a pinch as he knows that Ankh is in a disadvantage against his counterpart, while Os is busy fighting off against Toudou and left with no choice, Proto-Birth activated the Ride Vendor in vehicle mode and had Akasaka board the vehicle while he hops on as well and there he told Akasaka that he would take him somewhere where he would be safe from his would-be attackers.
"Hold on tight, Akasaka…we're bailing out!"
"Okay…"
"I'll keep you safe…and I'll take you to a place where I'm sure that you won't be harmed…"
"Okay…"
"Until then…stay beside me!"
"Okay…"
"Good. So we're leaving now!"
"Okay…"
After that Proto-Birth starts the Ride Vendor in vehicle mode and both he and Akasaka leave the area as Ankh and Conankh faces off as Vermouth taunts Ankh and said that he is soon going to ENJOY A NEW LIFE with Conankh, which further irked Ankh and fired a fireblast, which Conankh summoned his left wing and swats the fireblast aside, and there Vermouth reiterated that Ankh's time would be coming to a close soon, prompting Ankh to verbally retaliate against the Black Organization member.
"Oh Ankh…would you please stop being a SPOILED BRAT and come along with us…? I promise that you'll have a good time…"
"Can it! Just what are you up to, you damn wench?"
"Oh nothing…but my PET wanted some QUALITY TIME with you…he's DYING TO PLAY with you…in fact, he's practically begging…"
"Bullshit! You can't fool me! Go away already! You're already pissing me off!"
"Oh, but as you can see…Conankh here wanted to play with you and…"
"I'll kill him…and you'll be next!"
"Oh…? And you're not bluffing…?"
"Want a bet?"
Meanwhile, Os is trying to get Birth to stand down and urged him to reveal what is going on and why is he trying to kill Akasaka yet Birth was unwilling to reveal anything as of he is reluctant to say something, which Os sensed that something is preventing Toudou from telling him the reason for his actions and he tried to urge Toudou to open up, assuring to him that if something is compelling him to do something against his will, he and Gotoh would help.

"Please stop this!"

"If someone is forcing you to do this…tell us! We can help!"

Birth clenched his fists as he looked like he is conflicted, and as Os deduced, Birth is under mental pressure as the latter was compelled to act against his will as he fired the Breast Cannon and fired several shots which Os was forced to evade and there he sensed that if his hunch is right, something…or someone…is forcing Toudou to do something against his will and now Os would have to come up with a way to get Toudou to open up so that he and Gotoh might figure out a way to salvage this situation.
Buckling under pressure Birth screamed as he fired the Breast Cannon in successive shots but Os managed to evade them and now he realized that Toudou is being pressured to kill Akasaka and all that Os need is to figure out who is pulling the strings and find out if Toudou's wife is in the hands of the kidnappers who are forcing Toudou to attack an innocent man.
Os uses the Suzumega Medal to fly around in circles which Birth followed suit and the two began to engage in an aerial fisticuff as they are trading blows, but then Os uses the Hawkmoth wings to produce pollen-like powder particles which touched Birth, resulting in a series of explosions which knocked the latter and began to descend towards the ground.
Just as Os is about to follow he was interrupted as Ankh and Conankh (in his Greed form) zoomed past him and there the two fired their respective fireballs which stuck one another but ended up in a stalemate, however Conankh flew fast and managed to strike his left claw onto Shinichi's comatose body, and Ankh screams out in pain, causing him to fall but Os managed to catch him, but then both saw Conankh taking the Kujaku Core Medal and absorbed it, powering him once more.
"Ankh!"
"Damn it…!"
"Are you okay?"
"Do I look like I'm okay to you?"
"Ankh…"
"That damn doppelganger took my Core Medal…!"
"This is bad…we better retreat for now…!"
"Tch…!"
As Conankh is about to launch an attack Os uses the Hawkmoth wings and flapped them thoroughly and emitted many explosive pollen-like powder samples which struck Conankh and the Bird-Greed fell onto the ground just as Os held onto Ankh and flew away, which Conankh was screeching in irritation though Vermouth assured to her PET that he will get Ankh next time.
Moreover, the female member of the Black Organization told Conankh that he got the Kujaku Core Medals and now all he needs is to take the remaining red Core Medals from Ankh, which Conankh could only nod while replying incoherently.
"Patience, Conankh. You'll get your medals."
"Yes…"
"For now let's wait for another chance."
"Yes…"
"At least you have six medals in you now."
"Yes…"
"So let's not rush…okay?"
"Yes…"
Conankh then saw Birth getting up before punching the ground in frustration, and as Conankh considered taking his frustration out onto the nearest Kamen Rider, Vermouth told him that now is not the time yet as she sees that Birth appeared to be in a mental state of disarray, and she felt that it is no fun in taking advantage like that as Birth is not himself at the moment.
Patience, Conankh. You'll get your chance to beat him up…but now's not the right time."
"Yes…"
"For now let's wait for another chance. That guy's not in the right head at the moment, so it's no fun playing with him in that condition."
"Yes…"
"Lets see where this would take us."
"Yes…"
"So let's not rush…we have time "
"Yes…"
Not far, Dr. Maki and Kazari were watching the scene and the feline-Greed is baffled as to why Vermouth held Conankh back as it is a good opportunity to remove a nuisance, but Maki told Kazari about what took place a while ago, as someone hiding behind the shadows is forcing Toudou to attack an innocent man and forced to battle Os.
"…and that's what I observed. And for the first time I find it…baffling."
"Oh, you worry so much…"
"Maybe…"
"Wasn't he a foil to your plans…?"
"Perhaps…but I still have plans for him…"
"If so…you better make up your mind…"
"I intend to…"
"Whatever."
At another side, Akako Koizumi and Mezeru were watching the scene as well and the two females were intrigued as they wondered who is pulling the strings and managed to force Birth to do one's bidding without worrying about the latter's possible retaliation.
"…hmmm…now this is intriguing…yet I find it…baffling."
"Oh, really…? I say it's an interesting development…"
"Maybe…that Kamen Rider is forced to do one's bidding without question…"
"Perhaps we should figure out who is pulling the strings…?"
"Perhaps…but we need to find a lead…"
"If so…want me to create a Yummy and find the puppet master…?"
"Good idea…"
"Fine."
At another area, Rose and Spider of the Magic Kaito Organization were watching the scene, and with them was Gameru, as they saw what transpired yet Spider question her why they didn't jump in on the chance to take down Os and Ankh but she assured to him that the right timing would come but for now they should figure out their next step as charging through brazenly would be disastrous to her and Gameru.
"You know what I mean, Spider. We can't just barge through and attack. You know what they're capable of."
"But still…"
"Mezeru…"
"Trust me, Spider…when the time's right…we'll have our chance. But for now…"
"Oh, fine!"
"Mezeru…"
"Easy, Gameru…"
"Would you please make this oaf shut up…?"
Suddenly, someone approached Rose and Gameru, and there she raised an eyebrow as the unidentified person greeted her and began offering her something, which she finds it intriguing and there she is willing to listen to what this person has to say.

Several minutes later, the scene shifts at the Kougami Foundation, where Gotoh and Akasaka arrived, just as Satonaka also arrived, and with her is was Kuraudo Oishi, and the latter was surprised to see Akasaka here and the two were more baffled upon realizing that they both share the same predicament: both were targeted by Akira Toudou!
"Akasaka?"
"Oishi?"
"You're here?"
"Yeah, these guys brought me here after telling me that I'm in danger…"
"Me too!"
"Seriously?"
"Yeah!"
"No way!"
There Satonaka told Gotoh why Oishi is here and Gotoh nodded as he figured that something is up and that they are facing some unidentified group that wanted Oishi and Akasaka dead, and surmised that this has something to do with the Hinamizawa incident and about Toudou's past and Toudou's wife.
As they entered the office of Kougami, they were surprised to see Kougami prancing around as he just signed a lucrative business deal and he was so happy that he is prancing like an idiot whilst listening to the singing tune of the birthday song, and there Gotoh sighed and attempted to get Kougami's attention.
"President Kougami!"
"…"
"Listen up!"
"…"
"This isn't the time to dance around!"
"…"
"Are you listening to me?"
"…"
At the same time, Kyuji and Ankh arrived and saw the scene in front of them and there Kyuji asked Satonaka what is going on, only to sweat-drop upon hearing the reason why Kougami is prancing around despite being seen by other people, and there he wondered if Kougami is aware of the present situation.
Hilarity ensued as Kougami took Gotoh in his arms and began dancing the cotillion, which is a type of patterned social dance that originated in France in the 18th century. Gotoh was confused by this and tries to reason with the president but then Kougami began leading the dance this time in a wedding-style, and through the tune and beat of the music of Fox trot, two-step, or rumba, the vocal lyrics of "happy birthday" is still being played and Kougami began singing it in front of a now-flustered Gotoh.

As Kougami's face is nearing Gotoh's he began making "cute eyes" gestures, causing the others to stare wide-eyed in surprise at what they just saw, and in the process it freaked Gotoh out and smacked him on the head while pushing himself against the wall, berating him for making "suggestive" gestures much to Satonaka's surprise, though Kougami let it slide and began explaining himself to Gotoh why he shouldn't get too tense over something.
"GGGYYYAAHHH!"
SPLAG!
"Gotoh, you idiot! You just decked the president of the Kougami Foundation!"
"You saw what he did! He's trying to make a move on me! Just like the last time!"
"Ah...just the reaction I like...I LIKE IT! I AM SO GAY! SPLENDID!"
"What?"
"EH?"
Kyuji, Akasaka and Oishi stared wide-eyed at the apparent pronouncement from Kougami which caused them to have mixed reactions and wondered if Kougami is being serious or is just joking around in order to relax the mood within the office, which had little effect.
Surprisingly, several employees of the Kougami Foundation came rushing in, hearing Kougami shouting that he is "GAY", and each and every one of them stood in shock at seeing the president of the Kougami Foundation "coming out of the closet", and even investors rushed in, as they too couldn't believe that Kougami proclaiming that he is "GAY".
"What?"
"Is it true?"
"You're gay?"
"So you're a homosexual?"
"I thought you like attractive women and pretty girls?"
"The Kougami Foundation's image has been tainted…there goes my career!"
"Investors will be turned off…"
"If you're gay…why aren't you wearing make-up?"
As the employees are having an apparent PANIC ATTACK at the DISCOVERY, Satonaka tried to quell off the comments as she feared that it might lead to unwanted rumors, but Kougami was able to rebut and took control of the situation, much to everyone's relief.
"No-no-no...what I mean is...I'm so happy!"
"Whew…"
"That was close…"
"And I thought…"
"So he's happy…that's what he meant…"
"Thank goodness the investors will be pleased…"
"Thank goodness he's still a man…"
"And to think he's not "straight"…"
"Yeah…"
But then Kougami began showing a "THREATENING" side of him which intimidated his employees so as to keep them in line, much to Gotoh's surprise.
"WHAT?! ARE YOU SAYING THAT I'M A HOMOSEXUAL?! WHO THOUGHT OF THAT?! WHO WANTS TO BE LAID OFF?!"
"No…not me…"
"I didn't say anything…"
"We thought you we're proclaiming something…"
"Just want to say how manly you are…"
"Er…I just want to ask for a raise…"
"Can I taste your cake…?"
"Can I take your picture…"
"Are you really not gay…?"
"THEN GO BACK TO WORK! THE LAST PERSON STANDING HERE WILL BE FIRED! YES…I LIKE TO FIRE SOMEONE…SPLENDID…SPLENDID INDEED!"
And everyone left Kougami's office in a hurry and with their privacy restored, Kougami shifts his attention back to Gotoh and proclaimed that he is happy again, and that's where Gotoh snapped.
"HOW CAN YOU BE SO HAPPY WHEN WE HAVE A SITUATION IN OUR HANDS? SOMEONE'S BLACKMAILING TOUDOU TO ATTACK TWO INNOCENT MEN AND ALL YOU DO IS PRANCE AROUND LIKE A CRAZY BALLERINA?"
"Ah…there is no need to worry, Gotoh...look at the monitor and you'll see why I am not worried at all..."
"Huh?"
"See, Gotoh…I am monitoring things from here so I'm updated to what is happening here…"
"So you're following Toudou and…huh…?"
"Hee-hee-hee…"
"Isn't that…?"
"Surprised, Gotoh…?"

Hope you liked this chapter of the current story arc, as Akira Toudou takes the spotlight again, and it looks like the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni plot gets into some plot complications as Akasaka nearly got killed in the hands of Toudou but Os managed to save him before leaving him to Gotoh's care, and now Toudou is ready to take the fight with Os while Proto-Birth attempted to take Akasaka to a safe place…
And though Akasaka and Oishi are safe as they managed to get to the Kougami Foundation, problem arose as Conankh re-take the Kujaku Core Medals and Ankh is once more weakened, thus Os loses access to the Ta-Ja-Dor Combo…
