In the gym...
As Ladybug's team gathered around getting ready to leave, Class 1-A brought down all of their things from the classroom. They were carrying their school bags and suitcases from their field trip. Watching them carry their things down felt so weird. Even Ladybug felt weird seeing them getting ready to leave.
Su Han and Mr. Aizawa both stood there quietly going over what their plans were. Luckily, there was no disturbance or fights breaking out between them. Ladybug was worried about them not getting along, but realized that Mr. Aizawa knew how to handle these sort of situations.
Midoriya came down behind Uraraka and set down his suitcase. Ladybug smiled at him, and Midoriya couldn't help but tear up a little.
"You know, I actually thought it would be easy. Leaving Paris," Midoriya said to her, "But it's not really Paris that's hard to leave, it's you guys. I haven't had so much fun helping you guys out with hero stuff. Sure, it was a little scary at times, and really weird with the whole, bunny ears thing and the transforming."
Ladybug noticed him getting emotional and felt herself start to feel it too. Midoriya's eyes looked glossy from trying to hold in the tears.
"I had so much fun. Thank you for bringing us here," Midoriya said to her, "I promise to help defeat Chrysalis and HawkMoth."
He dropped his suitcase and hugged Ladybug. He could feel Ladybug hug him back, making him tighten his hold on her. For a while, they just hugged as Class 1-A felt a little teary eyed watching them hug. After they decided to separate from each other, he noticed her crying as well. She wiped her tears away and looked so happy to them all together before heading home.
"Izuku, I'm just so happy that I got the chance to meet you," Ladybug said to him, "I never thought I would ever meet someone as amazing as you, or any of your friends. You and everyone else mean so much to me. I just feel bad for taking a tiny bit of One for All from you."
"Yeah, me too," Cat Noir said as he joined in on the fun, "I still have a tiny bit of it as well."
Midoriya looked down at his Miraculous, and he was really happy with the way things turned out. He looked up to see the Parisian heroes and realized he had passed a little bit of One for All down. He was actually happy that they had some of it.
"It's okay. Just think of it as a friendly reminder of us being friends, even when we're not all together," Midoriya said to them.
Cat Noir couldn't hold it back any longer and started crying. He gave Midoriya a hug, just really happy to finally help all of their friends back home.
"Oh my gosh, you guys," Queen Bee said to them, "We haven't even started to head out yet, and you're all already crying."
Soon enough, Ladybug and Cat Noir pulled themselves together and got ready to head out. Then Ladybug remembered something before they left the school.
"Oh, Ochaco. I actually have something for you," Ladybug said to her.
Ladybug opened up her yo-yo and it glowed pink. She pulled out a pair of gloves, and Uraraka's eyes shined brightly. Then Uraraka remembered that people were watching them as they got ready.
"I believe these are yours."
"Ladybug, did Marinette make these?" Uraraka asked with such joy.
"Yes. She did," Ladybug said back, "Just as you asked. You can finally keep your quirk under control."
Uraraka took them from her and put them on to try them out. She smiled so widely when they fit her so well.
"Oh my gosh! They're perfect! Thank you, Ladybug!" Uraraka cried out.
Ladybug and Uraraka hugged each other, with tears in their eyes. Uraraka felt herself laugh a little at how crazy all of this was.
"Hey. Do you want to know something funny?" Uraraka asked her, still hugging her.
"What?"
"I used to think Izuku liked you as more than a friend when we first met," Uraraka said to her.
Ladybug felt herself burst out laughing and separated from her to face her.
"Yeah. That is funny," Ladybug said back, "Izuku is a great friend, and I'm so glad that you two are finally together. I can tell that he cares a lot about you. Just make sure you make time for yourself when you go back to Japan."
Uraraka smiled as she felt a little emotional just talking to her about leaving.
"Of course. Thank you so much," Uraraka said to her.
"And whatever happens out there, I want you to be careful. I don't exactly know what Chrysalis is going to do with your Miraculous," Ladybug warned her.
"Got it," Uraraka nodded with determination.
They all gathered their things together and put them all into a bus Ladybug and Cat Noir were able to borrow from the school. Once everything was in there, Mr. Aizawa got in to get things settled. Su Han went in there with him to make sure things were all set.
"Wow. I'm still blown away with these horseless carts. First a car, and now this," Su Han said more to himself as he looked around the bus.
"I'm guessing you haven't been out for a while, huh?" EraserHead pointed out.
"No. I was in limbo for an over hundred years because of some child messing with something he shouldn't have," Su Han said, clearly still holding a grudge.
Mr. Aizawa didn't know what to say to that, so he cleared his throat and kept going on their mission.
Ladybug and Cat Noir stood in front of the big group of heroes and heroes in training. They all stood there confidently as they got their attention.
"Okay. We all know why we're here," Ladybug announced to everyone, "Everyone's here to finally defeat Chrysalis and HawkMoth. Not only that, but our friends here are heading home today as well."
Everyone watched the Parisian heroes stand tall as they talked about what they were going up against.
"Everyone knows what's going on, we're here to help our friends from Japan get home safe and sound. We were here to make sure that happens. Chrysalis and HawkMoth are trying to get through along with them, that's what they are planning on doing. We all know what they did to Izuku, Katsuki and Ochaco's quirk. If they get through, then Class 1-A and their friends are in trouble. Their Japan is very different, they have so many quirks and superpowers that Chrysalis could easily create her own army of akumatized villains. We can't let that happen."
Class 1-A and Ladybug's teammates all looked at them determined and confident that they can do this. Midoriya, Bakugo and Uraraka stood together, knowing full well what Chrysalis was up to.
"Alright, we're all here. Let's go and get our friends home!" Ladybug cried out.
"Go Beyond!" Viperion cried out.
"Plus Ultra!" Everyone else cried out, surprising Class 1-A.
Ladybug and Cat Noir were confused as to what that was exactly, but they were happy to see them getting along finally.
Class 1-A all settled into the bus once they all got their hero costumes on. Midoriya and Bakugo quickly transformed and followed suit. They all got ready to leave as Ladybug and her team got ready to take off. Midoriya opened up his backpack and made sure his upgrades were still there. He was so confident once he saw them all there, all seven of them.
"So, you've got all of your upgrades, huh?" Bakugo asked him.
"Yeah. Hopefully they all work out," Midoriya said back, "I only tried the red one. That one is Black Whip, but Ladybug and Cat Noir also have some just in case they have one of the quirks as well."
"Right. Since they have One for All as well," Bakugo pointed out.
"Yeah. I just really want to defeat Chrysalis and HawkMoth so they don't have to deal with them anymore," Midoriya said to him.
"They deserve a break, that's for sure," Uraraka said joining in as she admired her gloves.
"Whoa, Ochaco. Those gloves are cool!" Midoriya cried out, "Where'd you get them?"
"Marinette made them for me. I asked her to make them," Uraraka explained, "Don't they look amazing? She said the extra padding should protect my quirk better."
"That's so awesome! She'd make a wonderful costume designer in U.A.!" Midoriya commented with so much joy.
"Yeah..." Uraraka said starting to feel upset, "I wish she could come with us. Just to meet everyone at least."
Midoriya and Uraraka sat together quietly, feeling a little sad that they were leaving all of their friends from Paris behind. Bakugo noticed this and couldn't help but think about Chloe. He tried to shake it off, but something about it felt really comforting.
"You two have to focus on what we're doing. Chrysalis might end up using your Miraculous, Uraraka," Bakugo said to them, "We all know they are going to. And Deku, One for All is still a part of their plan. Don't worry about Ladybug and Cat Noir. They can handle this."
Midoriya and Uraraka were surprised to see him so level headed during all of this. They all knew that Bakugo might end up leaving with them, but they didn't know. He could change his mind at the last second. All they wanted to do was make sure all of their friends made it through with no problem whatsoever. They both nodded at him.
"Alright, it's almost time. The Eiffel Tower is where your friends are going to show up," Ladybug announced, "You guys stay behind us while we take a look at what's going on. We'll let you know what's going on through the communication device that I gave to Izuku and EraserHead."
Class 1-A all got ready as Mr. Aizawa waited for Ladybug to give them the go ahead. Ladybug and her teammates all took off towards the Effiel Tower, all looking determined to help their friends get back home. The whole class sat there, looking a little nervous. None of them knew what Chrysalis and HawkMoth were planning exactly to get through. All they knew is that Uraraka and Midoriya were the key to getting through, whatever that meant. They all knew One for All was a part of the plan, but now it looks like things have changed a little.
After what felt like a long minute, Ladybug gave them the go ahead. Mr. Aizawa nodded and headed towards the Eiffel Tower. He drove the bus a little slower just so he could keep a distance from Ladybug and her team. He carefully looked around for any sign of Chrysalis and HawkMoth. So did everyone else in the bus.
Nothing. It was a really clear and beautiful day outside.
As he drove through the streets of Paris, everyone could see Ladybug and her team running along the sides of the buildings. Ladybug didn't fly this time around but instead ran with everyone else.
Class 1-A felt a little nervous as they got further away from the school and more closer to the Eiffel Tower. They all tried to relax, but they all knew that Chrysalis and HawkMoth had a plan to show up.
Midoriya sat next to Uraraka, and she held his hand as they waited for them to arrive. He could tell that things might get crazy. Holding her hand helped him relax a little, but then he spotted something on her fingertip.
It was a ladybug.
"Ochaco, you have a ladybug on you," Midoriya said to her.
Uraraka looked down to see it crawling on her hand. She smiled at it, realizing what they represented. She felt so lucky to have found it and felt so relieved. It kept crawling all around her hand and then landed on her one of her finger pads.
"It's giving us good luck," Uraraka said to him.
"Tsk, you really believe in that stuff?" Bakugo said to them.
"Sure. Besides, we could probably use a bit of good luck by now," Uraraka said back.
She held it up as it flew around and landed on her nose. She giggled at it, remembering Ladybug's hug to her. Then it flew away and out of a window that cracked open. She felt sad that it left them. Uraraka looked out the window and spotted the hero Ladybug running along the buildings of Paris. She smiled as she watched them running towards the Eiffel Tower. She looked over towards it and noticed that they were almost there.
Something about it made her really nervous. She felt something in her stomach as they got closer. It felt like it was in knots. She sat down, feeling it get a little worse.
"Ochaco, what's wrong?" Midoriya asked her, looking concerned.
"I just don't feel so good. I'm sure it's nothing," Uraraka said to him.
"Izuku... EraserHead..." Ladybug said through the communication device, "Chrysalis is no where to be seen so far... We're heading towards the Eiffel Tower right now..."
"Got it, Ladybug," Mr. Aizawa said back to her.
Then Uraraka spotted something going on with her quirk. Everyone sat up straight when they saw her quirk glowing pink right through the gloves. Her eyes were even glowing pink a little. She couldn't stop looking at it, and then felt a sense of relief come over her.
The gloves seemed to be working. Nothing happened.
"Chrysalis," Uraraka growled out, "She's trying to stop us by using my quirk. Good thing these gloves work."
Midoriya couldn't believe what was going on. Uraraka's quirk was turning on, but not because of her. It was Chrysalis, and she wasn't backing down now. Uraraka tried to deactivate her quirk with her gloves on, and it worked.
"You need to stick with me," Midoriya said to her, "I don't want Chrysalis taking advantage of you."
"Izuku, that might be exactly what Chrysalis expects. We might have to separate if we want to defeat her," Uraraka explained to him.
"I'll do it," Bakugo said, "I'll keep her safe if something happens."
Midoriya and Uraraka both shared a surprised look, but then realized how much closer they've all gotten. Midoriya squeezed her hand one last time before letting her go.
"Please, be careful," Midoriya said to her.
"Of course."
Soon enough, they were finally coming up on the Eiffel Tower. The bus came to a complete stop, and Mr. Aizawa stood up to face his students. Then Ladybug went through the communication device.
"Everyone, please be careful," Ladybug said, "I've got my team scattered everywhere around the Eiffel Tower. If anyone spots Chrysalis or HawkMoth, they'll notify me over the communication device."
Midoriya held the communication device close to his ear, trying to focus on what she said.
"You got that, Midoriya?" Mr. Aizawa asked him.
"Yes. I got it," Midoriya said back.
"That was Ladybug. She just told me and Midoriya that her teammates are scattered all around the Eiffel Tower. If they spot anyone, they'll let us know and come down to help us out," Mr. Aizawa explained to his class.
"That's good. She seems to know what she's doing this time around," Su Han said mostly to himself, "Hopefully, everything goes to plan."
Mr. Aizawa got back to driving, when he thought he saw something in the distance. There was something in the sky coming towards them. It looked like an akuma flying around, looking for someone to land on.
"EraserHead, what's wrong?" Midoriya asked him as he got up to check.
He looked out the window and could see the akuma flying closer to the bus. This was the start of Chrysalis's plan.
"Get ready," Mr. Aizawa said to them, "There's an akuma coming our way."
Mr. Aizawa floored it and drove a little faster, surprising the class. Midoriya held onto the railings since he didn't make it to the seat. His heart was beating so fast that he couldn't hear anything else. The akuma got closer to them, but he easily drove away from it.
"EraserHead, what're you doing down there?" Ladybug asked through the device, "Is something wrong?"
"There's an akuma. Chrysalis is around here somewhere," Mr. Aizawa said to her, "I'm not letting her get any of my students akumatized ever again."
Midoriya held onto the railings as his teacher took off towards the Eiffel Tower. He could tell that Mr. Aizawa really meant business, noticing his quirk activating. His red piercing eyes glared right at the Tower as he kept driving towards it.
Then something stopped it from going any further, making Midoriya get knocked down from the impact. Before anyone could react or do anything, something was coming after the roof of the bus. It was tearing it off like it was tin foil, and then the whole thing came right off. The wind had picked up all of a sudden as Midoriya looked up to see HawkMoth flying above them all with his purple wings.
His blue piercing eyes targeted him immediately as his grin widened.
"You're finally here, Izuku Midoriya," HawkMoth said, "You're coming with us."
Midoriya's eyes were filled with rage as he tried to activate One for All. Suddenly, he felt a felt himself stiffen up and something pulling him out of the bus.
"No! Izuku!" Uraraka cried out as he gripped onto him.
Then Iida ran over to help them out and pulled him back in. Bakugo quickly aimed his explosion right at HawkMoth, but he quickly dodged it. Then all of a sudden, Purple Tigress came in and punched HawkMoth with all of her might. The powerful wind coming from her fist caused his grip on Midoriya to let go of him. HawkMoth was sent flying into a building, and Ladybug's team was ready to attack him.
Midoriya fell to the floor of the bus, feeling his heart beating so fast that he couldn't keep up with what just happened. He felt like he had to catch his breath for a moment. HawkMoth almost took him so easily, and no one expected it.
"Izuku, are you okay?!" Uraraka cried out, "Ha-HawkMoth, he almost got you..."
"Ye-Yeah... but I'm okay," Midoriya said back as he sat up, "Thanks to Purple Tigress."
"Stay on your guard," Mr. Aizawa announced to everyone, "I am not letting any one of you get taken away. Not again."
Midoriya stood up and noticed that they were still a bit far from the Eiffel Tower. The bus was torn up at the top, but it could still drive.
"Shouldn't we get out of the bus and help Ladybug and her team?" Iida asked Mr. Aizawa, "HawkMoth just tried to take Midoriya away!"
"No. Not yet," Mr. Aizawa said to them, "I'm not letting any of you out of my sight. Ladybug and her team are handling things for now."
"B-But, sir. We have to do something," Sato said back, "We said that we would help Ladybug defeat HawkMoth."
"She'll let us know when she needs us," Mr. Aizawa growled back, "I need everyone to stay close. Uraraka and Midoriya can't leave the bus. Not when Chrysalis is still out there somewhere."
"Mr. Aizawa's right," Midoriya said back, "Me and Ochaco can't go anywhere. Not when they're out there. We need to stick together and listen to Mr. Aizawa."
Mr. Aizawa was surprised to hear him of all people say that. He felt himself chuckle a little as he got ready to keep going.
"I didn't expect you to say that, Midoriya. I guess you have grown a little," Mr. Aizawa said to him.
Then he motioned Midoriya to sit down and drove fast towards the Eiffel Tower. Midoriya looked out the window and felt a breeze coming from the top of the roof. As they got closer, he noticed Ladybug's team fighting against HawkMoth. They were all running all over the buildings to stop him from getting to the bus. Some were successful at grabbing him, and others were getting swung around by his invisible grip.
"They are really going at it," Todoroki said to them.
Then they saw Ladybug flying through the air so fast that it was hard to tell who it was for a moment. They were all in awe as she seemed to be glowing pink from One for All. Sparkles were coming off of her wings as they flapped in the wind. She looked all around for something or someone, but they never showed up.
Midoriya then spotted someone behind her floating. His eyes widened in horror once they got closer to her.
"Ladybug! Behind you!" Midoriya cried out through the device.
Suddenly Ladybug turned around and was too late make the first move. They quickly attacked using their cane, but Ladybug quickly grabbed it before it could hit her. Everyone was starting to get closer to the windows watching Ladybug handle things with them. They all noticed that they were almost there.
"Come on, Mr. Aizawa," Iida said to him, "We're almost there."
Just as they got right in front of the Eiffel Tower, they suddenly felt a tug on the bus. Midoriya felt it flip over and before he knew it, he was on the ground. The wind picked up as he felt himself waking up from the fall. His green hair blew all around him as he lifted his head from the pounding head ache he had just gotten. His arms ached as he sat up, but then he stopped when he heard a familiar voice right above him.
"Hey Izuku. It's been a while, hasn't it?"
He looked up to see Chrysalis smiling down at him, floating in the air.
Another amazing chapter!
This was so much fun to write! It's finally here! Everyone's about to go home! It's still going to be a while because this fight will be crazy, but still! I've wondering for a while how this might turn out, and it's finally here!! I'm really liking the way things are coming together for Midoriya, Uraraka and Bakugo! This set up was a lot of fun to write as well! The whole thing with Uraraka's quirk is actually really fun to write, because I think it's the one quirk that could pull this kind of thing off. With someone having the other end of the connection basically, it's just works somehow. We will see how this unfolds really soon!
