Cleaning Break 7 - (League of Legends Gameverse, Janitor!MC)

A little lost Lamb. Or maybe not.

Wandering through the halls of this supposed 'Resting Ground', the silent gaze of the Kind Spirit of Death capture the eerie peace of this realm. It was similar to the one she was familiar with back into the world of spirits. Yet, it was also different.

She was also not alone or lost, being bundled in a group of similar-minded spirits as they followed the peculiar human that 'rescued' them. He couldn't precisely tell them what led them to that situation, but he explained what was going to happen onward.

Since the Spirit Realm was sealed off for the time being due to the 'Pollution' having strained the connection between realms, they were granted rooms to enjoy the overall place in peace. All at the mere pirce of: 1) Not causing any fight; 2) not breaking anything; 3) And not disturbing the janitor at work.

This 'janitor' was the human, Jim. He was a 'cleaner' for this place which was... perplexing within the mind of the spirits. Humans would need one of their kin to do such a heavy chore for their own messes? It felt a bit preposterous, even more when Lillia inquired if he was just jesting but... yes.

He was supposed to 'clean' the battlefield after the 'Champions' were done fighting. The idea was... odd. Weird? Maybe insane. Those were the words used by Ahri, the pink-furred kitsune particularly shocked by the fact that he would have spent time cleaning at the 'promise of a pause'.

Balance was needed in most things, Lamb knew this solely for being the balance of Quiet and Violet Death with Wolf, yet this 'Whisperer' knew not of this important matter. And thus Lamb saw this entity as a chaotic entity at best.

Despite this, her scorn was easily suppressed as they were soon introduced to their room.

Each was 'customized to be close to their other selves'. Right, another important detail was that some of those Champions were counterpart to them and... Lamb had nothing to complain over the unusual room she was greeted with.

The smell of a green forest produced by the natural wall-decorations and the portraits of beautiful landscapes made her smile at the wonderful place that was now hers to treat as her room. Wolf was most amused by the large cushioned bed supposed to be his, dark-purple in color and yet comfy enough to draw a pleased sigh from the earnest beast upon resting on it.

Lamb's bed was equally good. She felt her body sink in the mattress, and she couldn't help but remark how much of a cloud this felt like. Lamb yawned, having initially planned to not sleep as suggested by the janitor, but Jim's advice was soon validated by the tiredness that they were warned about.

With a loud yawn, Lamb pressed her cheek on the pillow, softly dragged to rest while Wolf started to loudly snore - his noises far from distracting as it brought her ever so much of a delighted smile.

Hours went by as Lamb's dreamless slumber concluded the next morning. She slipped out of bed, noticing that Wolf was awake and quietly looking at her as she stretched and looked around. Her belly rumbled - or maybe it was Wolf's - yet both were soon marching out of the room and... following the glowing yellow arrows leading them to what looked to be a large mass hall.

Some of their fellow spirits were already there. Passing by the table they were using, it was Yasuo to tell them what to do to acquire food like the one they were already eating.

"Go to the counter and ask Jim."

He is also a cook?

Wolf decided to warm a seat while Lamb strolled off to the counter. Jim was indeed working orders through the use of tall food-dispensing devices. She was supposed to give him an order for her food and he would get the machine to produce it.

At this point, Lamb was very confused on the chores of the human, but she merely asked for the meal and, not even a minute later, she was walking back to the table with two trays. One for wolf and one for herself. Despite the delicious food, Lamb's mind was still on Jim and his businesses. And while the other spirits took the offer from Helial to see the 'fun rooms' in the realm, Lamb and Wolf decided to stalk Jim's steps.

Originally, this was meant to be a trip to sate her curiosity on his own efforts, but then it devolved into something else entirely. As they entered a very familiar battlefield, Kindred saw how Jim, plus some minions were already patching all that remained of the previous invasion attempt. Some tools were familiar, like a broom and dusters, but other devices involved magic of sort to pump water against the 'tougher filth'.

Yet, just watching wasn't enough. Lamb asked to help and, while Jim appeared surprised and reluctant by her request, he gave her chores. Nothing too obscenely difficult, and it was enough to feel the work was pleasant when doing it with others.

Wolf trailed behind, his peculiar frame allowed him to reach places that required ladders or other means to reach greater heights. The labor was thus cut intensely through their assistance, and while they didn't expect any reward for helping, the one that both got was met with similar positivity.

Wolf shuddered as Jim scratched his lengthy chin, while Lamb had... a headpat.

"Good job. I mean it."

As the work was done and Lamb could not return to the other spirits to discuss what those fun rooms were all about, there was a lingering sense of warmth within as her new friend had left her with a gesture that pierced through her usual shell. Then again, she had opened up first, thus leaving herself exposed to this surprisingly pleasant development.

"Is everything alright, Lamb?" Ahri asked, the kitsune's voice interrupting others and they saw the reason behind the pink-haired woman's query.

"Hm?"

"You have quite the smile on your face."

Her cheeks flushed red at being noticed but... she nodded.

"I am just happy."

After all, she made quite a nice friend now.

Or maybe... she was looking for more.
