Timeskip - a week later
The lunchtime sun hung over the city, bombarding it with heat rays like the German planes did on London with their bombs during the second world war. These rays caused the teacher strolling down a street to sweat slightly, but Karasuma didn't pay much attention to it compared to his overall objective.
Currently, he was heading to one of the student's houses which was the first one on his list to visit. He had already informed the school's director of the situation and he had accepted the request to dig into this without complaint, which honestly Karasuma had found rather weird because usually, it would take days for him to decide.
For the old director to accept without any thoughts increased the coach's worries.
Hardening his eyes, Karasuma walked faster before stopping at a couple of houses, running his gaze across them and paying specific attention to their number plates. 'Looks like I'm where I want to be…' the man thought after pulling out his phone, looking at the digital records of the student's address. Now that he was here, Karasuma briefly adjusted his tie and walked straight to one of the house's doors, stopping right in front of it.
For the past week, he had been visiting several of his students' homes and apartments, trying to get to the bottom of where they had been vanishing too. He had heard how teens entered their rebellious phases at that age point, but he hadn't thought that young adults of university age could be capable of the same mischief. It kind of irked him inside, although he had long since gotten used to seeing such complacency across his time on this earth so Karasuma hardly let it bother him.
However, there was something about this time that felt… different, to the Coach. A lot of it had to do with his investigation into these disappearances, several pieces of intel having rung some old alarm bells he had forgotten resided within him. Whenever he tried to get a response or an answer at these impromptu home visits, he would find that there was literally no one in those houses with some even having been seemingly abandoned, resembling haunted houses one might see in carnivals with how to decrypt they had become after prolonged lacking in maintenance.
In some cases, Karasuma took the chance to ask the landlords of various apartments if he could enter their rooms, and after gaining permission to do so he'd enter those rooms… only to find that those places were quite literally empty. It wasn't just the students, but also the parents and guardians who also just up and vanished into thin air. Even their neighbors, friends and relatives had said they haven't heard them for the past couple of days.
This worried him a lot. No matter how hard he tried to find clues or anything about these disappearances, there was nothing. Not even the brightest(that doesn't include Sherlock Holmes) detectives in the police force could find any evidence.
Still, all of this screamed of a conspiracy to Karasuma, something which he had ample experience in handling from his previous job. Someone was DEFINITELY behind this and he intended to find out.
Currently, the Coach stood at the grey door of the house in front of him, the next home visit target. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before exhaling it and opening his eyes. He knocked on the door.
"Hello? Is anybody there? This is coach Karasuma from Hijirigasaka University. I want to speak with you about your daughter's absence." he declared, making sure to explain the reason why he was here instead of just barging into their house. Acting like a responsible adult, he waited for outside for a response, although part of him suspected he would be here for quite a while yet judging from past experiences.
While the coach was waiting got an instinctive feeling of dread that is going over his head. He walked to the window and took a curious peek at their house. The curtain was covering the window, making it hard for him to see however. That alone would have been enough for an investigation since this usually meant that someone didn't want something to be seen from the outside. Keeping cool and in the interest of further digging, Karasuma tried to look at the edges and got a peek inside, catching a glimpse of their furniture as a result… but what REALLY caught his attention was a huge strain on the couch.
The coach furrowed his brows. "Is that…blood?" he whispered, his tone quickly becoming labored as his eyes began to enlarge at the sight.
THUD!
"WHOA!" Karasuma suddenly stepped backward when a hand suddenly pressed itself against the window from below. His eyes widened further at the sudden action, but the dread he was feeling was replaced with worry when the hand is covered with blood and it was sliding down the window.
Karasuma's instincts immediately took over, quickly getting into position for a ram. "Hold on! I'm coming!" he bellowed, urgency burning in his chest as he adjusted his arms before breaking into a furious sprint towards the door.
BANG!
He broke the door and barged into the house, stopping when he found himself inside what he had assumed was the living room. From there, he saw the source of the hand slanted against the wall beneath the window, lying on his side. That source turned out to be a man that pressed his hand on the window, and when Karasuma glanced further ahead he also saw a woman who had heavy injuries to her person leaning with her back pressed to the wall.
Immediately performing some visual checks on their bodies, Karasuma got relieved slightly when he discovered that they were still alive, but those emotions vanished when he realized the perilousness of their situation. It must have been that they were too weak to even call for help… or something prevented them from calling someone, hence why nobody had noticed this just yet.
Karasuma looked around for a while before heading to the bathroom, opening the compartments before finding an emergency kit.
Taking the kit and running towards the couple, he started the emergency treatment before pulling out his phone and dialing the emergency number.
It didn't take long for the call to connect, although to Karasuma it may as well have been an eternity under the intensity this situation had. "Hello 911 what is your emergency?" a female voice spoke through the phone.
"Yes there is a couple that are in need of medical attention fast! Their starting to lose blood!" Karasuma informed, his hands working overtime on the medical procedures which made him have to pin the phone to his shoulder with his head, pressing his ear against the speaker.
"Understood, an ambulance is on its way. Have you treated their wounds?"
"I've just started to, but please hurry before its-"
"They took her..." the man weakly muttered. Karasuma turned his attention to the man he managed to treat. "They took my daughter..."
He leaned closer to the man, getting a better hearing. He would've want him to stop talking but the man has confirmed his worries. Someone kidnapped his student. "Who, who took your daughter…?"
The man had trouble speaking for a while before he regained his breath and slowly spoke. "I…..couldn't…..see but…it….was….giant…..men…Clad in….darkness."
Giant men? That sounded a lot like thugs to him but from the wounds and the lack of destruction of the house, Karasume couldn't see the perpetrator as any ordinary punk. But before he could get further details, the teacher's ears twitched when he heard sirens that were gradually increasing in volume meaning that the police were getting closer. Glancing outside the window (which he had brushed aside previously), Karasuma noticed a bunch of medics and ambulances already assembled. He could also see people getting out of the ambulance and rushing towards the opened house door.
Karasuma exited out of the house to allow the medics to begin giving medical treatment to the couple to at least stablize them for travel. His phone rang for a second while he wiped his hands clean of the blood that had gotten onto them from performing the emergency treatments, before he used his right one to pull his phone out. Glancing down at the screen, he saw that the caller's ID was the director of the university. He answered the call.
"This is not a good time sir." he coldly said to the director while observing the scene.
"It's a bad time I will agree to that, Karasuma. But you are already at a student's house correct?"
"Not now director, I'm not in the mood so better make this quick or-"
"She isn't the only one, Karasuma."
"?!"
The directors word hit coach HARD when he said that the daughter of the couple he had barely managed to save wasn't the only one. Then that would mean that….. "Oh no." he said in a horrified tone, dreading the feeling already.
"Since last week I've been sending out teachers to chase up the absent students. They told me that not only have those kids vanished, but they also said their parents were not kidnapped but they were either unconscious, fatally wounded…or dead."
Karasuma face got covered in shadow, hiding his emotions behind it when he heard this news. However, the veins around his hands could be clearly seen while they clenched into fists as hard as it can, cracking some bones. Then its true, most of the university students have been kidnapped, those kidnappers must've noticed his trails of investigation so they hid all the evidence of their presence on every absent students home.
"Karasuma, I know what you're going to do... And I'm not going to stop you. Bring the students back safely, don't let anything happen to them. It's time for your retirement to be brought a halt."
Those words triggered Karasuma. He lifted his head and his eyes glinted, a ferocity in them previously unseen by anyone in the entire university. He hung up the call and pocketed his phone before leaving the scene, his mind set and objectives already being planned for an operation he had almost forgotten the MO for.
It seemed that his time to return to his life as a member of the UKSF had come.
Just before the kidnapping
"AAAAAAHHHHH YOU GODDAMIT PSYCHOPATH! ARE YOU LITERALLY TRYING TO KILL ME?!" Issei screamed at Theseus, his face practically red right now with how flushed his cheeks were amid all the sweat rolling down his forehead.
The reason why would be due to doing more training under Theseus. Issei literally had to balance the heavyweights he was holding in his hands, around his shoulders and a couple of pots on his head. He was standing without a shirt, showing his growing muscles while below him was a rock platform being held by a point in the middle whereas just below them was literal lava.
Issei literally had to balance himself or else he'd plummet to his death.
They were currently located in a large room, one reminiscent of Theseus's own shark room back in Hellsing. The room had a wall composed entirely of glass which showed a bunch of sharks and piranhas swimming about a small lake's worth of water, with only a single lightbulb hanging atop the ceiling for a light source. The room looked fairly spacious, with a bed located near the far right corner whilst other pieces of furniture could be seen to give this room a rather homely feel to it.
"I don't even know why you're complaining, ya little wimp." Theseus scoffed while rolling his eyes at the brunette, drinking a smoothie. The male sat not too far away on a chair made from rock observing Issei as he seemed to fight a battle between life and death. "Besides, its not big of a deal. It would help you with your balance wherever you are. Plus it would help your confidence."
"BOOST MY CONFIDENCE?! BULLSHIT YOUR PULLING MY LEG, THAT'S PURE SHIT YOU'RE SPEWING! HOW THE FUCK IS THIS SUPPOSE TO HELP MY CONFIDENCE, I'M BURNING TO DEATH RIGHT NOW!" Issei yelled, several tick marks forming on his forehead while he gritted his teeth from the exertion.
"And there it is, your getting closer."
"HOW IS THIS GETTING CLOSE-WAAHH!" Issei shouted but then wailed when a lava bubble exploded, one almost close to Issei's person. He almost his balance had he not adjusted himself in time.
Asia was at the sideline with Theseus, her eyes constantly shining with worry over the poor boy suffering right now. Yet no matter how much her instincts screamed at her to go over and erase Issei's suffering, she couldn't do that right now due to it apparently being part of his training to eventually unlock his Sacred Gear. She'd actually been rather shocked and a little horrified when she'd first heard that he was going through these trials to gain the power god had granted him, but at least she could cheer in a show of support to boost Issei's morale. "Y-you can do it Issei! I believe in you!" she called out, placing her hands around her mouth like s he were talking through a scope across a vast amount of distance.
That really boosted Issei's confidence, tears flowing like waterfall anime-fashion while the brunette fondly gazed at the brunette male. "Ah, your words has soothe my pain Asia…" he spoke with a whimper.
Something which did NOT sit well with his current 'trainer' one bit. "Oh shut it will you?"
FLICK!
"WAAAAHHHHH! NOW I KNOW YOUR TRYING TO KILL ME!" Issei screamed as he tried to adjust himself after Theseus had flicked a stone at Issei's platform.
"Hmmmmmmm." Asia looked at Theseus with a cute pout at him.
Theseus saw Asia was pouting at him, one which he internally admitted looked rather adorable with him thinking of a squirrel with a mouth full of nuts when he gazed at her. Shaking his head, the male hummed in pleasure while sipping his smoothie. "Oh don't worry about him Asia, he'll survive…mostly." he said the last part quietly so she didn't hear him (as well as so that Issei wouldn't whine at him again like a little bitch) before he continued. "And besides, it would really help him a lot. He needs this, sister, and he'll be thanking me later."
Hearing his words didn't ease Asia's worries any, her fists clenched tightly in cute frustration. "Ohhh, I know but…." she began, shifting her gaze to nervously look towards Issei who was swinging left and right as he tried to adjust himself from falling to the lava. "Can you at least….go easy on him?" she pleaded with Theseus while putting her hands together in a prayer motion.
Theseus looked at Asia for a while. He thought for a bit, ignoring Issei's misery before putting his head down and making his choice. "Ugh fine." he waved his hand upwards, making earth pillars hit under Issei's platform making it straighten out. Theseus got up from his rock chair, drank the last of his smoothie before throwing it to the lava. "Alright, that's for now today, as much as I wanna tortu-I mean train your body, perhaps you've earned some time off." He cut off the torture part because it really does sound like he wanted him to suffer, satisfying his sadistic fantasies that he got from the time when he was with his teacher.
The reaction came almost immediately, as Issei got the weight's off of him faster than one could blink before getting off the platform and falling to his knees, wailing up towards the heavens with great joy shining in his teary eyes. "THANK YOU JESUS FOR SAVING MY LIFE! I'M STILL ALIVE!" He proclaimed as loud as his lungs could possibly allow, not caring at all that he had an audience.
Before long, Issei got pulled down from his high when he felt his body gradually getting better. A soft exhale left his lips at the relief he felt inside upon experiencing this feeling, it felt even better considering he knew who was giving him this feeling. Issei shifted his gaze to Asia who now kneeled beside him with her sacred gear activated, allowing her to tend to him. "There we go, all better!" She said after she restored his entire body.
Issei looked at her like she's an Angel before hugging her waist. "SNIFF, oh Asia, what would I ever do without you? I don't deserve your kindness." he whined, teardrops in the corner of his eyes.
Asia blushed in embarrassment from his praise and hugging her. "Uhhhhh I uhhhhh." She struggled to say something but couldn't find any words for it.
"Oi!"
"EEEK!" Issei squeaked in fear when he heard Theseus and hid behind Asia for protection.
The said male scoffed derisively at this, no small amount of disdain for the sheer pathetic mess in front of him. "Quit acting like an immature kid, there's more where that will come from." Theseus declared, darkness enveloping his face with his green eyes glinting menacingly.
Asia again pouted at him. "Hmmmmm don't be so mean to him!" She protested, doing her best to hold Issei against her chest so she could somehow 'shield' him away from the blonde male.
Theseus looked at her once again with the same look at his face. He can tell she was shaking from his glare due to the minute trembling he noticed at her sides, yet she still tried to be brave enough to stand against him. Shaking his head and getting rid of the look before returning to his stoic expression, he put his hand on Asia's head before ruffling his fellow blonde's bangs. "You're too soft for this world, you know that girlie?" he remarked with an arched brow, a slight tugging at the corner of his lips although Theseus resisted it.
Once more Asia blushed cutely, this time at Theseus praise and him rubbing his hand on her head.
Sadly for her, the pseudo headpat didn't last very long before Theseus retreated his hand from her head. He then pocketed his hands inside his Trench coat, twirling a full 180 degrees on one foot before walking away from the duo. He already had enough fun for the day, so he decided to try and get some of his own training in.
Issei, seeing Theseus retreating figure, suddenly remembered where he was and quickly stood up in embarrassment and scratched the back of his head at his immature actions. He widened his eyes in thought. "Hey Asia! Do you want to spend some time with me? I can show you around Kuoh city." Issei suggested to Asia since she was nice and a good person he figured why not spend a day with her while exploring Kuoh. Plus, he remembered that she was a foreigner who couldn't speak Japanese very well nor could she understand it, so him giving her a tour could also count as a japanese lesson for her.
But mainly he just wanted to spend a day with her… without being stabbed of course.
Instantly Asia brightened when Issei suggested that. "Really?!" She turned to face to Theseus retreating figure. He sense someone was looking at his back, turning 180 degree he saw Asia was looking at him. "Can I go with him Mr. Theseus?" She asked her fellow blonde.
Arching his brow he asked Asia. "Why are you asking me Asia? You don't need my permission, besides your an adult." He said to her, and he wasn't wrong either. The sister had told them that she had been travelling since she was 15, which had been a few years ago meaning she was about 17 at the moment, meaning that in his eyes alongside the other Hellsing members Asia may as well be an adult woman. She was practically the same age as Issei, although between the two Theseus would say she had more 'experience' with the world than he did.
"I know, it's just uhhhhhhhh." She began, before she became rather tongue-tied till she got reduced to making simple sounds. She still kept on struggling though as she tried to come up with words, putting her both of her hands on her head in an attempt to form some reasoning for her response.
Shaking his head again, Theseus couldn't help but remark at how pure this girl was in his mind, but could he really blame her innocence? She's been with the Hellsing group for about a week and already she had caught the hearts of everyone in Hellsing, even MARIA had to refrain from saying lewd things to Asia.
Michel adored her as his favorite pupil in the medical field, having gotten into teaching her about that field which resulted in the blonde nun becoming his pseudo assistant.
Kuroh helped her with cooking, spending a lot of time with her and helping her open up to the rest of the group by mentioning some funny aspects about them to help her view the group in a more positive light. Those people may have pranked the living hell out of Kuroh in retaliation, but his actions had definitely endeared the blonde nun to the group.
Heck, Vali refrained from his bad boy attitude in front of her and instead acted more like a responsible older brother. Though he had to be restrained by the rest of the boys whenever Kuroka teased him for acting like a 'daddy' regarding Asia… not in the wholesome way either, although they'd successfully kept Asia's purity intact whenever stuff like that happened.
Speaking of the Nekoshou, Kuroka saw her like she a little sister, Mio as well with the two girls occasionally doting on her much to Asia's glee.
And finally Meredith helped her teach a bit of japanese language, doing a much better job than Issei ever could to be frank. Considering her position and ability as a mentor, Meredith could definitely provide better results on this field than Issei could. Plus it helped her get herself back into the swing of things after her little… episode post that failure of a diplomatic meeting.
Like a big old family they all were.
And now Theseus must think in her mind, she must think of him like an older sibling since they almost looked like each other (He knew for a fact that when he was younger his father never slept with anyone and had been faithful to his mother).
In the end, it was too hard to choose and he decided to go with the flow. "(SIGH) alright fine, you can go." he said it like a tired older brother(dammit its not getting to him).
Asia beamed up with the acceptance of Theseus's approval, a gleeful squeal escaping her lips.
"But."
"WOAH!"
Issei became surprised when Theseus literally appeared in front of him with the same menacing look on his face. "If I find out that you have done something to Asia, or take her to an inappropriate place I swear to god on his throne that I will find you no matter where you hide and when I do, I'll tear your limbs apart slowly one by one. I'll cut off your eyes, your nose, your fingers everywhere, and when I cut your balls off I'll nail it to my bedroom AND FEED YOUR ENTIRE CORPSE AND YOUR PIECES TO MY SHARKS!" He threw a dead dear to his water tanks and instantly sharks began to devour the dear in seconds.
Issei turned white and pale like a literal ghost when he saw how the sharks devoured the dear, tearing it apart while also holding his balls in response.
"Do I make myself clear?"
"Eeek yes." Issei said in a low pitch voice like he inhaled helium.
"Good, now if you'll excuse me." he retreated his menacing form and smiled like it never happened before like a responsible older brother. It seems he's a natural in sibling love. Damn maybe that sibling thing wasn't such a bad idea after all, maybe he could even use it to 'motivate' Issei during his training.
Speaking of the said pervert, Issei just stood there like a trance before his arm was grabbed by Asia who looked rather startled by Theseus' scary form. "Come on Issei lets go!" she pulled him before he was dragged by the blond nun out of Theseus room as the sharks were literally looking at Issei with a predatory look. If he wasn't in a trance he would've notice they had creepy smiles on their face.
Later
The first thing Issei had to do once he was finally freed from his training was put his shirt on. He didn't want to walk around shirtless, showing off his developing muscles(despite wanting to attract the other girls with his growing beauty, pretty sure from that lava heat his skin was becoming a bit tanned) to the world. Then there was the fact that he needed to show some restraint around Asia, or else… he didn't want to imagine what those guys might do to him. Their training methods were already brutal enough, so Issei shuddered at what they might do for actual torment.
Part of him even swore he could feel a pair of steely eyes glaring at his back that didn't recede even when he tried looking for the source after they left the Hellsing HQ.
Ignoring those feelings at long last, Issei internally debated on what he and Asia should do. Their options were rather limited given his partner's lack of knowledge of Japanese culture and the language barrier, although Meredith had helped massively in that regard. However, there should still be some things that they could do together, as someone who was quite experienced with city life in Kuoh Issei felt almost contractually obliged to show off his hometown to the blonde foreigner.
Therefore, he decided to take Asia to the first place he could think of, one which was perfect for her to enjoy:
An arcade.
It wasn't long before Issei had found one and brought an intrigued/ excited Asia inside. The Arcade had a whole load of booths, and as someone who had been to many such places like these before, Iseei grinned as he promptly began enjoying a shred of normalcy for once… only he had a cute girl with him instead of Matsuda and Motohama.
The whole Arcade looked rather packed which was commendable considering how it simply resembled a tall 3 story building chock full of venues. These consisted of machines attached to the arcade like motorcycles, fake guns for shooter games, giant screens and coin slots to activate small arcade games, etc. This was just the first floor though, at the back were a set of stairs spiraling upwards that led to two more floors filled with different arcade games just like this one.
Needless to say, Asia and Issei travelled inside with the latter holding the former's hand so they didn't get separated… though that soon became a non-issue in a few moments when they found their first booth.
"That's it Asia keep going, your doing it!" Issei encouraged her as he watched her gaining a highscore. The game they had chosen was a shooting game, and while he had already finished the level on his end Asia was still halfway through. The blonde girl had her cheeks puffed out in a pout as she struggled to get through the game even with his support.
"Ehhhh I don't know what to do Issei! What should I do?" Asia exclaimed, a flustered look on her face whilst she glanced between Issei and the screen in front of her. All the non-stop action on the latter combined with the noise surrounding her made it hard to focus.
Seeing that his companion was slowly losing control over her composure, Issei's gaming experience compelled him to help set her straight or else the progress she'd made would have been in vain. "Don't worry Asia, just keep what you were doing, aim and fire at the soldiers there. And then once your done aim at the heart piece, that way you'll gain enough health to continue." Issei encouraged her,as well as told her what to do right after she's finished shooting at the soldiers. HHe figured giving her such advice would help calm her down.
Turned out to be the right call because moments lateer Asia's breathing slowed down to normal again, a determined look slowly forming on her face as she stuttered out a reply. "O-ok Issei, I'll try my best!" With that proclamation, she continued on shooting the soldiers on the screen, actually enjoying herself. She did what Issei said to her and focused on the game like a hardcore gamer girl.
As for the brunette male Issei smiled at her and how she was slowly getting into the game, before he returned to encouraging her.
Unbeknownst to the duo, just a few feet away from them was a familiar man who wearing sun glasses and wearing a french-style hat. Judging by the slight hilt escaping the coat and the facial structure, one could easily tell that it was Kuroh who was currently had his hand in a arm wrestling match against a robotic arm wrestler and was paying attention to the duo in front of him.
If one wanted to know what the fuck he had been doing, Kuroh would say that he was currently observing the two of them to make sure that Asia wasn't corrupted by Issei's perverted nature, wanting to help her keep her purity.
"CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE A WINNER." the arcade game announced to Asia, congratulating her.
"I did it Issei!" she cheered at Issei, hugging him in a cheerful state. Issei also had a smile on his face as well, matching her excitement. It was her first time in an arcade and winning a game, all thanks to Issei who helped and encouraged her.
Off to the side, Kuroh had a little smirk on his face seeing the happiness on the nun's face. It looked to him like she's enjoying her experience with the brunette. It looked like a date to him, but it reminded him more of whenever he would spend time with his bros on gaming activities like playing basketball, soccer or hanging out, socializing with each other.
It was then a guy walked to Kuroh while having a little irritated emotion aimed at Kuroh. "Hey mate? Are you going to be finished with that or are you just hogging it to yoursel-"
BAM!
Annoyed for interrupting his thoughts, Kuroh slammed the robot's hand onto the table with 'perhaps' a bit too much force. Crushing the robotic hand and damaging the machine. Kuroh blinked a couple of times before he notice the state of the arcade booth: cybernetics out in the open, wires and programming chips exposed to the atmosphere, it basically looked like crap.
"Oops, my bad." he apologized to the teen in front of him who froze, looking stunned at Kuroh's sudden display of strength. Looking back to the duo, the butler boy noticed that Asia and Issei were heading out of the arcade after having tried several booths. He adjusts his suit before leaving as well, making sure they are not out of his sight. "If you'll excuse me." he told the stunned man, leaving him alone he was still in a frozen state before falling backward and fainted.
Moments later
Issei and Asia casually strolled through the Kuoh's streets, having taken the sidewalk which was slightly less densely populated with pedestrians. Fast whooshing sounds occasionally filled their ears from the cars that passed them
"Wow! Look at those buildings!" Asia excitedly exclaimed to Issei, pointing at the scenario that she had observed. They were on a two-way street, with houses side by side, looking slightly less modern in favor of being a bit more classic japanese-style. It was actually rather similar to back in London where there were a lot of classic British-style houses because most people don't like to change their house structure, preferring most of the old traditions. There was just a specific charm and class to those types of houses that drew people in, especially nationals who wanted to showcase their devotion to their country.
Issei couldn't help but chuckle at the enthusiasm being shown by the blonde nun here. "Ahahahaha I know about that Asia, I've been here a few times. But let me tell you something unique, see ahead of the street?" he puts his hand on Asia's shoulder and pointed at the far street ahead. "My grandfather told me that when the sun sets, the sun shines upon you like more closely, almost feeling like an angel is in front of you." he told her, grinning. Considering her background, Issei figured that she might like that little tidbit of info about this area.
Like his previous guesses, his words had the intended effect on her as Asia beamed happily at the thought of what he said being the case. "Woah really?!" Asia proclaimed, stars practically dancing around her green eyes as she gazed happily and longingly into the brunette male's hazel ones. "Can you really feel an angel's grace?"
"Maybe, I don't know if its real or not but never hard to believe in." Issei responded with a shrug of his shoulder. He couldn't tell her if it's real or false because that's what his grandfather said to him and other people, attracting the other tourist's attention.
To be honest, now that he knew that all mythological creatures were real he was still not sure IF an actual angel has come to grace them during sunset.
Shaking his head, smiling before he spoke. "Come on Asia, there is more places for you to see. Lets go." he instructed her, nodding her head in acknowledgment followed Issei to the next place she wants to go see.
Unaware again, Kuroh was sitting on the bench, fake reading the newspaper. Listening to Issei's little story about the sunset and the angel gracing, he narrowed his eyes in suspicion. An angel here in Kuoh? Right under their noses? This was something that cannot be allowed since despite it being a story, there were some cases where stories were based on true facts, such as ones related to supernatural entities.
Still, if there was a possibility then he had to take some precautionary measures. "Angels grace huh? Looks like there's more work to be done..." he muttered for a while before getting up from the bench and continuing following Issei and Asia, not before putting in his mind to come back here sometime to even check if there is an angel there or it's just a made-up story.
Somewhere
Finally, the urge to eat put a temporary pause to the duo's little outing, to which Issei suggested they go eat at at a nearby restaurant. Needless to say, Asia grew quite excited at the thought of trying some food from a foreign country, since many of Hellsing's dishes were european ones made in classic british style. Though Asia actually enjoyed those dishes too, she also wanted to eat some japanese ones. Fortunately, this restaurant had been part of a mall but was located outside of it, so they didn't have to worry about too much noise ruining their time together.
The restaurant itself seemed to be quite packed, a lot of people sitting across different tables eating and laughing with one another. A small cue could be seen at the front of the restaurant, showing that business was doing quite decently. A feet feet away from the restaurant's entrance were two sofa-like seats attached to the wall that looked comfier than those wooden chairs. A menu was displayed at the table with eating utensil like ketchup, mayonnaise, spoon and forks. It was a completely free spot too by the time Issei and Asia had arrived.
Perfect.
With their destination set, the duo took the seat by the wall and ordered a meal for the both of them. A burger meal sandwich for the both of them along with some drinks, specifically coca-cola.
Asia took a huge bite of the sandwich, chewing it before swallowing the meal. "This is so delicious!" Asia excitedly exclaimed in delight, finding the tastes and flavors on her tongue to be quite exotic for her tastebuds. She never knew this type of food existed before, but she felt oh so glad that she did now.
Issei smiled at her antics, the way she looked right now resembled a little kid in a candy store which he found kind of adorable. "I bet it is Asia, you've never tasted one before haven't you?" He remarked.
His guess got confirmed to be right in the next few moments. "I haven't Issei, this is my first time." she said in response. "In Italy I was never introduced to such food like this before, they were strict in their food diet so I never had the pleasure to experience such things. I'm enjoying it every bit of it. I'm glad." she puts her head down, hiding her eyes on the veil and her blond bangs. "So very glad that I've…..met you and….the others." she quietly muttered, eventually going quiet at the end.
Issei stiffened up in nervousness at the sudden change in attitude from the blonde nun, one which got reflected into the atmosphere around them. The brunette thought he did something wrong making the nun in front of her become sad. What did he do wrong? He was sure he didn't do anything hurtful or better yet making her cry! Ah dammit why do feelings have to be so freaking complicated?!
Hell, he's even feeling the chills all over his back, making him shudder in fear like he was about to experience something far more worse than death. He had to do something, anything otherwise he feared for his life!
However, just a single thought made his nervousness go away, he recalled about Asia telling about how in Italy they were strict about food diet. Sometime ago, he had watched a porn video with his friends Matsuda and Motohama(Darklord:Ugh dammit, now here comes something that is actually useful from porn)
There was a girl, a school president that was too strict from everything she was doing, she was raised in a strict family, being so strict of everything she does. She grew up to be similar like her family, how she looks like, how students should wear, how their behavior is and running the students council she barely had any friends at all. It made her cold and unapproachable, but then there was a boy that managed to get her out of her cold charade. He showed her some new stuff, what she never experience and a whole world she had never been too.
That was the basic summary off what he has seen from that video (Hunter: That sounded… way too generic.). So it must be similar to Asia as she must've been restrictive from the church, something when she was at Italy and he intends to find out. But he can't hurt her feelings more bad than it might be, his internal debate as he struggle for a bit before asking her something that might be worth the risk.
"Asia?" Issei called out to her, making her lift her head and paying attention to Issei. "C-can I a-ask you o-of your time in the Vactian?" Issei asked her about her time when she was in Italy. Maybe trying to see how was it being a nun with a sacred gear like she possess. "You don't have to say anything if you wa-"
"N-no, its fine Issei." Asia assured him that it was not big of a deal, nothing harmful to her or in any cases. Asia look down for a bit before she took a deep breath and prepared her story.
"I…never knew about my parents. I was abandoned at a church orphanage, I don't know much about my mother, neither do I know about my father but every time I would ask the caretaker about them I'd only get these complex looks. I stopped asking about them sometime ago."
Issei furrowed his brows in confusion and he was not stupid. Those people were clearly hiding something about her past, her father most certain but her mother…Issei doesn't want to think clearly about her but maybe he could ask one of the Hellsing members about her father, they must know almost everything and everyone.
Unaware of Issei's thoughts, Asia continued her story. "It was then on one day during our daily sermon training I saw an injured puppy on the step in front of the church, looking wounded. people did not paid attention to that poor little thing and I couldn't do anything as well, so I prayed to God. I prayed to him, asking if he could save the puppy. It was then a miracle happened, the little dog was healed and I discovered something." Asia once again paused her story to look down at the rings on her index fingers, a complex smile on her lips. Whether she found this Sacred Gear to be a blessing or a curse Issei wasn't sure, but he had a feeling he'd find out shortly "I awakened my Gods's gift. A member of the church witnessed my miracle, I was symbolized as the Holy maiden. I could heal mostly anything and anyone who has some injury that were hurt too deeply. I loved my time there, I loved how I'm saving people from death."
Asia closed her eyes in reminence, recalling the faces of those she had saved from their pain and how grateful they were. The way that they praised her along with some having their faith in God restored by her had filled her with an unsurmountable joy at the time. Her peers loved her for it as well, and everything had been a blissful experience. Even so, she still kept her duties first and foremost, becoming the holy maiden and a symbol of her church's prosperity.
However like the saying went: nothing lasted forever, and this story turning dark was one such inevitability. Even after all this time, Asia tried to hold back the sharp sting to her heart when she recalled THIS part of her story. The part where everything had gone wrong on so many levels. "But despite all that, I barely made any true friends there, and when I think about it it was probably due to my reputation and how 'protective' the church was with me. A few people did not see me as a saint but more of a stranger despite me triying to heal their wounds."
'Damn. She had a hard life at the church...' Issei mentally mused to himself while looking at pity over the poor girl. She was a pure-hearted person and people were pusing her away. Its like those assholes didn't even want her help.
It was at this point where Asia's mood fell into a deeper level of crestfallen than even before, if this were an anime she would have had depressing music playing while she told the part of the story she still had nightmares of, even after so many years. "It was then I saw a Devil, injured, sprawled across the front doorstep of the church. Despite all the teachings saying that the devils were vile and evil creatures… I-I couldn't bear to see him suffer. The lords teachings say that all beings deserved to be loved and to care for each other. So I… I healed his wounds, restoring the Devil to full strength. The devil became grateful for my actions before leaving the church. It was then it happened."
'Oh boy, this is not going to be good.' Issei worriedly muttered mentally, already feeling a pit of dread forming in his gut.
That dread soon got vindicated by Asia's story moments later. "My sacred gear was supposed to heal only Humans and Angels, but I also discovered I could heal devils as there was the fact that this same Devil killed an Exorcist sent to hunt him in the first place, spilling blood closer to our holy site than ever before. It caused the people of the church to label me as a witch, and …a heretic." Asia eyes became watery from the memory when people pointed their fingers at her, saying hurtful stuff. "(SNIFF) They did not wanted a heretic person like me….to stay at the church so they….banished me from the Vactian several years ago."
"...What the hell?" Issei had veins on his forehead in restraint anger he's feeling now. "What the fuck?!" he grited his teeth as he doesn't want to explode in front of a public place, not wanting to embarrass himself but mostly Asia as well. But those people….they had the audacity to call her a witch just because she healed a devil?! What kind of sick fanatics were they? And she said that this had happened several YEARS ago? Just how had she managed to survive, then!?
By this point, Asia could no longer maintain her composure anymore, the damn had been blown open by this story. As a result, Asia was leaking tears from her eyes that she tried to wipe away with her palms, though more started to take their places soon afterwards. "I-I did not want to abandon my religion with God despite them banning me from the church. I prayed to the lord for guidence almost every day, I've been to several churches, I stayed there before they had to kick me out because of the Vactian orders. Some tried to help…..but couldn't. It was then some people offered me a place at a church in a town called Kuoh, where I could spread the word of God… and here I am."
After a seemingly eternal moment in which Issei stewed in both anger from the story and fear from the increasing killing intent, the blonde nun's mood began to brighten once more as she offered a relaxing smile despite her eyes being rather red from crying the way she had. "With you and the others…I really enjoy these moments." Asia fondly smiled at the memories of her being witht the Hellsing, the former nun really appreciate her time with them. "But, I still do not want to lose my faith. My life was mostly growing up, reading the bible, and spreading the word of God and his glory. I wonder….were people right to label me as a heretic…..a witch maybe-"
"Fuck those people Asia!" at once, the last strung of control had snapped within Issei's mind resulting in him interrupting her, not wanting to see her sad anymore. He got up and sat next to her while the blonde had gasped in stunned shock at the abrupt outburst. "Asia, you are a good person I can see that. Those people who said those stuff were fucking idiots, I mean come on you didn't even knew your sacred gear could even heal a devil but they were morons. Who gives a shit about them?!"
"B-but-"
"Asia, don't think about them. They never cared about who you really were, they only saw you as a figurehead, something for them to take advantage of and laud their image over. You've been living under their thumb for your whole life practically, almost losing your belief in God, but you never gave in to their corruption. When you saw that hurt Devil, you did exactly what your heart was telling you. If God wanted you gone then he would've taken away his gift from you, but he didn't. He must've realized that you are an important person, someone born to heal the weak." Issei lectured her without any shred of any perverse intent on his face nor inside hims. Almost as if it had been extinguished entirely. He wasn't trying to use her weakened state to take advantage of her like a goddamn scumbag, no he only intended to help her get out of her incoming depression.
"We'll never cast you away, you know that right? Theseus, Kuroh, Vali, Kuroka, Doc and me. We're your friends Asia, even if you're cast out from the church, we won't abandon you. Even if the rest of them learn about your past, I can GURANTEE you they won't give a shit about those assholes. You're not a saint, you are not perfect, you make a mistakes. We all make those because thats what we are." During his little rant, Issei placed his hand around Asia's shoulder before hugging her close to him. "If those people won't be your friend then I promise you I will be your friend Asia, I swear it."
Asia became silent for a few minutes. She did not respond back to Issei for a while before she slowly hugged him back and pressed her face on his chest before releasing the damn once again… though not one of sorrow this time, but happiness and joy. Joy at Issei's declaration of his promise. She clinged to him tightly, intending on never letting him go.
Behind the restaurant's entrance stood Kuroh, leaning against the wall beside the entrance while observing the duo as they hugged it out with his arms crossed in front of his chest. He did not showed any emotion, his eyes hidden behind his sunglasses but the way his hands gripped his arms like vices, almost tearing at the clothing covering his biceps indicated what he really felt about Asia's story.
In essence, he could only feel pity towards the small girl for what she had gone through, as well as other emotions he'd rather not pay attention to because they would make him go onto a killing rampage that would even make Theseus nod his head in approval. Essentially, what she had gone through had politics written all over it, and politics were cruel to practically everyone when given the chance to.
It's like when important figures gained the status of a hero of a country or a nation, whenever they gained enough reputation they would give the title by their leaders. But in actual reality, it was to boost the leaders' own reputation and for people to look up to that hero as their icon, boosting their morality. On the other hand whenever they did something even SLIGHTLY wrong like saying something 'problomatic' to the narrative or question something they shoudn't they immediately get tossed to the side like yesterday's garbage, or sometimes even get forcibly deported.
Asia was just someone, a faithful follower to God himself. She did not deserved to endure such hardship while keeping her faith to the Lord himself. With that thought and his decision he leaves the duo alone. Seeing that Issei was comforting her and his outburst was something he could agree to, the boy is improving alright. He can see it. Maybe he could have Meredith call in a favor by restoring the abandoned church where she could do what she always love to do, pray to God and spread his glory.
He straighten up and began to leave the duo alone. 'Better take care for her Issei because she deserve something better. Good luck and may God be with you.' he mentally said before he left.
Back to the present - Karasuma
Karasuma strolled through the Kuoh city's streets, mingling with the town's folk and looking no different from any of them. However, upon closer inspection one could make out several distinctions between him and the citizens he passed, for example, he strode with a strong sense of purpose and urgency with long strides compared to the leisurely ones those around him did. He also had a fierce intensity behind his gaze which succeeded in making people subconsciously give him a wide berth, not wanting that gaze to be aimed at them out of sheer instinct. There was a reason why people felt uncomfortable whenever someone was giving them an intense glare for example.
As for where he was going, Karasuma found himself heading towards somewhere the director had told him of… or rather several places, places that would be useful once he got all his intel from his 'investigation' together.
And he DEFINITELY had all the intel he needed for the upcoming task he would be doing.
Passing through some pedestrians, he looked forward and eventually found himself standing before his first stop: a specific tailor place that resembled a typical chinese tailor shop. This was the first place that the university director had recommended him, so he expected their services to be passable for his needs.
With that in mind, Karasuma strolled forward and pushed the door open, entering the shop to see what lay within. From there he witnessed multiple chinese people at various desks throughout the shop's interior with several pieces of equipment including a sewing machine. They looked to be adjusting suits, fixing clothes, making adjustments to them and drying them to make the clothes warmer and more comfy. It looked to be a rather typical street shop, and the people seemed focused on their jobs rather than being distracted by anyone.
A bit run down from what he could tell.
Nevertheless Karasuma remained unbothered by the atmosphere surrounding these people, he had a job to do and he wanted the stuff necessary to do it. To that end, he shifted his focus to the side where a female worker could be seen behind a counter, working on a piece of clothing silently like some kind of drone.
Knowing her to be the one he needed to interact with, Karasuma walked up to the counter before he rummaged through his right trouser pocket, doing so for several seconds before taking out a gold coin. The gold coin is from rather something he got from his work, earning a lot of them during his time at the UKSF, specifically a reward from the queen herself.
Once he had plucked his target of interest from his pocket, Karasuma placed the gold coin onto the counter then slid it across to the chinese woman, catching her attention. The widening of her eyes meant that she had realize who was before her, before they went about returning to normal to which the chinese woman shifted her gaze from her work to the man in front of her. She recognized the make of that coin, not to mention that in THIS business if one had such a coin on their person that meant that they required a special kind of deal.
With that thought, she got up from her desk after handing the coin back to Karasuma and making to walk by all the tables to the opposite end of the room where a door could be seen, after briefly gesturing for him to follow her. Wordlessly Karasuma complied with her silent gesture, knowing she wanted to take him to where he needed to go.
The duo strolled across the room without any small talk of the like whilst the other workers made no sign that they even noticed the new arrival. However, Karasuma could still feel gazes on his back, which told him otherwise. The fact that they didn't do anything meant that thet likely knew not to mess with him, which suited him just fine.
Soon enough, the duo reached the door at the back of the shop, the woman opening it before allowing Karasume to head inside. This allowed him to see what lay behind it: a room of clothes in plastic covering either indicating them being finished or in the process of shipping.
Neither of them focused on these clothes and simply walked by them, keeping their eye on the destination which lay at the back of the room. When they had passed all of them, Karasuma saw two guards standing on the opposite sides of a fancy-looking door. The door itself stuck out quite heavily compared to the worn-down walls surrounding it and the fancy-looking guards wearing polished suits and dark shades like they had watched too many secret agent movies. It only reinforced the idea that Karasuma was headed in the right direction if THIS was here.
As they approached the fancy door, the Chinese woman nodded her head to the two guards who responded in kind, apparently that being a secret exchange of permission or something since seconds later they opened the door, allowing them to enter the room.
Now the sight that Karasuma witnessed resembled more like something that would attract high ranking people like nobles. The wall structure looked starkly european in terms of architecture, with lavish red panting enriched by golden patterns draped across them… or what could be seen of them since there were a lot of furniture made from polished, maroon-colored wood. Shelves, book cases, stands, seats stuff like that could be seen throughout the corridor giving it an appearance and feel similar to places like the Buckingham Palace back in London. By the end of the corridor, a single maroon-colored door could be seen with an altar next to it, one which had a single woman with dark skin and tied up hear wearing an all-black assemble with a book opened in front of her.
'Likely some kind of attendance record…' Karasuma mentally assumed while he walked up to the woman, his chinese escort having left to return to her daily tasks now that she had escorted him here. Approaching the woman at the altar, he proceeded to ask her the following question for his needs. "Hello ma'am."
The black skinned woman shifted her gaze to Karasuma, looking him up and down to which afterward her eyes glinted with understanding. "I see that you are interested in more of the products we offer." She said like she already knew what the coach wanted.
In Karasuma's opinion, she probably did though he didn't care for that and instead stared at her. "I like to know what is your finest here? I'm looking for something that gives the best, something few would offer." Karasuma said in a riddle-like tone to the woman. It was something people used to charm, convince or speak about something. Something in which only certain people knew what they mean.
Apparently this woman was one of those exceptions, since she nodded in understanding of what Karasuma meant as well what he wanted. "We don't just give our finest wine and drinks to people, we let them taste what is their favorite." She told him, using her left arm to gesture to the door covered with curtains next to her.
Karasruma stared at it for a second before walking to where the dark-skinned woman pointed to.
He twisted the doorknob and entered what looked like a wine room, one fitted with an antique table and stakes of wine in front of him, with various shelves around the room's border in front of the walls which held many different types of drinks. While this looked like a typical wine tasting room, Karasuma having had previous experiences in these places, when he turned to the right the university coach spotted many types of guns being displayed on the other side of the room which quickly drew his attention despite no shift in his facial expression. He could see handguns, shotguns, machine guns and of course on the right side of the room was an M249 light machine gun.
Turned out he wasn't the only one observing the guns either, for standing before a glass display shelf filled with guns was a man, adjusting a handgun before sensing there was someone else in the room. He looked to be italian, wearing a red bowtie around his collar showing his white shirt underneath the all-black suit but has his shirt around the bottom of his hand. He was also wearing some type of round necklace and a medallion pinned on his suit blazers.
After sensing Karasuma's presence in the room, the italian man turned on his polished dress shoes to face him, a pleasant smile forming on his lips as he offered a greeting that matched it. "Good afternoon sir." he greeted, walking from the shelf to stand before the uni coach. He could see the look in the man's eyes, which the italian recognized as one worn by those willing to do the 'real' business. "May I ask what is it that you like? Something more to your design?" he spoke in a business tone, spreading his arms around the wall of guns.
Instead of rather looking through the guns, Karasuma pulled another gold coin out from his pocket and lightly tossed it to the gun dealer in front of him. "I like something tasty, more of my own flavor that is if you have." He declared to the man, his tone one of a challenge to him.
Briefly looking the coin over, the moment he saw it in full his eyes briefly widened with a flash of comprehension flashing through them. That passed quickly though, the gun dealer smiling as he pocketed the gold coin in acceptance of the challenge before walking to the handgun section. "Most people would want a powerful handgun that is capable of more firepower and more ammo capacity, but my recommendations are the german variety specimen. I can wholeheartedly endorse the new breed of austrians." he takes two handgun from the middle shelf and places it on the table. "GLOCK 34 and 26."
Karasuma picks up the GLOCK 34, inspecting the gun in all directions and design before pointing it at a random direction in a firing position before reloading it as the gun dealer explain. "Recontoured grips, flared magwell for easier reloads and I know you would appreciate the custom porting."
Karasuma hummed for a moment before nod his head. Accepting the two GLOCKs for his arsenal. "Whats next?" The gun dealer asked Karasuma on what else he would might need in his weaponry.
"I need something….Robust, precise."
"Robust….precise..." The gun dealer mused, repeating those words barely above a whisper as he contemplated what he had which fit that criteria. His eyes briefly sparkled, and then he turned around and gave him a machine gun. "AR15, 11.5 inches, compensated with an iron bonded bolt carrier, Trijicon AccuPoint. With 1 6 magnification." he explained, pointing to each part of the gun and listing the various modifications done to it.
Karasuma then repeated his previous actions with the GLOCK guns, aiming at several points across the room before reloading. His eyes twinkled with a bright fondness brought about by his satisfaction with the design and the additions to the machine gun. Karasuma put the AR15 gun down and faces the gun dealer. "Would you recommend something for the end that is something delicious, the after taste of every dinner? Big bold and finest cuisine." Karasuma once again asked, challenging the man with something that would finalize the deal.
The gun dealer titled his head with a smirk. "May I suggest the Benelli m4?" he resplied easily before squatting down, taking something out from the counter bottom draw before standing back up and plopping the object he'd been seeking onto the counter. This turned out to be a shotgun. Handing it to Karasuma again aims the shotgun and does a mock reload, the gun dealer explaining the compartments of the shotgun. "Custom bolt release and charging handle, textured grips should the handles get…wet."
Once again, Karasuma accepted the shotgun to his arsenal. The gun dealer then ask Karasuma about is there something else he would might need. "An Italian classic?"
"Dessert."
"(SIGH) dessert." The gun dealer sighed, almost in resignation before he again squatted down a bit, taking something out from the counter drawer. He then placed a box of knives in front of him on top of the counter, opened it and finally showed a variety of knives. "The finest cutlery, all freshly sterned."
Karasuma ran his gaze through the assortment of knives, his eye being caught by one. He then picked up that combat knife, inspecting it before shaking his head and going to the next one. He again shook his head and put it down before leaning on the counter table, close to the arsenal of knives. He tried to decide which one is best for his design but can't figure out which one though.
Just as he was about to give up on this one, his right eye shifted downwards when he noticed a hidden compartment underneath the box. Curiosity took a hold of him at that moment, to which he listened to it and lifted the box of knives, which stretched the box upwards to reveal a… what he figured was a 'variant' type combat knife. He grabbed the hold of the knife and looked over the design.
The knife looked to be just long enough to rival a hand in size, resembling a variant combat knife but with a blackened blade while the blade itself was rather triangular. In Karasuma's experience, triangular blades caused injuries that were difficult to clot or heal not to mention the short blade looked quite suitable for infiltration and night missions where the glint of a blade meant the difference between life and death. The grip was a full-on leather case with a rope being attached to the handle of the combat knife and the back of the leathered grip.
The gun dealer lifted both of his eyebrows at the man who had discovered the secret compartment, briefly looking impressed, before his eyes shone in interest when he saw Karasuma take out the Knife. "Ah, I see you laid your eyes on the night reaper." He stated, gazing rather fondly at the piece of work in the coach's hand.
Said coach arched a brow at the man and then gazed back at the knife in his hands, memorizing it's name which brought a wave of curiosity through him. Usually weapons were named after feats in battle, so this name must have something to do with something about the night or something like that. "Night reaper you say?" Karasuma repeated the name of the combat blade.
Another nod came from the gun dealer, who proceeded to elaborate. "Yes, in the extent of the name the night reaper is smaller than other typical designs of the combat blade, some deeming it useless. But there is much more to the blade than meets the eye. The Night Reaper's especially suitable for infiltration and night missions when light reflecting from a blade can mean the difference between life and death. Something barbaric other people would say but I don't think someone like you would be far less interested in honor." The gun dealer explained to the coach. He spins the combat knife around, made some stabbing motion and brought it close to his face, hiding his mouth and only his fierce eyes as it indicates finishing his performances.
Looked like he had found the knife that he'd be taking into the following battles. "I'll take it." Karasuma declared before standing up and putting the combat knife on the counter table.
"Very well sir. Thank you for your patronage." seeing that the customer had made his choice, the gun dealer nodded his head in acceptance before putting his hand forward for a handshake which Karasuma accepted firmly. "I shall send you your orders at any requested address you want. Just forward the address to our secretary and she'll have it sent by nightfall."
"I do hope that your products won't fail me."
"I can assure you you'll not be disappointed. And perhaps while your here, why not order a new suit? I can guarantee that they will offer the finest products they have." Thinking about it for a bit Karasuma eventually nodded his head since he could use a different outfit than what he used for his job. He didn't want his work clothes to get sullied during what he would be doing tonight, so having a disposable suit would be more efficient and if he was lucky perhaps he could have one made from bullet proof materials, although he wouldn't be holding his breath on that one.
The gun dealer himself watched as Karasuma promptly left the room with a complex expression slowly taking over his features. Judging from that man's gaze and the way he moved with such a purpose, he had a strong feeling that the customer would be very much joining toward the 'cursed world'.
He closed his eyes and sighed, already knowing that the man in front of him would not back down even from the dangers of it, but alas it's what all brave souls would say before succumbing to it. Another lost brave soul and a potential buyer but there was nothing he could do, all he can do was offer some warning to him. "And before you leave sir."
Karasuma turned around and face the gun dealer who has a serious expression that got his attention.
"Be warned, what you are about to experience is something rarely anyone has ever survived. Something far more worse than you can imagine, something that breaks even the strongest willed. If you continue walking to the path, there will be destruction, chaos, and ruins. You would not survive unless your lucky." The Gun dealer warned gravely with an expression that implied he had said those words many times before, to people who had gone and bought weapons from him.
Karasuma arched a brow at the man, unsure as to what the man in front of him was trying to say to him, but it didn't like he was being threatened per say. Instead it seemed more like he was trying to warn him about some bigger picture from the shadows. And it didn't sounded like he was lying either, Karasuma knew that for a fact since his body language didn't show signs of such things. Regardless if the gun dealer was telling the truth or not, he still will not back down from this self-imposed mission even if there is a bigger picture. Nothing will get between him and rescuing the students put under his care.
With these thoughts in mind, the university coach once more nodded his head to the gun dealer, not offering any words to him.
"Good luck dear customer and may the Gods be with you… because by all means, you'll need a miracle from them. By the Gods, you'll definitely need it."
