Chapter 19: The Half-Blood Prince

Harry woke up panting with a start, he tried to breathe deeply, he did not want to disturb Ginny, who was fast asleep next to him, hugging him.

He had a beautiful dream and was so sad at the same time. His mother would carry him and kiss him and he was so happy seeing those green eyes lit up by love. Perhaps it was a memory, a forgotten memory stored in its innermost recesses.

She had hugged and kissed him before standing in front of Voldemort, so had she been killed? But it was a very rare memory, why would Voldemort give his mother a chance to live? It must have been his imagination, though it had felt so real that he was not surprised that Ginny was so terrified of dreams.

He squeezed the young woman in his arms and inhaled the scent from her head, calming her down. She sighed and whispered something condescendingly, Harry could almost swear it was a name, Meredith, how weird, he didn't know anyone with that name.

"Don't see me, I can't rest." She said as she yawned, curled up against his chest.

"Excuse me, did I wake you up?" Harry said, lowering his voice.

"Yes," Ginny said as she turned around, turning her back on him, pulling his hands and placing them on her belly. "Did you have a nightmare?"

"Dreamed... I don't know if it happened." He said embarrassedly, he didn't want to worry her, which he did as she turned to him again, opening her eyes.

"Tell me, darling." She said calmly

"I dreamed of my mother; I think it was when Voldemort killed her..." He hesitated, but she urged him to continue. "It's something strange, I dreamed that he ordered her to step aside to kill me, but she refused and preferred to die than allow him to hurt me, it's not possible, right? Voldemort had no reason to let her live, is it just a dream?

After a long silence in the darkness, she answered.

"It's not a dream, it's a memory." She said softly, as she took his hand. Harry hiccuped with surprise.

"How?..." He left the question unfinished, too surprised.

"Snape, he loved your mother, and he asked for her life, that's why Voldemort was going to let her live, he gave her the choice, and it's because he gave her the choice that you could live." She said Harry was too surprised. Did Snape love his mother? Suddenly, the memory he had seen in his mind last year came back to his memory, of course, they knew each other, it was evident that they were friends, and given how everyone described his mother, he was not surprised that someone loved her.

He didn't ask anything else; he didn't want to know anything else, maybe that's why Ginny and Dumbledore trusted Snape, Harry more than anyone else knew what one was capable of doing for someone he loved, and Ginny knew it too. Ginny would never leave him, he had to trust that, even though a small part inside him, the part used to thinking everything ten times over, insisted that she didn't trust him.

Everything would be fine; they would be fine.

As long as they stayed together, they could do anything.

Ginny brushed her lips against the Felix felicis, pretending to take it, and then passing it to Luna, she was prepared for what would happen. It was hard to forget the nightmares she had since she was a child, the feeling of loneliness and abandonment by her mother would never leave her soul and heart, even though she knew that her mother always tried to protect her. Even though he loved her because she preferred to fight to the death for her grandchildren.

She knew what would happen and her destiny, light in the darkness and darkness in the light, she could not escape, and if she tried it would be even worse.

She swallowed her tears as she recalled Harry's desperate marriage proposal, and how she accepted his ring and proposal quickly, not wanting to hurt him unnecessarily, not wanting to tell him that it wasn't the time to be together, that tomorrow she would drop the Weasley last name but she wouldn't become Ginny Potter, she didn't even know what last name it would be, Mrs. Riddle? Lady Voldemort? The visions of the court praising her were never very clear.

Luna wanted them to stay together, but Hemione insisted that they should go and warn the other houses, and then run to Hufflepuff, Luna shrugged her shoulders and calmly headed to Ravenclaw. Ginny was left alone in the common room for several minutes, going over the plan they had made, her classmates had overheard the conversation and were deciding what to do when the explosion was heard, so loud that some first-year children shrank and let out a scream.

"First and second graders, follow me!" Ginny shouted as she held the hands of the little ones she found. She was the only student from the last few years who was in control, the others were yelling at each other and wondering what was wrong, all the younger students followed Ginny, and some older girls too, if Ginevra Weasley said anything everyone listened, and if she was going to hide the younger students, the others would follow her to be protected. She guided them to the stairs that led to the girls' bedrooms, released the little boy holding her right hand took her wand from the bracelet Harry had given her, cast an enchantment, and continued forward, allowing the boys to climb those stairs.

All their visions and possible futures had something in common, the Gryffindor girls' dormitory would come out unscathed, and Tom would always give the order not to damage that place and run the risk of something happening to her. She led them to her room and opened the trunk that had taken her years to enchant for that night. One by one, the 10 children of 11 and 12 years old huddled like chicks looking for warmth.

Ginny turned to Parvati and Lavender, who had followed them, as had Colin and his younger brother. "Lavender, Parvati, please come in with the children, you must take care of them until the battle is over."

"What's going on, Ginny?" Lavender asked scared.

"Death eaters, they invade Hogwarts, and the Who-Must-Not-Be-Named will appear at any moment," Ginny said, keeping her voice tempered, she waited a few moments before the exclamations of surprise and horror of her companions, then turned to her friend.

"Yes, Ginny, I'll take care of protecting everyone." Dennis seemed to be about to reply, but his older brother pushed him into the trunk, which Parvati and Lavender then entered.

"Hermione and Luna went to the other houses to bring the little ones here," she said to Colin. "Make sure they come in, please."

"Aren't you going to stay?" Colin asked fearfully. Fearing for his friend's life.

"No, I'm sure you know that the Death Eaters are going to look for me," Colin nodded, of course, he knew, and he also knew about his best friend's plan, but that didn't mean he liked it. "If I stay here, I'll put everybody in danger, just stay here no matter what you hear, you'll know when it's time for them to leave. Please do what we agreed before, don't deviate from what you need to do.

"Take care Gin, I hope to see you when this is over."

Ginny gave him a sad smile and hugged him as if it were the last time, they would see each other. "We'll see each other again." She ran out to the Common Room, almost the whole house was still there, when they heard her, they turned to look at her, waiting for her to tell them what was happening, the screams outside and the rumblings continued.

"The Death Eaters invaded Hogwarts," she said coldly, as everyone began to go crazy at this information. "I recommend that you stay here and the brave ones who want to join the struggle go to the Great Hall."

At that moment the door of the house opened and Hermione and Luna entered carrying with them a troop of children, almost without looking at anyone they went straight to the room of fifth-grade girls.

Ginny ran off, being followed by some of the older students, she wanted to put as much distance between the innocent children and herself. As soon as Dumbledore died and she was captured, the battle would end.

If she was captured before the death of the director... a future she saw at age 6, which had caused her to take refuge in George's bed for the first time, Dumbledore would die in less than a week, but Snape would be tortured and killed in the cruelest way, and she. She swallowed hard as she recalled the gang rape she and many of her companions would suffer if the battle wasn't over soon if anyone other than Snape or Tom found her. She felt relieved and a pang in her chest for her enormous selfishness rebuked her, she would never be a victim of that future; because Tom was too possessive of what he considered his own, and for Lucretia Castitate she would always be safe from that disastrous fate, at least that she could thank Dumbledore.

She put a charm of concealment on her, and walked the corridors with the help of the Map, another thing Harry had done for her, and she... she would soon betray him, not for pleasure, but of her own free will. After all, there was another way, one in which she ran away and hid in the Room of Requirement until the battle was over, one in which the children would be safe in the trunk of their room, but the young women would be outraged in the worst way, where the next morning she would marry Harry and they together would defeat Tom in May of the following year. A future where after a short period of peace and with a government of light at the hands of idealistic people like Hermione and her beloved father, an inevitable war with Muggle governments would begin, one that the light side would inevitably lose.

Her daughter, her little Lily, raped and outraged by the stupidity of her damned grandparents, Lily Evans, that frigid prudish, had convinced James to get rid of his family runes, insisting that Lucretia Castitatewas barbaric and unnecessary, and he, like the damned idiot that he was, did not respect her traditions and destroyed the runes that could have saved his granddaughter from that disastrous fate. The torture of James and Albus was so inhumane, and their half-burned remains thrown into the Muggle soldiers' septic tank was all he could think of when she ran. It was selfish, she knew, but she would never allow that future for her children.

If she remained with Harry, Voldemort would come to an end, and with him would go the world of magic and the last chance for wizards and witches to survive the war with the Muggles. Her decision was the best future for magic... and for herself.

She blocked all thoughts from her mind and ran to the astronomy tower, to meet Snape, he would capture her and the apocalyptic future for magic would never happen.

She was only saying words of apology to the Muggle world and what would be left of it when Voldemort rose to power.

o-o-o-o

Lord Voldemort joined the battle in the end, seeing with his own eyes the death of the old headmaster, he had to extend the time of the attack to give his most loyal subject time to do what he had ordered, the simplest and most important mission was being fulfilled elsewhere. His dear Bella would be in charge of keeping the runes safe and it was a safe mission, he could not expose her while she carried his blood in her womb.

When the old millennium dies and the new is born

An ancient lineage will come back to life

With another name, but the same blood

Pure and ancient is their lineage, mother, and father one, and one of the other side

The seven and seven will bury one and laurels another

With one lineage, with another offspring

Consort of one or the other

Marked by one, saved by another

The desecration of the maiden will cover the world with darkness

Her purity will give luminescence

Darkness will give light and light will give darkness

And the old world will end when the maiden is taken

The old millennium will die and the new will be born...

He had analyzed the Weasley girl's prophecy for months, and he couldn't risk another fatal mistake like the one that occurred with the prophecy related to Potter. If only Severus had not made the stupidity to tell him the incomplete prophecy, he, Lord Voldemort, would never have been defeated for 13 years.

If only he hadn't marked him as his equal, the prophecy would never have been set in motion, it was he who gave Potter the power to destroy him. But Ginevra's prophecy could only refer to something, if he took her as his consort, she would give him the laurels of victory, if it was the boy Potter who took it it would be the defeat of the Dark Lord.

He had to take her as soon as possible.

He was immediately joined by Lucius and Severus, the latter carrying Ginevra in his arms, unconscious and only covered with a tiny skirt and an almost transparent blouse, what the hell did Dumbledore allow his students to use? He knew that the girl was pure, Lucretia Castitate's very nature assured him of it, but she would be his and only his, he could not allow other men to see his possessions.

In a cold voice, he ordered Lucius to give the girl his robe to cover her from view, only the long red hair hanging from Severus' arms.

It was time to leave.

o-o-o-o

Harry was almost dragged away by Hermione and Ron, he couldn't think or feel after seeing Dumbledore's murder with his own eyes. Only when he was with his companions around did the light return to his mind, he tried to look for his fiancée, but he did not see her in the crowd, terrified he began to shout her name. Mr. and Mrs. Weasleys were also present and began to look for their daughter.

No one found any trace of her. They spent hours looking for her, until well into the early hours of the morning they began to accept that perhaps she had been kidnapped. Colin approached Harry when they finally freed all the children from the trunk and handed him a sealed letter, in Ginny's characteristic irregular handwriting. When they saw her, all the Weasleys burst into tears, guessing what had happened.

Dear Harry

Forgive me for saying goodbye in this way, this is the best possible future for all of us, you may not see it that way right now, but it is. I didn't tell you enough times; I love you, I love you so much that I feel like I might die for doing this to you, but I know I won't die, and this way you won't either.

Flee before dawn, don't worry about funerals or commemorating the dead, the dead are dead and you should not follow them to the grave. Take Ron and Hermione and run away, run as far as you can, countries where you can go unnoticed, and stay away from the magic world of any country until the war starts and the real war begins. Tom won't look for you, I'll take care of that, Harry, but you must hide, if you ever loved me do it for that love. Colin will help you.

My family must cooperate with the new regime, please tell my parents that they must get out of the order, and not try to overthrow the new government, it won't work, and if it works it will bring devastating and unimaginable consequences. I can't tell you the future beyond what will happen these days.

The battle and its date I began to see it when I was 6 years old, it was what made me seek refuge in my brothers and then in you, there were many possible futures, even more, horrible and nauseating. I'll be taken by the Death Eaters today, if my plans go well, it'll be Snape who brings me to Tom, and tomorrow I'll stop being Ginny Weasley.

Don't feel guilty about this; I was destined to be his consort from the beginning, and I won't suffer by his side, despite deserving it for making you feel betrayed. I'm a selfish person Harry, and you've always known it, that's why I'm going to withhold your promise to marry me and I'll ask you never to forget me, go to another country, meet other women, have sex, if you want to have children, do it, but keep your promise to marry me.

Bill won't be a werewolf, tell my mother not to worry and to continue with the wedding plans with Fleur. Charlie must return to Romania to take care of his dragons, tell him not to trust the soldiers who ask for asylum there, it will be the end of his dragons if his compassion wins, also tell him that when Tom orders him to come to battle, he obeys. Percy, I left him a letter aside and I'll see him soon, just tell my parents that he'll be fine and we'll be together while this lasts, don't hate him for any reason and support him. Tell Fred and George to continue with their joke shop and keep developing their inventions, it will be a long time before me to see them, tell them that if they have ever loved their parents never try to go against Tom, and they will not get in trouble if they stay focused on their shop

Don't look for me please, don't try to rescue me, we'll only be able to see each other when Tom dies. If we meet before it happens, we will be enemies, marriage in my case will bind my soul and my loyalty to my husband.

Stay safe and alive. Someday we will be together again.

Love, Ginevra

The letter was passed on by the whole family, between tears and sobs. Harry felt as if the world was falling on him, all the little things since he had started his relationship with Ginny 4 years ago were coming to the surface. She had lied to him and was now asking him to sit idly by when Dumbledore had been murdered and she had been kidnapped, now that the wizarding world would be plunged into darkness... but... She knew what would happen and she was asking him for that. He remembered some of her most vivid nightmares, which she was so horrified that she had to tell him about them.

She knew and was telling him to prepare for the coming war, though he was no longer so sure who they would be fighting.

Almost like an automaton, he took the letter that had already passed 3 times for everyone and ran to his room, followed by Ron shouting, telling him to ignore what that letter said and go rescue Ginny. Ignoring him he began to pack his things, taking out all the wizard clothes he had and putting the Muggle on top of his bed, moments later Hermione arrived with a small trunk in her hand, placed it on the floor, and enlarged it.

Harry began to throw his belongings inside, the bottomless trunk that Ginny had enchanted was appropriate for them. Once he was done, he turned to Hermione telling her to pack Ron's things while he went to get Colin and his brother, Neville had just entered the room.

Once ready, they went down to the Common Room, where the other Weasleys were still shouting what to do, and where the rest of the parents were coming for their children. They turned when they heard the noise and looked at the boys in amazement. They were all wearing comfortable Muggle clothes, Hermione was carrying the trunk in which they had all put their things, reduced and arranged in her pocket, Ron had finally given in and was willing to accompany them.

o-o-o-o

Molly Weasley screamed as they ran out, chasing them wand in hand, crying loudly, she didn't want to lose any more children. Finally, Arthur caught up with her and stopped her, both of them watched as the young men and woman disappeared on the horizon.

"Love, you know that we have to let them go and that we have to do what our pumpkin asked," Arthur said with his wife trembling in his arms. "We always imagined that this would happen."

Molly sobbed and nodded. Her husband was right, she had always known what would happen, she had known it since a little 3-year-old Ginny played to be Lady Voldemort commanding everyone in her little court of teddy bears.

Thanks for the commentary.

The muggles didn't rape Ginny to cause visions. It's just that rape in conflict is not new. It has long been seen as an inevitable, if regrettable, a product of war, a form of collateral damage beyond control. During conflicts it is very effective in breaking the enemy's morale, especially if women are raped in public or if their family members are forced to participate. Widespread and systematic sexual violence also interferes with sustainable post-conflict recovery in at least three ways: first, it undermines social stability by destroying families and communities; second, fear of sexual violence limits women's mobility, withdrawing them from economic activity and preventing girls from attending school; and third, failure to punish perpetrators of sexual violence seriously undermines efforts to build confidence in the state's ability to protect its citizens and establish the rule of law.

It doesn't have much to do with sexual desire, it is a way of exercising power.
