"RIDICULOUS! THIS IS SIMPLY TOO RIDICULOUS!" A certain freaking LIVID doctor shouted out while throwing his hands up in the air like he'd just given up on life itself. Despite the mask and hat concealing his face from view, it remained clear that the Doctor had a LOT of pent-up fury towards the source of it.
As for what had caused him to be this furious, that would be the currently unconscious Theseus whose form lay motionless on top of a hospital bed in Hellsing's medic room. Beside him, a frantic Asia could be seen sweating profusely while currently healing his broken left arm, the poor girl looking to be on the verge of passing out due to the amount of concentration and energy she was exuding. Her Sacred Gear furiously glowed with its green light which bathed itself across the arm, which slowly began sorting itself out by twisting and snapping back into proper place.
Nevertheless, the sight of the arm slowly being mended as well as the other HORRIFIC injuries didn't abate the burning livid feelings coursing through Michel's being. The Doctor couldn't help but continue his speech, or rather a rant about the sheer stupidity that he had witnessed. "Why oh why do you have to be so stupidly reckless, boy? Are you looking for death?! Because as far as I can tell, death is waiting for its opportunity! Everywhere you go, anyway you are in its waiting for you to fall into its grip! You're at the top of its list!" Michel ranted at the unconscious blonde male while storming about the room, a mix of heavy curses and other vulgar obscenities being uttered beneath his breath that would even make professional racists green with envy.
He, Asia and Theseus wasn't alone in the room though, there was practically a full house at the moment.
The leader of the Hellsing Japanese branch, Meredith, could be seen sitting on a chair beside the bed housing the wounded Hellsing member, one leg crossed across the other whilst exuding a fake sense of calmness… as for why one could say it was fake the answer lay in the fiery aura surrounding her as well as the way she bit her lip hard enough to draw blood alongside how her white gloved hands gripped her biceps tight enough to rival cobras.
On either side of her, stood a shameful-looking Mio and Maria who refused to look at the woman for fear of drawing her ire. Mio looked absolutely heartbroken compared to the Succubus, her fists clenched tightly as her hair covered her eyes in shadow. Maria meanwhile looked somewhat better than her, but not by much.
Her mother Sheila stood between them and while she remained frowning at the horrid sight before her, her expression remained as composed as ever. Whether that was due to her wanting to provide support for her distraught daughter or because she had gotten used to this sight in her centuries of living would be debatable, although the way she held Maria's hand implied the former.
Next to Theseus alongside Kuroh, stood Vali with the male leaning on the wall, his arms crossed like his samurai-like companion.
Karasuma stood close to the room's entrance, with Hijikata being opposite him. The said former Shinsengumi member held a cigar in his lips, but it wasn't lit due to the 'no smoking' rule in this place.
Lars was beside them as well, without his mask since it had been destroyed.
Nevertheless, each of them held various degrees of apprehension and anxiety flowing through them as they all listened to the doctors ranting.
Said doctor practically ignored not only them but also all forms of medical discipline, his patience having been worn thin. "You're always so fucking reckless, its going to be the death of you! You fucking idiot! It will be the end of you! Your even lucky to even be alive!"
BAM!
Out of sheer rage, the man slammed a bunch of x-ray papers on a nearby whiteboard, which drew their gazes towards him yet again. Although, they would soon regret this decision with the extent of the blonde male's injuries shocking everyone down to their very cores (as well as made Mio and Maria nearly have heart attacks). Theseus skull, it was practically cracked everywhere, almost on the verge of breaking apart. It didn't help that it was the most important part of the human body, housing the brain and other essential bodyparts that, if damaged, would impact the shark king forever.
The fact that Theseus had been reckless enough to let something like this happen to him when he CLEARLY had the ability to stop it, only added further fuel to the fires of Michel's rage as he continued to rant. "Your skull is fractured like all hell, almost on the verge of shattering into pieces that would lodge into your brain! Your organs are almost raptured to pieces as if a bunch of animals had gotten their claws onto you! How is it scientifically possible for your organs to still work?! What type of abnormal body were you born with?!" Michel outright boomed, seemingly at his wits end as he slammed a fist into a wall.
BOOM!
Maria flinched at the sound of this fist, already imagining what that could do to her head, while she still kept her head down from the anger Michel was ranting. In her mind, this was all her fault in the first place. Maybe she could have done things differently if she had known that the blonde would be reduced to this abysmal state, not to mention the sheer depression that hung throughout the room.
Before she could continue to scorn herself in her mind, Shelia briefly squeezed her hand which caught her attention. Maria slowly raised her head and shifted her attention to Sheila who gave her an assuring smile.
"(PANT)...(PANT)...(PANT)...(PANT)..." the doctor panted for a while after having exploded, releasing so much anger inside of him. All of his rage was now gone, yet none dared to speak up as Michel heaved and panted heavily, looking mildly sweaty as his chest rose and fell in an exaggerated, dramatic fashion.
Catching his breath and standing up straight. His eyes glint through his mask, starting to speak in a deep tone. "Forgive my outburst but I will be frank…with all of you." The way the doctor spoke was serious. "I've done everything I can, but the damage to his face is too great for me to fix. It is beyond my knowledge in my years as a doctor."
Vali narrowed his eyes before he spoke to the doctor. "What are you saying doc? Couldn't the saint here heal Theseus back to the way he is?"
"That's the problem."
It was then that Theseus' arm was finally healed, to which the moment her task got completed Asia's eyes rolled to the back of her head before the blonde Nun fell to the ground. She would have hit the floor headfirst if Michel did not catch her in time, the man having kneeled and caught her in his arms. There, the small girl lay panting and sweating like she ran in an olympic event. Even so, she weakly opened her eyes to face the bewildered group before the saint began to speak. "I'm sorry…..but I could only heal…the surface injuries…Theseus arm is too….. Its my first time healing one."
Michel then explained to the group with the better reason. "What Asia is saying is that her abilities are not enough to mend the damage due to her lack of mastery over her twilight healing. The state she's been reduced to is proof enough of this." Michel explained to Vali in better words for him to understand.
"Grrrrhhh!" Vali growled at the explanation, not in anger but frustration by the fact of the words Michel said to them.
Michel sighed and shook his head before saying the following with a resigned, downright defeated tone. "The damage is done to his face will most certainly make a permanent scar on his face. In order for him to not be disturbed by other people at the sight of his scar….
He'll have to wear the mask for the rest of his life."

Heavy silence took a hold of the medical room. No words came out of anyone's mouths, the revelation of Theseus being too great for anyone to say something. This didn't surprise Michel any, as he expected this to have happened when he'd made that conclusion during the frantic moments when he and Asia had to stabilize the unconscious male.
Though a certain pair of girls looked to have been affected the worst by this news. Mio and Maria widened their eyes, something inside of them breaking like glass shattering.
Between them, Sheila looked over towards her daughter and witnessing her shock and despair. She shifted her attention to Theseus, casting a gaze of pity over towards Mio's savior.
Poor boy… just for what lengths he'd gone to for Maria, he didn't deserve this kind of fate inflicted upon him.
They weren't the only ones who felt hit by this though, for both Vali and Kuroh stood in silence for a while, shadows covering their faces for a while. That is, before Vali's blue eyes sharpened with the same happening to Kuroh's own eyes as well, displaying their immense rage over what they were feeling. They didn't say anything, but they didn't need to for their actions said it all.
Away from them, Karasuma shook his head and put his hand over his forehead, feeling a small migraine assaulting his temples. Another suffering he missed, another victim he failed to prevent. His age was getting to him as much as he hate it.
Lars frowned over the revelation.
And Hijikata….well. "Damn, this brat has some serious balls." He proclaimed, a look of approval being aimed towards the unconscious blonde male.
Karasuma looks at Hijikata with disapproval. "Can you be serious about this and not joke around Toshizou?"
"Oi oi, I'm not joking around." the former general retorted in an attempt to quickly diffuse the argument before it could get worse. "I'm upset as well the same as all of you, but you forget that I'm an old fashioned guy in more ways than one. Back in my time, scars on front were sign of pride for warriors. Unlike ones on their back which are goddamn shameful, a disgraceful dishonor that only seppuku can cleanse. Having a scar on his back is a sign he fled from a fight, it would prove he is not a warrior." Hijikata explained.
"History lesson aside..." Michel interjected into the conversation and went to the cabinet closet. Opening it revealed it's contents to be a variety of different masks, all hanged. Reaching forward into the cabinet, the doctor made some careful choices around which one to choose before he choose a Venice-type mask, one that covered the top portion of the wearer's face. After picking it out, Michael turned around on his heels, his coat fluttering from the motions before he went and walked on over to Meredith.
Seeing him approach her, the auburn haired woman arched a brow before a flash of recognition passed through her gaze. She quickly figured out what their resident doctor wanted to do and stood up. "It is possible to repair Alucard's apprentice face, but there are a few that has the power to do so." He stopped in front of Meredith, finishing his sentence. "One of them is-"
"Phenex tears." Meredith declared, wincing at the mention of said items.
Michel nodded his head. "That is correct." He sees the uneasy look on Sir Integra's protege who had her head down. "But I imagine there is something related to the phenex tears that is causing you distress."
Meredith frowned, not aimed at the doctor. She lift her head and looks directly at Nostradamus's descendent. "Phenex tear are made from the devil family, one of the 72 pillars. The Phenex family." she stated like that was the answer to everything.
Apparently that wasn't the case for the Nostradamus descendent, who remained confused about Meredith's aversion to one of the most potent healing items in the supernatural world. "May I ask what is it that is making you doubt about the Phenex tears?" he questioned, tilting his head to the side.
Instead of her answering, Vali joined in on the conversation after walking up to them with his hands pocketed inside his pants. He knew VERY well the answer to that question, having stayed with Theseus for so long he'd clued in to the way he viewed such things. The way that he handled him upon their first meeting was also enough of an indicator. "It means that Theseus despises those bastards."
Michel shift his attention to Vali. "What does that have to do with the devils?"
Kuroh joined in as well. "If we were to give Theseus the very item that is made from the devils….He….." he stopped what he was about to say, turning his head away. Frowning, he didn't say anything at all before he turn his head back to the doctor. "He'll tear his entire face apart, till it is hardly recognizable which he would find preferable to having 'accepted' a gift from a Devil."
"Wha?! What in Gods name?!" Michel reared back in total surprise at the explanation, what would happen if he were to give him the phenex tear. It wasn't him either, but Mio, Maria, Sheila and the two adults also shared similarly stunnned expressions. Even Hijikata looked like he hadn't anticipated such a reaction.
Mio finally spoke after being silent the whole conversation. "Why…..why would he do such a thing?" Mio asked to Meredith. "Does he hate the devils that much?"
"More than what you can know Mio." Meredith answered Mio's straight forward question. She placed her hand over the Venice mask, casting an attachment spell that would allow Theseus to put on and take off his mask anytime. "Theseus absolutely despises those wretched beings. His hatred towards them surpasses anyone in Hellsing. A God of war and hatred could hate the underworld faction, but Theseus hatred? It would GREATLY surpass them." she explained.
Maria furrowed her brows at this information. She'd had an idea of this when she had first met Theseus back when they were on the run, but something about Meredith's words struck a chord in her. She really wanted to ask her to elaborate on the depths of this hatred, but wasn't sure how to do so especially considering the recent incident.
Fortunately, her mother beat her to it. "May I ask how much does he hate Devils? It does not sound very healthy, to me." she questioned, prompting Meredith to give the multi-century year old Succubus a flat gaze.
"Lemme lay it out for you; if Theseus were to get a Phoenix Tear without consent from him, he would track the culprits down including the Devil involved. He'd restrain them, and what happens next would make them WISH they'd died… only they wouldn't. In fact, he'd make sure you CAN'T die because your pain satisfies his malicious vengeance. He'd hook you up to all manner of torture devices, inject stimuli drugs into your system, slowly run razor blades across your skin. He'd flay you, pull out your teeth and fingernails one by one, remove your appendages and skin before proceeding to wait for it to grow back to then repeat the process.. Then you would be sliced to pieces while you are still alive by the end of it, before he feeds you to his Sharks… there's also a chance he'd toss you in whole and let some of his favorite ones rip your intestines out from your ass. THAT is how much he would hate any help from Devils."

"...Holy fuck, sweet Amaterasu and the shinto trinity. I've REALLY underestimated this boys level of hatred!" Only one person, Hijikata, spoke after the stunned revelations about the depths of Theseus hatred. Far from being composed like before, the man literally looked like he had just seen one of his old enemies be revived in front of him after slaying him with his blade. His skin had lost all color, his unlit cigar had fallen to the floor and a look of absolute HORROR had plastered itself onto his face. He turned his attention to Karasuma, poking him with his elbow to get him out of his mortified trance. "You have to agree with me Karasuma, there is no one in the world that has that amount of hatred inside of them."
"You are not wrong." Karasuma agreed with Hijikata. He shift his attention to the calm face of Meredith. "How many devils have fallen into Theseus hands?" He asked Meredith, though part of him felt understandably anxious about hearing the answer to that.
She held her head down while cursing the memories she had pertaining to the exact details of his 'torture sessions' and how many Devils fell under his claws. Ever since that incident with the Shinto faction, those memories came up in her nightmares but instead of the Devils it had been HER tied to that chair, with Theseus being her tormentor. Worse still, if she pushed him too hard Meredith could actually imagine him going that far. "About….20 devils." she eventually revealed, already predicting the fallout that will follow.
""20 Devils?!"" Both Maria and Mio shouted at the number he has tortured before the both of them turned green and almost vomited, though they held it in.
Karasuma almost fell on his back if he hadn't kept his posture, years of practicing controlling his emotions coming into play. Yet despite his best efforts, there were just some he couldn't contain. "And any of you didn't stopped him?!" He furiously asked Meredith, teeth clenched as his mind conjured up brutal images of graphic torture scenes that his student likely participated in.
"I've tried Karasuma, but I do not have the best grip over him. He's a wild beast and no one can control him. Very few people can rein that beast in, the two people I can think of who could is my teacher Sir Integra Willbrok Hellsing and his mentor: the trump card of Hellsing, Alucard." Meredith said to Karasuma, her tone grim and resigned to what may have been a fact of life.
"Alucard...?" Sheila repeated the name beneath a whisper, before widening her eyes in surprised horror and paling significantly. "Oh no." Maria's mother whispered in fright when revealing Theseus mentor, the living darkness of Hellsing. It would explain how he was powerful at such a young age and how he was able to survive such fatal wounds.
Meredith also add in another fact. "It didn't help that even if his master confronted him, Alucard wouldn't care and instead leaves those Devils to Theseus to torture as he saw fit. He rarely keeps Theseus on a leash, no matter how many times my teacher tells him to."
Lars was also stunned before he composed himself, this level of horror was not on the scale he had felt when he personally faced the origin of evil himself and standing at its mere pressence. "Don't think these Devil's are the victim's here. I know for a fact that the Devils are not good people, let alone as a species." from his speech gained everyones attention to Lars. They all shifted his attention to the manipulator Devil.
"Hmph, very observant aren't you Lars?" Meredith said to Lars, putting a hand on her waist before she spoke. "Despite being a part of the race Alucard's apprentice despises, you talk so lowly about them. Thats awfully bold of you."
"I am not a fool nor an idiot. I'm well aware of how much everyone despises our very existence." Lars bluntly stated, surprising Karasma and Hijikata with his nonchalant admission. "We are not that great of a race, the older generation tried to shelter the young generation from the truth about how most faction most likely the Egyptian wanting our faction to disappear from the face of the planet. But for me, I'm realistic towards the worlds view of us."
"Heh." Vali snorted through his nose. "I can see why Theseus tolerates you then, Lars. You don't try and diffuse the blame of what your race has done towards other people." At this, several nods of agreement came from several Hellsing members.
Mio looked around at the people in confusion before turning her attention to Maria… which gave her the chance to witness an utterly DARK look on the succubus' face, one that looked almost murderous. While this almost stunned her, Mio the same look on Maria's mother's face before the redhead shift her attention to Meredith. "What do they mean Ms. Meredith?" she asked her magic teacher.
Memories of what Satan had said about Devils resurfaced in her mind, sending multiple chills down her spine.
Meredith glanced at the confused look Satan's daughter sported, before turning to her attention away from her. "Mio….what Lars means is that-"
"The devils are no better than the demons." Vali interrupted Meredith, stepping forward. He looks at Mio and the two adults before narrowing his eyes. "I'm gonna tell all of you this and I am not spewing out false words coming from these lips. So pay attention, all of you."
Taking a pause, Vali strode to the middle of the room. He did not hesitate to say something instead of being quiet. "As I said before, the devils are no better than the Demons even though they are different races. Do you want to know why? Simple, they are the worst fucking race to ever exist on the face of this Earth! You say that humans are worse due to their history and the genocides they commited, but devils have had THOUSANDS of years worth of sin compared to what humans have done! First they lie, tricking you into making a deal, all in exchange for signing a single fucking contract? Hah! You wish! When they find something, they manipulate events for decades to make it look like they had no freaking CHOICE but to sign a contract with them! Then they would just do whatever they damn well pleased with them, before tossing them aside and labeling them as strays, for which their ignorant masses accept with zero hesitation! Te strays hardly get a chance to say anything, and that's not considering the fact that many Strays are fucked up in the head themselves! Those Devil fuckers would do anything just to gain a single contract: lie, cheat, steal, rape! TORTURE! AND BACKSTABBING! ALL FOR ONE CONTRACT!" he shouted, putting out his hand while his index finger stood up just to make his standing. "The New Satan faction, that's what those who snatched control over the underworld from the Old Satan Faction call themselves, just because they grew tired of their traditions and wanting to change. But guess what? They are even WORSE than those Old Satan Factions!"
Mio blinked olwlishly, caught off guard by the passion behind Vali's speech even though it didn't sound NEARLY as bad as the graphic descriptions of Theseus' torture sessions. "H…How are they worse?" she questioned, struggling to make sense of what was being told to her.
The way that Vali glared at her nearly made Mio eep, as well as nearly lose control over her bladder. "Countless times they have tried to say they were trying to change, but thats just bullshit! One of their leaders: Ajuka Beelzebub, their Chief Advisor for the Technology Department, created the one thing that caused countless species to go extinct or go into hiding. Those are the evil pieces." the mere MENTION of 'evil pieces' got spewed forth from Vali's mouth like venom.
Though he wasn't the only one as IMMEDIATELY those who were familiar with the practices around those said objects turned sour. Shelia practically shuddered as if she were naked in the cold arctic ocean at the mention of them, something which Maria bristled at as she looked to the side to hide her expression from everyone. Though with the way her shoulders trembled made the implications all the more mortifying.
"From that shit, they can turn ANY beings into devils! Ghosts, souls, Youkais, Humans, spirits, monsters and other mythical beings into their race! Hell they won't care if they reject their offers! They'll force you into becoming a devil whether you like it or not! They'll kill you or wait till you've been killed by other races, and then reincarnate you as a Devil as what they like to call it a 'second chance'! Countless beings have suffered under their control! They couldn't do anything against their King who's allowed to do whatever he or she likes to do! Abuse, neglect you, torture, rape, the skies the limit! Hell, perhaps there's no limit to their debauchery!"
Mio's pupils shrink before they turned into slits. She gripped her hands so hard that veins rapidly bulged over them at the mention of how brutal the Servants were treated, as well as how they were 'acquired'. She remembered the way countless countries took people from their homes and reduced them to slaves for labor, and their conditions had been some of the most miserable times she had ever read about.
She wasn't the only one affected by this information. Karasuma narrowed his eyes and while outwardly they did not show his emotions but if one held ample experience in reading people they'd be able to tell just how much of a volcano waiting to explode the man resembled. And Hijikata…he looked close to pulling out his Katana to commit genocide.
"You people tell us that Hellsing is the bloodiest and worst faction in the world? Thats fine, because at least we don't hide our actions and wherever we go, trails of blood will be spilled out from our enemies. But the devils…they are on the top of the list I tell you! Sure, Theseus torture sounds a bit sick and terrifying but at least he has a very good reason why he despises them and I agree with him! Devils and the whores they belong to! Those pure-bloods who wanted to stay pure so much that they…..URG!" at that last part, Vali turned green and almost vomited.
Hijikata furrowed his brows when he saw what Vali's reaction to what he was about to say, confusion plaguing him for a short while before he stopped when realization dawned on him. it looked like he was about to be disgusted. It wasn't long before he widened his eyes in disbelief. "Oh God..." he said under his breath before he paled. "Do they even practice 'THAT'...?" He asked, almost sick of the thought.
Vali swallowed his vomit with a look of disgust before nodding his head and spoke in a grim tone. "Yes, they practically do some incest shit, sleeping with their relatives. Doesn't help that there's been cases where their older relatives literally FORCE this upon their younger ones. There's also been reports of elderly relatives kidnapping their younger relatives and forming a bunch of 'sex manors' in where their debauchery's enjoyed by their entire clan. Think that shit you see in Hentai, but 10 times worse."
That was the final straw, Mio and Maria turned green at the throat before hurrying to a nearby trash canister and spilled out their lunch out from their mouth. Sheila patted Maria on the back for assurance and to soothe her emotion she's feeling.
Karasuma's emotions flared almost to their reckoning point. The revelation of such debauchery was something that even a strong willed man like him would be sicked at the thought of. There was a reason why humans vehemently campaigned to end shit like this, an while not perfect it was still a step in the right direction. He recalled how shit like this happened a lot in olden times like with the Egyptians or any European monarch in history. He was almost having a mental break down if he hadn't noticed a gourd that was suddenly being held in front of him, causing the man to blink owlishly before running his gaze along the arm holding it to see that it came from an equally distraught-looking Hijikata.
"Drink this… it'll help, a lot. Thats how I deal with stuff like this back in my time." Hijikata claimed, holding his offered gourd up to his colleague whilst making the darkest of expressions that the former UK soldier had ever seen on him.
Nevertheless, Karasuma looked at the gourd for a few seconds before taking it from his hand and downing the content. While the taste of alcohol filled his throat with a stinging buz, it did manage to relieve some of the stress built-up in his mind. It must've been also the reason why the former general doesn't look that effected by this shit, perhaps he simply had seen so much of shit like this that he had grown mostly numb to it. Karasuma knew the feeling, since he knew it was a sad fact that humans grow numb to killing each other if they do it enough.
Lars looked away from the other occupants in the room at the thought of stuff like that, it was worse for him because he'd once SEEN such things happening under Zolgear's administration. The old fart had to grow funds fast, and sexual debauchery was a FANTASTIC resource to be exploited.
Meredith also looked away as this was one of the flaw the nobles like to try and keep their blood pure. Such adultery had always horrific, to the point where she was glad her grandmother was not one of them and in the past banned that practice a long time ago. Nevertheless, she knew very well how the nobles would follow the pureblood route if given the chance. No matter what, their mentality had been engraved into their heads by the older generations.
Seeing that Vali had almost reached the breaking point, Kuroh decided to interject the conversation by stepping forth from his spot beside Theseus' bed and pocketed his hands inside his coat. His eyes remained closed as he addressed everyone in a calm, composed tone… though the way his voice cracked a few times during the following statement betrayed what he REALLY felt inside. "That's not the worst of it. Remember THAT Devil? Volt was his name, I think…" he began, trailing off at the end as a look of revulsion formed on his features. "Theseus personal mentor… one of those lessons was testing our mentality because there must be no sign of weakness in Hellsing. To that end, Alucard told us a story, a story he personally engraved into our minds."
Kuroh stopped for a moment, taking the time to gain enough courage to speak by inhaling and audible exhaling. Not to mention the following task of telling the story that would most likely scar them for life, like it would have done to any normal person or even an experienced war veteran.
Briefly, Kuroh hesitated before he said the following. "While I may not like the devils that much as Theseus or Vali, this story makes me want to expand my hatred towards all devils like America's Manifest Destiny BS." He stopped before he sat next to the hospital rail at the side of the blond-haired male's bed. "In the past, there has been a devil, Volt. he was a mercenary that gathered the devils into a group called the 'black dogs'. The black dogs were highly a successful mercenary group that completed almost every mission they were given during the Great War, marking them as one of the best merc groups in the underworld. He was offered to be a noble by the new satan faction but he declined it, saying he had a higher purpose instead. The devils did not know what it was until they were assigned to capture a dark and powerful elf known as Olga, the daughter of the dark elf faction leader Malekith."
"Elves?" Mio, who still had her eyes slitted, raised her eyebrow and tilted her head sideways in confusion. "Are they real?"
"Of course they're real. There are some cases where they defected from the Norse pantheon into another pantheon." Kuroh answered Mio before putting a hand under his chin. "Though I'm not sure what they call themselves now or what gods they now worship." Shaking his head. "Anyway once they captured her, they revealed their true intentions." Sharpening his eyes and spoke in a grim tone. "Their leader Volt and the black dogs wanted to establish the an empire for himself in the underworld….a sex empire."
"?!"
The moment every female in the room heard that, the temperature instantly shot upwards so high that it almost flew through the roof. Mio looked close, just so goddamn close, to transforming into her Satanic form on the spot. If that wasn't enough she felt her hatred steadily rising to almost scary levels, to the point where it started to become similar to Theseus' level considering how much heat she was emitting, smoke rolling from her shoulders. Similar reactions came from every female in the room at the thought of such an abomination coming into existence.
"If that wasn't enough, Volt had years to gain followers and the allegiance devil nobles on both factions' sides who wanted to participate in this debauchery. Such Hedonism that even a God of Sex like Eros and Aphrodite would be sickened by. Volt had many powerful figures in his army, he'd pillage every devil village across the Underworld to take their women and children as sex slaves. Yes, many of the Nobles had pedophilia on their list of sins to indulge in. Once nobles even captured a light elf for his personal use, Celestine. The daughter of a powerful elf named Eldrad who raised her to be their God's priestess. He almost conquered the underworld with all these things going for him, but..."
After hearing the samurai-like butler pause once more, Karasuma arched a brow. The coach began to theorize on what had happened but it didn't take him long to come to several conclusions. "My guess is they were stopped by either one person or an army?" Karasuma guessed the answer. Since Gods and monsters were real, he figured there was a good chance it might have been one of those options.
Kuroh nodded his head in response turning away from the bed to face the coach. "Yes, coach. They were stopped, by one person who is more ruthless and vicious. Alucard." Kuroh answered.
Karasuma narrows his eyes, hearing about how powerful Alucard was. Considering how he trained Theseus to be what he is, he got the feeling that the more he learned about Alucard, the greater the fear he got regarding him.
"This was around the time when Sir Integra's great grandmother ruled over Hellsing. Upon meeting with her, Eldrad pleaded with the woman to get rid of these Black Dogs without mercy, to remove them from the face of the Earth and rescue the elves that he had captured. Especially his daughter and the dark elves daughter, whose father couldn't reach out and save her for a variety of reasons. The woman, Sir Madelin Hellsing, accepted since the black dogs had intentions to target the UK faction as well. To that end, she sent Alucard himself into the battlefield, and he didn't hesitate, he didn't even pay attention to the debauchery that he saw them conduct in favor of pulling an Ottoman Empire and causing a mass genocide of the bastards. It was the first time the underworld was flooded with a mighty river… a river of blood. No mercy upon the black dogs, no mercy for the devil nobles."
The way Kuroh spoke, it was intense, each word pressured under the mighty presence. It was like being overwhelmed by how Hellsing had dealt with the problem so easily when others couldn't.
"Many important figures Alucard captured because he believed that death would have been an escape from a world of pain. From there, Sir Madelin Hellsing decided to give them to the dark elves because they defiled their leader's daughter and many other pantheons agreed with Hellsing. Nevertheless, it only instilled more fear of the No-life king. The black dogs were never seen again, but this caused a major disgrace for the devils who remembered it, not even the four satan could stop them due to politics and how much backing the back dogs had."
Kuroh finished his story, making the females in this room breath out in relief, each of them feeling satisfied at how Alucard had obliterated the black dogs in one go. Almost made Mio smile like her father, Satan.
Kuroh shook his head and shifted his attention to the rest of the group. "It was all a bittersweet ending, though. Many women committed suicide and experienced abortion due to having been forcefully pregnant thanks to those Black Dogs. Even more bastards were born and were given to orphanages due to how those women could never accept them as a part of their lives. Very few were accepted into their families while others…..I don't dare dabble anymore." In the end, Kuroh placed a hand on his forehead as he let out an exhausted sigh. "Even Alucard considered death to have been an escape for the bastards. All the children born suffered some form of hate and discrimination against them for the sins the black dogs commited."
Hijikata let out an exhale through his nose at that last part. He knew the feeling of how hard a child's life, especially that of a bastard, can be especially when he recalled the practices of the brothels regarding children from his era. "(SIGH) sometimes the world can be unfair. Children are not born evil nor should they bear the sins of either their mother or father." he whispered under his breath.
At this point, Vali had now finally calmed down and stood up straight from his previous fatal position. After turning to face them again, he spoke in a significantly calmer manner. "Countless other half devils are still being born in the world, all because they just can't keep it in their pants. Even an entire orphanage was built for a lot of half devils, though one is not NEARLY enough to contain them all." Vali crossed his arms. "If you think Theseus is a monster, know that there's far worse than him. Practically all these Devils have done things that make Theseus look tame in comparison."
Countless nods Mio, Maria and Sheila they made. Understanding how much Theseus hated them and why he despised their existence. Mio already started to see what her father was talking about regarding the nature of Demons, about how they were evil beings by nature and at least they embrace it. However a question remained in their minds: were the devils worse than the demons, or was it the other way around? After all, Vali and Kuroh had spoken in ways that implied that Devils and Demons were two very different species, which confused them since those names had the same meanings/connotations as one another.
Their unasked question soon got an answer from Vali's next explanation, the silver haired Hybrid now having moved to sit at the bottom of Theseus' hospital bed. "Demons and Devils are different races despite what the Church and media try to tell you. They're similar to each other in multiple ways, but one thing about them is that they're as bad as each other. Call them two sides of the same coin, yet both sides are darker than night."
Hearing that was like the final nail in the coffin for Mio to fully understand Theseus' rage towards the Demons, and by extension the devils due to how alike they were. Both were HARDLY innocent, both were despicable in their own right and had ample experience in manipulating people into doing what they liked to do, mostly indulging in Hedonism. She remembered hearing some stories from her mentor Meredith during their magic sessions, stories about Demons infiltrating human society and using that to their advantage to set up areas where they could conduct their activities without breaking the law, no matter how immoral they were.
However, there was one small part of her mind she had in her mind. "What if…..what if there were any good devils in the underworld. Lars for example."
Lars speaks up, stepping forward. "I doubt there are many good Devils in the underworld without any slight intent of deception. It would be rare, I only survived due to how I gave Theseus information and made sure I didn't do anything that would incline him towards ending me. Its how I learned the art of choosing my words carefully, and how not to anger him or any Devil with significant influence." He explained, causing the female redhead to hum in thought, though he soon added in the following. "It's very likely that IF there was any good devils, it wouldn't matter in the end. A few cannot redeem or speak for how many atrocities the race as a whole have commited."
Mio became silent after hearing how Lars spoke, about how the fact was one or a few Devils cannot convince Theseus to let go of his hatred so easily. That's like asking for a million dollar from someone who had had their money stolen.
Having remained silent to let his voice rest after so much full-volume ranting, Michel who had been listening to their conversation but chose to continue his operations, paused in his actions. He understood it of course and rather would not force the blond male into taking any phoenix tears… that and he did not want to end up like those Devils he got his claws on.
Putting the mask over Theseus face, making sure it was properly attached and examining his body one more time, the man wiped his hands clean. He cast a somewhat complicated gaze across the unconscious male, torn between horror at the kind of atrocities that Theseus did against Devils… as well as pity. For if Theseus had that much hatred… how the heck could it have festered so much?
Just what did the kid go through to scar him so badly?
