Chapter 11
The final battle.
Belos has five coven heads and 180 coven scouts. So they are easily getting overwhelmed by the 250 witches on Athena's side. Lilith made her way through the fighting crowd and found Belos. She walked up to him and said "I look forward to killing you." Belos chuckled and asked "How can a powerless witch like you kill me?" Lilith summoned her staff, got out some glyphs, and replied "I plan on killing you with my glyphs and my wit." With that said Belos and Lilith started fighting. Five minutes later Lilith is proving to be a worthy opponent. With the combination of her glyphs and her strategic mind.
Belos can tell that his curse is about to rear its ugly head. So he allowed to let his curse to take over. Belos turned into his cursed form. Lilith saw Belos change and is taken back by it. Belos decided to take advantage of Lilith's surprise. And turned his arms so that they are long with a sharp point. He slashed them across Lilith cutting her. Then he swung his arm hitting Lilith sending her flying. Athena who isn't far away saw Lilith go flying and yelled "Aunt Lilith!" She summoned her staff, got on it, and flew over the fighting crowd. Athena landed in front of Belos and got off her staff.
The young woman is mad so she slammed her staff on the ground and yelled "Emperor Belos I challenge you to a witches duel!" Belos glared at Athena and said "I accept your challenge. After I kill I'll make sure that Lilith is dead. Then I'll kill your grandparents. To get rid of the Clawthorne family for good." Golden sparks of magic appeared around Athena. Athena's light green eyes are glowing gold. She snorted and said "After I kill you. I'm going to dismantle the coven system. So that witches can live and practice magic freely." With that said Athena attached Belos. Within just a few minutes Athena is over powering Belos. Athena grabbed a hold of Belos's neck.
Hoping to fool the young woman Belos said "Please spare me young one. If you do I promise to leave the Boiling Isles and never return." Athena glared at Belos and stated "You can't fool me with your empty promises Belos." With that said Athena broke Belos's neck. Then she let go of him and watched as his body hit the ground. One of the witches fighting on Athena's side. Saw what Athena just did and yelled "Athena killed Belos we won!" Everyone on Athena's side started cheering. Some of the coven scouts took off running. And a witch on Athena's side quickly tied up the coven heads with vines.
Athena summoned her staff, got on it, and flew over the crowd. As she flew she looked for Lilith. Just then she saw a white raven flying just a head. Athena flew up to the white raven and looked down. She gasped when she saw Lilith and lots of blood. The young woman landed and ran up to Lilith. She knelt down and started trying to help Lilith. Athena tapped the end of her staff and said "Zeus go get help please." Zeus turned from wood to a real hawk owl. He hooted and flew off. Athena went back to taking care of Lilith. First she tried to stop the bleeding. As she tried to stop the bleeding. Athena can hear that Lilith's breathing is labored.
Five minutes later Zeus returned with a witch named Nina. Nina is a wild witch but is a damn good healer. She knelt down and started helping Athena. Soon they have stopped the bleeding. Then they started taking care of Lilith's injuries. Just then Victor and some of the men arrived. They have the coven heads with them. Victor walked up to Athena and asked "What do you want us to with these guys? They refuse to accept that we won." Athena started taking care of Lilith's right eye. Because there is a gash across it. Then she replied "Take them to the conformatorium and look them up in maximum security." Victor nodded and got a better look at the person that Athena and Nina are taking care of.
His eyes went wide when he realized that it's Lilith. Before leaving Victor asked "Do you want me to stay with you?" Athena shook her head and replied "No you go with the men. I'll be fine here I have Nina." Victor nodded and left with the men. A few minutes later Athena and Nina finished taking care of Lilith.
"Where should we take her?" asked Athena
"We can take her to my clinic." replied Nina
Carefully Athena and Nina picked up Lilith. Together they carried Lilith to Nina's clinic. Once at Nina's clinic they found an empty room. They carefully laid Lilith on a bed.
"Knowing my Aunt she probably left King and Luz at the Owl House. And she probably left Hooty in charge. I can go to the house and take care of things until. Lilith is up and around." stated Athena
Nina nodded and said "She should recover. But it will take some time." Before Athena left Nina asked "Are there any orders?" Athena nodded and replied "Yes have Mason gather a crew and knock down the Emperor's castle. Let the witches know that they are free to practice whatever magic they want. And we should come up with a leadership system that everyone agrees with." Nina also nodded and said "Sounds good." Athena left Nina's clinic and headed to the owl house. Soon Hooty spotted Athena and asked "Hi Athena good to see you. Did you do it? Did you win?" Athena smiled and replied "It's good to see you too Hooty. And yes we won." Hooty looked around then asked "Where's Lu Lu?"
Athena sighed and replied "She was hurt during the fight. Don't worry she is at Nina's clinic." Hooty nodded and let Athena into the house. Athena walked into the living room and yelled "King, Luz it's me it's Athena!" Just then Athena heard claws running toward her. Athena prepared herself by kneeling down and spreading her arms open. King ran into the living room and up to Athena. Athena wrapped her arms around King and hugged him.
"It's great to see you Athena. Did you guys defeat Belos?" asked King
"It's great to see you too little brother. And yes we defeated Belos." replied Athena
Just then Luz ran into the living room and joined in on the hug. Soon they all pulled away and King looked around. Then he asked "Athena I don't see Lilith where is she?" Athena got up then sat on the couch. She sighed and replied "Lilith got pretty badly hurt in the fight. Don't worry she's ok. And is being taken care of by Nina at her clinic." King nodded then asked "Will you stay here with us until she gets back?" Athena smiled and replied "Yes I am." Just then Victor arrived at the owl house with a bag for Athena and himself. That night Athena and Victor slept in the living room.
