Saturday 1 hour before Hannah's re-debut and Mikayla's on stage warming up the crowd with her Hannah Montana covers
"dad I think I made a mistake, we need to cancel the concert, it was easier doing all this when I had a record label backing me up, doing it on my own, I don't know if I can do it" says Hannah
"we're already here and Mikayla's warming them up for you, the crowd is going wild, let's see how you do tonight, if you still want to stop doing concerts after this then I won't I won't ask you to keep doing them" says Robbie
"I'm not sure I can handle it alone, I might need Mikayla and Lola up on that stage with me, I'm quite nervous" says Hannah
"don't let it get to you babe, you got this" says Lola, kissing Hannah
"ok" says Hannah, calming down a little
"I have to admit you're handling this pretty well Lola, you were pretty anxious yourself" says Siena
"yeah I do that, it wasn't uncommon for me to get anxious before a concert Hannah was performing, I got over it when I realized she always hugged me after every show, it was enough to calm me down" says Lola
"Hannah, hair and makeup want one last check on their job before you head out to stage" says Jackson walking over
"can Lola come with me, I want her on stage with me, for confidence" asks Hannah
"oh she'll be on stage, we just need to chat first" says Robbie
"oh ok, just don't be too harsh, I love her too much for you to hurt her feelings" says Hannah walking to hair and makeup
"what do we need to talk about exactly, we've been getting along quite well and 'Hannah' is very happy and so am I" says Lola
"how long have you had feelings for my daughter, I need to know the truth, none of this 'always' crap" says Robbie
"what you angry I'm not a man or something, I've always liked her to some capacity, I'm not known for being in touch with my feelings, I just don't know exactly when I changed my view from seeing her as a friend only to seeing her as girlfriend material, I just know that I woke up one day having dreamt about making out with her, her interacting with boys always made me jealous but it got worse and worse, that's why when I told her how I felt I thought walking away from her was the best option, I could continue watching her from afar and not get instantly angry any time she interacted with a guy" says Lola
"so Jackson was right, you do and always have loved my daughter" says Robbie, really coming around to the idea of Miley being gay
"Jackson said he told you years ago that Miley didn't like guys and to stop expecting her to give you kids that way" says Lola, getting angry
"it's not that I'm not happy, it's just a hard change, she used to be quite boy crazy" says Robbie starting to realize having this conversation without Miley present was a bad idea
"that's it I'm done, it's bad enough all her friends laugh at me and tell her she could have done better than an unfunny not pretty girl, now you, her father are basically telling me I'm not enough, have fun telling Hannah why Lola isn't on stage with her" says Lola, storming off, ripping the wig and coat off in the process
"what gave her the impression I meant she wasn't enough" says Robbie
"Dad, you know she can be touchy, it's all the added pressure from Miley and Hannah's friends, luckily Oliver and Mike aren't one of them, you could have worded that way better" says Jackson
"I'm sorry, it's just the shock of them dating and all the noise, it just catches me off guard, you forget I wasn't here when they got together, I had no idea they were girlfriends, I'd just assumed they were still just friends, it's my parental right to question my daughter's first serious girlfriend, you know how Miley is, things never last long with her, I just wanted to make sure it was real, Aunt Dolly isn't doing well, I wanted to make sure Miley always had a girl presence in her life" says Robbie
"I'll go get Lilly, don't expect her to feel welcome though and by all means don't expect her to go on stage now, that's certainly off the table" says Siena going to get Lilly before she leaves
With Siena 5 minutes later
"oh absolutely not, I don't care if he paid me, if he wants ME on that, stage with Miley after what HE said I will absolutely not, I don't care if it makes Miley sad, she promised that I could walk away from the relationship if anyone was making me uncomfortable and he certainly doesn't trust that what Miley and I feel is real" says Lilly
"he was in Nashville helping Dolly when you two got together, he left the day she got home because Dolly's situation got worse, the amount of noise you girls make always shocked him, he's not exactly the best with words, he confronted me when I said yes to Jackson when he proposed, he was pretty upset because as much as he loves his son he couldn't understand how someone like me could marry him, Dolly very well might not ever be allowed to fly or drive long distances ever again if she survives at all, sure he sounded angry but he wanted to know if your feelings for Miley were truly real because if Dolly doesn't make it there won't be another close female presence in Miley's life and she almost took her own life the last time you walked away" says Siena
"wait what do you mean she almost took her own life, she never said anything about that to me" says Lilly
"the first day she got back she got up early to feed Skylar, her new horse, she was throwing things around, throwing hay towards Skylar, slamming buckets of water around, Skylar was getting pretty nervous, she stopped her feet a few times warning Miley, after feeding Skylar she went to check her back hooves, one looked infected, Miley yanked the horseshoe off pretty violently, Skylar had enough and spun around and knocked Miley into the stable, she'd hit her head pretty hard, luckily the doctor said she'd be fine, Miley then proceeded to say and I'm directly quoting her here 'without Lilly my existence means nothing, I WANTED Skylar to end my life, I meant for all that to happen, Lilly told me' you don't love girls and certainly don't love me', she's lived in MY bedroom for several years then we shared a one bed dorm room for two years before the university split us up, all the signs were there and Lilly missed them all, all because some idiot lied to her and told her he and I made out, which didn't happen, I punched him, breaking his nose because he wanted my permission to outright drug Lilly and rape her, I literally can't live my life without Lilly', the doctor literally stood there stunned, it took him NINE minutes before he spoke up and told me Miley wasn't to be left alone and certainly wasn't allowed around horses, Miley made a fuss, said she was fine, the doctor said that she wasn't and that she tried to kill herself, he went on to say that Miley obviously had little faith in her connection with you if she thought that it could be broken so easily" says Siena as Lilly sighs
"fine, get me on stage but do NOT get me there by the back room, I still don't trust her dad" says Lilly putting the wig and jacket back on
"that's fair" says Siena as they head through security and to the underground passage to the stage lift
Showtime as Hannah heads to the stage and Lola rises from the floor, surprising Hannah
"let's get this party started" says Lola as Hannah chuckles
"agreed" says Hannah
5 hours later at home
"ok what happened, you disappeared then suddenly show up rising from the floor riser, I was told we couldn't use it" says Miley, snuggling Lilly
"your dad questioned my love for you, after everything Traci said, I was already feeling incredibly insecure then him questioning how I feel about you, it made me feel incredibly unwelcome, as if you being happy wasn't enough for him, him disrespecting me pissed me off" says Lilly
"I'll admit he's not always the easiest to live with but he's a good dad, I imagine he never thought I'd ever be happy, moms death really hurt me, I never let myself feel good emotions, not like Jackson could, I know for a fact he never expected Jackson to have someone as nice as Siena fall in love with him enough to want to spend the rest of her life with him, I imagine it's hard for such a drastic change, there's a big difference between wanting your kids to be happy and actually seeing Jackson and I genuinely happy" says Miley
"that doesn't mean I have to trust him and we need this room redone, apparently everyone can hear us make love, it's terrifying" says Lilly
"I have a company working on that, I just need dad's approval before I can sign the contract, apparently my remodel budget wasn't big enough last time to make improvements like soundproofing, which is just proof of how bad my math skills have gotten over the years, apparently I was off by six grand" says Miley as Jackson knocks on the door
"what is it Jackson" asks Lilly as he enters the room
"dad went above the six grand error, luckily since you guys didn't paint it the company will just swap the drywall and charge for the difference in cost, also he wants to give you girls more space, as in expanding the room into the horse paddock, giving you guys an extra room worth of space" says Jackson
"is he compensating for upsetting me or something" asks Lilly
"no, you have to remember, Miley is the spitting image of our mom, the sounds you girls make during love making freaked him out a little, he says she sounds just like mom, he never meant to insult you Lilly, the speed of the relationship confused him, he thought that when Miley got into a real serious relationship with anyone, be it a guy or girl, he thought she'd take her time, not jump right into sex, though he did praise Miley's taste in ladies, specifically saying 'boy does Miley know how to pick a girlfriend, she's clueless about boys but I always hoped that if she wanted a relationship with any woman it would be Lilly, Lilly keeps her grounded, always has, they've had some pretty big fights but there was really something different about their friendship so I always made sure to find a reason to help them work out their issues', see the thing is when mom was alive it was almost always her working out Miley and I's fights, dad always speaks best through music, remember the whole dad going on a date thing, when we snuck into the theatre to find the truth, it happened because he didn't know how to explain to Miley that mom would have wanted him to find love again after she was gone" says Jackson
"so you're saying that he did the best he could, is that really what you're saying" asks Lilly
"I mean I'm sure he could have worded it better if he had time to prepare but up until this morning he had no idea the relationship was a thing, let alone sexual in nature, Siena was the one to break the news to him the moment Mikayla walked onto the stage, you guys hadn't gotten there yet because you'd wanted ice-cream first, he was completely confused, he refused to believe that a relationship that serious would just happen over night, he kept saying 'no it has to be a friends with benefits thing, she'd have told me if they were together', this went on for ten minutes all while Siena and I were continuing to say that it was real, then you guys walked in with your ice-cream cones, sharing it between you two and then you nuzzled Miley, it all suddenly hit him, he realized it was real" says Jackson
"ok I can see that I guess but that doesn't make his words any less mean" says Lilly
"you're not wrong, however do you remember how many girls fake dated me, often because of Rico, that track record makes him suspicious and is why he grilled Siena after she said yes, it's also why he didn't quite trust you, Miley is his only daughter, he was Hannah's strict manager for a reason, the renovation starts next week, you'll be staying in Mikayla's apartment for two months, the only reason you should come back until then is to ride Skylar or pick up a few Hannah dresses" says Jackson
"I thought Mikayla had to be in her apartment near full time or she'd be in violation of her lease agreement" asks Lilly
"technically the wording says somebody has to be in the apartment near full time, it doesn't have to be her, besides she got permission, she's going to be at Oliver's apartment with his twin sister, she's still learning to trust Oliver, she's a university dropout, though to be fair her professor literally threw her out the second story window because she'd peed herself because she asked to use the bathroom and he denied her request, luckily he's in jail now for what the school successfully litigated was attempted murder" says Jackson
"my stuff won't fit in the house, not all of it, especially not Hannah and Lola's clothes" says Miley
"they're building a temporary building the size of this room to store everything in, after the renovations are done it will house Skylar's essentials, all her riding tack, her food, even a water line coming from the house so she can always have access to fresh water" says Jackson
"I assume dad went back to Nashville to look after aunt Dolly, I heard she had a fall today" says Miley
"he heads out tomorrow, she's on a no fly list because of her new pain issues, however dad can drive her here, which he probably will do, he'll be in contact with us around Malibu dinner time twice a week, he set up a Miley show at the pier in three weeks, he said people were excited that Hannah's cousin is also doing music, the pier is putting on the show for free but is paying you six grand, thanks to Rico coming to a deal with the competitive arcades, they keep doubling the pot, Oliver's sister's girlfriend and her pinball rival racked up a two grand pot and the base pot is only twenty dollars, the others are all under a thousand dollars, the cops literally showed up because they assumed he was running gambling operation, he assured them that the Arcade attracts competitive players because he makes sure that all the machines are in full working order all day everyday and he doesn't tolerate excessive pot doubling, literally the only reason Sasha and her pinball rival's pot got high is because he dropped a one when calculating the total instead of carrying the one, basically the thought it was six hundred dollars less than it actually was, it was only last week when he recounted it" says Jackson
"I'm surprised he'd make a mistake like that, he used to be so proud of himself being so good at everything, math included" says Miley
"I'm surprised he didn't sell the Arcade years ago, not many people liked him when he bought it, I'm sure many people still don't" says Lilly
"I admit he can be annoying still at times but he runs a fantastic Arcade, though it helps that one of the pinball companies placed their best designer there, Lexi, Oliver's Twin sister, she was hired three days before the university incident, luckily she designed what has become the most popular pinball machine in a few decades, it also happens to be the most profitable pinball machine, its made fifty grand for Rico's Arcade alone and I don't think it's been out for a month yet, other arcades where the pinball machine is located are also reporting record profits, some of these arcades were slated to be shut down for missing a few rental payments, those arcades spent what the owners had left personally to get a hold of the machine and it literally changed their lives, it saved them from bankruptcy and now one of them is opening a second location" says Jackson
"wait Lexi as in the girl who designed Anaheim's new NHL hockey rink in high school" asks Miley
"surely not, wouldn't Oliver have known who she was, I've seen her at the Arcade, she has light brown hair, the Lexi that made the Anaheim rink in high school had black hair" says Lilly
"it's the same girl, her and Oliver were literally separated at birth because the doctor assumed their parents couldn't afford an autistic child, yes Lexi's autistic, Oliver isn't, at least not officially diagnosed, the doctor basically forced them to sign over their parental rights to Lexi, Oliver had no idea who she was, when he read an article about the designer of the new Anaheim pro hockey rink, he looked her up, he asked me if she looked like an Oken, when I saw the picture, her nose definitely had a lot of similarities to Oliver and his dad, I told him it was technically possible, he said he already asked his parents and they told him nothing, he said when they saw the picture of her their eyes widened for a second but they said nothing and told him to leave, only four years ago after her adoptive parents passed away were they reunited, Lexi knew of Oliver but not exactly how they were related, for all she knew Oliver was a distant cousin, by the way she only found out where he lived because the comedy club sent out an ad to famous people in California, hoping to get Oliver funded for a state or country wide comedy tour, honestly I've been to his shows, he's quite good, especially since Lexi showed up, his comedy shows have been filled ever since, literally, the day after Lexi showed up to his show his jokes got ten times better and more varied, the moment Lexi walked into the Oken home that night their parents started bawling, ran over and hugged her, she immediately asked for DNA testing to see if they were her real family, meanwhile Sasha was at the Arcade for two days straight until the answer came back" says Jackson
"did they get the DNA tests done" asks Lilly
"yes, not even ten minutes later they were at the hospital asking for tests, Lexi paid for them, luckily one of the doctors on shift that day was there when they were born, she walked over and said 'aww together again kids, you guys should know that doctor was fired and blacklisted a month after your births, the doctor who was about to do the tests asked 'wait these are the OKEN twins, Lexi is asking for familia DNA tests, her adoptive parents passed away', the doctor responded 'I'd recognize their eyes anywhere, do the test anyway but I'll pay, it's my fault for not stopping Nakari from doing what he did, separating these two like that', the tests came back as you'd expect" says Jackson
"but the hair change, what happened to change Lexi's hair color so drastically" asks Lilly
"that only happened recently, a hair dresser botched a highlights job, so she told them she didn't like it black anyway so they could go all the way, her hair has been getting closer to blond ever since, honestly their hair, while looking different from a distance, are a lot more similar since the botched highlights thing, there was an immediate difference from before and after" says Jackson
"what kind of difference, like she never washed her hair by herself or something" asks Lilly
"no like it was damaged and she actually has back problems because of the window incident, her back couldn't heal fully because she can be pretty active, always stretching, also she's shorter than Oliver by nearly a foot, I've seen the Oken family home's main bathroom, most things are secured in place, the wand, while on a long enough lead for Lexi to use it, it's set high enough that its not easy for her to get to without help, Oliver's apartment bathroom is a little better but not by much, the bathroom at our old house is better, anyway that's a long way to say I think she used to turn up the heat too much to compensate for the distance from her to the shower head and wand, something has changed, maybe they got new shower fixtures, I don't know but her hair looks very much un damaged now, people went from making jokes to complimenting her, especially around the Arcade" says Jackson
"if we leave now can they start sooner" asks Lilly
"no but it would give me time to clean up, any toys you girls might use will get dirty, or if you'd rather do it I can leave now" says Jackson
"and what exactly do you think we do exactly" says Miley
"I have no idea, I know only what I see or read online and what Siena tells me about lesbian relationships, I didn't mean to offend you guys or anything" says Jackson
"well we aren't like most lesbians our age, we're completely inexperienced, though that's not to say we don't plan to buy things later, the basics do well for us, though we won't be doing anything like that at Mikayla's apartment unless we see it's sound proofed, I'm not making the same mistake again that I made here" says Miley
"Lexi is a massive Hannah fan, so is Sasha, though they know something is up, they know Hannah isn't Hannah's real name" says Jackson
"how could they know, you or Oliver didn't tell them did you guys" asks Miley
"no, ironically they know he knows the truth but they won't ask him and when he has tried to explain it they throw golf balls at him, as if they hate secrets being spoiled" says Jackson
"OH MY GOD, I know who they are now, they're the only fans to perfectly translate my poem" says Miley
"wait what poem" asks Lilly
"the one you didn't understand, remember, the professor asked me to write a poem in another language as a challenge, I one upped him and used two, he was very impressed, Hannah's poem used the same languages, Norwegian and Finnish, Sasha's Norwegian and Lexi's adoptive parents were Finnish" says Miley
"so Hannah wrote a love poem to Lola and published it online, that's kind of embarrassing isn't it" says Lilly
"actually it's pretty smart, that is if Miley's plan was to show Hannah's multilingual fans that she's bi and lesbian friendly" says Jackson
"where'd you make that assumption, I wrote it because Lilly and I were placed on opposite sides of the dorm, I was missing her a lot, I needed to express my feelings for her without her immediately finding out, you have to remember, neither of us knew that the feelings were mutual between us, Lilly assumed I had no feelings for her and I assumed Lilly didn't like me romantically, not in the slightest, Lilly coped by writing secret admirer letters to me, I never once realized it was her, maybe I should have suspected it was her but the writing was very discrete, other than a 'we've met quite a few times before' sprinkled over more than a dozen letters, I had no way to figure out who the secret admirer was, I had tried writing a secret admirer letter to Lilly three times but for some stupid reason, I was unable to keep it anonymous, I'd ended up writing MileyxLilly or simply just my name like fifty times, I gave up but I had to express myself somehow, Hannah feels for Lola as I do for Lilly, for whatever reason I was able to detach myself more as Hannah, I was able to let the emotions become words without me feeling weird about it" says Miley
"fair enough" says Jackson as he leaves
"you should know I too needed help, I didn't physically write those letters, they're my words but not my writing, Abigail wrote them, I paid her twenty dollars per admirer letter" says Lilly
"I guess that makes sense, your handwriting is pretty unique, though it's odd that she never said anything, especially after I asked her if she was writing these to me, she flat out said 'if it was me I wouldn't be writing letters I'd be making a move, though those letters are her signature cuteness mode', it shocked me, it felt like she was giving me hints to who it was" says Miley
"wait does she like girls too or just boys" asks Lilly
"she's bi curious, certain women have an affect on her but not many, she's in a relationship with a man right now who missed her while she was in university, he feels she should have chosen the closest San-Francisco university to their home instead of Stanford here, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they break up soon, he can be a pretty mean drunk, actually I'm going to call her right now" says Miley calling Abigail
"hey what's up" says Abigail
"I'm inviting you to a party, it's in three weeks but I want you down here now" says Miley
"I've been trying to break up with him for a few days, today I told him we were done for good and he mumbled things under his breath and went drinking, I have about two hours to pack, I'll pack what I can in my car and I'll head out, my phone will be off until I'm well on my way so don't contact me until I contact you" says Abigail as she hangs up
"oh her mom is going to have a conniption, she only sees the good in Brandon, believe me this won't go over well" says Miley
