Diana Prince, known to the world as Wonder Woman, and Peter Parker, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, had been dating for a few months. Their relationship had blossomed from mutual respect for each other's heroics to a deep connection beyond their crime-fighting personas.
One evening, Peter swung by Diana's apartment to pick her up for their dinner date. She greeted him with a warm smile, her Wonder Woman outfit swapped for a stylish evening dress. Peter was always mesmerized by her beauty and couldn't keep his eyes off of her, no matter what she wore when they were together. Yet again, no matter where they went, Diana always drew a crowd's attention, no matter where they were or what she wore. Who could blame them? Diana was likely the most beautiful woman in the whole city.
"Wow," Peter said awestruck. "You look...wow."
Diana blushed as she fixed her hair. "Thanks, you look dashing as always."
As they walked hand in hand to the restaurant, people couldn't help but stare at this striking couple as they walked down the street. At the restaurant, Diana and Peter enjoyed a quiet corner table, sharing stories and laughter.
Peter talked about his latest battles with villains, and Diana shared tales of her adventures on Themyscira. They marveled at how different yet similar their lives were, both driven by a desire to make the world a better place.
"So, how have things been going at STAR Labs?" Diana wonders.
"It's been going well," Peter said as he took a drink. "Me and Pam have been working on speeding up the process of regenerating plant life by thousands of times faster, using this as a way of helping food production for both people and farmers to help the food industry."
"Sounds interesting," Diana commented. "Peter Parker, saving the world one day at a time."
Peter chuckled as he looked into her eyes. "With you by my side. Diana Prince and Peter Parker against the world."
As the two of them leaned in and went in for a kiss, time seemed to slow down. "Yeah, I know. I might have dropped you in at the wrong moment, didn't I? Well, you know who I am. Peter Parker, Spider-Man, was bitten by a radioactive spider. And you should know her. Princess Diana, Diana Prince, Wonder Woman, Warrior Amazon. Yeah. I don't even know how I landed someone like her. It just sorta happened. You don't believe me? Let me show you."
Five months ago, Peter Parker was deeply engrossed in his work at the STAR Labs. When he was not fighting crime as Spider-Man, he spent most of his time in the lab, which was his second home. He was working with his lifelong best friend, Pamela Isley, a brilliant botanist, and one of the most dedicated researchers at STAR Labs.
Pamela was intently watching a rare flower in a vase that she had been nurturing for weeks, patiently waiting for the results of her experiments. She had her long red hair up in a messy bun, held in place by two pencils. She wore a pair of reading glasses that she carefully adjusted so she could read the data on the clipboard.
Pamela was wearing a white lab coat over a long green dress that accentuated her curves. She loved to wear it, especially when Peter was around, hoping he would take notice of her. Although they had been best friends since childhood, Pamela had always been secretly in love with Peter. She was a beautiful woman, and many men had tried to win her heart, but none of them could ever match the connection she had with Peter.
Pamela had been harboring feelings for Peter for quite some time, but she was too afraid to confess her love to him. She feared that it would ruin their friendship, which was precious to her. Despite her attempts to conceal her emotions, she wished that Peter would recognize her beauty and intelligence and see her as more than just a friend. However, Peter seemed oblivious to her feelings and treated her like one of the guys, making it even harder for her to express her true feelings.
What Pamela didn't know was that Peter was also struggling with his own feelings for her. He had developed feelings for his best friend and didn't want to risk losing her by confessing his love. He valued their friendship above all else, but he couldn't help but feel drawn to her beauty and intelligence. He too was oblivious to Pamela's feelings, which only added to the complexity of the situation. Despite the mutual attraction between them, they both remained silent about their feelings, afraid of ruining what they already had.
"Looks like our results are coming in great," Pamela commented as she saw the results.
"Yeah, they're looking great," Peter commented as he walked up next to her. "Imagine the good we could do. End poverty. Save ecosystems."
"All because of you." Pam said with a warm smile.
"Don't make it sound like this is all me. You're also the reason we will save lives. You're one of the smartest people I know and with us sticking together like we always have we can do anything." Peter puts his hand on Pamela's shoulder which causes her to blush and clasp his hand. "You've always helped me since we were kids. Two peas in a pod right?"
Pamelia then began to blush as she turned away for a second. Then she took a deep breath as Peter turned around to write down some notes. She was finally going to take the leap and ask him out. "Peter?"
"Yeah?" Peter didn't turn to look, busy writing things down. "What's up, Pam?"
"Uh, I was just kinda wondering if...maybe you-" Pam was finally getting to it as Peter turned to face her. She was just about to ask it when Peter's phone went off. "You gotta get that?"
Peter wondered what Pam had to say, but then turned to see it was a message from his aunt who was working at FEAST. "Uh, I...I gotta go." He started to head for the exit. "Sorry. I'll be right back."
"Is it a Spider-Man emergency?" Pamela wondered.
"Uh, no, it's May. Seems she needs me at FEAST." Peter explained. "Sorry, it sounded like you needed to say something important, but..."
"No, it's okay, go." Pamela promised she was okay with it. "Go, hurry up."
Peter then started to leave the room and headed for the exit. But when he left, Pamela let out a disappointed sigh. How could he never have realized how much she liked him? Ever since high school, she'd seen Peter in a new light and loved him throughout it all. Yet all he ever saw in her was a friend. It pained her some days. She wanted to be something more to Peter. She wanted him to see her the same way she saw him.
Peter swung his way over towards the FEAST center. It was basically a homeless shelter that would supply a place to stay for those with nowhere to go. It's where May worked most of the day.
Peter swung in his outfit, which followed a blue and red color scheme. The body, head, outer arms, upper hip, and knee-high boots were red, while the inner arms, upper legs, and outer torso were matt blue. The colors were in a bright tone, especially among the red coloring. The eye lenses were black on the outline and white in the middle. They were also wide.
The spider insignia is small, fist-sized, and centered just above the chest. At the back, there is another spider insignia but instead of black, it's red and big. The web shooters are located in the wrists. The boots are also slightly below the knee, with black outlining covering them and the feet. The black outlining in particular resembles a spider's web, especially on the mask area and the torso. These outlines split the suit into rectangle segments, which are especially visible on the torso area, neck, and shoulders.
Making it to the roof of the FEAST Center, he made his way over to a bag of spare clothes he kept for emergencies.
Making his way into FEAST, he started to straighten his clothes out a bit. They looked too wrinkled to look like something he should be wearing out in public as is. He knew May was more than likely going to be found in the kitchen so he made a direct line there.
"Hey, May, I got your message," Peter said as he entered the kitchen. "It sounded urgent."
May seemed to be talking to someone else when Peter approached her. "Peter! So glad you could make it. That was pretty fast. Don't you work some time from here?"
"I... know shortcuts in this city," Peter explained his quick response. "So, what's going on?" That's when he came close enough to see who she was talking to and froze at who he saw. "Uh, hi."
"So you're Peter?" Diana said as she approached Peter. "Your aunt has told me so much about you."
"She has?" Peter asks. "Sorry, May, you wanna introduce us?"
"Peter, this is Diana. She's a curator at the museum, and has offered to donate a generous donation to the center."
"That's very thoughtful of you," Peter said as he shook Diana's hand. "Mind if I asked why?"
"I've always been fond of helping others in need," Diana explained.
Peter nodded as he saw she was genuine in wanting to help them. "Well, we will be sure to put it to good use."
May seemed to see something happening with how they were looking at one another. "You know, Peter's currently available."
Peter couldn't believe his aunt and groaned. "Come on, May." He then turned to Diana. "Sorry about her."
"No, it's okay." Diana chuckled.
Peter was going to respond when his phone alerted him to something. He saw it was Yuri, alerting him to a bank robbery in progress.
"Uh, sorry, May, I gotta get going," Peter said as he needed to get going back to the roof.
"He always in a rush?" Diana wonders.
"Oh, he's always running off somewhere you can count on that." May laughed.
Diana however found that a little suspicious and wondered what the man was hiding. "Sorry, Ms. Parker, but I have to get going."
"Oh, not a problem dear," May said as she left.
Diana sneaked her way upward towards the roof to see where Peter was sneaking off. When she mimicked his moves, she saw he was heading up to the roof and wondered what he was doing up there.
What she didn't expect was to peek out of the doorway and notice Peter changing back into his Spider-Man attire. She was shocked when she saw that this boy was an amazing hero who was risking his life on a daily basis. She was surprised that someone who had seen so much was as happy and helpful as he was. Peter then shot out a web and started to head off for something, and Diana was a little curious as to where he was going.
Opening the door all the way, she removed her shirt to reveal her Wonder Woman attire underneath the outfit. Once she was all set to go, she used her lasso to yank and follow after him, seeing where he was heading.
"Open the vault now!" An armed robber demanded. Peter then started to slowly descend from the ceiling and grabbed him from the back, causing him to shriek as Peter yanked them upward. "AH!"
"Hey, who's there?!" One of the other armed robbers asked, noticing one of their men was taken out.
Peter then dropped down in the middle of the room. "Hey, fellas!"
"It's Spider-Man!" One of the robbers cried, and all of them immediately opened fire on the hero.
"Spider-Man? Really? In New York? Stopping a crime?" Peter asked, leaping out of the way of several bullets and shooting several strands of webbing to hit them in the face, causing them to then groan and try to pull the webbing off of their faces.
Peter then leaped over the counters and then webbed two more robbers and yanked them together. That caused them both to slam into one another and then be knocked unconscious due to the attack.
"Freeze!" One of them cried, holding a gun to the head of a hostage. "Or I blow her brains out!"
Peter froze and knew he needed to do this carefully, or he could end up killing the hostage. It was a complete standstill, as Peter was preparing his web shooter so he could web the gun, and stop the attacker before he could shoot. But that was definitely more difficult than it seemed.
Then out of nowhere, a glowing lasso wrapped around the attacker's waist and he was then yanked upward, leaving the hostage and leaving Peter confused as he looked upward and wondered who it was. And what he saw was a sight to behold.
The one who came to his aid was a woman who was standing on the balcony of the second story. She wore a sleeveless top with a red section resembling her original outfit but with a blue section covering her chest. She wears matching navy blue undersleeves with fingerless gloves with a white star on the back of her hand. She now wears slightly longer briefs with three wide peerages-like flaps; one on either side and one at the front. The side flaps have white stars on them; all flaps have a white trim. Her boots are now blue as well and extend above her knees, with golden kneepads. In addition to her lasso, she carries a sword on her belt and a small round shield on her back.
"That's not very nice," Diana tells her captive.
"I-I am sorry!" He screamed.
"Apology accepted." Diana then dropped the man, causing him to fall and crash into the desk.
There were a few police sirens outside and Diana started to make her way out while Peter chased after her. He made his way outside and found her on the roof of the bank. Diana smiled as Peter came leaping onto the roof and landed in his usual pose.
"Thanks for the assist," Peter told her. "Aren't you that Wonder Woman character from the news?"
"Aren't you that Spider-Man character from the Bugle?" Diana replied as she looked back with a smug smile.
"Yeah, that's me," Peter confirmed with a laugh. "Uh, you don't really believe all that stuff they say about me, do you?"
"Don't worry, I saw how you handled yourself and protected those people," Diana assured him she understood. "I see you as a hero."
"Thanks," Peter said as he started to back away. "Now, sorry to say, but I have to get going."
"No worries. I bet your aunt is worried." Diana told him.
Peter froze when he then turned towards Diana in surprise, but that was also when he started to recognize her. "Diana Prince?" Then he smacked himself for not getting it. "Oh, my god. Princess Diana. Diana Prince. That...that's obvious when you think about it."
"Gotta say, I am impressed with all of that you seem to be able to accomplish." Diana complimented as she approached Peter. "A job, time with your aunt, and protecting the city you love? When do you ever have any free time?"
"I have free time." Peter scoffed and crossed his arms. "I take time to rest and heal...and I go out for drinks with Pam from time to time."
"That's not time off," Diana stated as she approached Peter and smiled. "How about this? I'll show you a real-time off."
Peter was a little confused when he finally put together she just asked him out. "Are you asking me out? Is this a trick? Some sort of a joke?"
Diana chuckled as she walked over and caressed his face. "Why would it be a joke? You are smart, strong, kind, and noble. I would love to go on a date with you."
Peter wasn't sure what to do anymore. "Uh... okay."
Diana smiled as she then turned around and touted off towards the edge of the building. "I'll see you at 7 at the FEAST."
Then Diana dropped off the roof and made her way through the city while Peter watched and whistled. "She is something."
Back to the current day, Diana and Peter reflected on their time together and how grateful they were to have found each other. Despite the chaos of their lives as heroes, they found solace in each other's company and the understanding that came from sharing similar burdens.
"I had a great time, Peter," Diana said as she strolled down the street with Peter's hand in hers.
"I always have a great time when I am in your presence," Peter said as he leaned in to kiss her.
Diana easily took the kiss and the two embraced one another. When they were kissing, Peter's phone went off alerting him of a crime. The two sighed as they were used to some of their date nights being interrupted by their other personas needing to be called upon.
Peter saw it was Yuri and that it was indeed a problem. "Yuri, what's up?"
"Hey, listen, we got some reports on the docks about some sort of strange activity," Yuri informed them. "I would send men down there to check this out, but if it turns out to be nothing..."
"Don't worry, we're on it," Peter said as he then hung up. He then turned to Diana and smiled. "Wanna check this out?"
Diana smiled as she started to unbutton her top to reveal her uniform underneath. "Let's go. I don't want to be spending the night wearing this."
"Then let's not disappoint my lady," Peter said as they made their way for the docks.
As they made their way towards the docks, Peter and his companion noticed that there was an unusual amount of activity going on. Upon closer inspection, they realized that a large number of crates were being loaded onto a waiting boat. The sight was quite confusing to the two of them, and they wondered what could be behind this sudden flurry of activity.
Peter, ever the keen observer, decided to use his lenses to zoom in on one of the crates, and he was shocked to see that it belonged to Kraven, a notorious villain. That meant that the men loading the crates were probably working for him as well. The fact that they were shipping out in such a hurry made Peter even more suspicious. It seemed like they were trying to leave New York behind, for some unknown reason.
"Kraven is leaving New York?" Peter was not entirely sure how to feel on that one. "Something is definitely wrong here."
"Then let's not waste any time," Diana said as she then went to grab her lasso. "You take the men on the boat, and I go for the men on the docks."
"Sounds like a plan." Peter agreed.
After discussing their plan, Peter and Diana split off to finish their respective tasks. Peter, being a skilled Spider-Man, used the shadows to his advantage and made use of the tight spaces on the boat that were loaded with numerous crates. He relied on his sharp senses and acrobatic skills to get half of the job done. His spider webs came in handy and made things ten times easier than it would have been.
On the other hand, Diana, with her Amazonian training, used her lasso to wrap around the hunters. She made sure that they couldn't call out to anyone else in the area. She was quick to take them down as they opened fire on her. Her training helped her to easily block the bullets by simply raising her hands. Diana's fighting skills were top-notch, and she made sure that the hunters wouldn't create any hindrances in their mission.
One hunter was left, and he was quick to try and run away. But then the lasso came out of nowhere and wrapped around his leg and was yanked backward. Peter came down aside Diana as she dragged the hunter back towards them and they were ready to question this man.
"Explain yourself now!" Diana demanded, the Lasso of Truth hard at work to get him to talk. "Who were these crates for?!"
"K...Kraven!" He squealed like a pig. "Kravenoff demanded we pack this gear and shift it to where he is."
"Where is he?" Peter wonders.
"Where was this boat heading?" Diana demanded an answer.
"G...Gotham City!" He squealed again.
Diana and Peter saw that was all the information they needed and knocked him out. "So...looks like we're heading for Gotham City."
"No, just me," Peter tells Diana. "We need someone here just in case this is some sort of a trick or something. Someone needs to protect the city while I am gone, and I wouldn't trust it with anyone else."
Diana nodded and saw he had a point. "Alright...I'll tell your aunt and work you caught the flu or something convincing."
"Good," Peter said as he quickly lifted his mask to peck her cheek. "Sorry. This isn't how I thought this night was gonna go."
"Just go. The sooner you deal with Kraven, the sooner you can get back." Diana tells him. "
Peter then started to walk off and made his way to the apartment to start packing. "Don't worry. It's only Gotham. What's the worst that could happen?"
The city of Gotham was enveloped in darkness as Bruce Wayne, the billionaire playboy, stood silently amidst the shadows. He was standing at the entrance of his Batcave, overlooking the waterfall that cascaded outside. The moonlight glinted off the water as he took purposeful strides towards the vault, which housed his array of high-tech gadgets and his iconic armor for Batman.
As he approached the vault, the heavy metal doors slid open with a deep rumble, revealing the impressive collection of weapons, tools, and armor that he would need for the night ahead. Bruce reached for his gloves and then began to suit up, placing each piece of his armor in place with precision. He reached for his cowl, pulling it over his head with a determined click. The cape cascaded behind him as he fastened the utility belt around his waist, each compartment holding essential tools for the night ahead.
He stepped into the segmented armor, each piece locking together with a faint hum as advanced technology powered the suit. The final piece, the bat symbol, was affixed to his chest, a symbol of fear for the criminals of Gotham.
Batman, now fully suited up, disappeared into the shadows, ready to protect his city once again. The night was dark, but he was the Dark Knight, and he was ready for whatever the night would bring.
As the moon hung low in the Gotham sky, a series of shadows danced across the abandoned docks. Peter swung gracefully through the air, his spider sense tingling as he landed silently on a rusted crane. He spotted some of Kraven's crates being unloaded from another boat that must have set sail before he and Diana reached the docks in New York. He squinted his lenses and knew if anyone had information on what was going on, it was likely them.
While he was stalking out his next move, Batman, perched on a nearby rooftop, observed the scene with vigilance. He was also there to figure out what Black Mask's men were doing when he also spotted someone else. He turned his binoculars from the offloading docks to the rusty crane where he spotted a figure stalking them.
The sound of footsteps echoed through the night, and a group of Black Mask's henchmen emerged from the darkness, armed and ready for anything.
Without a word, the two heroes sprang into action, their different styles blending seamlessly. Peter swung his way onto the roof and kicked open an air vent that he then used to crawl his way inside. Batman landed underneath the building and made his way down underneath the wooden surface.
"Drop it." One of the Black Mask men said as they dropped the crate they were carrying. "Tell Kravenoff, his things are where he requested." He then groaned, not realizing that Spider-Man crawled out of the vents and was sneaking around on the roof. "All of this for one guy?"
"Have you seen him? This Hunter guy, I mean."
"Yeah, a real piece of work. Usually works in New York. He made an exception for this little invitation."
Then Peter shot two webs to latch onto the ground, getting the Black Mask goons to look upward. Peter then came down and tackled one, knocking his head against the ground and knocking him out.
"And would someone like to tell me exactly what was so important that Gotham had to take one of my baddies?" Peter asked the men in the room. "I mean, Kraven is my guy. Get your own crazy psychopath. I thought Gotham was full of those."
"Shoot him!"
That was when the floor caved in and Peter was frozen in shock when he saw someone coming out of the darkness and into the moonlight. It was the Dark Knight. Someone whom Peter only considered to be a myth and a legend made up to scare criminals. He then got to work as Batman moved faster than even Peter's mind could comprehend as he grabbed the second guy over the head and then slammed him into the ground.
Batman growled as he then looked upward towards Peter who was still scared of the Dark Knight. "Wow. You...you are real. You're Batman."
Batman didn't respond as he approached the crate and opened it, seeing vials inside filled with poison. He wondered what Kraven needed these vials of poison for. He then stood back up and faced Peter.
"I... can't believe you're real," Peter whispered.
Batman just approached the man and stared him into his lenses. "Get the hell out of my city."
Peter didn't know what to say as Batman started to march off, but he finally found his voice again. "I will after I get Kraven out of it." Batman stopped to hear what he had to say. "He left New York to come here. Kraven's a-"
"I know who he is," Batman replied, knowing who Kraven was already. He then tapped a button on his wrist, summoning the Batplane. "I can handle him."
"Look, let me help," Peter asked as he approached Batman. "He's my bad guy, I know how he operates."
Batman turned to face him, reaching for his belt to grab his grapple gun. "I work alone."
And with that, the engines of the Batplane were heard and parked above the building. Then Batman shot out his grapple hook and then yanked to the jet as he then vanished from sight. Peter heard sirens approaching and knew he needed to leave the scene, knowing that he was going to help stop Kraven whether Batman wanted him to help or not.
While he was swinging away, there was a security camera that just happened to catch his escape and sent the footage to someone. Black Mask was watching the entire scene unfold and chuckled to himself.
"Hehe. So the spider thinks he can just mess with my plans. Well, he's going to learn. It's time to teach him a lesson. Let's see how he feels after I put a bounty on his head as well. I think there are definitely some dying to get a shot at not only Batman but also New York's Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."
