(An Englishman appearing similar to a Viking in chainmail and steel helmet takes his axe and chops down at an unseen opponent.)
Saxon Huskarl: The elite backbone of England's Anglo-Saxon army who kept an iron nerve and fought to the last man at Hastings.
(A Huskarl charges towards a Norman soldier. He brings his sword onto the invader's head slicing it vertically in two.)
vs.
(A man wearing chainmail, an iron helmet and shield takes his sword and swings at the camera.)
Iberian Caetrati: Iberia's famed sword and shield fighters whose deadly steel weapons made them feared opponents.
(A Caetrati is seen dueling with a Roman Legionary during Cannae. He parries a blow from the Roman before running him through with his gladius hispaniensis.)
WHO IS DEADLIEST?
To find out, we've assembled a team of world class fighters to test history's most lethal weapons. Using 21st century science, we'll see what happens when two warriors go toe to toe.
No rules. No safety. No mercy. It's a duel to the death to decide who is...THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
Last time, both warriors defeated their respective opponents in a hard fought battle...
(The Huskarl raises his axe high and brings it down onto the Byzantine soldier's head.)
...but now, we will bring both warriors back once again to see who will be our 'Deadliest Warrior'.
(The Caetrati watches as his Frankish opponent is set on fire and falls backwards down a cliff.)
Here in our elite fight club we have gathered doctors, medical scientists and weapons experts to test out the lethal arsenals wielded by each of our combatants to determine who would win a fight between two of history's deadliest warriors from both Antiquity and Middle Ages.

''Welcome back readers to another chapter of our season 3 back for blood!'' DeadAliveManiac declared proudly, ''Today we're starting off the generic warrior ancient bracket by bringing in two warriors from Antiquity and the medieval age to compete for the title of deadliest warrior. Those two being the Iberian Caetrati, the fierce sword and shield fighters who fought Rome alongside Hannibal Barca and on the other end is the Saxon Huskarl who served the English King.''
''This is a great match up since we're bringing in just swords, spears, axes and shields. These two warriors were hardwired for combat and fought against very powerful adversaries in their heyday.'' Zivon96 explained.
''These are two warriors who brought the nastiest weapons available to them and fought with such ferocity against their foes. I can't wait to see who takes the title in this fight.'' MKDemiGodzilla-Warrior said.
''In their debut battles they fought very tough opponents who almost bested them and now they can fight it out to ensure their dominance in the winner's bracket. Let's see which sword fighter reigns supreme.'' Rice Man concluded.
The Saxon comes armed with a savage arsenal he used to defend his kingdom against all threats.
Short Range: Anglo-Saxon Longsword
Mid-Range: Dane Axe
Long Range: Boar Spear
Special: Scramasax
The Ancient Iberian light infantry spilled Roman blood with a deadly assortment of Iron-Age weapons.
Short Range: Gladius Hispaniensis
Mid-Range: Soliferrum
Long Range: Falarica
Special: Falcata
When these two warriors fought their enemies up close they used two brutal swords that helped them slay many.
The team reviews the testing of the Anglo-Saxon Longsword and the Gladius Hispaniensis in previous episodes before they come to the their final decision and they seem very divided.
''I'm going with the Gladius Hispaniensis because it is made of a higher quality steel.'' DAM started off.
''Wrong, I'm going with the longsword, greater length and hits a lot harder.'' Zivon countered.
''It's a LONGsword compared to a Gladius and we've seen a similar comparison to this before with Viking versus Roman Centurion. The longer sword that hits harder wins.'' Demigod added.
''I have to agree with Zivon and Demigod, the Huskarl can keep the Caetrati at a distance and will cut him down before he gets close.'' Rice Man concluded.
In short range weapons, the edge goes to the Saxon Huskarl for his Anglo-Saxon Longsword.
For mid-range weapons, these two warriors brought with them two vastly different weapons they used to hack and impale their enemies.
The team reviews the testing of the Dane axe and the soliferrum in their previous appereances and it appears that they are heavily divided so let's see what they say.
''I'm going to give my edge to the soliferrum, it's lighter and has range capabilities.
''I find myself agreeing with you there DAM plus, the Huskarl's chainmail is going to get skewered along with the Huskarl himself.'' Zivon seconded.
''For me, I go with the Dane axe, sure the Huskarl's armor fails to protect him from the soliferrum but the axe is going to absolutely destroy the Iberian's armor and shield.'' Demigod countered.
''Same here Demigod, the Dane axe may not have ranged capabilities but at least the Huskarl isn't losing his weapon unlike the throwable soliferrum. I feel more safe with it.'' Rice Man concluded.
For mid-range weapons, both warriors are dead even.
For long range weapons, both warriors brought in two throwable impaling weapons that allowed them to rain down hell upon their enemies.
The team now reviews the testing of the boar spear and the falarica and it doesn't take long for them to come to an edge.
''The falarica takes it, it can set the Huskarl on fire nuff said.'' DAM said.
''I agree, the boar spear is just a spear with no special attributes while the falarica has an extra surprise for the Huskarl.'' Zivon seconded.
''It can literally set you on fire, what more is there to say?'' Demigod added.
''Even if the Huskarl blocks the falarica with his shield it will catch on fire and so will he. Edge to the falarica and the Iberian caetrati.'' Rice Man concluded.
In long range weapons, the edge goes to the Iberian Caetrati for his falarica.
For special weapons, these two warriors brought in two deadly sidearms to use alongside their powerful swords.
The team now reviews the testing of both the scramasax and the falcata in their previous episodes before the panel discuss which gets the edge.
''For me I'm gonna have to side with the falcata because it has the longer blade and is made of a superior metal.'' DAM started off.
''I find myself agreeing with you there plus, the Iberian is an excellent sword and shield fighter when pairing it with the shield.'' Zivon seconded.
''It's longer, made of a better metal and used in succession with the caetra shield makes it more deadly than the scramasax.'' Demigod added.
''While the scramasax is a deadly weapon in its own right, the falcata simply has the reach over it meaning the Iberian could cut the Huskarl to ribbons.'' Rice Man concluded.
In special weapons, the edge goes to the Iberian Caetrati for the falcata.
For armor, these two warriors wore to different but highly reliable suits of armor that shielded them from all attacks.
The team reviews the testing and durability of the armor of both warriors before they come to their decision so let's see what they say, boys?
''For me, I'm going with the Huskarl's armor, it's more advanced in terms of metals and while it falls to quite a few of the Iberian's weapons, it's still more advanced and he has a bigger shield.'' DAM started off.
''I agree, the Huskarl's axe will be the weapon the Iberian has the look out for, one hit even through that chainmail or even hitting the shield he's gonna feel it.'' Zivon seconded.
''The helmets in my mind are even, but everything else goes to the Huskarl.'' Demigod added.
''The soliferrum and falarica will easily pierce the hauberk, but every weapon the Huskarl has will make mincemeat of the Iberian's armor.'' Rice Man concluded.
In the armor category, the edge goes to the Saxon Huskarl.
Coming up, Metal Harbinger will review the x-factors and the battle to secure the title of deadliest warrior begins!

Welcome back to the Fight Club, here we reviewed the weapons used by two deadly ancient warriors to determine who is deadliest.
For short range weapons, the Anglo-Saxon longsword proved more deadly than the gladius hispaniensis.
''It's literally a longer sword and reach will be the game changer here.'' DAM explained.
Edge: Saxon Huskarl
For mid-range weapons, the differing but helpful uses of both the Dane axe and the soliferrum were deemed equal.
''One is very powerful up close but lacks at range while the other is powerful at range but lacking up close, it's a total wash.'' Zivon explained.
Edge: Even
For long range weapons, the added surprise of the falarica topped the simplicity of the boar spear.
''It sets you on fire when it pokes you, the boar spear does nothing special when it pokes you.'' Demigod explained.
Edge: Iberian Caetrati.
For special weapons, the falcata proved more deadly and lethal over the scramasax.
''Reach, Spanish steel, nuff said.'' Rice Man explained.
Edge: Iberian Caetrati.
And finally, for armor the more advanced metals the Huskarl has proved overall more protective.
''The chainmail hauberk is more advanced, the Huskarl's shield is bigger, he takes it easily.'' DAM explained.
Edge: Saxon Huskarl
And now our resident metalhead and computer wizz Metal Harbinger will review the x-factors of the warriors.
''Let's get this going'' exclaimed the wizz.
''For training the Huskarl had an 89 to the Iberian's 80 due to him being from an elite warrior society.''
''For ferocity the Iberian had a 93 to the Huskarl's 89.''
''For endurance the Iberian had a 91 to the Huskarl's 80.''
''For physicality the Huskarl had a 91 to the Iberian's 89.''
''For loyalty the Huskarl had a 94 and the Iberian will be rated a 92.''
''Lastly, for intimidation the Huskarl had a 90 and the Iberian will have an 85.''
Our team has completed the weapons review and x-factor assessment and Metal Harbinger will now run the simulator one-thousand times to determine our deadliest warrior.
Which warrior will claim the title?
''In the end, only one man will stand, so let's see who it is.'' Metal said hitting the button.

A lone Huskarl was seen walking along a bog near the coast of England, recently he and his fellow warriors have repelled an invasion from the Byzantine empire and after doing so the English King had a plan to do his own invasion of the mighty empire. However, rumors of a threat from Carthage put the Saxons on high alert.
This particular Huskarl was tasked by Harold Godwinson to scout the area after reports of some unknown warriors believed to be from Carthage was seen in the area. On his person he had his Dane axe on his back and two boar spears in his hands with his longsword strapped to his side and his shield on his back. Venturing deeper into the bog he finds a spot to put his two spears against a tree in case he wants to use them later.
Taking his shield and sword in each hand he continues walking forward until he heard rustling in the bushes several meters ahead. From out the bushes emerged another man who was also wearing chainmail armor and was carrying a spear of his own in each hand. The Huskarl had come across one of the warriors Hannibal had sent to scout England to pave way for the invasion force back home.
The two men eye each other and stared one another down for a bit before it would be the Iberian who attacked first. He takes his falarica and goes to toss it at the Saxon warrior who effortlessly dodges the projectile. However, he looked behind him and saw that the falarica had caught a bush on fire and the Saxon inwardly sighed in relief knowing that could've been him.
The Huskarl looks up to see another projectile, the soliferrum coming his way and the Huskarl raises his shield and blocks it just in time to avoid getting hit in the face. Lowering his shield to look at his opponent the Iberian was now dashing toward the Saxon with his falcata in hand and he goes to raise his shield but it felt awkward with the soliferrum embedded in the wooden surface.
The Huskarl was able to raise the shield enough so that he could block an overhead chop from the Iberian and the sword slices into the wood making the defensive tool even more awkward to use.
Knowing his shield was already out of the question the Huskarl roars as he summons his strength to shove the Iberian away with enough force to send the man staggering backward and fall on his ass. Taking the chance the Huskarl draws his sword and takes a swing at his smaller opponent.
The Saxon's sword strikes the Iberian in the helmet sending him completely to the ground and the Huskarl capitalizes by going to bring the sword down onto the Iberian's face only for the Iberian to take his caetra and blocks the blow. The Huskarl was undettered and continued to bring his sword down several times before the Iberian rolls aside and quickly gets up and brings his falcata down as hard as he could onto the Saxon's arm but the chainmail saves the limb from being chopped.
Feeling a bone break from the blow, the Saxon groans in pain before swinging his longsword and manages to hit the falcata out of the Iberian's hand. Sheathing his longsword the Huskarl goes for his axe and brings it down.
The Iberian raises his shield to defend against the blow but the massive weapon impacted his shield hard to where it had almost chops the shield in half. The force of the blow practically knocks the shield out of the Iberian's hands and he responds by taking out his gladius hispaniensis and chops the axe's head off before thrusting into the Huskarl's side as he was unable to defend himself.
The blade pierces through the chainmail and digs into the flesh causing the Huskarl to scream loudly in pain. The Iberian goes to try and force the blade deeper into his enemy's side but the Huskarl had the strength to grab the Iberian and shove him away as hard as he can. The Iberian stumbles backward and once again lands on his ass and he watches as the Saxon runs off into the woods.
Getting up he gives chase to his enemy and after several minutes of chasing his opponent down he walks into the bog where he had followed the footsteps the Huskarl had left behind and looks around to locate the Huskarl. He looks back and forth around the bog and saw nothing but rabbits hopping about. He then hears movement behind him and turning around he sees two boar spears flying his way and had no chance to react when the two spears strike him and his armor did nothing to protect him as he is knocked back from the force.
He cries out in pain as he slowly sits up and yanks the two spears out from where they pierced, his chest but thank Hannibal it wasn't so deep that it would've killed him. He slowly gets up on his feet despite the pain and hears yelling and sees his opponent charging at him with his longsword in hand. The two warrior then meet in a clash of swords as the sounds of their steel weapons clanging against each other echoes throughout the bog.
The Iberian would try to go in for a thrust but the Huskarl uses his longer blade to deflect the blow and swings horizontally hitting the Iberian right in the helmet sending the man into a dazed state. Taking the initiative the Saxon thrusts the longsword into the Iberian's gut making him cry in pain. However, using as much energy as he could and thrusts his gladius in response into his opponent's gut as well.
The two men groan in both pain and anger as they entered a test of strength to try and gain the upperhand and finish the fight. Both men felt their bodies weakening from the blood loss and knowing he had the advantage in size and strength, the Huskarl quickly shoots his head forward and butts the Iberian dazing him once more.
With his opponent stunned he swings at the Iberian's hand that had the gladius and severs it. The Iberian screams in shock and looks at his stump before the Huskarl pushes him against a tree and thrusts the longsword into his stomach and leaves the blade in the Iberian's body.
The chainmail failed to protect him and the longsword goes all the way through out his back.
The Iberian falls onto his knees and despite the pain he was in he looks up and the last thing he would see was the Huskarl taking out his scramasax and swings it as hard as he could at the Iberian's face slicing deep into it.
The face was nearly cut in half and watching the corpse fall into the bog the Saxon raises his bloodied scramasax into the air and shouts in victory.

Following an epic clash of the swords between two of the ancient world's deadliest warriors it would be the Saxon Huskarl who wins with 54.9% compared to the Iberian Caetrati's 45.1%. It was largely thanks to his size advantage and his more technologically advanced weapons that guided him to victory.
''The Huskarl was the winner because despite the amazing skills the Iberian possessed in sword and shield fighting, he was able to chop his competition down to size thanks to his powerful Dane axe.'' DAM explained.
His larger shield allowed him to protect more of his body compared to the puny caetra shield the Iberian had leaving him more exposed to weapons like the axe. The Iberian really only had the advantage was long range.'' Zivon seconded.
''The Huskarl was simply too much for even the well trained Iberian. If you're limited to a long range advantage that is gonna cost you up close.'' Demigod added.
''One major difference between these two was that the Huskarl was an elite soldier on par with the Knights, the Spartans and Samurai and his much harder hitting weapons. The Huskarl is season 3's deadliest ancient warrior.'' Rice Man concluded.
(The victorious Huskarl is seen walking out of the bog after patching himself up. With the Iberian's falcata in hand he will warn Harold of the impending threat from Carthage and after repelling the Byzantine empire he knows Carthage won't be much of a problem.)

Next time on back for blood, we move on to the modern bracket when two groups of expert marksman come forth for the title of deadliest black powder warrior.
English Musketeers: Parliamentarian England's mass firing infantry whose unmatched marksmanship battered their enemies with bullets.
vs.
Swedish Caroleans: Fanatical, but disciplined soldiers of King Charles XII who stuck by his side until the Swedish empire's end.
WHO IS DEADLIEST?!
A/N: I was originally planning on having the Ashigaru take on the Swiss Guard but decided against it after realizing it could've been a curbstomp in favor of the Swiss but I could be wrong so we're moving onward to the English Musketeers taking on the Swedish Caroleans. I hope you all had a good christmas!
