Chapter 511 Hot Business

As the Gravity Falls gang and their allies were dealing with thieves, crazed assassins, a treacherous lizard monster, pirates, and monster transformations a few other important events were happening around the Underground.
The Sorrow, Imammura and the Elemental mask, Wa-Wa had made it to the mainland of Waterfall and were in the process of making a plan for revenge against the heroes that had ruined the New Gods' plans, when a giant wall of earth sprung up blocking the two from the water. Then Drill Knight appeared along with Rok-Ko, Lo-Lo, Spore Knight, Scrap Knight, Hive Knight, and Fleck surrounding Imammura and Wa-Wa.
"Who are you and what is the meaning of this?" Demanded Imammura.
"I am Drill Knight leader of the Hexcavators and I have come for the Elemental mask in your procession. Simply surrender it to me and no harm shall come to you. You have my word." Said Drill Knight.
"You guys both chose to share your power with this guy?" Asked Wa-Wa looking at Rok-Ko and Lo-Lo.
"I did." Said Rok-Ko.
"Then he beat the guy I was sharing my power with and claimed me as his. Have to give Drill Knight points for determination and ambition." Said Lo-Lo.
"Why do you want the mask I have?" Asked Imammura.
"To complete the set and gain incredible power. Now are you going to hand it over?" Said Drill Knight.
"Never!" Yelled Imammura as she fired a blast of water at Drill Knight.
Drill Knight merely raised his hand and fired a blast of wind at the water disbursing it with ease. Imammura gritted her teeth in frustration as she realized she hadn't fully recovered and regained her strength. She needed to escape to find some place low to recover, but Drill Knight rushed at her with a tornado drill of wind that slammed her against the earth wall. Some tendrils of earth shot out of the wall and wrapped around Imammura immobilized her. Drill Knight's hand shot out grabbed Wa-Wa and slapped him onto his visor and claimed the Elemental's power as his own.
"Three down. Now all that's left is the Elemental mask of fire, Py-Ro." Said Drill Knight.
"What are you going to do with her?" Asked Hive Knight indicating Imammura.
"Don't know, maybe I'll just test my new powers on her and destroy her." Said Drill Knight.
"Destroy her?" Asked Spore Knight looking a little uncomfortable.
"Yep. Have to make a example out of this woman for refusing to hand the mask over. Her remains will send a nice message to anyone who try's to mess with me." Said Drill Knight.
The Hexcavators exchanged nervous and uncomfortable looks. Ever since Drill Knight had got the power of the Elemental masks, he had become far more violent then he had before. The Hexcavators were thieves and violence did pop up a fair bit in their line of work, but the kind of violence Drill Knight was talking about was rather dark and really unnecessary.
"Is that really necessary?" Asked Hive Knight.
"Yeah. We already beat and robed her." Said Scrap Knight.
"Why not simply let her go and she can go spread the word about how strong and dangerous you are." Said Spore Knight.
"And give her a chance to come back for revenge? I don't think so. Now let's have some fun." Said Drill Knight as he advanced towards Imammura.
Imammura glared at Drill Knight as he raised both his fist with bits of rock, water, and wind dancing around his drills ready to strike. Drill Knight reared his arms back to attack Imammura, when a chainsaw suddenly busted out of the wall next to her and forced Drill Knight to leap back in surprise. Imammura watched in surprised as the chainsaw cut through the earth wall to reveal the Sorrow, Waldo. The Hexcavators watched as Waldo stepped through the hole he made and then he used his chainsaw to free Imammura.
"Looks like I just saved you from the fryer." Said Waldo as he and Imammura stood side-by-side.
"I appreciate the assist Waldo, but I'm afraid even if the two of us worked together against this fool and his mob, we are still outmatched. Retreat is our only option." Said Imammura.
"Guess will just have to wait for a rematch." Said Waldo.
Imammura quickly reached out to the water with her powers and brought a large wave crashing down on the scene. Drill Knight quickly created a earth dome around himself and the Hexcavators to keep them all protected. After the wave hit Drill Knight removed the done and saw that the two Sorrows were gone.
"Oh well, we have other fish to fry and treasures to claim. Come along everyone, we're heading to Hotland. I sense Py-Ro is there." Said Drill Knight.
The Hexcavators followed their leader away from the scene and in the direction of Hotland.
In another part of Waterfall, the X-Ship was docked behind some large rocks. After Crump had successfully stolen the Crystal Star from the Vault of Valefar, he had instructed the crew to stay hidden and keep an eye on the entrance to the vault. Crump believed that Valefar would be super angry at him and the crew of individuals lead by Magica, so mad that he would leave the vault himself and chase after the thieves leaving the treasure less secure and ready to be plundered. The crew was excited at the prospect of treasure and were thrilled by the sight of Valefar leaving the vault. They only had a couple of Elite X-Nauts leading them, but they felt confident enough to take on whatever security remained and rob the vault of it's treasure.
Unbeknownst to the crew of the X-Ship they were being watched by a thief named Nabbit. Nabbit was a purple rabbit with round eyes, long ears, and black limbs. He wears a white handkerchief depicting a drawing of a large mouth with sharpened teeth, white gloves, and orange shoes.
Nabbit had been spying on both the Vault of Valefar and the X-Ship and he wanted the treasure to himself. He wasn't foolish enough to tackle the crew of the X-Ship on his own once they had the treasure, so he made a anonymous call to the Legion of Light reporting the X-Naut activity to them. After sending the call Nabbit went about contacting some other thieves he knew, he could help him get his hands on the treasure, since it would be too big for more then one thief to carry. Those thieves being Popple and Croco, who were more then happy to help with the upcoming job.
The Legion of Light got the call, but Luminous was more focused on getting to Hotland to get the aid and alliance of both Hoaxe and the Mantis Lord to aid him in destroying Spirit's forces and freeing the Radiance. Luminous decided to head onwards to Hotland, but left a few of his elites to deal with the X-Ship. He left Cedric, Prism Knight, Six, and Ruxxtin's staff, who simply wanted to be called Staff behind to deal with the X-Nauts. The foursome weren't exactly happy to be left behind to deal with a larger enemy force, but Luminous simply handed a bag of money to Cedric and advised him if he and the squad needed help simply go to Roland or bribe some locals to aid them against the crew of X-Nauts, before he and the rest of the Legion of Light headed out to Hotland.
In Hotland, Meduzi, Pedro, Treasure Knight, General Sheep, and General Pig had returned to Jordan's expedition crew and Blockner's mercenary crew, along with Magica, Morbidia, Gateaux, and Natasha. Treasure Knight filled Jordan and the others about forming an alliance with Magica and her group as well as the successful raid on the Vault of Valefar getting the treasure map revealing multiple treasures scattered around the Underground. Jordan was very pleased by this news as he began to use his magic to help Magica get through the protective hexes on it, so it could be properly read.
"We hit the jackpot!" Said Jordan as the details of the map slowly started to become visible.
"There will be no jackpot! If anyone is going to claim any of the treasure in the Underground, it's going to be me!" Said Valefar as he appeared hovering over the group glaring down at them.
"The dang demon found us!" Yelled General Sheep.
"We ain't handing the map back! We stole it fair and square!" Said General Pig.
"Come at us and you'll lose more then just your treasure." Said Treasure Knight.
"You took me by surprise last time, but this time you don't have my gold and treasure to use against me." Said Valefar as he snapped his fingers.
A huge swarm of Penny Bats swooped in from above and surrounded the treasure hunters and mercenaries, along with a few dozen Gnorcs armed with swords and muskets, and a Golden Golems. The army of money creatures charged forward and began fighting Jordan and Blockner's group. Shovel Knight and Black Knight struck at Gnorcs with their shovels, Shield Knight threw her shield at some Penny Bats, Insecto Knight leaped in the air and shrunk down striking one Penny Bat after another, Plague Knight threw bombs at the Golden Golems, Mole Knight struck down Gnorcs with his claws, Pollution struck Gnorcs with exploding balls of slime, Specter Knight struck at a Golden Golem with his scythe, Tinker Knight threw wrench sat Penny Bats, General Rabbit threw exploding cards at some Golden Golems, the six fairies and the dozen bugbears worked together to take down Gnorcs, Blockner, Meduzi, Pedro, Gatling Gull, Buffammo, and Gungamesh fired their guns and took out several Penny Bats, Gnorcs and Golden Golems.
Valefar ignored the majority of the group and focused his attention on Magica, Morbidia, Gateaux, Natasha, Treasure Knight, General Pig, and General Sheep since he had a score to settle with them. He also focused on Jordan since he could sense a lot of magic power from the fairy. Valefar made himself giant size and smashed his giant fists downwards striking the ground and sending a shockwave that kicked up a lot of sand covering the area and temporarily blinding everyone present. The demon then turned to his normal size and flew through the cloud of sand to attack Magica, who held the map. Magica sensed that the demon would come after her and quickly created a shield around herself. Valefar struck the shield and sent Magica skidding back.
"Give me my map!" Yelled Valefar as he fired balls of golden energy that struck the shield and exploded.
"Never!" Yelled Magica as cracks appeared in her shield.
Treasure Knight came to Magica's aid and fired his anchor striking Valefar in the head and knocking him away. Valefar recovered and threw a large ball of golden energy at Treasure Knight forcing him to dodge out of the way to avoid getting hit. Valefar summoned a swarm of Penny Bats and they flew through the area confusing everyone. The demon took this opportunity to attack Magica again breaking her shield and snatching the map from her hands before taking flight into the air.
"Now watch as I memorize this map and it's treasure locations, before I destroy it!" Declared Valefar before he ripped the map in half!
"No!" Yelled Jordan.
Valefar grind as he prepared to rip the map up some more, when a large fireball flew through the air and struck Valefar from behind exploding and sending the demon crashing to the ground.
"Point Flame Face!" Said Flame Face as he danced onto the scene with Py-Ro.
"The map pieces!" Yelled Treasure Knight as the map pieces flew from Valefar's hands on a gust of wind.
Magica quickly summoned one of her shadows to grab one piece of the map, but the other blew away from the scene. The party collectively cursed under their breath, before turning their attention to the down form of Valefar.
"Oh...my...money!" Groaned Valefar.
"Payday is over demon." Said Magica as she and Jordan fired a blast of magical energy at the demon.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaa!" Screamed Valefar before he exploded to bits.
The Penny Bats, Gnors, and Golden Golems exploded into money and treasure, which Treasure Knight and the others started to help themselves to.
"Well at least we got a payday and half a map at least." Said Gateaux.
"And that demon won't be bothering anyone ever again." Said Shovel Knight.
"Would have preferred a whole map, but I guess will make do with what we got." Said Jordan before he and Magica went back to removing the protection hexes on it.
Blockner and the others went back to trying to free the Nuclear Throne from it's prison.
The other half of the map flew through the air for a few miles, until it got sucked up by a small dust tornado. Now dust tornadoes were common in Hotland, but this particular dust tornado was conjured up by a Rabbid monster named Sandy. Sandy had white fur, had sand coated around his lower half that made it look like pants as he stood atop the dust tornado, and he wore a helmet made of rocks with some small cactuses on the top.
The map spun around the dust tornado, until it reach the top getting Sandy's attention. He plucked the strange paper and examined it, but couldn't really tell what it was, so he decided to take it to the Colosseum of Fools to see if any the people there could figure it out. Sandy made his way to the Colosseum to find out what the paper was as well as meet up with his twin brother Blizzy to compete in the Sibling Showdown tournament.
The day before the Gravity Falls gang and their allies split up.
Chi, Kai, Nyx, Ying, Samantha, Alcor, Elise all arrived at the Colosseum of Fools. Due to the hot weather and desert environment Chi had decided that she and the other needed to change their outfits for traveling. Chi now sported a pink shirt and western themed skirt, along with a cowgirl hat, brown vest, and pink cowgirl boots, Kai wore a black western outfit with a black hat, Nyx wore a purple western outfit, Ying wore a tiny cowboy hat, Elise wore a blue western outfit, Samantha wore a brown cowgirl hat on her head, and Alcor just remained in his regular outfit.
The little group explored the Colosseum and asked the locals and fan about the current tournaments and if anyone had any information regarding Horror's Hand. There was no information about Horror's Hand but there was a fair amount of info about the tournaments and all the people fighting in them. Chi and the others were a little disappointed about finding no leads to Horror's Hand, but decided to stay and watch the fights. They then met Hoaxe's magician servant Taranza.
Taranza was a, young, spider-like creature. He had brown skin and two orange horns with brown rings and yellow tips, as well as shiny, silver, curvy hair, he also had two orange fangs protruding from his upper lip, which was lined in white. On the front Taranza's head, he had two orange-yellow eyes in his hair and two white eyes with a slight purple glow on his face, along with four more orange-yellow eyes on the back of his head. He wore a crimson scarf and a jagged, dark green cape with orange lining in a spider-web pattern. The dark green clothing on his body had two silver buttons on its front and crimson circle designs on both sides. Taranza also had a crimson stinger-like appendage on his bottom and six disembodied hands with white and orange gloves. He also got around by floating.
"Greetings and welcome to the Colosseum of Fools! I am Taranza the royal magician and servant to King Hoaxe. Is there anything I can help you with?" Said Taranza.
"Do you know anything about Horror's Hand?" Asked Alcor.
"Just the story behind it nothing more I'm afraid." Said Taranza in a apologetic manner.
"That's ok." Said Nyx.
"So Taranza, are there any VIP seats we can get hooked up for with for the tournament?" Asked Chi.
"I believe there are a few VIP seats still available, though they are expensive." Said Taranza.
"We're happy to pay, money is no problem." Said Chi producing a small bag of gold.
"Oh marvelous! We thank you for your patronage. I'll be sure to give you some really good seats and access to our fine food and beverage facilities." Said Taranza as he took the bag of money and gave Chi's group seven armbands.
Taranza then lead the little group to a nicer part of the colosseum where the private boxes were. Chi and her friends headed into the box and were impressed by the comfortable seats and view it provided.
"This is really nice. Thanks Taranza." Said Samantha.
"You are most welcome." Said Taranza.
At that moment Hoaxe and a few of his guards arrived on the scene.
"Taranza report. Have the letters and advertisements been delivered to all the Underground?" Said Hoaxe.
"They have my lord." Said Taranza.
"Have all the security measures been put around the trophy for the tournament?" Asked Taranza.
"The first layers have been put into place, I hadn't gotten around to the others yet." Said Taranza.
"And why is that?" Asked Hoaxe looking a little annoyed.
"Well the charms and ward take time, plus...you did want me examine and remove the hexes from that piece of map paper map that one fighter brought to make it readable...and to fill in the VIP seats." Said Taranza looking a little nervous.
Hoaxe glared at Taranza then cuffed him on the top of the head making the spider creature yelp in pain.
"No excuse! That trophy is a prized possession, that will be given to the winner of the tournament! Spirit wants it and I know her minions will try to steal it! A theft of an item like that would make me look like a weak fool! I can not allow that to happen! Now go put in all the security measures immediately!" Said Hoaxe.
"Yes...master!" Said Taranza.
Hoaxe and his troops marched off and Samantha and Alcor went over to Taranza.
"Man your boss is a jerk!" Said Samantha.
"Oh...he's just stressed out. There's a lot on his mind and there is a group of people who would indeed try to steal the trophy we have for the tournament." Said Taranza.
"Well he shouldn't treat you like that. It sounds like you have a lot of jobs to do." Said Alcor.
"I do, but it's a living. One the security measures are made all will be alright." Said Taranza before floating off.
Samantha and Alcor watched Taranza leave, before joining Chi and the others in the box.
In another part of the coliseum, Jota and the Axem Rangers were having a meeting with Mr. Dark, Doopliss, Dark Corvo, Beldam, and Marilyn to discuss both the tournament, the retrieval of the Crystal Star, and the prevention of the Legion of Light forming an alliance with Hoaxe and his forces.
"I think we need to have another one of our fighters enter the tournament to win the Crystal Star." Said Jota.
"Who did you have in mind?" Asked Mr. Dark.
"I was thinking of entering myself into the tournament. I am a good fighter and Hoaxe and the crowd would love to see someone like me in the tournament. Between me and Axem Black our victory will be assured." Said Jota.
"That would increase our chances of winning the star. Not to mention it will have Hoaxe and the crowd distracted encase we decide to just steal the star." Said Mr. Dark.
Beldam silently thought and fumed to herself about her current situation and standing within Spirit's forces. It was because of Vivian's betrayal that she and Marilyn had been demoted and had to take orders from Mr. Dark. Beldam needed a way to win back Spirit's favor and show her that the Shadow Sirens were very useful to her. She then remembered the Sibling Showdown and the award to the winner and immediately knew what to do.
"I and my sister, Marilyn would like to compete in the Sibling Showdown tournament to help provide a distraction and to try and win the wish for Spirit." Said Beldam getting everyone's attention.
"That's very bold and honorable of you, Beldam. Do you believe you and your sister can win that tournament?" Said Mr. Dark.
"We will win! Our sisterhood is strong! We shall prove ourselves to Spirit and get our honor back! You can count on that!" Said Beldam.
"Very well, you may go both enter the Sibling Showdown Tournament. It matters not if you manage to win or lose, our objective will remain the same." Said Mr. Dark.
"Thank you!" Said Beldam with a bow.
The meeting broke up as Jota, Beldam, and Marilyn went to sign up for their respective tournaments. Beldam made plans to take stalk at the other sibling pairs in the Sibling Showdown and try to figure out who would make a good ally to help win the tournament.
Hoaxe retired to his private quarters, where he looked at a large metallic mirror shaped like a polygon. He looked into the mirror and saw two gleaming yellow eyes looking back at him.
"The final tournaments contestants are arriving for both tournament and I already sent invites to the various factions offering them rewards for simply agreeing to compete." Said Hoaxe to the being known as Polygon Man.
"Excellent Hoaxe. These tournaments will be the stuff of legends. The Underground will talk about them for several years and how you hosted such great events." Said Polygon Man.
"Thank you." Said Hoaxe.
"My powers sense that our final fighters for both tournaments will soon arrive and then the games will begin." Said Polygon Man.
"I really look forward to them." Said Hoaxe with a bit of glee.
Present Day.
Dipper, Pacifica, Soos, Ford, Giffany, Finn, Fern, Jake, Gata, BMO, Sans, Papyrus, Heckapoo, Hunter Wizard, Vivian, two Wizard Cops, Viper, Quote, Ser Manuel, Sly, Sheo, Hornet, Loke, and Brain Wiz made their way through a tunnel connecting Waterfall and Hotland. Dipper was adjusting to his four new deer legs and Ford was supporting him and giving him encouragements, while Giffany helped and supported Pacifica with her new snake tail, which she was trying to adjust to.
Pacifica had thought about summoning Cancer and have him cut and get rid of the snakes that now severed as her hair, but Hunter Wizard said that would be a bad idea, due to the snakes possibly having blood in them that would bleed out weakening Pacifica and there was the possibility that they would simply grow back over time. This annoyed Pacifica, but she saw Hunter Wizard's wisdom and logic. As they traveled Pacifica asked Hunter Wizard more about Angel Magic.
"Well Huntress Wizard told you the main thing Angel Magic was known for that made it dangerous and infamous, but there are some elements that aren't so dangerous and make it unique." Said Hunter Wizard.
"Like what?" Asked Pacifica.
"Well there is the ability to sprout angel wings that allow the user to fly and in some cases the user is able to shoot razor sharp feathers. There's also the ability to use holy light to light up darkness or shot beams of light like lasers." Said Hunter Wizard.
"Sounds impressive." Said Pacifica.
"So what's the deal with the sunlight in Hotland? We're underground so how can there be sunlight?" Asked Gata.
"The sunlight is light emitted by an artificial sun that was created by Gaster long ago. Gaster gathered up a lot of crystals and crafted them together with some technology to create a sun to light up Hotland to help grow crops and other plants. It works like a regular sun going across Hotland and then turning off for the night." Said Sans.
"Most impressive." Said Gata.
"Are there any other artificial suns like that?" Asked Ford.
"A few smaller ones scattered about the Underground for various uses. Asgore had a artificial sun installed over the Royal Garden for his flowers and other plants." Said Sans.
The group then exited the tunnel and came across the wide desert planes of Hotland.
"So now what?" Asked Heckapoo.
"Undyne said she contacted Starlo and the Feisty Four to come meet us and lead us to the Colosseum." Said Finn.
The team waited for a few minutes taking in the scenery, when they saw five individuals come their way, who must have been Starlo and his team.
Starlo was a humanoid monster, with yellow skin, with a star-like appendages on his head with teal patterns on them. He wore a brown poncho with teal stripes with a sheriff badge on it; a dark brown ten-gallon hat; brown pants, and black boots with spurs. When Starlo got closer and looked up, he revealed he was wearing light blue-tinted glasses. Starlo carried a silver revolver.
"Howdy y'all. I'm Sheriff Starlo and welcome to Hotland. These are the rest of the Feisty Five. Ed, Moray, Ace, and Mooch." Said Starlo.
Ed was a large, pink ogre-like monster. He had a circular body and wears a fancy tuxedo-esque outfit, with the shirt being sleeveless. Ed's face had large bushy eyebrows, as well as a single square tooth sticking out his mouth upwards.
Moray was a blue, reptilian humanoid monster with fish elements. She wore a beret and musketeer-like armor. Moray's eyes were covered up by her blue hair, which was swept to the side.
Ace was a grey humanoid monster, donning a fancy tuxedo and a top hat. His facial features were obscured by a shadow being casted from his top hat that covered a majority of his face, with the exception of his left eye.
Mooch was a grey squirrel monster with purple hair. She wore a large green hat with holes for her ears to pop out of, as well as a green jacket with a purple shirt. Additionally, she wore a green scarf that slightly obscures her mouth.
Introductions were made with the groups and Feen asked a question.
"So why exactly are you called the Feisty Five?"
"Feisty is actually a acronym we came up with that best describes our little group. Fearlessness, Excellence, Intuition, Sneakiness, Toughness, Youthfulness, and Justice." Said Starlo.
"There's no J in Feisty." Said Gata.
"The J is silent." Said Mooch.
"Now that introductions have been made let's get you folk to the Colosseum of Fools and get y'all signed up for the tournaments." Said Starlo.
The group headed out with their new guides and eventually arrived at the Colosseum. Now they just had to sign up for the tournaments and win.
