Despite the pain now radiating worse, Seto decided to forgo the doctor and go straight to talk to Yami.

Due to what happened with the kids and having his power stolen Yami had forgotten all about the fact that he and Yugi were supposed to do a final spell to make the magic rocks work. Instead he went to bed early but was unable to sleep. He decided to just stay up for a while and read some of the spellbooks Yugi made, when he heard a knock on his door. He frowned wondering who it could be this time of night. The kids were passed out in their beds. Panic rose up in him fearing something happened to the children; they had assigned a maid for each kid to stay in the room with them and alert Seto or Yami if there were any changes in their condition. He raced to the door and opened it to find Seto standing there pinching his nose telling Yami he obviously had a major headache. Still that didn't mean this wasn't due to hearing something about the children.

"Are you okay Seto, what about the kids?"

"I assume they're fine. They were when we left them."

Yami shook his head as Seto had intentionally avoided the first question. He assumed then that the kids were hopefully fine. "You want me to help you with your headache?"

"No, you'll only use magic."

"No I won't. Besides you know my magic isn't completely restored. Come on, I can make you feel better." Yami then pulled Seto into his room and shutting the door behind them, he led Seto to sit in one of the chairs in the bedroom seating area. Then he started to massage Seto's temples using just a touch of magic. Not a lot or enough that Seto could tell, just enough to help Seto feel more relaxed. He was thankful Seto didn't do like Mokuba and made him promise not to use magic. While he told Seto the truth he was still recovering and he could have done this without magic he had in the past. But it took far longer to do it without magic. He'd recovered enough to do this much.

After a minute or two Seto was very relaxed, "Wow, that usually takes longer." Then he eyed Yami suspiciously, "You sure you didn't use magic?"

Yami just smiled and said, "Your headache must have been worse than you think, it didn't take any longer than normal." He lied.

Seto still wasn't convinced Yami didn't use magic but then again on the other hand he knew Yami was also right on the fact that his headache had been pretty bad so it was entirely possible that he was mistaken on the time it took.

"So, Seto, were you just coming to get me to fix your headache or was there something else you wanted?"

It took Seto a moment to regain his senses, "Oh no I was going to go see that new doctor and see about some aspirin when I ran into trouble."

"What kind of trouble?" Yami asked, pulling another chair closer to face Seto.

"It seems for some reason Mahaado brought his spell caster here."

Yami blinked in surprise, "I wouldn't have thought Mahaado would have even had or had need of a special spell caster."

Seto sighed, "All I know is I caught him trying to rape Asana."

"What?! He was trying to rape her?"

"Yes and though Mahaado's Assistant Dylan and then Mahaado himself both deny it this spell caster made reference to the fact that rape is condoned at the minimum the castle if not all of the Star Kingdom."

"Are you sure Seto? That's a serious allegation."

"It's not exactly something I plan to make public only alerting a few maids to what has happened and they can do the rest. As for am I sure of what I heard, when the bastard tells me it's done all the time and then Dylan himself seemingly not to really care to ask if Asana was okay if he'd hurt her or anything and seemed blasé about it and having the attitude of 'oh yeah he does this all the time' type attitude. Then Dylan, not exactly denying it, when the guy tells Dylan that Asana is his type; he didn't exactly look like he wanted to reject the idea, only doing so as they were not in their own kingdom. It's not what was said, it was the attitude shown. Then Mahaado shows up and says that the man tried to rape a woman in another kingdom just apparently not their castle since he was only reprimanded and not punished like he was this time. So there's no allegation to it! It's a fact!"

"Wow, I guess I'll need to put a protection spell or something on the necklace you gave Maura at the fair. This way if she ever decides to go over there to visit she'll be safe."

"I don't think you'll have to worry about her. She is their queen's sister and they wouldn't want to incur her wrath or their kings by touching her."

"Well yeah, that's true. Even still I think I'll do it anyway."

"Well regardless I did learn something very interesting from all this."

"What seeing a girl nearly raped was interesting?"

"Don't be stupid! It seems that the trauma from it triggered in her the same response Mokuba often gets at times like that."

"What do you mean, what happened?"

"That man that Mokuba mentioned raped Noah. It seems his name is Hermàn and that when Asana was about 7 he raped her. Then she decided she didn't want anything more to do with him she ran away and stayed away when he was around and now subconsciously blames herself for his turning to Noah and then Noah to Mokuba."

Yami sighed, "She was a child that saw a way to escape and took it. She was smart and she shouldn't blame herself for something she couldn't control. However she should have told her mother though."

"Well she didn't, in fact she never said a word to anyone until Noah told his mother what the bastard was doing to him."

"Wait, didn't Mokuba tell us once that she stood up for Noah."

"Yes and now she confirms that she not only stood up for Noah but finally told what he did."

"Now I'm really wondering what kind of monster she really is. She treats Noah like royalty except when it comes to this man. Perhaps their mother handed Asana to this man and that was the real reason she never told."

"Mmmm…Well that's not what she indicated but I suppose being so young she might not remember everything. But I agree with you on the fact that this man and that woman are both monsters. I would still love to know what power he held or possibly still holds over her that allows her to hand over her son, whom I'm wondering if it is her son to this man."

"You've seen the way she treats Noah. There's no way he's not her son."

"Not according to my research. After she dropped the bomb on Asana not being hers got me to thinking. I did a little digging and found she did have a child."

"See…what did I tell you!"

Seto shook his head, "No it was a girl named Marine seven years before Noah. There are no birth or adoption records after that for her. I did find out an interesting tidbit though, it seems she had an older sister."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"She was briefly married and had a child, a boy named Noah. However no father was listed so she either cheated on her husband and didn't know who the father was or knew but didn't want her husband to know. The death certificate says she died in childbirth; however the date on Noah's birth certificate indicates he'd been 6 months old when she died."

"You honestly can't think she killed her own sister for Noah, can you?"

"I don't know what to tell you. All I know is that her sister's recorded death and Noah's birth don't match. But that doesn't prove anything. The witch said it herself she has friends, that judge friend of hers that signed that paper for her trying to get custody of Mokuba."

"Mmm…true she could have had the coroner agree to change the cause of death. But why? I mean even if it was suicide, it obviously wasn't to spare Noah the pain of learning about this. Especially since it's obvious she's never told him he's not hers. Wait, how did you find all of this out and how long have you been sitting on this information?"

Seto shrugged, "Being king does have its perks you know."

"You forced some judge to give you a court order for this info?"

Seto smirked, "Who said anything about going to a judge? Why go to that much trouble when you can just waltz into the records office and ask to take a look around, maybe glance over some files. They fall all over themselves to help you. They never once question why you want the info. Besides, I looked up a lot of people, not just Mokuba's stepmother. It'd have looked suspicious if I did."

"You're avoiding the question of how long you've had this info?"

Seto rolled his eyes, "When I went to town to meet Princess Jasmine. I had time to kill before she got there, so I went to the records office, needless to say the owner knew who I was without question. Then by the time I finished she still hadn't arrived, so I went to sensei's place and the sign on the door of the dojo said he was out of town. So then I did my shopping and by the time I finished with it she showed up."

"Why are you just now telling me?"

"Actually I meant to tell you that night but with the excitement of Christmas and Maura's family showing up it slipped my mind."

During their date Shizuka couldn't wait. They were having a night in due to the snow. She made tea and poured just a little forget potion in his drink. She was afraid to do more than a spoonful. She also worried about possibly adding any love potion. She decided to wait on that for now. Now she'd concentrate on getting him to forget her negative traits and hopefully Mokuba as well.
