Yami hoped that he could bond with Mokuba more like this. They went into the first room and Mokuba was in awe. So many new and different things than in any of the other rooms he'd been in. He saw one statue that fascinated him but it was on a shelf just above his head and he reached for it Yami said, "No touching anything."
Mokuba winced and stopped reaching for the ornament. So he glanced at the books, happy he could actually read a lot of the titles. However as he reached out to grab a book Yami looked over and said, "Mokuba you have enough books when your reading gets better you can get some."
Mokuba sighed, 'Is there anything I can do?!'
"Ha, look at this picture. That's so funny."
Mokuba walked over and although it was weird looking he didn't see anything funny about it.
Yami would occasionally pick up a book and glance at it and put it back. This went on till lunch. For the most part Yami did most of the looking and talking. While Mokuba just glanced from a distance, keeping his hands mostly behind his back and trying not to get too close to anything.
At lunch Yami was telling about some interesting things he'd found and some books he'd set aside to go back for later. Seto took note that Mokuba wasn't as happy and beaming as Yami was. Which told him obviously Yami didn't take time to look with him or talk with or to him.
"Wow, sounds like fun. I wish I could go too."
Mokuba knew Yami would be happier with Maura than with him so he said, "Y-You can c-come too if y-you want."
Yami blinked in surprise. He'd thought they'd had a great time. "Are you sure, Mokuba? I promised it'd just be the two of us."
'That's when I thought you'd pay attention to me.' "I-it's okay. S-she can come too."
Maura was so happy she got up and ran over to Yami and asked, "Can we go now, big brother. I finished my lunch."
Yami laughed, "Of course let's go."
Maura practically dragged a laughing Yami out the door.
Seto sighed, he didn't blame Mokuba for volunteering to let Maura go. Obviously from the way Yami talked about the tour. It sounded more like Yami looked around and found things he wanted and liked. While Mokuba was only allowed to look around. Instead of looking at the items in the room together and talking about them. He also noted that when Maura dragged Yami out of the room Mokuba made no move to go with them. He frowned when Yami didn't immediately stop in the doorway to make sure Mokuba was coming.
He sighed and told Mokuba, "Finish your lunch."
Mokuba only blinked in surprise that Seto didn't make him get up and run to join Yami and Maura.
"If they come back and when you get around to ditching them, I'll be in my office. You can stay with me."
Mokuba smiled and nodded and finished up his lunch.
Just as Mokuba finished, Maura ran over to him, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have forgotten to get you too. Come on." she said, dragging him out of his chair.
Seto looked but saw no signs of Yami. 'Its sad that she's the one that came back and not Yami.'

Mr. Johnston opened the door, "Ivera." He said surprised and rather loudly to hopefully alert Noah. "What are you doing here?"
"I was worried. Noah forgot his medicine."
"He's fine."
Just then Noah walked out dressed but miffed that his mother once again prevented him from losing his virginity. "I'm fine mom. I'm going to go home and pack."
Her eyes widened, "Pack? What do you mean pack?"
"I'm moving in here. With Mr. Johnston, he, unlike you, treats me like I should be and want to be. Not like an invalid or a 5 year old. Yes there are days I'm happy that you're babying me. But overall it's suffocating."
Ivera's eyes narrowed at Mr. Johnston, "First you take my sister now my son."
"I had nothing to do with whatever happened to Katalena. She made her bed. She refused to be faithful after agreeing to marry me. She shouldn't have allowed you to marry Charles. She should have concentrated on her own life and married Jon."
"How dare you. We were in love."
"You may have been. But I don't for one second believe Charles gave up college and agreed to do two things he hated. Without a good reason. Become like his father and marry someone he doesn't love. Could he have come to love or deeply care about you by the time you got Noah sure. So what did you or your father have on him or his family to convince him to marry you?"
"He got me pregnant with Marine."
"Nice joke, Ivera. Noah was right when he said the timeline didn't work. Charles came back and I'm assuming now forced to marry you. You gave birth to Marine six months later. I'd have to do research to verify this but I'm pretty sure I'm right."
"Noah, let's go home."
"Fine, you can help me pack."
"You, you bewitched my son. I've spent years trying to drive the devil that Katalena cursed him with out and here you put it back."
At that Noah realized Mr. Johnston was right. His mother wasn't blind or stupid when it came to what Mr. Hermàn had been doing to him all those years. She knew and thinking back to a conversation they had not long ago she had said Mr. Hermàn was paying their rent/mortgage payments till he refused to allow the man to come over any more. She had sold him to a man that would do two things for her. One gets her into the social club she'd been wanting into all her life and two kept her from working or finding a way to make ends meet. She knew and turned a blind eye to what was happening. She believed his birth mother was tied to the devil for betraying her husband for her lover and he and his twin were born from that union. That also explained why she often said his sickness was the work of the devil. When she realized what Mr. Hermàn was doing, to his face she pretended like Mr. Hermàn couldn't wouldn't do such a thing. When in reality she felt he was simply driving the devil out. He stormed out. Now he was even more determined to start living his own life. Tired of his mother or should he call her Aunt ruling his life.
Ivera chased after him. Yelling it was all a misunderstanding.
