Here is chapter two.

I own only my original character, nothing else. I do not own Harry Potter.

It is now September, and Harry is on his way to King's Cross Station, alongside Ambrosius and Hagrid. As they were walking, Muggles would stare at Hagrid.

"Wha're yeh looking at?," he said after getting tired of a couple looking at him suspiciously.

After that, the half-giant pulled out his watch and his eyes widened.

"Blimey, is tha' the time? Sorry, Harry, i'm gonna have ter leave yeh. Dumbledore'll be wanting his- well, he'll be wanting ter see me. Now, uh, your train leaves in 10 minutes. Here's your ticket."

He quickly gave Harry a train ticket and he looked it over.

"Yeh have yours, righ', Ambrosius?," he asked the young Dumbledore.

"That I do," he answered, pulling it out of his pocket.

"Good. Stick ter it, Harry tha's very important. Stick ter your ticket. An' stick close ter Ambrosius. He knows where ter go."

As Harry examined his ticket, Ambro nodded his head at Hagrid, who did the same before vanishing in the blink of an eye.

"Hagrid, there has to be a mistake. This says Platform 9 3/4. There's no such thing... is there?," Harry asked as he looked up and he went wide eyed in surprise to see he was gone. "How did he leave so quickly?"

"Magic, Harry. Magic. Come on, follow me. We have to meet some people along the way as well."

The two then continued onwards towards the train station. Eventually, they came across a Muggle station guard.

"Excuse me, sir?," Ambro said, getting his attention. "Beg your pardon, but have you by any chance seen a family of five or six? A mother, four boys and possibly a girl? They'd be hard to miss, as they're all redheads."

"No, I can't say that I ha-," he began to say then he saw behind them. "Wait, is that them?"

The duo turned to see a family of redheads behind them, with the four boys pushing carts of luggage.

"Yes, it is. Thank you anyway. Mrs Weasley!!"

"Oh, Ambrosius!!," the mother exclaimed and hugged him tightly. "How lovely it is to see you. You look more and more like your father every day."

"Thank you," he said then looked the boys. "Fred, George, good to see you again. Ron, can't wait to see how your first year goes. Ginny, good to see you, I'm excited to have you with us next year. ...Percy... always a pleasure."

The oldest boy said nothing to him, but the other four nodded at him.

"Oh, where are my manners? This is Harry, Hagrid and I have helped him get ready for his time at Hogwarts."

"Very nice to meet you, Harry. Let's all get going now or we'll miss the train," Molly Weasley said and they all began to quickly move on to Platform 9 3/4. "It's the same, year after year. Always packed with Muggles."

"These are the Weasley's. They come from one of the oldest wizarding families. Very nice people. Most of them, at least."

Harry nodded at this as they kept going. Eventually, they stopped at a brick wall.

"Alright, Percy, you first," Mrs. Weasley said and the oldest boy ran towards the wall with his cart of luggage... and disappeared right into the wall. "Fred, you next."

"He's not Fred! I am!," the twin on the right exclaimed.

"Honestly, woman, you call yourself our mother," the one on the left said.

"Oh, sorry, George."

The twin on the left pushed his cart towards the wall before looking back at his mother.

"I am Fred. I'm only joking."

Ambrosius rolled his eyes in amusement as he went through the wall, followed by George.

"You see, Harry, all you need do is run straight at the wall between platforms nine and ten," Ambro explained. "It will be the same every year. Not to worry though, you'll get the hang of it."

"Indeed," Molly Weasley said. "You and Ron can learn it together, as it's his first year at Hogwarts as well."

Harry looked back at Ron, who gave him a nod.

"Alright, Harry, go ahead and give it a shot."

After hearing a 'good luck' from Ginny, Harry lined himself up and ran straight at the wall, and went straight through, just like the others. Ron followed him, saying one last goodbye to his mother and sister as well.

"Well, I hope to see you again, soon, Mrs. Weasley," Ambro said, hugging her one last time.

"As do I, Ambrosius, dear. Have a good fourth year."

"Thank you. Goodbye, Ginny."

She waved goodbye as he ran through the wall to find the black and red Hogwarts Express there waiting. It was an impressive piece of machinery that seemed as if it had some magic aura around it. All around him, he saw the students, from year one to year seven, all of them rushing into the train, some eager to begin their time at Hogwarts, others keen to finish them and be done, but all were ready to return. Ambrosius quickly found Harry again and the two of them found an empty compartment.

"Ah!! Well, now we're on our way to Hogwarts. Excited?," he asked.

"Yes. A little nervous too," Harry answered as the train began to move.

"I'd be worried if you weren't. But don't worry, I'll help you where I think I should. You will need to learn things on your own though. Just know I'll be there to help if you truly need it."

Harry nodded in appreciation as Ron popped his head into the compartment.

"Excuse me, do you mind?," Ron asked. "Everyone else is full."

"No, not at all," they both said and Ron came in and sat next to Ambro.

"I'm Ron, by the way, like Ambro said. Ron Weasley."

"I'm Harry. Harry Potter."

"So... so, it's true. ...So, you really have- have..."

"The what?"

"I think he means your scar," Ambro guessed.

"Oh," he said lifted his hair up to show his scar to Ron.

"Wicked!!," Ron exclaimed as the trolley cart arrived.

"Anything from the trolley dears?," the lady asked.

"No thanks. I'm all set," Ron said, lifting up a smushed up sandwich.

"We'll take the lot," Harry said, pulling out a bunch of coins.

"Whoa!!"

"Hahaha... I'm gonna leave you two to get better acquainted," Ambro said, standing up. "I'm gonna go say hello to some friends. I'll be back later."

"See you later/ Bye, Ambro," the two first years said as they began to engorge themselves on candy.

"Anything for you, dear?"

"Three licorice wands, please."

Ambrosius made his way towards the cars for the older students, passing by friends and classmates. Suddenly, he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw who was in front of him now. A girl, a fourth year like him, with neck length blonde hair, with the bangs covering her left eye, and wore a black leather jacket.

"...Tris," Ambrosius said.

"...Ambro," she said. "It's been a while."

Ambrosius just smiled at her for a few moments before pulling her into a hug, which she returned.

"I've missed you."

"It hasn't been that long, you wuss."

"I see you haven't changed much," he said, letting go of her and they both chuckle a little. "How are things with your sister?"

"We're getting better. Slowly, but getting there," she answered. "Come on. I'm sharing a compartment with Rolf."

She guided him back to her compartment, where they found Rolf playing games with Pickett.

"You two are having fun, I see," Ambrosius commented.

"Hello again, Ambro," Rolf said, standing up with Pickett climbing onto his shoulder.

"Again?," Tris asked as they all sat down.

"I encountered him and his grandfather a few weeks ago in Diagon Alley as they passed Olivander's."

"Yes, now that I think about it, what were you doing there?"

"I was with Hagrid, we were helping a first year get his school supplies. You'll never believe who it was."

"Who? Harry Potter?"

Ambrosius said nothing to his best friends at this, making their eyes widen in shock.

"...You're kidding," Tris said and Ambro shook his head.

"Nope," he stated. "...Do you wanna meet him?"

They both nodded their head vigorously, and Ambrosius just laughed at this.

"Okay okay. Come on, he's a few compartments down, with Bill's youngest brother, Ron. By the way, here."

He handed them two licorice wands as they got up and he led them back to Harry and Ron's compartment. When they reached it, Ambro popped his head in for a moment.

"Hey Harry, Ron. Do you mind if I let a couple of friends sit with us? They also kind of want to meet you."

"That's alright with me," Harry said. "Any friends of yours are friends of mine. What about you, Ron?"

"Mm...sure," he said, with his mouth full.

Ambrosius shook his head in amusement at this before turning to his right and nodding at his best friends.

"Harry, Ron, this is Rolf Scamander, a second year at Hogwarts. And this... is Beatrice Haywood. She's a fourth year like me. Tris, Rolf, as you can guess, this is Bill and Charlie's youngest brother, Ron, and this is Harry Potter."

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Potter," Rolf said, nodding his head in greeting. "And you, Mr. Weasley. Charlie was something of a mentor to me."

"Hello, Harry, Ron," Beatrice said and the three of them sat down, with Ambrosius and Beatrice sitting next to Harry and Rolf next to Ron.

"Nice to meet you both," Harry said then he saw Pickett. "What is that?"

"Oh this is Pickett. He's a good friend of my grandfather's. He is a Bowtruckle, normally these creatures keep to themselves in colonies they build in wand quality trees. But this one is special to my family."

"Wait, Scamander," Ron said. "I know that name. Charlie told me about you. Your grandfather is a famous magizoo- uh..."

"Magizoologist, that's right," Rolf said. "In fact, he wrote one of the books you'll have to read this year, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.'"

"Wicked. Well, I was just about to show Harry this spell my brother Fred taught me. It's supposed to turn Scabbers here yellow."

"Fred taught you a spell??," Ambro asked as Ron his wand out. "Brace yourselves, everyone. Who knows what'll happen?"

Just then, a girl, a first year with long, brown curly hair, already wearing her school robes arrived at the entrance to the compartment.

"Have any of you seen a toad?," she asked. "A boy named Neville lost one."

"No," Ron answered and everyone else shook their heads, then she saw Ron's wand out.

"Oh, you're doing magic? Let's see then."

"...Sunshine, daises, butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow!"

Some magic come out of the hand me down wand and zapped Scabbers, but all the shock did was shoot the box of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans off his head, and did not turn him yellow.

"Haha... I think your brother was having some fun with you, Ron," Ambrosius commented, making the redhead shrug in agreement.

"Not a very good spell, is it? Of course, I've only tried a few simple spells myself. For example...," the girl said and sat down next to Rolf and Ron and pointed her wand at Harry. "Oculus Reparo."

Instantly, the tape on Harry's glasses was ripped off and the glass was completely repaired.

Harry slowly pulled his glasses off and inspected them.

"Holy Cricket, you're Harry Potter!! I'm Hermione Granger. And you are?"

"Um... Ron Weasley," Ron said with his mouth full.

"Pleasure."

"I'm Ambrosius Dumbledore," Ambro said, shaking the girl's hand. "You can call Ambro, if you wish."

"Dumbledore? Like the headmaster?"

"He's my grandfather, and the Deputy Headmistress, Minerva McGonagall, is my grandmother."

"I'm Beatrice Haywood," Tris said. "I'm a fourth year in Hufflepuff. Ambro and I have been practically stuck to each other since our first year."

"Rolf Scamander," Rolf introduced himself. "Yes, like the author of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.' Newt Scamander is my grandfather."

"It's wonderful to meet you all. Harry, Ron, you two best be getting robes on. We'll be arriving shortly, I expect."

"She's right," Ambrosius said. "We will be there soon. We'll give you two some privacy. Tris, Rolf and I need to be with the other second and fourth years."

"You're leaving now?," Harry asked.

"I'm afraid so. First years arrive at Hogwarts by boat. Everyone else arrives in carriages. Not to worry, my friends. We'll see you all in the Great Hall for the Sorting Ceremony."

With that, the three older kids left and went to their respective places. Ambrosius and Beatrice returned to their compartment.

"Now that we have a moment to ourselves, it really is great to see you again, Tris."

"You too, Ambro," Tris said, but soon a concerned look grew on her face.

"What's wrong?"

"Harry Potter is starting at Hogwarts now. Things just keep popping up to make our school years crazy. Wonder what this one will hold, especially with Jason now gone?"

"Well, whatever the future throws at us...," Ambrosius said, gently grabbing hold of her hand, making her look down and then up at him. "We'll face it together. And we'll keep everyone safe. I promise."

Beatrice smiled slightly at this vow, then leaned her head on his shoulder, and he wrapped an arm around her in comfort.

"You Gryffindors and your hero complexes..."

"You Hufflepuffs and your annoying honesty..."

The pair laughed at each other's remarks and stayed this way for a little while.

"...You said things are going good with you and Penny? How is she and Jason?," Ambro asked.

"Okay so far," Tris answered. "Slow, but we're getting back to where we were before. Well, actually, we never will be back, but it's close. She and Jason were talking about getting married in a couple of years."

"Really?! Wow!! Good for them, those two were meant for each other."

"Yup... makes me want to vomit," she commented and her best friend chuckled at this. "I'm just glad all the rubbish about the Cursed Vaults is over and done with."

"Me too."

They continued to talk, and eventually night came upon them and the train arrived at Hogsmeade Station. As the steam coming from the locomotor began to die down, the students started coming out of the cars. Ambrosius and Beatrice soon found Rolf again and they headed out towards the carriages.

"Hello again, guys," Rolf said.

"Hey, Rolf," the two fourth years said.

"Hey, guys!!," another fourth year Hufflepuff said, walking over to them.

"Cedric! Good to see you," Ambro said as they all got into a carriage. "Can't believe that it's our fourth year already. Well, second year for you, Rolf, but still time really does fly."

"Truer words have never been spoken."

"Ambro/Ambro," Fred and George greeted from their right.

"Boys. Shall we all head to the carriages?"

Everyone nodded and they walked to the carriages, with Ambrosius quickly petting the Thestral pulling the carriage for a moment.

"What are you doing?," Cedric asked.

"Carriage is being pulled by a Thestral. You can't see it because they can only be seen by those who've seen death. Let's get a move on."

He hops in and off they went towards the castle. Soon enough, Hogwarts came into view, putting a smile on all of their faces. Even though he has lived in the castle his entire life, Ambrosius was still blown away by the sheer size and beauty of Hogwarts. From its many towers of all shapes and sizes, to the Quidditch field, the greenhouses and even the boathouse, Hogwarts was practically an entire city in and of itself.

"No place like home," Ambro said, with everyone nodding in agreement. "I think these next few years are gonna be interesting for us all."

"What makes you say that?," Cedric asked.

"Probably has to do with," Fred said.

"Harry Potter starting at Hogwarts," George finished, and Cedric's eyes widened in surprise.

Ambro nodded in confirmation and they continued onward towards Hogwarts.

Soon enough, the six of them arrived at the school, where they then got out of the carriage, quickly getting into their robes and headed their way to the Great Hall. It was a massive room with several sets of columns, lined with banners of the four houses of Hogwarts: the golden lion over a red field of Gryffindor, the black badger over a yellow field of Hufflepuff, the white raven over a blue field of Ravenclaw and the white serpent over a green field of Slytherin. There were four very long tables in the main part of the hall with another long rounded table at the far end of the hall for the professors, and large fireplaces on each side of the room. Each table was for each house, with Slytherin to the left, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and then Gryffindor on the right. At the foot of the small, between the four tables and the main table, was a small stool with an old witch's hat on it, which was wrinkled up in a way that it looked like it had a face.

The six of them quickly headed to their house tables with the rest of the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs. Before he sat down, Ambro heard someone clearing their throat. He turned to see his grandfather, the headmaster, gesturing him to come over to the faculty table. He smiled slightly as he walked over, nodding in greeting to all of the teachers present who returned the gesture, even Professor Snape, who ever so slightly nodded back at him.

"Welcome home, Ambrosius," Albus Dumbledore said.

"Good to be back home, grandfather," Ambrosius said back and Albus handed him his Prefect badge. "Thank you."

"You're very welcome. Our own Potions master believes you have earned it. Even if he'll never admit it."

Snape gave a side-glance of slight annoyance at the pair, but quickly looked away again, making them chuckle slightly.

"How was young Mr. Potter?," he asked quietly.

"A little nervous, but more excited than anything else. Beatrice and I both agree that things at Hogwarts are going to get even more interesting than in the past."

He nodded at this and smirked at the fact his grandson mentioned Tris as he had often spoken of her over the summer. Ambro was annoyed by this and quickly moved on from the subject.

"I best head to my table before grandmother comes in with the first years. Also, expect to get grief from Percy Weasley about me being a Prefect."

With that, the fourth year Dumbledore walked over to his table, sitting next to Fred and George, with Percy glaring at him when he saw his badge. Oliver Wood, a fifth year and the Quidditch captain, also sat nearby.

"What are you doing with that on?!," he exclaimed.

"I have earned it," Ambrosius answered. "I was made Prefect a year early."

"Pays to have the headmaster as your grandfather eh?," George remarked.

"Silly George Weasley. You should know my grandfather better than that. He'd never allow even me to have something like this early unless he thought I deserved it."

"Looks like you're not the only one getting one early," Oliver Wood said, pointing towards the Hufflepuff table.

They all turned to see the Herbology professor and Head of Hufflepuff House, Professor Sprout, giving a Prefect badge to Beatrice.

"Well, what do you know? She's definitely earned it," Ambro commented, looking towards her, seeing a smile on her face as she looked back at him.

The two of them nodded in congratulations to each other and they returned to talking with their housemates.

Soon enough, Professor McGonagall came in to see that everything was ready before going back out a few minutes later. Not a minute later, she once again came into the Great Hall, with the first years right behind her. As she passed, Minerva nodded at her grandson, who smiled and nodded back.

"Will you wait here, please?," McGonagall said with the first years stopping between the middle tables. "Now before we begin, our headmaster, Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words."

"I have a few start of term notices I wish to announce," Albus began as he rose from the center of the table. "The first years please note that the dark forest is strictly forbidden to all students. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch, has asked me to remind you that the third corridor on the right hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you."

'He always gives such cheerful speeches,' Ambro thought to himself.

As his grandfather finished speaking, Ambrosius quickly spotted Harry standing next to Ron. The boy felt soon felt him staring and turned to see him. Ambro smirked at him, winking at him, and he smirked back. The young Dumbledore then looked to see a young blonde boy he knew all too well, Draco Malfoy, glaring at Harry with the two minions he already had, Crabbe and Goyle.

"When I call your name, you will come forth, I shall place the Sorting Hat on your head, and you will be sorted into your houses," Professor McGonagall explained and then read off the first name. "Hermione Granger!"

A moment later, the brown bushy haired girl came up and sat down and the Sorting Hat was placed on her head. Instantly, it sprang to life with it opening where his eyes would be at.

"Right then. Hm, right," it said in a deep croaky voice. "Okay... GRYFFINDOR!!"

An uproar erupted from Gryffindor table as Hermione came over to them. Ambrosius had everyone make room for her, and she sat down across from him.

"Welcome to Gryffindor, Hermione," Ambro said.

"Thanks, Ambrosius," she said, happy to have been sorted.

"Draco Malfoy!"

The boy walks over arrogantly, and sat down. The hat wasn't on his head for a split second before he was sorted.

"SLYTHERIN!!"

Applause came from Slytherin table as he walked over to it.

"Typical."

"What do you mean?," Hermione asked.

"Draco and his family have all been sorted into Slytherin House" Ambrosius explained as the sorting continued. "Some will say every witch and wizard sorted into Slytherin went bad. That, however, is not true."

"Right because Merlin himself went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin," she said and Ambrosius nodded.

"Ronald Weasley!," McGonagall called out.

The redhead nervously sat down and as the hat was placed, it exclaimed, scaring him.

"Ha!!! Another Weasley!! I know just what to do with you... GRYFFINDOR!!!," it exclaimed and with more applause, Ron joined his brothers and friends at the Gryffindor table.

"Glad you could finally join us Ronald Weasley!!," Ambrosius yelled over the cheering, earning a few laughs.

"Harry Potter!," Minerva called out and everybody went dead silent and both Dumbledore's watched intently.

Harry slowly walked up and sat down. Professor McGonagall placed the hat on his head and the process began.

"Hm... difficult, difficult. Plenty of courage I see, not a bad mind either. There's talent as well... and a thirst to prove yourself. But where to put you?"

Ambrosius couldn't hear what Harry was whispering, but he guessed it had something to do with Slytherin after what the hat said next.

"Not Slytherin, eh? You could be great, you know? It's all here in your head. And Slytherin would help on your way to greatness! There's no doubt about that," the Sorting Hat said, but sensed that Harry was insistent. "No? If you're sure... better be... GRYFFINDOR!!!"

There was a huge uproar of cheering as Harry walked over to the Gryffindor table, sitting himself down next to Ron and Ambrosius. The cheering continued, with the Gryffindors being overjoyed that the Boy Who Lived was in their house. Ambro shook his hand firmly and gave him a side one-armed hug. Harry grins at all the praise he is receiving and looked towards the headmaster, who raised his goblet at him in congratulations.

"I knew you had the heart of a lion!," Ambrosius joked then McGonagall, now seated next to Professor Dumbledore, tapped her glass.

"Your attention, please!," she said, and Professor Dumbledore stood up.

"Let the feast...," he said and waved his hand around a bit. "...Begin."

A second later, food appeared on all of the tables, shocking the first years, but every one soon began to eat. Ambrosius listened to all the conversations around him, friends catching up and talking about their summers, first years getting to know one another.

"Say Ambro, who is the man that's speaking to Professor Quirrell?," Harry asked.

"Oh him? That's Professor Severus Snape. He's head of Slytherin house," he answered.

"What's he teach?"

"Potions," Percy answered before he could. "But everyone knows that he fancies the Dark Arts. He's been after Quirrell's job for years."

"He's right. Watch what you say to him and how you act, he'll take any chance to take points from the other houses."

"Hm... I'll try. So what's that badge you and Percy are wearing?"

"Prefect badges. We're basically students given extra authority by the headmaster. A boy and girl from each house are chosen in their fifth years. This year, however, my grandfather has made an exception with Beatrice and myself."

"Which still makes no sense to me," Percy said. "It's against the rules of Hogwarts to have you two be prefects. You can't just abuse your relationship with Professors Dumbledore and McGonagall whenever you please."

"Believe it or not, I did not know about this, or that Beatrice was to be one as well," Ambro replied and then leaned up to his face. "And do not ever accuse me of such a thing again. Understood?"

Slightly intimidated, the older Weasley nodded at this and they all moved on with their feast. Then Ron yelled yet again from being scared, this time by the Gryffindor house ghost, Sir Nicholas, popping out of a tray of chicken as he was grabbing a piece.

"Hello! Welcome to Gryffindor," he greeted.

More and more ghosts poured into the Great Hall, notably the Hogwarts House ghosts: Nearly Headless Nick of Gryffindor, the Fat Friar of Hufflepuff, the Grey Lady of Ravenclaw and the Bloody Baron of Slytherin.

"Hello, Sir Nicholas. How was the end of your summer?," Ambro asked as the ghost floated away from the table.

"Dismal. Sadly, my request to join the Headless Hunt has been denied... again."

"Oh I'm sure they'll eventually let you in."

"How I wish I could share your optimism, Ambrosius, but I have been trying for centuries. Oh well, there's always next time!"

"I know you!," Ron exclaimed, making the ghost stop and look back at them. "You're Nearly Headless Nick!"

"I prefer Sir Nicholas, if you don't mind."

"Nearly Headless??," Hermione asked. "How can you be nearly headless?"

"Like this," Sir Nicholas answered and pulled his head almost completely off, with only a few tendons and skin keeping it on, which naturally horrified some of the students, including Ron.

Ambrosius simply laughed slightly at the reactions of his new friends.

"As you can see, you three," Ambro said, getting their attention. "Hogwarts is far more than just a school. It's home to many a ghost. It's my home as well."

"Must be brilliant to be able to live here," Harry commented.

"It usually is. Summers can be boring at times. No one near my age around to talk to. That's why I often go to Hogsmeade."

"Hogsmeade?"

"The only completely wizarding village in Great Britain. It's just north of Hogwarts, walking distance. However, it's strictly forbidden to go to until third year and even then you need written permission from family to do so."

"Oh...," Harry said.

"No worries, Harry," Ambrosius said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "You've got two years to convince your family."

The boy offered a slight smile at this and they moved on with their conversations.

Eventually, the feast ended and Prefects began to lead the first years to their dormitories. As they left, Ambroius caught sight of his best friend helping the new Hufflepuffs to their dormitories. Beatrice looked towards him and after a moment, nodded towards him, which he returned before going back to help his own Prefects. As they walked, the young Dumbledore could see that Percy still wasn't too thrilled about his early appointment.

"Don't worry, Percy," he said. "At least now you have someone to help you with being Gryffindor Prefect. How often can one say that?"

The fifth year Weasley said nothing to this and kept his attention to guiding the new students. They soon came to the main staircases.

"This is the most direct path to the dormitories," Percy stated.

"Also, keep an eye on the staircases. They like to change. You'll eventually learn how to time them right," Ambro added.

The students looked up and saw the staircases moving around all on their own in a seemingly random order. As they kept going, they walked past numerous magical paintings, with the subjects of them moving around, talking and interacting with each other and the students. They could even move from one painting to another.

Finally, they reached the seventh floor, where the Gryffindor Tower could be accessed. Ambrosius and Percy led the students up to a large portrait of a fat lady.

"Password?," the Fat Lady asked.

"Caput Draconis," Ambrosius answered.

The lady smiled and the door behind the painting opened up to reveal a small tunnel. Everyone quickly came in through the tunnel to come into a neatly decorated red and gold colored room, with a chandelier hanging above them, a fireplace in one corner with some couches around it. In its opposite corner, was a group of chairs around a chessboard table. There were a few desks, cabinets and paintings placed around the area. There was also a single staircase in the back that split in two, leading to the dormitories.

"Gather around here," Percy ordered and they did so. "Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room. Boy's dormitories, up the stairs and to the left. Girls, the same on your right."

"You'll find that all of your belongings have already been brought up to them," Ambro said. "Have a good night all of you. Sleep well, as you'll need it. And lastly, welcome to Hogwarts."

Ambrosius decided to walk around and check on the new students, see if they were settling in well enough. He began to check each dormitory and saw that the boys were all sound asleep... all except one.

He looked towards the window to find Harry sitting there in his pajamas, petting Hedwig.

"Can't sleep," Ambro asked quietly as he sat across from the first year.

"A little," he said quietly. "It's just hard to believe how much my life has changed in so little time."

"Must be a lot to take in."

"Yeah. But... I really do think I'm going to love it here at Hogwarts."

"I'm happy to hear that. And don't worry, I'll be here if you ever need me. Just like I help anyone and everyone I can, even if they don't want it."

Harry smiled and nodded at this as Ambrosius began to pet Hedwig, who was loving all the attention she was getting.

"...Get some sleep, Harry. You only have one first day at Hogwarts."

"Goodnight, Ambro," Harry said as his friend got up to do the same.

"Goodnight, Harry."

So sorry that this took so long. Life, work and loss of inspiration got in the way. If you don't know, Beatrice Haywood is a character from the Harry Potter app game, Hogwarts Mystery. I've only gotten to year six so I'll likely be changing the character a bit but I'll do my best to be accurate based on what I know about her. Hope you all liked this and I really will try to get the next one up sooner.
