So, to the point, my dumbass almost fell for a scam.
Basically, one of my buddies got hacked, that account sent false reports about me and when I went to clear it up, the guy that was supposedly a member of discord staff, started asking for some weird stuff like previous purchases and stuff cause apparently I made "illegal purchases".
And I lost my account cause the email got switched (hence why I'm stupid)...and now I am stuck.
Dude tried to get 2k out of me for some kind of "digital services act" with FIDE or something like that with the promise that it would be immediately returned once it was tested. My ass.
Thankfully, I wasn't stupid enough to do that but damn it's infuriating.
I doubt I'll get my account back, though fortunately I never made any purchases or linked any cards to discord, but if you're seeing this, kick me off of the server if you can.
Damn I feel so stupid, but at least nothing's bad and hopefully everything works out, they didn't get access to any of my super personal info like ss and account numbers and stuff like that...
Hopefully at least.
But yeah, if you see a discord staff do that crap to you, it's 100% a scam. they'll look legit too, sending linkedin accounts and stuff that make it all seem legit but it's just social engineering.
Be on the lookout for or something similar.
