When Amy woke up her head hurt
"rise and shine!" Cubot said
"good morning miss rose how are you?" Orbot asked
immediately she jumped out of bed and prepared to fight
"not to worry miss rose we're not here to fight." Orbot said "we're here to make sure you 4 didn't fall into a coma."
Amy remembered what happened
her realizing her mistake thanks to Lily and the phantom ruby tormenting her with illusions and kicking the crap out of her
"where's sonic?" Amy asked
"he is currently taking a break in the village where miss Lily and Lincoln reside." Orbot said
"why!? They almost killed us!" Amy said
"I must ask you to forgive Lincoln his personality was being influenced by the eggman servers." Orbot said
"yeah when you're connected it sometimes messes with you." Cubot said
"what about Lily?" Amy asked
"you were pretty beat up by her but just unconscious." Orbot said
"no she trapped me somewhere and tormented me with mind tricks." Amy said
"that I don't have an answer to." Orbot said "you should ask Lincoln about that."
"where are the others?" Any asked
"knocked out still except for sticks since she was the least damaged." Orbot said "oh it looks like tails is waking up!"
tails groaned and got up
he looked at his hand and saw there was a sticky note attached to it
"I only showed the amount of mercy that I did to you because you're sonic's best friend. so start acting like it." -shadow
(I have a lot to make up for.) tails thought to himself
"tails you're okay!" Amy said
"of course he is miss Lily healed your broken bones using the phantom ruby before they left." Orbot said
"where's sonic?" Tails asked
"he's with those guys we fought." Amy said
"what?!" Tails said
then knuckles began to wake up
"ugh what happened? did I pass out after drinking too much honey?" Knuckles asked
"no we lost a fight." Amy said
then sticks bursted into the room
"good you guys are awake!" Sticks said "we need to go find sonic!"
"he's with those guys we fought." The 3 said in unison
"wait if sonic's been there who's been watching the village?" Amy asked
"doctor eggman." Orbot said
"what?!" All four shouted in unison
"he refuses to take it over without sonic there to fight or without tricking the villagers into kicking sonic out but that doesn't mean he's going to let someone else do it." Orbot said
"yeah the boss is weird like that." Cubot said
"well at least someone will be watching the village while we're gone." Knuckles said
"well we better get going then." Tails said
orbot handed them a digital map to the village
"just be careful the village is always on it's toes due to constant raids." Orbot said
"and if you want the self esteem boost remember every time you think you are dumb remember you are not the raider who tried to punch Lincoln while he was spin dashing." Cubot said
and with that the group was on their way
later
despite their injuries the team made it to the village in the same day
when they got there they saw sonic, Lincoln, shadow, and Lily fighting raiders while Maria was blocking arrows from hitting civilians with ice walls
"should we help?" Sticks asked
"of course we should!" Amy said
they joined in helped take out some raiders
"hey guys glad to see you are all awake!" Sonic said as he kicked a raider
"yeah thanks." Amy said feeling some guilt
knuckles threw a raider into 3 others
"sorry for breaking your ribs." Lincoln said to knuckles as he used shadow as a bowling ball to knock down some raiders
"hey it's cool you just need to be careful how hard you kick." Knuckles said
Lincoln was silent for a moment
"I want to put you under a microscope and study you." Tails said to knuckles
"I'm not a microwave!" Knuckles said
"you should just throw out the sample." Lincoln said to tails
soon the raiders began to turn tail and run
"hey they're getting away!" Sticks said as she nailed some with her boomerang
"next time we'll be back with the boss!" One raider yelled
"and that's that." Lincoln said
(now let's talk to sonic!) Amy thought to herself
"I agree!" Sticks said
"sticks can you read minds?!" Amy asked
"nah I just listen to the other worldly voice that narrates everything." Sticks said
"oh you do that too." Lincoln said
SHIT I'VE BEEN BUSTED
"o-okay then." Amy said a bit unnerved about sticks and Lincoln's other worldly voice "sonic we need to talk."
"agreed." Sonic said "can you guys give some privacy?"
the local heroes nodded before leaving
" so sonic first off why did you just let them beat us up!?" Amy asked
"you guys agreed to it." Sonic said
"well yeah but we didn't think they would be that strong!" Tails said
"shadow was there how was that not a sign for you to just give up?" Sonic asked
they didn't have a counter
"look I'm not completely innocent for just letting beat you up but you have to understand the whole village was against me and my most recent friends were willing to fight for me against my oldest friends." Sonic said "I was just mad at the fact that you didn't even try to talk to the villagers about it."
"I'm sorry that I didn't help you during that battle with eggman." Knuckles said
"I'm sorry I didn't stick up for you." Tails said "as your best friend I should've."
"I was trying to make everyone happy but during that I forgot you." Amy said " I'm sorry."
"I forgive you all. And Amy not everyone needs help sometimes you gotta let things lie." Sonic said
"yeah Lily kinda beat that lesson into me." Amy said "with the whole tormenting thing."
"tormenting?" Sonic asked
"yeah she kinda put me in a nightmare." Amy said
sonic opened his window and yelled to Lincoln
"did you know that lily trapped Amy in a nightmare!?" Sonic asked
"no!?" Lincoln responded before going to check on Lily
suddenly there was a loud explosion
and Lily was floating in the air holding her head while laughing like a maniac the phantom ruby shining brightly
"I think it's driving her mad!" Tails said
Lincoln did a scan
"it's an overflow of energy if it's not released soon she'll stay like that!" Lincoln said "and what ever you do don't get hit! who knows what could happen?"
Lily charged up another blast
"EVERYBODY DOWN!!!" Lincoln yelled as everyone got down
the blast did major damage to the buildings and even distorted some of them
"ok we need to get Lily to release the energy without hurting her." Lincoln said
"I got an idea!" Knuckles said
(oh god) everyone who knew knuckles thought to themselves
"what if we all make ourselves a target and if she tries to shoot all of us at once we dodge." Knuckles suggested
"knuckles that's...not a half bad idea." Amy said
"ok everyone surround lily but stay far enough away to make sure you can dodge the blast." Lincoln said
"right!" everyone said
everyone got into position and got ready to dodge
Lily seeing multiple targets surrounded herself with energy and began releasing multiple beams of energy
luckily everyone managed to dodge them until Lily ran out of energy causing her to fall from the sky
Lincoln caught her and made sure was still alive
"thank goodness." Lincoln said before turning to the heroes "I can not thank you enough for the help."
"don't mention it." Sonic said "well I've had a long enough break thanks for letting me stay."
"you're welcome have a safe trip home." Lincoln said before sonic and his friends left

"Boss we lost again we need your help taking this guy down." The raider said
"well I gave you my word and I, zero always keep my word." The jackal said "now tomorrow we will show this machine who owns this island."
