This chapter starts with Saeko and her doctor friend, then a bit of what is happening with Hatori before it becomes an Immortal Moon S chapter - S is Beryl and an unnamed servant.

Not one to waste time, after Saeko finished her shift at the hospital, she then changed quickly. Once she was done, she made her way to her friend's office and knocked decisively on the door.

"Come in," she heard Suki call out.

"Ready?" she asked as she pushed open the door. Once she saw her friend, she frowned. "That's what you're wearing to meet him? You look… clinical."

"You won't even tell me his name," Suki said in exasperation. "I don't know if I even want to be set up on this date."

"Well, his surname is Hino, and I don't actually know his first name. I call him uncle." Saeko replied, walking over to her friend and pulling off the woman's lab coat.

"That tells me absolutely nothing," she replied in exasperation.

"I'm your friend. Don't you trust me?" As Saeko asked, she fished in her friend's desk drawer, where she knew she kept her extra elastics and hair pins.

"I know your taste in men, don't get me wrong, they're hot, but a one-night stand with a twenty-five-year-old isn't my thing."

Saeko gave Suki a fake, annoyed look. She then pulled Suki's long pink hair back into a soft bun. "Like I would share one of my conquests with you," she mock-scoffed. "I'm not that good of a friend."

Once the bun was pinned in place, Suki asked, "Why is my hair up?"

"He's very traditional and will your exposed neck sexy. If I had been thinking, I would have told you to wear a kimono."

With large purple eyes, Suki looked at Saeko. "How is this a good idea?"

"Fine," Saeko said, conceding defeat in one area to win the overall battle. "He's actually nine years older than you." She has been off a year in her initial guess. "And he's a Shinto priest." She smiled as she knew she laid out the winning fact.

Suki looked at her in shock and delight. Saeko couldn't help her triumphant smile. She said, "I told you I could find you the perfect man."

Excitedly, she said, "Please tell me he will be wearing his official clothes." Begging for a yes with her eyes.

"He doesn't own anything else. He told me himself."

"Oh dang it! Why did I wear these horrid pants today? They wash me out." She looked down at herself in dismay.

Saeko undid the first few buttons on Suki's blouse. "You look lovely. Trust me. He won't be able to keep his eyes off your… pretty face."

As far as bad situations went, the whole Balm debacle was horrible and a bit lucky at the same time. Beyond the three young people in the morgue, four were hospitalized and fighting for their lives.

That part, for everyone, had been horrible. The kids had done nothing knowingly wrong. They had just been led to believe that drinking the "elixir of purification" would ensure a successful future. They were overly trusting but hadn't deserved any of what had happened to them.

The only small silver lining, the luck Hatori had, was that two members of the House of Representative branch of The National Diet (akin to the US House of Representatives, theirs consisting of 480 members) had children that had been under mind control. They had immediately taken to the media, decrying the criminal activity that had put the nation's youth at risk and praising the actions of those who stopped them.

It all made Hatori's job much more manageable. He didn't even have to pretend to be looking into the vigilante group that had stepped in before the police had gotten there. And since all the public knew about Diamond's death was that he was decapitated, the causes didn't align with the new cause of death. It meant that there was nothing to connect them in the people's minds.

And in the end, like any big news story that was covered relentlessly on social media. It would quickly blow over, and in a few days' time, it would be completely out of the news.

Laying by the pool naked, Beryl shot another glass of tequila back. She was trying to drink her frustration away, but that wasn't working. It didn't help that she was full of magic that prevented it from taking effect.

Balm had died startlingly quickly, which annoyed her more than just a bit. She didn't care about the woman's death, but it was another failure stacked on top of a long list of things that went wrong.

The worst part was that it meant she would have to take action and take up residence in Japan herself. And she hated putting herself anywhere near the danger that she created.

She flicked the empty glass that had been sitting on the table by her chair, striking it with her long nail, making it fall, and watching as it broke against the concrete. She then grabbed the bottle and started drinking directly from it.

When the glass broke, as she expected, a naked servant came running out to clean up the mess. It was her favorite part about the weather there. She could demand that only sexy, muscular men were hired and that they weren't allowed to wear clothes.

Once he picked up the glass, she said, "Take care of that and then return to me." He bowed and ran off to fulfill her command quickly.

SsssssssS

Beryl showered, and as she did, she made her plans. She would have her things set up in Japan, and once everything was ready for her, she would make her way there on her private jet. She would also bring her new toy along with her.
