Chapter 2: Allies and Adversaries
Mega Man and Tornado Man trekked deeper into the verdant expanse of Viridian Forest, the dense foliage and chirping of wild Pokémon creating an unfamiliar but strangely serene backdrop. Despite the beauty around them, the weight of their mission pressed heavily on their minds.
As they navigated through the underbrush, Mega Man's sensors picked up another energy signature, different from the usual Pokémon. "We're not alone," he murmured, tightening his grip on the Mega Buster.
From behind a thick grove of trees emerged a young Trainer, a determined look on her face. She had short brown hair, a green cap, and a Poké Ball in hand. "Halt! Who are you, and what are you doing here?"
Mega Man stepped forward cautiously. "I'm Mega Man, and this is Tornado Man. We're here to stop a dangerous alliance between Dr. Wily and Team Rocket. Who are you?"
The girl relaxed slightly but kept her guard up. "I'm Green. I've been tracking strange activities in this forest, and it sounds like we're after the same thing."
Tornado Man hovered beside Mega Man. "Green, we could use your help. You know this world better than we do."
Green eyed them both, assessing their sincerity. Finally, she nodded. "Alright. If Team Rocket and this Dr. Wily are as dangerous as you say, we need to work together. Follow me; I've found one of their hidden bases."
As the trio made their way towards the hidden base, Green explained what she had discovered. "Team Rocket has been capturing rare Pokémon and experimenting on them. Some of the Pokémon have been modified with robotic parts. It's unlike anything I've ever seen."
Mega Man frowned. "That sounds like Wily's work. We need to free those Pokémon and put an end to these experiments."
When they reached the base, it was heavily guarded by Rocket Grunts and robotic sentinels. Green released her Charizard, ready to fight. "Charizard, use Flamethrower!" she commanded. The mighty dragon unleashed a torrent of flames, creating a path through the guards.
Tornado Man created a gust of wind with his Tornado Blow, scattering the remaining sentinels. Mega Man charged forward, blasting through the base's defenses with precision shots from his Mega Buster.
Inside, they found a horrifying sight: Pokémon in containment units, their bodies fused with mechanical parts. Mega Man's heart sank. "We need to free them, now."
Green and Tornado Man worked together to disable the containment units. As they freed the last of the captured Pokémon, an alarm blared throughout the base.
"Looks like we've been noticed," Green said, her eyes narrowing. "Get ready for a fight."
As Rocket Grunts and more robotic sentinels poured into the room, Mega Man, Tornado Man, and Green stood their ground, ready to face whatever came next. Together, they were a formidable team, determined to protect both their worlds from the rising threat.
