Chapter 29
Amara's POV
I wake up with a headache and a sharp pain coming from my arm. My eyes go from the needle to the masked figure holding it taking my blood. A groan comes from the other side of the room, I shift looking behind the figure to see Tatum tied up, her eyes closed but to my relief alive. We were in the sound room below the auditorium.
"Why are you doing this?" I ask in a whisper.
He looks up at me tilting his head, eyes so dark I couldn't tell who was under the mask. When he's done he roughly grabs my chin bringing my face close to his mask for a few seconds before letting me go.
Another masked killer walks in with a passed-out Sidney over his shoulder, he places her down before handing a syringe full of blood to him, and before I can blink they are gone. I roughly pulled on my binds trying to get free but they were tied tight.
I feel like we're gonna be there forever until Gale bursts through the door quickly locking it behind her. "Gale, help me out here," I whisper.
She quickly unties me before trying to untie Tatum, she shakes her a few times when she gets no response she smacks her hard, Tatum wakes up with a gasp holding her face.
"You Bitch,"
"You're welcome," Gale tells her with a grin that shows she liked that smack a little too much.
"Where's my brother?" Tatum questions leaning up. Gale gives her a guilty look barely looking her in the eyes.
"He got stabbed, a lot," she chokes out like she's holding back sobs.
Tatum lets out a shaky breath shaking her head, "He's fine, my brother is tough,"
"We have to rescue Randy, guys one of them grabbed him," Sidney says worried. We wait a few minutes waiting until the coast is clear to leave. As soon as we stepped foot outside a gun cocks at us and stood on the other end.
"No sudden movements, If you want Randy or your Father alive," she threatens, gesturing her gun in the direction we need to go. She has us going to the theater. Once we were inside my heart dropped when I saw Randy, Derek, and Cotton sitting tied to chairs on the stage.
"Dad!" I yelled running toward him without thinking. I hear yells behind me but they're ignored as I climb the stage before I can get to him. I'm tackled roughly. A masked figure straddles me with a deep laugh rumbling under the mask. Using a prop rock I smacked him hard across the face, I smirk when I realized it wasn't fake at all.
"Enough drop it," threatens pointing the gun at me, while distracted by me Gale tries to run but she's quick to see it and is shot falling through the stage. Tatum grips Sidney in a hug of surprise.
"She wasn't first on my list but it works," she says nonchalantly.
She presses the gun into my chin looking at me with pure hatred, not sure what I ever did to her for her to hate me this much. "You don't deserve his love," she spits out after a few seconds.
"Excuse you?" I looked around for a second, I couldn't believe she was talking to me.
"I came back for him, I'm doing all this for him," she rants, Mickey rolls his eyes cleaning his knife.
"He does not like you, get over it," he tells her annoyedly, he roughly takes the gun from her and then grabs my arm.
"Don't you have a side job?" he asks her pointing the gun at my father who's still passed out. I grip his arm pulling on him as he laughs at me mockingly. ties up Tatum and Sidney who she tells Mickey to give very painful deaths.
"Please not him," I pleaded, his sick twisted eyes twinkled with delight as he nodded to who left not before giving me an evil smile that sent a chill down my spine.
"It's gonna have to be someone babe, let's say you and me have a little fun before your evil boy toy wakes up," his gun teases between my breasts as my eyes go wide. That's what all this was about? Waking up Billy?
"Okay," I answer in a monotone voice, I keep my expression blank as I take his hand leading him behind the stage, he seems surprised until I force my lips on his, it only takes him seconds to respond.
He sits on a chair pulling me into his lap to straddle him as he pulls me in for another nauseating kiss. "You know I'm not gonna let you anywhere near my gun" he laughs like I'm stupid.
I laugh kissing down his neck, his hands reach up my bare thighs until they touch a strap I feel his confusion, but ignoring it I roughly pull his head back revealing more of his neck, "I never needed your gun, I'm more of a knife girl anyway," I whisper before slitting his throat with my new dagger, shock spreads his features as his hands reach for his neck to stop the downpour but I knew I sliced too deep enough for it to be stopped.
I shouldn't have liked that, it should have felt wrong but I feel nothing. I check my reflection in my dagger wiping the blood off my lips before running to the front of the stage to untie Sidney and Tatum.
"Are you okay?!" they ask worriedly probably because I was covered in blood.
"Yeah I'm fine, Sidney help me get my dad and the others, Tatum see if Gale is still alive down there," I tell them quickly, handing Sidney an extra dagger. Sidney Cradles Randy's face and sighs in relief when he groans. I untied my father catching him before he could fall out of the chair.
"Dad?" I pat his cheek a few times but he doesn't wake up. A loud smack echoes through the theater.
"Ow," Gale cries out, I try not to roll my eyes at the fact she's alive.
"You're welcome," Tatum tells her snarkily before helping her out of the hole. Sidney lets out a sob when Derek falls forward revealing stab wounds to the back.
"Call someone," I tell them trying to hold back tears as I hold my father in my arms. The ambulance arrives minutes later. I would have been on my way to the hospital with everyone else but when an attendant mentioned they'd have to go to a different one since two sleeping patients woke up terrorizing the hospital.
My father would understand me needing to be there for my kids, so covered in blood I headed back to Woodsboro, baseball bat in the driver's seat.
Billy's POV
Waking up felt like a dream, it felt weird in my own skin, I pulled my sleeves back flexing my arms, staring at the many scars that appeared on my skin when I woke up. Distant screams catch my attention before I can follow a cop into the room.
His eyes immediately went to the passed-out cop by the hospital bed who was unlucky to be in the room when I woke up, my eyes followed his sight then back to him. He pulls his gun on me, I squint my eyes at the reflective surface behind him to see my eyes a deep red.
His eyes go wide as he pulls the trigger, and pain consumes my arm only for a second before quickly healing, before the man can react my hand is around his throat, and I squeeze about to crush his windpipe until I hear his Walkie.
"Need back up at Windsor College, two dead bodies and suspect female has gotten away,"
I try not to growl at the fact my mother is still alive and out there. I slam the cop's head against the wall knocking him out cold. I should've killed him, hell I want to, but the urge to hold my babies is stronger.
I head out of the hospital, walking by my assigned room I quickly noticed that Danny was awake and the bodies were his doing since I'm familiar with his torture methods. Taking the bike keys off a bloody corpse, I take his bike and head to Woodsboro.
After an hour or two I finally end up in Woodsboro, my heart races the closer I get to my kids, and when I pull up on the street my heart drops when I see the door's wide open. I rush inside. I immediately notice blood and follow the trail, Amara's mom sits against a cabinet clutching her thigh.
"Billy?!" she whispers, surprised, but I shush her putting my arms under her legs and back lifting her, she groans in pain as I sit her on the couch. I rip the long sleeves on my arms wrapping them tightly around her thigh.
"Your mom. She's here, she wants to kill me, she's with the twins " she groans out pulling herself up from the couch.
"I'll handle my mom," I tell her, I pick her back up carrying her to the bathroom, I tell her not to come out until I say so.
I pull my knife out of my boot as I quietly creep up the stairs, when I hear the cry of my baby I take off faster up the stairs slamming into the wall on my way to them. My heart races when I see my baby girl wiggling around her grandmother's arms. She looked like she wanted to escape. I look in the second bassinet to see my son sleeping peacefully.
When my mother notices me she holds my baby closer to her, I flex my fingers before gripping tighter on the knife. "She's beautiful, once we get rid of the rest of them it can just be us," she whispers more to the baby.
"Put her down," I tell her slowly trying to control my anger but the more she squirmed in her arms the more I felt the monster inside of me scratching the surface. She ignores me walking closer to me, once the baby sees me she stops squirming and just stares at me.
I place my knife down on the dresser next to me taking my baby girl out of her arms. She smiles up at me snuggling into my chest, my heart feels heavy as I bite back a smile. My mother tries to join the hug.
"I'm so sorry I haven't been there for you. But I'm here now," she hugs me, squeezing me against her.
"You knew my father was a drunk who beat on us and instead of taking me with you. You left me to suffer alone," I state moving away from her, I put the baby back in the bassinet, and I grab the knife on the dresser before turning back to my mother.
She eyes the knife in fear taking a step back but I quickly grab her arm keeping her in place, she scratches against my arm pulling for her life. "Please I'm sorry you can't do this I'm there Grandma,"
"No your a problem and I need you gone," before she can scream out or give any more excuses I slit her throat cutting way deeper than meaning to, her blood sprays out as her hand comes out to try to seal the cut that's too deep. I smile as she falls, losing more and more blood.
A laugh brings me out of my thoughts, my baby boy is now awake and standing up in the crib, and a sinking feeling tells me he just saw the whole thing. I wince when I see blood spatter on his cheek. I hurry and wipe it from his cheek.
"Let's keep this from Mommy okay," I whisper to him, he just cocks his head smiling, I'm gonna take that as a win. I picked my baby girl back up as she gets fussy probably from all the commotion tonight.
Loud footsteps echo as they come closer and closer up the stairs, she opens the door looking at the corpse of my mother, she pokes her with her bat before her eyes connect with mine. She was covered in blood and never looked more beautiful, her eyes filled with relief yet rage and love all at once. I couldn't tell if she wanted to hug me or kill me.
"Hey angel, missed me?"
"You're alive," she states dryly.
"Don't sound so disappointed Angel," she scoffs, taking a step forward.
"Before we fight, which I know we're gonna do. Can you tell me their names?"
"We'll You're holding Sam, and that's Warren," she tells me, reaching out a finger for him to grip onto. I smile down at my baby girl reaching my finger out for her to grab and she immediately does, my little Sam. The family I've always wanted with the woman I've always wanted to be with.
I just hope we can fix things between us.
