In the cozy, dimly lit room of the Occult Research Club, a celebratory atmosphere filled the air. The walls were adorned with crimson banners, and the table was laden with an array of delicious foods and drinks. The members of Rias's Peerage—Issei, Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko—stood together, chatting and laughing as they prepared to welcome their newest member.
Rias stood at the center, her presence commanding yet warm, as she addressed the group. "Everyone, I would like to formally welcome Asia Argento to our Peerage," she announced, her voice filled with pride and warmth. "Asia, you are now reborn as a devil and a valued member of the Gremory family."
Asia's eyes scanned the room, taking in the unfamiliar faces and surroundings. She still seemed a bit overwhelmed by the day's events, but her gaze lingered on Rias's warm smile.
"Thank you, Rias... everyone," she said softly, her voice trembling with emotion.
Issei, standing close by, smiled reassuringly at Asia. "Welcome to the team, Asia. We're all here for you."
Akeno approached with a beautifully decorated cake, placing it in the center of the table. "I made this cake to celebrate your rebirth and our new beginning together," she said, her voice gentle. "I hope you like it."
Asia's eyes sparkled with appreciation. "Thank you, Akeno. It's beautiful."
Kiba nodded in agreement, his smile kind and welcoming. "You're one of us now, Asia. If you ever need anything, just ask."
Koneko, though typically reserved, stepped forward and offered Asia a small smile. "Welcome, Asia."
Gohan, who had been standing slightly apart, approached Asia with a friendly smile. "It's good to see you awake and well, Asia. I'm Gohan."
Asia looked at Gohan curiously, sensing something different about him. "Thank you, Gohan. But... you don't feel like the others."
Rias stepped forward, her expression serious for a moment before softening again. "Asia, there's something you should know. Gohan isn't a devil like the rest of us. He's actually an alien, a Saiyan from another world."
Asia's eyes widened in surprise as she felt her mind reel with this revelation. "An alien?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.
Gohan chuckled softly. "It can be a lot to take in."
Akeno clapped her hands together, drawing everyone's attention. "Now, let's not let this cake go to waste. Everyone, dig in!"
As the group gathered around the table, the atmosphere grew even more lively. Laughter and conversation flowed easily, and Asia began to relax, feeling the genuine care and friendship radiating from her new family.
Issei raised his glass in a toast. "To Asia, our new friend and family member. May we share many happy times together!"
"To Asia!" everyone echoed, raising their glasses.
As they celebrated, Asia felt a warm sense of belonging wash over her. Despite the chaos and uncertainty that had led her here, she knew she was now part of something special. Surrounded by her new friends.
As the party began to wind down, the members of the Occult Research Club started to disperse, heading to their respective homes. The warm glow of camaraderie still lingered in the room, a testament to the night's celebrations. Asia, still feeling the joy of her new beginning, lingered a bit longer, chatting with Issei.
"Thank you for everything, Issei," Asia said, her eyes shining with gratitude. "I never imagined I'd find such wonderful friends."
Issei smiled warmly at her. "I'm glad you're here, Asia. How about we take a walk? The night air might be nice."
Asia nodded eagerly. "I'd like that."
As Issei and Asia left for their walk, Rias began tidying up the room, Akeno by her side. Suddenly, a familiar magical presence filled the space, and Rias turned to see her sister-in-law, Grayfia, standing elegantly at the doorway.
"Grayfia!" Rias exclaimed, surprised but pleased by the unexpected visit. "What brings you here?"
Grayfia stepped into the room, her demeanor as composed and regal as ever. "Good evening, Rias. I came to discuss an important matter with you."
Rias nodded, sensing the seriousness in Grayfia's tone. "Of course. What is it?"
Grayfia glanced around the room, making sure they were alone. "Rias, Sir Zech and I have been considering the well-being and efficiency of your Peerage. We believe it would be beneficial for all of you to live together in one building. This would foster greater unity and allow for better coordination in times of need."
Rias blinked, taken aback. "Living together? All of us? That's quite a sudden suggestion."
Grayfia smiled slightly. "Sir Zech owns a building that would be perfect for your needs. It's spacious and can be modified with magic to suit each member's preferences. We recommend that you all move in with Gohan. He's proven to be a reliable ally, and having him nearby would be advantageous. We will have everything ready for you all to move tomorrow."
Rias's eyes widened in surprise. "Tomorrow? That soon? Grayfia, I don't know if we're ready for such a sudden change."
Grayfia's expression softened but remained firm. "Rias, this move is for the best. With Gohan's strength and the unity it will bring to your Peerage, it's a necessary step. Sirzechs and I believe in this decision."
Akeno, who had been listening quietly, stepped forward. "Rias, I think Grayfia has a point. This could be a good opportunity for us."
Rias sighed, feeling the weight of the decision pressing down on her. "I understand the benefits, but it's just so sudden."
Grayfia nodded. "I know it's a lot to take in, but we will handle the arrangements. By tomorrow, the building will be ready for you all to move in."
Rias looked at Akeno, who gave her an encouraging nod. "Alright, Grayfia. We'll do it. But I expect everything to be prepared as you said."
Grayfia smiled, pleased with Rias's decision. "Thank you, Rias. I assure you, everything will be ready. This will be a positive change for your Peerage."
Grayfia nodded one last time before disappearing in a flash of light, leaving Rias and Akeno to ponder the upcoming changes.
Meanwhile, outside the clubhouse, Issei and Asia walked slowly under the moonlit sky, the cool night air refreshing after the lively party.
"Issei, I still can't believe everything that's happened," Asia said softly, glancing up at the stars.
Issei nodded, understanding her feelings. "I know it's a lot to take in, but we're all here for you, Asia. You're part of our family now."
Asia smiled, feeling a sense of peace. "Thank you, Issei. That means a lot to me."
The clubhouse was filled with the usual buzz of activity. Issei, as energetic as ever, was preparing to head out with Asia.
"Okay-dokie, I'm all set! Asia and I are gonna go hand out some flyers...! How 'bout it? You ready to go?" Issei pumped himself up, his enthusiasm infectious.
Rias, sitting at her desk, smiled warmly. "Hold on. I think you'll be glad to know your flyer days are over."
Issei blinked in surprise. "They are?"
"Relax, it's not a punishment. You've both done great work, but normally the hassle of running around, handing out flyers is the job of a familiar," Rias explained.
"Hell yeah! So what, is this sorta like a promotion?" Issei asked, excitement clear in his voice.
"Yeah, I guess you could look at it that way, but first things first: we need to find you two familiars. This is my familiar, Issei... I believe you two have met each other?" Rias said, gesturing towards a bat-like creature perched on her shoulder.
"And I've got one too, of course," Akeno chimed in, summoning a small, mischievous-looking imp to her side.
"Whoa, is that an imp?" Issei marveled, leaning in for a closer look.
"This is Shiro," Koneko spoke up, holding a cute white cat-like familiar in her arms.
"Shiro's very cute, Koneko," Gohan remarked, leaning over to admire the familiar. Koneko had a small smile at Gohan's words, a rare expression of her softer side.
"Mine's badass," Kiba added.
"I don't care about your tiny dancer," Issei retorted, trying to hide his envy.
"Why you gotta hate, man?" Kiba replied with a smirk.
"Don't be jealous, Issei, you'll get one... Familiars are a major part of being a devil; when you're in need, they're always there to back you up," Rias reassured him.
"That's great... only problem is, we have no idea how we're supposed to get one," Asia admitted, her brows furrowed in concern.
"That's the next step," Rias said, her eyes twinkling with anticipation.
Just then, a knock at the door interrupted them. "Yeah?" Akeno called out, her voice carrying over the chatter.
The door opened to reveal Sona Shitori and her Peerage, stepping inside with a composed air.
"Sorry to interrupt," Sona greeted, her tone formal.
Issei's eyes widened. "Whoa, what the heck is she doing here?!"
"Issei... Who are these people?" Asia asked
"The one in the middle is Sona Shitori, the student body president... And the girl with the glasses right behind her is Tsubaki Shira. It looks like they brought the rest of the council with them," Issei explained in a whisper, trying to contain his surprise.
Rias stood to meet Sona, her expression polite but curious. "Hello, Sona. What can I do for you?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to congratulate you on increasing the number of your servants," Sona replied, her eyes scanning the room.
"Hold on, how does she know about that?" Issei asked, confusion evident in his voice.
"Her real name's Sona Sitri, and she's not just the student council president, she's the next head of the House of Sitri, a big devil family," Akeno answered smoothly.
"Are you saying there are other devils at our school?" Issei asked, incredulity clear in his tone.
"Rias, I'm hurt to find out you didn't tell your little boyfriend about us, but I suppose if you don't trust him with inside info, then he must not be worth much to you, huh?" Saji mocked, stepping forward with a smug look.
Rias shot Saji a stern glance. "It's considered bad form to get involved in the affairs of other households, Saji. It's only natural that Rias held this back," Sona reprimanded, her voice calm but firm.
"Saji Genshiro... My pawn," Sona introduced, her tone neutral.
"This is my pawn, Issei Hyodo... And my bishop, Asia Argento," Rias responded, gesturing towards Issei and Asia.
"With that being said, I'm also interested in Gohan sitting over there too," Sona added, her gaze shifting to the Saiyan, who had been quietly observing the exchange.
Gohan looked up, meeting Sona's eyes with a calm and curious expression. "Why's that?" he asked.
Sona's eyes gleamed with interest. "Your power is... unique. It's not every day we come across someone with abilities like yours."
"Whoa, so you're a pawn too, dude...? Then that totally means we're twinsies!" Issei exclaimed, trying to lighten the mood.
"Can it, d-bag... You and your gaggle of slutty-sluts don't deserve to be in the same room as a group of distinguished devils like the Sitri's," Saji retorted, his tone dripping with contempt.
Gohan stood up, his expression serious. "I think you should apologize for your words, Saji."
"Why would I? I took up four pawns," Saji mocked, raising his hand.
"Issei took up eight pieces, and Gohan is stronger than everyone in this room. We could all gang up on him, and it would be pointless. It's always better to check your facts before you make a complete fool of yourself," Sona admonished, her tone sharp.
Saji mumbled an apology, his earlier bravado deflated.
"So you have been watching him," Rias noted, her curiosity piqued.
"How could I not, with a power like that?" Sona answered, her gaze returning to Gohan. "I'm always on the lookout for potential threats or allies. Gohan's abilities are on a level that demands attention."
Rias nodded, understanding the implications. "Gohan's power is indeed extraordinary. He's already proven to be a valuable member of House Gremory." waving her hand so the seal on Gohan's would glow.
Sona's expression softened slightly. "Then I trust you'll keep him in line, Rias. We wouldn't want any unnecessary conflicts."
"Of course," Rias agreed
Off to the side, Saji and Issei exchanged heated words, their rivalry evident.
"How's flyer duty treating you, Captain Whack-it? I don't do lame shit like that, 'cause I'm an actual member of the team! Getting a familiar and everything, bitch," Saji taunted, his tone dripping with arrogance.
Issei shot back, "Guess what, tool? I just got promoted from flyers and I'm getting a familiar too, so suck it!"
Their confrontation was interrupted by Sona, who addressed Rias with a curious expression. "Oh...! Is that your plan, Rias?"
"Yes... I was thinking of going next week, actually," Rias responded calmly.
Sona frowned slightly. "Well, that's a bit of a problem for us as he only takes people once a month."
Rias's eyes lit up with an idea. "In that case, why don't we have a friendly little contest to sort this whole thing out?"
"A contest?" Sona repeated, intrigued.
"Whoever wins earns the right to make their request first," Rias explained, a competitive edge in her voice.
"Surely you're not talking about a Rating Game," Sona said, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, no. We'd never get permission to do something like that," Rias assured her.
"Yes, you're right. Besides, this isn't the time to call attention to yourself, now is it?" Sona remarked, her tone slightly cautionary.
Rias's expression darkened briefly. "Don't go there," she warned.
Rias nodded, a smile returning to her face. "I know! We should settle this the good old-fashioned high school way: with sports!"
After a lengthy discussion, Rias and Sona finally agreed on a game of dodgeball to settle their dispute. The excitement in the room was palpable as the two Peerages prepared for the contest.
"Alright, dodgeball it is," Rias declared, her eyes shining with determination.
Sona nodded in agreement, a competitive glint in her eyes. "Two of my Peerage members and Gohan will referee. That should ensure fairness."
The gymnasium echoed with the sounds of grunts and thuds as the dodgeball game progressed, each team fiercely defending their side. The competition was intense, each player showcasing their unique skills and strengths.
Issei and Saji's rivalry took center stage, both hurling balls with all their might and dodging with remarkable agility. Koneko, with her feline grace, was an elusive target, making precise throws that often resulted in outs. Kiba's speed made him a formidable player, his movements a blur as he weaved through the onslaught of balls.
Akeno played strategically, her throws calculated and aimed to disrupt Sona's team's coordination. Asia, despite her gentle demeanor, showed surprising determination, her throws lacking power but making up for it with accuracy.
Sona's team displayed impeccable teamwork, their movements synchronized and their strategy clear. Each member played their part with precision, making it evident they were well-practiced.
Gohan kept a vigilant eye on the game, ensuring fairness and adherence to the rules. His presence added an extra layer of assurance that the match would be conducted with integrity.
As the game intensified, Tsubaki, in a moment of lapse, used a magic in her throw aimed at Rias. The air crackled with energy as the ball hurtled towards its target.
In a flash, Gohan appeared, catching the ball effortlessly with one hand and blowing the whistle with the other. The gymnasium fell silent, all eyes on Gohan.
"Out, Tsubaki. No magic," Gohan declared, his voice calm but firm.
Tsubaki's face flushed with embarrassment as she stepped to the side, acknowledging her mistake. Sona's expression was a mix of frustration and acceptance, knowing the rules had to be upheld.
With Tsubaki out, Sona's team readjusted their strategy, but the momentum had shifted. Rias's team capitalized on the distraction, their throws becoming more aggressive and coordinated.
Issei, sensing an opportunity, hurled a ball with all his might at Saji, finally hitting him square in the chest. Saji stumbled back, clearly surprised, and grudgingly stepped out.
The game continued, each team giving their all. Eventually, after a grueling match, it became clear that Rias's team had the upper hand. One by one, Sona's team members were hit and taken out, until only Sona herself remained.
Rias, with a determined glint in her eye, threw the final ball. Sona dodged, but Kiba was ready with a quick follow-up. The ball hit Sona, and the game was over.
Gohan blew the final whistle. "Game over! The victory goes to Rias's team!"
Cheers erupted from Rias's team as they celebrated their hard-earned win. Sona approached Rias, extending her hand.
"Well played, Rias. You and your team earned it," Sona said, her tone respectful despite the loss.
Rias shook her hand, a smile on her face. "Thank you, Sona. It was a good match."
With the game settled, the agreement was clear. Rias's team would get the first chance to make their request for familiars.
As Gohan sat alone in the clubhouse, his thoughts drifted to the bonds he had formed with each member of Rias's Peerage.
Rias, with her strong leadership and unwavering determination, had earned his respect from the very beginning. She was not just a master, but a friend, someone he could rely on in times of need. Her guidance and support had helped him navigate this new world with confidence.
Issei, despite his antics and sometimes reckless behavior, had a heart of gold. Gohan admired his determination to protect those he cared about, even if it meant putting himself in harm's way. Issei's boundless energy and optimism never failed to bring a smile to Gohan's face.
Akeno, with her calm demeanor and hidden strength, intrigued him. She had a depth to her character that Gohan found fascinating, and he respected her unwavering loyalty to Rias. There was a sense of mystery about her that he couldn't help but be drawn to.
Kiba, with his sense of honor and strong sense of justice, reminded Gohan of his own ideals. He admired Kiba's unwavering dedication to doing what was right, even in the face of adversity. Their shared values had brought them closer, forging a strong bond between them.
Koneko, with her quiet determination and hidden warmth, had surprised Gohan. Despite her stoic exterior, he could sense her kindness and her willingness to protect those she cared about. He admired her strength and resilience in the face of challenges.
Asia, with her pure heart and gentle spirit, had touched Gohan in a way he hadn't expected. Her innocence and compassion reminded him of the good in the world, and he found himself wanting to protect her from the harsh realities of their new life.
Each member of the Peerage had become like family to him, offering him support, friendship, and a sense of belonging in this unfamiliar world. As he sat there, Gohan couldn't help but feel grateful for the relationships he had built and the adventures they had shared together.
As Gohan reflected on his bonds with Rias's Peerage, his mind wandered to the idea of staying in this world permanently. It was a thought that had crossed his mind more than once, especially as he grew closer to his companions.
Joining a Peerage, whether it be Rias's or another, was certainly an option. The idea of continuing to fight alongside his friends, honing his skills, and exploring the mysteries of this world was enticing. He imagined the adventures they could have, the battles they could fight, and the victories they could achieve together.
But there was also a part of him that longed for the life he had left behind. His family, his friends, the familiar sights and sounds of home... It was a life he missed dearly, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at the thought of never returning.
Yet, as he weighed his options, Gohan couldn't deny the pull of this world. The endless possibilities of magic, the friendships he had forged, and the sense of purpose he had found here... It was a life worth living, even if it meant leaving his old one behind.
With a determined expression, Gohan made up his mind. He would stay in this world, at least for now, and continue to fight alongside Rias's Peerage. Who knows what the future held? Perhaps one day, he would find a way to bridge the gap between his two worlds. But for now, he was content to embrace the adventures and challenges that lay ahead.
As Gohan was lost in his contemplation, the clubhouse lit up as Rias's Peerage returned from their trip to the magical forest. Gohan's attention immediately shifted to them, curiosity gleaming in his eyes.
"Hey, Gohan!" Issei called out, grinning from ear to ear. "You won't believe what happened! Asia got herself a sprite dragon!"
Gohan's gaze shifted to Asia, who was cradling a small, winged creature in her arms. The sprite dragon was a magnificent sight, its scales shimmering in the light as it chirped happily.
"Wow, Asia, that's amazing!" Gohan exclaimed, moving closer to get a better look. The sprite dragon reminded him of his own dragon companion, Icarus, who he had left behind in his own world.
As Asia introduced her new familiar to the rest of the group, Gohan couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. Memories of his adventures with Icarus flooded his mind, from their first meeting to the battles they had fought together.
"Your sprite dragon is beautiful, Asia," Gohan remarked, his voice tinged with fondness. "It reminds me of my own dragon companion, Icarus."
Asia looked up at Gohan, her eyes bright with excitement. "Really? I'd love to hear more about Icarus sometime!"
Gohan smiled warmly. "I'd be happy to tell you all about him."
As Gohan, Asia, and Issei chatted excitedly about Asia's new familiar, Rias, Akeno, and Koneko exchanged knowing glances. They noticed a subtle change in Gohan's demeanor. He seemed more relaxed, more willing to engage with the group. It was as if the last wall had finally come down.
Akeno skipped over to Gohan, her ponytail bouncing behind her. "Ooh, you're having a blast with Asia and her new familiar! I can tell you're totally in your element!"
Gohan chuckled softly at Akeno's observation, feeling a sense of warmth from her words. "Yeah, it's nice to be part of something like this," he replied, his eyes reflecting genuine
Rias smiled warmly. "Absolutely. Gohan, I can't help but wonder about your experiences. Your world must be quite different from ours."
Gohan's expression softened, a touch of nostalgia in his eyes. "It is, in many ways. But being here, with all of you, has made this world feel like a new home."
Meanwhile, Koneko sat quietly to the side, observing the interaction with a small smile of her own. She had grown fond of Gohan, appreciating his quiet strength and kindness. Seeing him open up like this brought a sense of warmth to her heart.
Akeno, who had been listening in on the conversation, couldn't help but feel a tug at her heartstrings as she watched Gohan interact with Rias. There was something about the way he spoke, a sincerity that resonated deeply with her.
"You know, Gohan," Akeno chimed in, her voice soft but filled with warmth, "I think I understand what you mean. This world has a way of drawing you in, doesn't it? There's always something new to discover, and it's even better when you have friends to share it with."
Gohan nodded in agreement, a small smile forming on his lips. "Exactly. And having friends like all of you... it makes this world feel like home."
As the first light of dawn filtered through the windows, casting a soft glow over the surroundings, Rias and her Peerage gathered outside the impressive building Sirzechs Lucifer had prepared for them. Gohan, who already lived there, was the first to notice something different as he stepped outside for his morning workout.
"Huh?" Gohan muttered, his eyes widening in surprise as he saw additional rooms and modifications to the building.
Just as he was about to investigate further, a knock sounded on the door. Opening it, he found Rias and her entire Peerage standing there, all wide awake at 5 a.m.
"Gohan! Surprise!" Rias exclaimed, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Gohan blinked, taken aback by the unexpected visit. "Good morning. What's going on?"
Rias stepped forward, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "We're your new roommates!"
Gohan's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "My roommates?"
Rias nodded, her expression gleeful. "Yes, Sirzechs Lucifer gave us permission to live here. Isn't it exciting?"
Akeno wore a flowing purple skirt with a matching jacket, her hair styled perfectly as always. Rias looked stunning in a red skirt paired with a black jacket. Asia sported a bright yellow skirt with a white blouse, while Koneko opted for a simple yet elegant white skirt and black tank top. Kiba looked cool in a black jacket and dark jeans, while Issei, in a casual white shirt and dark blue jeans, seemed less thrilled about the early hour.
"Why do we have to move so early?" Issei grumbled, rubbing his eyes. "Can't we do this later?"
Rias chuckled. "Sorry, Issei. But we need to get settled in today."
Akeno stepped forward, her eyes sparkling as she took in Gohan's appearance. "My, my... you're even more impressive up close," she remarked, her tone flirtatious.
Rias raised an eyebrow at Akeno's boldness but couldn't help but be amused. "Akeno, behave yourself," she chided playfully.
Meanwhile, Asia, Kiba, Issei, and Koneko stood nearby, their eyes widening in shock as they took in Gohan's ripped physique and numerous scars.
"Whoa... Gohan, what happened to you?" Issei asked, his voice filled with concern.
Gohan chuckled, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "Just a few battle scars. You know how it is."
Asia gasped softly, her eyes lingering on a particularly large scar on his left shoulder. "It looks like you've been through a lot," she said softly, her heart going out to him.
Gohan smiled warmly at Asia's concern. "I have, but I'm still standing," he replied, his voice carrying a note of resilience.
Issei raised an eyebrow at Gohan's nonchalant attitude. "You're really okay with all this?" he asked.
Gohan grinned at Issei's grumpy expression. "Yeah, I am," he said confidently.
Asia smiled sympathetically at Issei's skepticism. "I'm sure it won't be so bad once we're all settled," she said optimistically.
Gohan grinned at Asia's optimism. "Exactly," he said. "Come on in, everyone," he said, stepping aside to let them enter. "Welcome to your new home."
As everyone entered the kitchen, "Gohan, what smells amazing?" Issei said, his face lit up with excitement, as he gazed at the spread.
"Well, I was making breakfast," Gohan said.
"There's enough food to feed an army, dude!" Issei exclaimed.
"I eat a lot," Gohan replied with a chuckle. "But feel free to join me, everyone!"
With everyone gathered around the table, Issei couldn't help but voice his burning question.
"Hey Gohan, how are you so strong? Is it just because you're a Saiyan?" Issei asked, his curiosity evident in his voice.
Gohan paused mid-bite, considering Issei's question with a thoughtful expression. "Well, being a Saiyan definitely helps," he began, setting down his fork. "But it's not just that. It's years of training, pushing myself to the limit, and learning from every battle I've faced."
Akeno leaned forward, intrigued. "So, it's not just about your natural strength as a Saiyan, but also your dedication and hard work?" she asked.
Gohan nodded. "Exactly. My dad, Goku, always taught me that strength comes from within, from the desire to protect the ones you care about." He smiled warmly. "And that's something I've always kept in mind during my training."
"I don't buy it, What was your first fight like?" Gohan chuckled at Issei's skepticism, appreciating the chance to share some of his experiences. "My first real fight... Well, it was pretty intense," he began, his expression thoughtful as he recalled the memories.
"I was just a child, barely five years old, when Nappa and Vegeta arrived on Earth," he began, his voice tinged with sadness. "They were ruthless, powerful... and they didn't hesitate to attack. I watched as many of my dad's close friends fell in battle. Even my mentor Mr Piccolo give his life so I could live"
The room grew quiet, the weight of Gohan's words sinking in as the gravity of the situation became apparent.
"I remember feeling powerless, terrified," Gohan continued, his gaze distant as he relived the memories. "But even then, I knew I had to do something. I couldn't just stand by while innocent people were hurt."
Akeno reached out, placing a comforting hand on Gohan's shoulder, offering silent support.
"We fought with everything we had," Gohan continued, his voice steadier now, filled with determination. "My dad, Piccolo, Krillin, and the others... We stood together against Nappa and Vegeta, refusing to give up even when the odds seemed impossible."
Issei's eyes widened, a mix of awe and sympathy filling them as he listened to Gohan's story.
"It was a brutal battle," Gohan concluded, a hint of sadness still lingering in his voice. The room fell into a solemn silence, each member of the Peerage absorbing the weight of his words.
Issei felt a surge of respect for Gohan, his eyes reflecting the admiration and empathy he felt. "That sounds incredibly tough, Gohan. I can't even imagine going through something like that at such a young age."
Gohan nodded, a small, grateful smile touching his lips. "It was, but it also made me stronger. And it showed me the importance of protecting those we care about."
Rias placed a reassuring hand on Gohan's shoulder. "Thank you for sharing that with us, Gohan. Your strength and resilience inspire us all."
Issei felt a surge of determination welling up inside him as he looked at Gohan, inspired by his story and eager to learn from him. But he wasn't sure how to broach the subject, especially after hearing about the hardships Gohan had endured.
After a moment of contemplation, Issei cleared his throat, breaking the silence that had settled over the room. "Gohan, your strength and determination are incredible," he began, his voice earnest. "I want to get stronger too, to protect those I care about. Would you... could you train me?"
Gohan looked at Issei, his eyes softening with understanding and respect. "Of course, Issei. I'd be glad to help you train," he replied, a warm smile crossing his face. "But training to become stronger isn't easy. It takes dedication, hard work, and a lot of determination."
Issei nodded eagerly, his determination shining in his eyes. "I'm ready for it, Gohan. I'll do whatever it takes to get stronger," he said firmly.
Rias, Akeno, and Kiba exchanged knowing glances, silently acknowledging Issei's resolve.
Rias spoke up, her voice filled with encouragement. "Issei, Gohan will be an excellent mentor for you. Just remember to stay focused and give it your all."
"Alright, Issei, we'll start with some basic endurance training," Gohan said, his voice filled with energy. "We'll work on building your stamina and resilience, laying a strong foundation for your growth."
Issei nodded eagerly, ready to dive into the training. "I'm ready, Gohan. Let's do this!"
As they finished their breakfast, Gohan and Issei prepared to head out to start their training. Issei could feel the anticipation building within him, eager to push himself to new limits under Gohan's guidance.
Rias offered a supportive smile. "Good luck, Issei. We'll be rooting for you!"
Akeno chimed in, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Remember to pace yourself, Issei. Training is as much about control as it is about strength."
With words of encouragement ringing in his ears, Issei followed Gohan out of the door, ready to begin his journey to become stronger.
As Rias watched Gohan and Issei leave, a sense of pride swelled within her. She turned back to Akeno, Kiba, Koneko, and Asia, a warm smile gracing her lips.
"It's good to see them so motivated," Rias remarked, her eyes reflecting her confidence in their abilities.
Akeno nodded in agreement. "Yes, Gohan will be an excellent mentor for Issei. I have no doubt they'll make great progress together."
Kiba's eyes gleamed with determination. "Issei's training will be intense, but I believe he's up for the challenge."
Koneko, ever the stoic one, simply nodded, her expression betraying a hint of anticipation for Issei's growth.
Asia clasped her hands together, a look of hope shining in her eyes. "I'm sure Issei will become even stronger with Gohan's guidance. I can't wait to see how much he'll improve."
As they gathered around the table once more, the atmosphere was filled with a mix of excitement and anticipation for the day's training. But before diving into their own plans, they couldn't help but reflect on Gohan's story.
"That was quite a tale Gohan shared," Akeno remarked, her voice thoughtful. "To face such powerful enemies at such a young age... It's truly remarkable."
Kiba nodded in agreement. "Indeed. The bravery and determination Gohan showed during the Saiyan invasion are admirable. It's no wonder he's become so strong."
Koneko, who had been listening quietly, spoke up. "It's also a reminder of the dangers we face as Devils. We must always be prepared to defend ourselves and those we care about."
Asia looked somber, her thoughts drifting to the hardships Gohan had endured. "I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for him, especially losing his mentor, Mr. Piccolo..."
Rias nodded, her expression reflecting a mixture of respect and sympathy. "Gohan's experiences have shaped him into the person he is today. His resilience and determination are truly inspiring."
Akeno leaned forward, her eyes meeting Rias's. "But it also shows us the importance of our own training and growth. We must strive to become stronger, not only for ourselves but for the safety of everyone around us."
Rias smiled, her confidence shining through. "You're right, Akeno. Let's use Gohan's story as motivation for our own training. Together, we'll continue to grow stronger and face whatever challenges come our way."
With renewed determination, they began discussing their training plans, each member inspired by Gohan's journey and eager to push themselves to new heights.
As Issei, Asia, and Kiba entered the club house, they were enveloped by the aroma of freshly brewed tea and sweet cookies wafting through the air. Inside, Rias sat behind her desk, her eyes fixed on Issei with an unreadable expression. Akeno and Grayfia stood on either side of her, their faces serious and formal. Koneko lounged on the couch, her eyes half-closed as she listened to the soft hum of conversation.
"Well," Rias began, her voice measured and smooth as silk. "everyone's here..."
There was a brief pause before Grayfia spoke up, her voice formal and regal. "My lady if you don't mind, may I have your permission to speak openly?"
Rias waved her hand in a languid motion. "For those who don't know me, I am Sir Zech's queen."
The room fell silent for a moment, the only sound the soft ticking of a clock in the distance. Then, without warning, a faint glow began to emanate from the center of the room. The air seemed to vibrate with an otherworldly energy as a summoning circle materialized before them. The soft rustle of papers followed by a burst of flames announced the arrival of a Phoenix.
As everyone watched in awe, a tall and handsome young man in his early 20's with short blond hair and dark blue eyes stepped out of the flames. His burgundy blazer with gold embroidery on the right matched his burgundy pants and black dress shoes perfectly. Underneath his open blazer was a white dress shirt that was not fully buttoned, giving a slight view to his chest.
"My beloved Rias," he said, his voice smooth as honey, "I've come all this way to see you."
Issei's eyes narrowed slightly as he took in Riser's presence. "Who is this guy?" he muttered under his breath.
Grayfia stepped forward, her voice formal as ever. "This is Lord Riser Phoenix, a pureblooded devil of noble birth and third heir in line to the House of Phoenix."
Issei raised an eyebrow. "And what does that mean?"
Grayfia's expression remained impassive. "It means he is also engaged to be married to Lady Rias."
Issei's eyes widened in shock. "You're kidding me! You're getting married?"
Rias stood up, her eyes flashing with anger. "Why don't you understand...? I have no intention of ever marrying you," she declared, moving away from Riser.
"But, my darling... Riser believes your family's circumstances are still such that you cannot afford to be so selfish," Riser responded, his voice dripping with condescension.
"I will not bring my family to ruin... I have no intention of denying you your right to our name... However, let me be clear, my husband will be my choice," Rias stated firmly, her gaze unwavering.
"Remember, it's imperative for devils to remain pureblood... We're still recovering our numbers from the last war. Both your father and Sirzechs decided on this arrangement with the future of devils in mind," Riser countered, his tone growing more insistent.
"My father, my brother, and my whole clan made this decision because they are in too great a rush. For the final time... Riser... I will not marry you," Rias said, her voice resolute.
"For the final time, Rias... Riser bears the reputation of the House of Phoenix... Besmirching our good name is unacceptable," Riser snapped, grabbing Rias forcefully.
"Hey!" Issei spoke up, stepping forward with clenched fists.
"Riser doesn't care if he has to incinerate everyone in this room... You will return to the underworld with me," Riser threatened, his grip on Rias tightening.
"There's no need for incineration. My lady Rias, Lord Riser... As you know, I am here by order of Sirzechs... Which means... There will be no disruption of peace," Grayfia interjected, her presence commanding the room.
"When told such an ominous thing by one who is known as the ultimate queen... Even Riser can become somewhat fearful," Riser admitted reluctantly, releasing Rias and stepping back slightly.
Riser smiled smoothly, sitting down beside Rias on the couch. The room fell silent once more before Gohan burst in through the door. "Sorry I'm late, guys," he said, out of breath, "I was helping a teacher put away some things."
The group turned to him, surprised by his sudden arrival. Gohan glanced around, quickly assessing the situation and noting the expressions on everyone's faces. Riser's smug confidence, Rias's defiance, and the rest of the group's mixed emotions were all apparent.
Gohan, sensing the tension, moved closer to Issei, ready to support his friend if needed. "Is everything okay here?" he asked cautiously, his eyes darting between Rias and Riser.
"Everything is under control, Gohan," Rias reassured him, though her tone held an edge of uncertainty. "This is a matter of family honor and personal choice."
Riser's gaze shifted to Gohan, his eyes narrowing slightly. "And who might you be?" he asked, his voice laced with disdain.
"I'm Gohan, a friend of Rias and the others," Gohan replied evenly, not intimidated by Riser's haughty demeanor.
Riser scoffed. "Riser can't believe you hang around human scum. How the house of Gremory has fallen."
Grayfia stepped forward again, her expression stern. "Lord Riser," she began, only to stop as she noticed Gohan walking around the couch and towards them.
"That was quite disrespectful, you know," Gohan said, now standing a meter or two away from Riser.
"Riser only respects the strong, human," Riser retorted, his tone dripping with arrogance.
Issei yells "Gohan would wipe the floor with you asshole!"
Riser's eyes glinted with interest and amusement. "Oh really, if the human can prove their strength, then perhaps Riser will grant you a modicum of respect."
Rias looked worried, stepping forward to intervene but Grayfia interjected, her voice calm yet firm, "If my lady insists on putting her personal preferences above those of her family... she is to settle this via a Rating Game with Lord Riser."
Rias's eyes widened in surprise. "A Rating Game? But—"
"Oh, Miss..." Gohan started.
"Grayfia," she corrected, her expression still serious.
"Miss Grayfia, this match isn't about Rias versus Riser. It is myself versus Riser," Gohan stated confidently.
Riser's eyes lit up with amusement and interest. "No, Riser likes this idea. Add the human to Rias's team and let's have a Rating Game," he declared, a sly smile forming on his lips.
Grayfia nodded in approval. "Very well. The Rating Game will be arranged. Lord Riser, you will face Lady Rias and her team, which will include Gohan."
Riser grinned. "Excellent. Riser looks forward to this challenge."
With that, Riser smirked and vanished, teleporting away in a burst of flames. Grayfia turned to the group, her expression composed. "I will speak with you after we work out the details," she said, her voice authoritative and calm. Then, with a graceful motion, she too teleported away, leaving the room in a tense silence.
Rias sighed, a mixture of relief and anxiety visible on her face. "This is going to be tough," she admitted, looking at her friends.
Issei clenched his fists. "We can do this. We have Gohan on our side."
Rias nodded. "We'll train hard and make sure we're ready. We are going to train so every pack we will leave tomorrow morning"
