Chapter 35

Sukuna was out with Ryoto, spending as much time as he can with him before his soon to be growth spurt. Yet, some time had passed, he got a cheque recently for a few million for his movie role, but has yet to cash the cheque, he didn't care about the money anyways.

Yet, as he wondered the streets with his son, he noticed something odd.

"Father… look!" Ryoto whispered in excitement.

In various store fronts, he saw toys, shirts, and different things… with his face on them… but in his Ganondorf makeup. "What is this?" he whispered.

"Merchandise!" Ryoto cheered. "Father, it's from your movie!"

He was inspired, in fact, they happened to be near a movie theater, and he has yet to see a show. 'I have been kicked through a movie theater but have yet to sit in one…' he thought. "Want to go see the movie?"

Ryoto's eyes sparkled, he nodded with excitement as they approached the box office. "One adult and one child for the Zelda movie"

"Yeah, you and everyone else! I'm sorry sir, the movie is sold out for today." The box office explained.

"Sold out?"

"We have it in four theaters, the largest ones we have, but… we sold out for today… in fact, until next week."

"But, my father is in the movie!" Ryoto protested.

The man peered at Sukuna oddly. "You?"

"He's Ganondorf!" Ryoto said proudly. "You don't want one of the stars of a movie in your theater to see his own production!?"

"Son…" Sukuna said in a warning tone.

Thankfully, no one believed his son. At the same time, it was getting unwanted attention. "Perhaps another time then," he took Ryoto away who thought he should get to see the movie.

"Father, this isn't fair!" Ryoto protested. "We worked hard on that but haven't seen it finished!"

He nodded to Ryoto's comment, at the same time…

He took a knee. Ryoto was tearing up in frustration when Sukuna said. "You can't always get everything you want, when you want it." He said gently. "We are going to see that movie, I promise you we will. But it wasn't our day today. But I vow, we will see it."

His son was showing his greedy and unreasonable side for once… good, perhaps he can nip this in the bud before he starts thinking like him in his madness days. Granted, he still had half a mind to sneak into the theater and empty one out very suddenly or even sneak his son into one of the shows…

Chusi would kill him if he did.

"Still… I find it unfair, I thought we would have been invited to the premiere or something! It wasn't even advertised!"

He had a point. Humans tend to make a big deal out of a movie, and yet there wasn't any advertisement for this, in fact, he hardly saw anything until today, and they said the movie has been out for a while?

"Let's head home, I think I know who can answer that for us…"

Later…

"You know, that is fishy…"

Of all the people in the domain to ask, he had to consult with the knockoff. When he told him what was learned today, the knockoff paused and found it odd that this wasn't highlighted or advertised. "Let me make some calls…" He took out his cellphone and was on it for a good half an hour. When he finished, he appeared rather taken aback.

"Do you want the short list or a proper explanation?"

Sukuna sighed, for the sake of his son, he asked for a proper explanation. "Okay, so that Link actor had set you up for failure, the movie was shown to the investors as well as some people from Nintendo. Those who commissioned the movie were pissed off that it wasn't the movie they assumed it was going to be. The Link actor asshole apparently made certain this was doomed to fail from the start to ruin the director's career… apparently he has a grudge against her since she has no problem holding him accountable and calls him out on his actions. So they scrapped the movie for a North American release, however, a business man from Japan, has bought it, it's only being shown here… the problem is now, foreigners have seen the movie… and are pissed that THEY don't have a release date for it."

"And?" Sukuna asked. "What else?"

The knockoff checked his phone. "Well, I brought this up with my friend D'angelo, remember we met one of his familiars in Hollywood? Well, he's got an arrangement in place now. We're all going to see it tonight!"

Ryoto froze. "Tonight? You promise?!"

"Kid, I wouldn't be bragging if I didn't get the theater booked. I know people…" he said and smiled wickedly. "So, I suggest you get a nap in, it's a late show, and make sure you ask your mother for permission."

Ryoto nodded feverishly and rushed off, shouting for his mother. Sukuna sighed as he peered at the knockoff. "What aren't you telling me?"

He smirked a little. "The thing is, since you are a no name actor… the world is now in search of you. The Link actor said before that the Ganondorf character was all CGI… however, there is footage online of you in your full make up interacting with others on the set. So someone is out to tarnish your work…"

"I could care less about that. I want to see my son happy."

"Good on you then," The knockoff put his phone away, but smirked. "Man, if people notice you more as Ganondorf than the king of curses… I'd take that as a win!"

"Shut up…" he growled.

Before long, the whole domain was abuzz with the notion of seeing the movie tonight, apparently, everyone is interested to see how well he can act.

Then again, Sukuna thinks many people here are aware as to how good he can act, after all, he has deceived people many times over and for many different reasons!
