One day you'll get sick of saying That everything's alright.
Rin went into labor 7 months later, and Kagome had happily agreed to birth her child for her.
It had been a warm night, and Kagome walked back to her hut after washing the blood off, but she was still covered in light sweat, which is why she was carrying a bowl of water back.
She entered her hut and stilled, "Sesshomaru!"
He sat against the wall but opened his eyes as she walked in and sat the water down.
"Rin gave birth," She said,
"I am aware."
"I didnt know you were here."
"I do not always give my location away, Miko,"
She smiled as she began to wash her arms and neck. He watched her closely.
"It's a girl,"
"I am aware,"
She washed her face,
"Are you going to go visit?"
"Perhaps later she should rest."
"Mmm," Kagome dried off her skin; tomorrow, she would go for a real bath.
"Does it not bother you?" He asked, and she looked at him. "What?"
"That they have all moved on, and you are left?"
"Well, when you say it like that," She rolled her eyes,
"Do you not wish to have children, Miko?"
"I mean, I hoped to one day, sure, but it's kinda hard to see in my mind's eye when there isn't someone to have a child with,"
"You are getting older,"
"God, you sound like Rin, Sesshomaru. I am still young,"
"Women here are spinsters by the later 20s woman."
"Thanks for pointing that out." She tossed the water out the door and put the bowl away.
"You plan on staying here?"
"Where else would I go?"
He shrugged, and she sighed. "I'll tell you, like I told Rin, im fine. I wish people would stop asking me that; you, of all people, should know how it feels."
He stood "Hn," He looked at her "One day Miko you will get sick of saying everything is alright, and by then, it may be too late."
Then he left again.
Kagome sighed and looked down, sadness rushing over her. "It takes two; what would you have me do about it all alone," She whispered.
