Chapter 19: Toy Box Part III
Aqua and Yuffie found themselves standing in front of a big metal door that was opening upward.
"Okay...what's going on?" Yuffie asked.
"Search me," Aqua responded.
Yuffie also had a lit flare in her hand, which was even more confusing. The door lifted up all the way, revealing a dark forest inside. But the thing that drew the girls' attention was the heavy foot stomps coming toward them! In the shadows, they saw a T-Rex coming toward them.
"Oh Rex, there you are!" Yuffie exclaimed happily.
"Uh, he doesn't look friendly this time...!" Aqua stammered.
Shockingly, Rex had become a REAL T-Rex instead of still being a toy; big, green, scaly, a mean look on his face, and eyes with the pure look of a predator, to eat and kill.
Aqua sensed a strong darkness coming from nearby,
"Yuffie, follow me, and keep the flare! I think it's to lead Rex!"
"If you say so!" The ninja girl responded, before she and Aqua ran toward where the darkness was coming from.
Rex followed after them, letting out a powerful, ear-piercing roared that shook the air! The girls ran till they came to the main plaza of what looked like a theme park, where they saw another dinosaur, which was the source of the darkness! It was a grayish-white color, slightly larger and longer than Rex, with bigger arms than Rex, and some long sharp claws. It had spikes, horns and what looked like quills on its head that went down it's back to the middle of its tail. It's mouth had razor sharp teeth, all different sizes, some of them were even broken.
"...Ohhh, this is a problem," said Yuffie, nervously.
"Throw the flare at it!" Aqua told her, which she did.
The girls jumped out of the way as Rex broke apart a Spinosaurus skeleton, and roared at the Indominus Rex, who roared back! Aqua and Yuffie moved a safe distance away from the two dinosaurs as they glared at each other. Rex roared as he whipped the Indominus Rex in the face with his tail, knocking it back!
It quickly recovered and charged at Rex, who charged as well.
Once they clashed, Rex chumped his teeth into the I-Rex's neck, who clawed at his face and neck, trying to break free! The two kept chomping at each other's throats, but then the I-Rex clawed at Rex's face and neck, not giving him time to retaliate, then pushed him down on to the ground.
Rex roared in distress, so Yuffie threw some kunai and shuriken at the I-Rex, drawing it's attention away. Aqua used some Water Magic to hit I-Rex in the face, distracting it from Rex, then some weird sound rang out. It was impossible to describe.
The girls turned to see a pale green Velociraptor, with three blue stripes running from the back of its head, down it's back to its tail, running toward the I-Rex, screeching!
It jumped off of Rex's head to climb onto the I-Rex's back, where it began to bite and claw at its back!
"Rex, can you get up?!" Aqua asked, while Rex grunted as he began to pick himself up. "Good!"
He then clomped the I-Rex's neck in his mouth again, and pushed it into a building! The raptor jumped onto Rex's back so she wouldn't get knocked off.
"YIKES!" Yuffie cried as she ran out of the way.
Aqua fired a blast of ice at the I-Rex, knocking it into another building, before Rex grabbed it by the neck again and pulled it to the ground. The raptor and Yuffie jumped at its face as it got back up, slashing, biting and clawing. Rex charged and rammed into its side toward a large pool of water, breaking the guard fence.
The I-rex got up again and roared at Rex and the raptor, who roared back.
Then, a gigantic Mosasaur came leaping out of the water and chomped onto the I-Rex's neck! It easily subdued it and dragged it underwater.
"...I was wondering what was in there," said Yuffie, her eyes bugging out of her head.
Rex and the raptor looked at each other, giving a very subtle nod, before the raptor ran off.
Once it was gone, Rex glowed brightly and shrunk. Once the glow died down, he was a toy again.
"Rex, you okay?" Aqua asked.
"I...feel...FANTASTIC!" Rex exclaimed.
Soon, he started going into an excited banter while Aqua and Yuffie laughed.
Sora, Kairi, Donald and Goofy arrived by a small waterfall in a forest.
"Okay...anybody know where we are?" Sora asked.
"No clue," said Kairi. "It's actually kind of pretty, though!"
"But where are the others?" Goofy asked.
"Search me," Donald answered.
"Hello~!" Sora called out. "Riku? Yuffie? Aqua?"
"Terra? Axel?" asked Kairi. "Woody? Buzz? Rex? Slinky?"
"Could you guys quiet down?!" A whiny voice called out.
The group turned to see a guy in an Organization coat sitting against a tree, looking like he'd just woken up from a nap. He had green eyes and dirty-blond hair in an odd mullet-like style, with several individual bangs that fell over his face. He was also rather youthful in appearance compared to most of the other members.
Sora, Donald and Goofy immediately recognized him. Demyx, Number IX, the Melodies of Nocturne of Organization XIII. Originally destroyed by Sora, Donald and Goofy during Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden's Battle of 1000 Heartless.
"You again?!" Donald quacked in annoyance.
"Who's he?" Kairi asked.
"...You know, we never actually found out his name," Sora admitted sheepishly.
"His name's Demyx," Roxas told them. "He was always laid back, and you guys know he wasn't that strong. But, the reason he was part of the Organization is because he's good at recon."
"Hey Roxas, long time no see," Demyx waved, getting up.
"Looks like you got the short end of the stick again," Roxas said.
"Tell me about it," Demyx whined in agreement. "I keep telling them that I'm the wrong guy to send!"
"Then maybe you shouldn't have joined them," Kairi told him.
"Not like I had much choice," Demyx summoned his Sitar, Arpeggio. "Oh well, let's get to it!"
He jumped over to the waterfall, landing on the small lake like it was a foothold,
"DANCE WATER, DANCE!"
He then began to play a riff, causing the water around the group to form into clones of himself.
"Is there a plan, Sora?" asked Kairi.
"Hit em with fire!" he responded, summoning his Keyblade, then cast a Firaga spell, destroying many water clones. Kairi and Donald followed suit, cast Firaga spells as well, while Goofy spun around the area, hitting every clone he could.
"Time for some magic, Sora!" Donald called out, and soon, he and Sora jumped into the air and released a flurry of Fireworks, hitting the Demyx clones.
Demyx strummed his sitar, making a huge tower of water lift him into the air, and the water rose out of the lake, flooding the area.
"What the?!" Sora exclaimed. "This is new!"
"And there's more!" Demyx shouted, before he began a slow strumming melody, like the intro to a song.
Then the sound of drums and a bass came out of nowhere in the background, and Demyx performed an impressive guitar/sitar intro, at a much faster pace. It may have seemed like he was just performing, but for every note he played, a pillar of water would erupt around Sora, Kairi, Donald and Goofy, like it was copying the rhythm!
Then, Demyx even began to sing,
"I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes~!"
The water towers matching the notes erupted under the heroes, blowing them into the air.
"I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back~"
"WHOA!" Sora cried as he was sent flying.
"I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a new born baby it just happens every day~!"
It soon became a task of dodging the water towers for the heroes, almost like dancing.
"I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door I must have it painted black~!"
Goofy threw his shield at Demyx, but it phased right through him! His body seemed to turn into water right as the shield was about to hit him!
"Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facin' up, when your whole world is black~!"
Then, Goofy ended up getting hit by the water!
"I thought you said he wasn't that strong!" Kairi exclaimed.
"He wasn't!" Sora defended himself.
Donald cast a Thundaga spell, which managed to hit Demyx!
"AAAAAAGH, CRAP!" He screamed in pain as all the water he'd summoned drained away, and the tower he was standing on disappeared, making him fall into the lake.
"You got him, Donald!" Sora exclaimed.
"Hahahahaha!" Donald laughed as he crossed his arms, triumphantly.
Demyx crawled out of the water, twitching with crackling electricity,
"Dammit, that bitch is gonna hold this over my head forever!"
AN: (He meant Larxene)
He opened a dark portal in the ground, and he sank into it.
"Okay, guess that's it," Sora said.
"Now what?" Donald asked.
The scenery changed to a large city-like landscape, and the rest of the toys and off-worlders were there.
"Guys! You're okay!" Sora called out to them.
"Was there ever any doubt?" Riku sarcastically asked.
"We ran into Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Jessie and Bullseye," Woody said. "So, I think they're safe now."
"That's good," Buzz sighed in relief.
"So, even empty puppets can be given strong hearts," Young Xehanort's voice spoke out. "I'll be sure to remember that."
"And now we know a heart can be placed in a vessel of our choosing," Ruxik added. "As a reward for showing us that, here's a parting gift."
They vanished through a dark portal as a mass amount of shadows gathered toward each other, forming a giant shape!
"Holy crap, what is that?!" asked Axel.
"I don't know, but I think we're about to find out!" Kairi answered as everyone took their stances.
The shadows formed into a giant, lavender colored Heartless that resembled a UFO, with the head of an armored knight.
"Go!" Sora yelled as everyone charged, only for the Heartless to start firing missiles at them, forcing them to scatter.
Rex began to turn giant as Woody jumped on his back, while Buzz activated his wings and began to fly around, firing his laser at the UFO's head. Sora summoned his KeyBoard, hopped on, and summoned Oblivion, before he also started flying around. Kairi changed into her Angel Form and Riku's Guardian appeared behind him, then both of them flew after Sora.
Then, they started whaling on the Heartless' head, all at once. However, it soon flipped over, sending them all flying in different directions. Terra and Aqua flew around on their Keyblade Gliders, launching magic attacks as the UFO rolled around on it's side, firing missiles.
They flew around, trying to dodge, but then Aqua got hit!
"AAAAAAAH!" she screamed.
"AQUA!" Mickey cried out.
"I got her!" Terra shouted as he flew down and caught her in his arms. "Gotcha!"
"Thanks," she replied.
Woody fired his six-shooter pistol with pinpoint accuracy, while Mickey and Yuffie jumped from building to building, throwing projectiles or launching Pearl attacks. At that moment, the Heartless started to smoke and sparks started flying out.
"I think we're really damaging it!" Kairi shouted. "But we need more!"
Suddenly, the buildings and blocks started flying everywhere!
Donald cast a Graviga spell, causing the flying buildings and blocks to fly towards the UFO Heartless, bombarding it with heavy hits!
"Donald! Keep them up there!" Sora called out as he used the bricks as platforms to jump across.
Suddenly, the Heartless began to spin rapidly, creating a tornado!
"Whoa!" Riku cried as he and the others tried to hold on to the ground.
"Sora, be careful!" Kairi called out, but Sora managed to hang on long enough for him to grab onto one of the bricks.
Woody and Buzz flew up on a red and blue colored rocket, grabbing Sora as they flew by. As they flew, Donald and Aqua cast Aeroga spells to counter the tornado. As it died down, Buzz fired his laser, Woody fired his pistol and Sora launched Firaga attacks at the UFO's head! Once they flew the rocket directly above it's head, they looped around and jumped off, sending the rocket to crash into the UFO's head, destroying it!
As the rest of it's body crashed, the whole area flashed white, blinding everyone.
Once everyone could see again, they saw that they were back in Andy's room.
"We're...we're back home?" asked Jessie.
"We sure are!" Hamm said cheerfully, looking out the window. "There's other people around and cars driving by!"
A Keyhole appeared on the toybox designed like a wagon, so Riku sealed it.
"Well, looks like we're done here," said Riku. "Time for us to head out."
"You're leaving?" asked Woody.
"Don't worry!" Sora answered. "We'll be back to visit every once in a while!"
"You're going after Xehanort, right?" Rex asked.
"Yeah," Kairi replied.
"Well, know that our hearts will always be connected," Buzz said.
Everyone nodded at that.
That's it for Toy Story's world!
To be honest; I felt a little disappointed by the story that was done for this world, but I couldn't think of any other plot.
