And just like any other day I got up and I left for school with Bella, The ride was quiet and not our usual silence. It was an uncomfortable and tense silence. Both our minds were heavy with thought though neither of us were aware of each other's thoughts.
What was Edward thinking? I thought
I slowly turned to look at Bella who was focused on the road.
She seems to be playing the whole thing off. I bit my cheek and turned back towards the window.
Maybe I'm overthinking. Yeah, that's it… right?
And just like that the day dragged on, I didn't catch sight of any of the Cullens… which was a bit… weird.
I'm overthinking again.
I sighed and decided I head back home early, maybe give a call to Cullen, besides schools about to end too anyways.
I raised my hand interrupting the teacher.
"May I go to the bathroom please?" I say to which she gives a curt nod. Quickly I grab my bag and dart out the door. I looked back and forth to see if anyone was there. Ok, now time to escape! I thought and ran out the main door and just like that I got on a taxi back home.
Adrenaline pumped through my veins, I just bunked class!
Well, sort of…
it was anyways halfway done and I did sit through it halfway. I chuckled to myself and sent a text to the one and only Bella Swan who was also my ride that I'm not coming.
The taxi came to a halt and in front of my house, I saw just the face I was expecting. I thanked the driver, paid and without a second thought walked up to him.
"Hey Vampy, what's up with the glum face?" I say crossing my arms.
He seemed taken by surprise which was very unlike him.
"Dani," he says. "You're early"
"Yup, wanted to talk to you," I say sitting on my porch. "So… is everything alright?" I ask with a raised brow which earned a smirk from him. He shook his head and sat next to me.
"I know what to do" he says replaying our conversation from last night in my mind. "You… mentioned before…" I spoke my voice trailing off.
He took a sharp intake of breath. "Witchy… Daniella… I didn't expect to talk to you today" he says leaving me quite dumbstruck
"Im sorry?" I say making him chuckle and ruffle my hair. "anyways" he says handing a file to me "This is for you… consider it an early birthday gift… open it, whenever you feel like it" I stared at the file, it felt important.
"You can just give it to me on my birthday," I say with a confused smile.
"Now feels right" he simply says leaving me all the more confused. I laughed shaking my head and spoke the first things that came to my mind "Geez Edweirdo it sounds like you're saying goodbye"
without another word, he pulled me into a hug to his rock-hard cold chest making me murmur a small ouch.
"I wish we had more time" he says letting me go "Maybe if I was different we could have actually been related and I could have been your brother too," he says with a sad soft laugh as he bumps against my shoulder. Huh?
"I don't understand anything, Edward… You're confusing me" I say.
"Time will tell" he again repeats his words from last night. My phone vibrated in my pocket startling me and Edward.
"One sec," I say getting up and him following "Willow?" I ask.
"SO you skipped huh? Cus there is no way you're still in the washroom" she says sarcastically on the line making me snort. "Yes, I did, happy now?"
"Happy? Are you kidding me? How dare you skip without me?" I laughed.
"Geez I'm so sorry madam, it'll never happen again" I say rolling my eyes. Just then Bella's car parked and Edward now steadily walked towards her as Willow asked me to come over.
"Sure I'll be there" I say as I hang up and watch the two.
What's with the atmosphere? I thought in confusion.
Probably a couple argument right…?
I didn't think much of it and decided to walk away specifically to Willow's home which was going to be a long walk but I used up my cash for the day.
I sighed, 'the struggles of saving up.' I thought
Without looking back I had walked towards Willow's house and was nearly out of breath but of course, I wouldn't let it show because of my pride.
"Heyyy" the door burst open revealing Willow. "You walked?!" she exclaimed as she rushed outside.
"Come in, Ill get you some water" she says whisking me into the house. 'Well this will be chaotic' I thought with a chuckle.

A few hours later, my phone kept on ringing as me and Willow did each other's nails.
"Don't answer it! We must focus!" she says dramatically making me smack her with a pillow. "What if it's something important?" I say and reach for my phone on her dresser.
"It's Charlie" I announce and answer.
"Daniella" Charlie spoke frantically on the line. "Charlie? What's wrong?" I ask sitting up.
"Is Bella with you?" he says taking me by surprise. "No? Did you check with the Cullens?" I asked.
"Dani, they moved" …what? "And I can't find Bella anywhere, we re checking the forest right now" H-huh? What's going on?
"Charlie I'm coming there" I say and hang up.
"Willow, can you drive me home? And can you step on it?" she stands up and puts on her flip-flops
"Hell yeah, let's go"
Within minutes we were there, damn I need a car of my own.
Panic soared through me as I saw the commotion, I got out of the car in a hurry. "Did you find her?" I yelled ignoring the strange looks I probably got.
"Charlie" I heard Jacob's voice taking me by surprise. And I saw Sam walk out of the forest, Bella in his arms.
"She's alright" He says as Charlie runs up to them and takes Bella into his arms making me breathe a sigh of relief "Thank god" I said clutching my chest.
But what the hell was she doing in the forest?
Charlie without another word took Bella into the house. Sam rushed in front of Charlie to open the door.
I turned to Willow and before I could get a word out, "Go, I'll be in your house" she gave a squeeze and gave me a push to which I nodded and turned on my heel. I entered the house to see a conscious but lifeless Bella on the couch.
Oh Bella… what happened?
She was being asked questions by doctors and I quickly made my way to Sam.
"Hi, Sam," I say, his mood becoming less tense "Dani" he acknowledged. "What the hell happened? One minute she was with Edward and-"
"She was with the leech?!" he cuts me off sharply.
"Leech?" I asked quite taken aback.
"Sorry, just a nickname because of old problems" he says quickly brushing it off. Leech?
"Anyways did you see them together?" he says
"Yes! Yes! I did, he wanted to talk to her that's all I know, but now he is gone? What the hell?" I say completely flabbergasted.
He took in a sharp breath and quickly looked at Bella "She says she got lost. My guess?" he says with a pause "From what we know the Cullens move, Dr Carlisle got a big offer and he came to tell her" no no that can't be… if that was the case something could have been done…
My mind reeled.
"Dani?" Sam spoke aloud snapping me out of my thoughts. Bella instantly turned to me "Dani!" she exclaimed and literally leaped to my arms. Charlie shot everyone a look which meant 'I think it's time to leave' which they successfully got as they all headed outside.
She tightly gripped my arms and shook me, tears forming in her eyes "Did you tell him something?" she says as she shook me more "Daniella! Did he tell you anything?" she says her voice getting higher
"I saw you two! Did he say anything? Daniella, answer me! He can't be gone!"
"BELLA" I yell "Get a hold of yourself! I don't know either" I say as a wracked sob escapes her. And just like that nothing.
She shut herself off as we both sunk to the floor her in my arms.
Nothing, nothing at all. She kept silent. A tear didn't spill.
Charlie stood there, I made eye contact with him unsure what to do and I could tell he felt the same.
I stood up pulling her with me "Get some rest, yeah Bella? You had a long day" I say as I drag her upstairs with me.
"I got it from here" she says no emotion in her voice. And shuts the door in my face. I stood there for a moment and sighed and headed back down.
"Is she okay?" Charlie who was now sitting asked.
"I… don't know… she said she would take care of herself and shut the door" Charlie groaned and buried his head in his hands "I'm sorry, you're being dragged into this," he said.
"Please don't apologise, Bella is my friend, I want to be here for you guys…"I say and trail off "But… Charlie… I don't know how to help…" I say as I feel guilty. He smiles a sad smile "Me too…"
He gets up and pats my head "Go home Daniella… I saw your friend… she must be waiting for you…" he says. Shit. Willow.
I nod and hug Charlie as comfort "Take care, Charlie…" I say and head out the door.
A.N: Hello there my lovelies! long time no see! How are y'all doing? i guess you could say I'm back but of course, you can never know with my life! like guess what, I was in the hospital last year and couldn't go to school for a while since I burnt my leg and then it got infected, lmao. (┬┬﹏┬┬)
And if you have been following the story for a while now you might know that it changed dw it gets better I swear, also the next few chapters will be mostly fillers and will have slight Bella bashing you could say (I like Bella but its needed)
