But besides that- I hope you enjoyed the first chapter! If you're waiting for Ace to pop up, he'll be here soon.

Recape...

"For now, I ask you keep this a secret. You may use the Second Division Commander corridors for the mean time, while you learn about our world. Is that up for an agreement?" Edward offers after some time.

Sakura breaks out in a relieved grin. "Absolutely."

Edward smiles, as does some of the other commanders. Everyone stands, and Edward motions to Marco.

"Marco, show her to her room for the time being. Feel free to answer any questions she has." Edward addresses to Marco.

Sakura turns her gaze to the blond haired man, who nods at his captain. Their eyes meet, and Marco beckons her forward.

"Follow me."

Six Hours. That's how long it's been since Sakura arrived in this new world. Part of her thought she might be crazy, hallucinating this all. Perhaps Tsuande was right, staying late at the hospital for weeks on end might really be messing with her brain.

But a quick scan with her chakra debunked that quickly. Leaving her with only one real explanation. Dimension Travel.

The mere thought had her screaming into her pillow. Frustration, anger, god- even excitement. Which made her think of Naruto, the stupid blonde and his knack for bringing all the worst luck onto team seven.

Perhaps they really were cursed. And now it was Sakura's turn to deal with all the bad luck. All. By. Her. Self.

Sitting up, Sakura glanced around her temporary bedroom. Thankfully, it was graced with one small- circular window. The moon shined brightly, mocking her.

Looking out, Sakura grounded herself. Slowing her breathing and allowing her eyes to flutter shut. Pushing her chakra out in pulses, traveling through the ship- looking for the locations of every pirate on the boat.

Yet something piqued her intrest, despite orginally doing this to see who was awake and who wasn't. In the form of a reoccurring pattern. Everyone had almost non-existent chakra pools. Smaller than a civilians.

'It's unnatural, unheard of..' She thought, startled.

Her eyes opened slowly, and she pulled her chakra back towards her body. Mind whirling with all the new information she had just gathered from something as simple as sensing.

Chakra was essential in her world. Even civilians had the smallest traces of chakra. Else they'd die. It's what made them civilians, their chakra too small to find and manipulate. But it was still there.

And there were people born with more chakra. Larger pools. Which what made them Shinobi. Strong ones with a better arsenal.

Yet, for some weird reason… it was like Chakra didn't exist in this world. The traces she found in the pirates, was as small as an ants. Flickering uncontrollably, ready to extinguish by something as simple as a breeze.

Sakura shakes her head, tearing her gaze away from the window. With all these questions and theory's, it will be nearly impossible for her to get any sleep.

Let alone the fact that she was on a ship. Over a large body of water. In the middle of god knows where! How the hell did they think she'd get any sleep to begin with? Sakura grumbled in her mind.

Grunting softly, she stood. Rubbing her eyes to rid the blurriness that consumed her vision, before moving towards the door.

Sakura had felt a few signatures in the kitchen. Or what she thought was the kitchen. Perhaps they would spare her the company until she got exhausted enough her body would forcefully put her to bed.

Opening the door, Sakura began to make her way down the hallway. Trying to remember the way to the dining hall. Second guessing herself at every turn, until she could confidently say she was lost.

"Damn." Sakura muttered.

Spinning around, she glares at the surrounding doors. "Kai." Sakura tried, but to no evail, this wasn't some genjutsu. Sadly.

Against just standing their helplessly, Sakura continued forward. Paying attention to each door number mentally.

Taking a left, soft laughter echoed in her ears. Sighing in relief, she stalked towards the sound; eventually leading to two double doors. Just as big, if not bigger than the doors to the rooms down the hallway.

Pushing it open, Sakura gazes around. The laughter comes to a pause, and two figures twist in their chairs, facing the sound of the doors opening.

"Sakura, was it?" A figure she noted was Thatch, spoke up. Looking a little surprised to see her.

Beside him, was Marco. A stack of paperwork in front of him. But it looked to be discarded to the side.

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep." She shrugged in answer, shuffling towards the two.

Marco nods at her words, as does Thatch. "Makes sense. Do you need me to grab some medicine for you? It might help." Marco offered, and Sakura couldn't help but blanch at the idea.

Sensing her immediate hesitance, Marco held up his hands carefully, almost like a friendly surrender.

"Sorry- that was rude. Thanks for the offer really, but I don't think I'd feel comfortable taking medicine from complete strangers." Sakura rushes out, trying to bring the tension back down.

Thatch laughs, and the two men don't seem all that upset. Which relieves Sakura to some degree.

"We understand. New world, people, things you probably haven't heard of. We'd be skeptical if we were in your shoes." Thatch spoke up.

Sakura grins, as she reaches the two at their table. Marco motions to the empty bench beside them.

"I'm glad you understand. I didn't want to come off as… selfish or dismissive." Sakura lightened her tone, sitting down on the bench. Her body facing their direction.

Thatch laughed, and said something that fell deaf to her ears as her eyes trailed to a few scattered papers on the table. Marco seemed to notice the shift in attention, nudging Thatch to stop talking.

The posters had photographs of other pirates- she assumed, the bold letters of dead or alive gaining her attention.

"Bounty Posters." Marco spoke, and Sakura lifted her eyes up to meet his gaze.

"Most pirates have them. The higher your bounty, the more hunters and marines you have sent your way." Thatch explains, pointing to the number underneath their photos.

Sakura hummed, intrigued.

"We have something similar. But I can definitely see the differences." She followed up, blinking.

Thatch and Marco both seemed intrigued, and she could already sense their questions. Taking it upon herself to answer them before they could ask.

"Shinobi are ranked. S-Rank Shinobi are Kage level. God level, or as close as you can get to god level." Sakura begins, trying to find the right words so it all makes sense to them.

"Then it's goes down. A, B, C, and D. Our abilities - jutsu's - are ranked like that as well. The harder and more dangerous the higher the rank. It also depends on the shino I'd knowledge. If they know village secrets, the more sought after they are." She explains, brows pinched together.

Thatch looked most intrigued, eyes sparkling with curiosity. As Marco leans back, arms crossed over his chest as he listens intently.

"What rank would you be then, Sakura?" Marco asked suddenly.

His question halted her brain, and she thought for a moment. "I'm not sure honestly. Perhaps B." Sakura smiles, downplaying her achievements.

'Just to be safe…' She thinks to herself.

"My teammates though, are most definitely S-Ranked. Well known in my world." Sakura continues, waving herself off. Keeping her smile pinned on her lips.

Marco nods slowly, eyeing her. Almost as if he didn't believe her. Or at least parts of her answer. Thatch on the other hand, didn't seem to catch on, believing her right off the bat.

And it was clear to Sakura, why Marco was the first division commander.

"Anyway.." Sakura trailed off, trying to change the subject. She points towards the posters again.

"Why do pirates need bounty posters of other pirates? Shouldn't they be important to marines and hunters only?" She asks.

Marco shrugs, and Thatch let's out a gruff laugh. "Oyaji likes to keep tabs on new rookies. He has a habit of trying to, recruit, them." Marco explains, a little annoyance in his tone.

Raising a brow, Sakura turns to Thatch, who nods his head in confirmation.

"There are a few. But Oyaji had really gained a liking to a super rookie named Portgas D. Ace." Marco slides over a bounty poster.

Sakura takes in the appearance of the younger teen. Who doesn't look a day older than twenty, possibly younger. He's grinning, fire licking at his shoulders. Behind him, look to be men with guns. Dressed in white. Possibly marines, if Sakura wasn't mistaken. They definitely didn't seem like pirates.

"He's the captain of the spade pirates. And there's a rumor he wants to fight Oyaji. So far, we've mostly been following his tail." Marco says.

Sakura hums, eyeing the boy with her calculating gaze.

'That fire couldn't possibly be coming from his body, could it? You'd need chakra.. and from the looks of it- this world doesn't have enough to even do the simplest of Fire jutsu.' Sakura thinks to herself.

"So you guys are just following him? And then what?" Sakura asks.

Thatch shrugs. "I guess we'll see when the time comes. Offer him a place on the crew. I know Oyaji has plans on making him his son." He answers for Marco. Who's eye twitches at the thought.

"If he disagrees?" She pushes, tearing her eyes away from the photo.

"Oyaji is stubborn. But we wouldn't force him to stay.." Thatch trails off, but even he doesn't seem to believe his own words. Marco just shakes his head, a snort leaving his mouth.

Sakura nods, licking her lips. "Alright, well that's going to be intresting. I hope I'm here long enough to witness that." The pinkette jokes.

Thatch beams. "So you plan on staying?"

Sakura shrugs, looking over the chef. "Possibly. Unless Sasuke, my teammate, finds me and brings me home. Until then, I guess you're stuck with me."

Marco makes a noise, and her gaze drifts to him. He looks a little confused. "Why wait for your teammate? Can't you get home yourself?"

Sakura laughs at his words, shaking her head exasperated. "Oh no, definitely not. I don't have that type of power." She explains.

"I was telling the truth when I said I did not know how I got here. One moment I was in my office, the next tied up on your deck." She says, a little amused as she recalls everything.

Marco and Thatch both share a look, before the two shrug. Coming to a mutual agreement it seems.

"Well I'm going to go to bed. I have to wake up earlier and fix breakfast from the crew. It was nice talking to you Sakura." Thatch says, standing from his spot at the table.

Sakura nods, and watches as he turns to address Marco. "I'll have my paperwork turned in tomorrow, don't worry birdy." The man teases, and Sakura watches Marco's face turn a darker shade of pink.

"Say that again and your ass will be in the sea -yoi." Marco hisses, voice threatening.

Thatch laughs loudly, holding his hands up in mock surrender as he walks backwards. Sakura watches amused, as the chef finally leaves. Leaving the two alone.

Sparing Marco a questioning glance, the blonde huffs. "Ignore him and his words." He grumbles.

Sakura just nods, and the two stand. The stack of papers off to the side now in Marcos grasp. As well as the bounty posters.

"Well I need to catch up on some work. I hope you'll sleep well tonight." Marco tilts his head.

Sakura sighs, nodding as well. "As do I. Goodnight." She bids Marco a farewell, spinning around and leaving the empty mess hall.

Sakura hears Marco murmur something, but it's far too quiet for Sakura to understand. So she doesn't bother with pausing, walking down the hall. Before groaning at the mere thought of getting lost once again.

Gathering herself, she pushes through her protests.

Finding her room wasn't too hard. Not nearly taking as long as finding the mess hall was. Only as she enters, does her exhaustion finally hit her.

The conversations, as well as all the walking seemingly draining her of her remaining energy.

"At least I'll be able to sleep." Sakura whispers aloud, shuffling towards the comfortable bed. Tomorrow would be a new day, and hopefully things would only get easier from there…

Hopefully.
