But all the swordfighting lessons in the end wouldn't be able to fix Wonder's lazy disposition.

Nothing could. It was like a permanent disorder. Of course, he didn't see it as a disorder like his mother and trainer did.

He doesn't truly understand why they would get so upset about it. Yes, he knows that he has to focus so he can bring glory to his district, but he does that every day already!

Hey, it's not his fault that he needs to recharge after a while! That's just how he was!

Besides, aren't rest breaks supposed to be super-duper important?

Well, according to Mommy, rest breaks should only be ten to fifteen minutes long.

Wonder thinks this is bitterly unfair. Ten to fifteen minutes isn't enough time to do anything fun! Heck, it's barely enough time to use the bathroom.

But whatever Mommy says, Wonder must obey. That's one of their Golden Family Rules. Even Daddy has to obey.

Wonder sometimes likes to daydream about running away with Chiffon to go live in the woods, where they'd have no rules, and where their mother wouldn't be around to shout at them. They'd build a treehouse, swim in the stream, and eat all the wild berries they want.

That would be the life. If only he could make his dream a reality.
