When Wonder returns home from a late night of training, he's surprised to see Electra Harter sitting alone in his living room.

He'd had the dim thought that she was a pretty girl ever since he first saw her on the television, but seeing her up close makes him truly understand how beautiful she is.

She sits, relaxed, one leg over the other, scrolling through her phone. Her curls are as shiny and voluminous as ever, and she wears a cute knee-length black pleated dress with black stockings underneath. Her eyes meet his momentarily, then back to her phone screen.

"Your mom's upstairs," she says, bored. "She drank herself into a stupor, and now she's sleeping it off."

That doesn't surprise him. "But what are you doing here?"

She faces him fully. "It's my Victory Parade, remember?"

He hadn't remembered.

"Anyway, the train broke down and it probably won't be fixed till tomorrow, so your mom invited me back here instead."

He suddenly feels indescribably embarrassed, that Electra was just sitting here all by herself while his mom lay passed out upstairs. "I-I'm really sorry abo-"

Electra waves her fingers dismissively. "Don't be. It beats sleeping on the train with my entire prep team hovering over me."

Wonder knows that Electra will be eating those words before long. He sits in an easy chair across from her and twiddles his thumbs. His gaze happens to be fixed on Electra's black-sheathed legs. Despite the negativity in the air, he can't help but blush at the sight.

"Do you wanna go get something to eat?" he asks, out of the blue.

Electra shrugs one shoulder. "Sure."

Anything to get out of this house…

And to be with Electra…
