Dr Who, Susan, Ian and Barbara's relaxing holiday on Aridius is interrupted when the Daleks arrive in a time machine. The Daleks are determined to hunt the time travellers down and destroy them. Can Dr Who and the others outwit the Daleks for a third time?

1. Prologue

(AN) Hello and welcome to my first ever Doctor Who fanfic; Daleks Vs. Mechans.

This fic is essentially a third instalment in the Peter Cushing movie trilogy, which is an adaptation of The Chase, but with a few changes.

Prologue

In the strange plain of existence known as the time vortex, a large, silver time machine in the shape of a Dalek was floating through the vortex.

Inside the control room of the time machine, several Daleks were gathered round a bank of computers. On one of the screen was an image of Dr Who.

"The time travellers are heading for the planet Aridius." announced the first Dalek.

"Stay on course with the enemy time ship," ordered the second Dalek, "The enemy time travelers are to be exterminated; all exterminated!"

(AN) And there we have the short prologue for my story; hope you all enjoyed.

So, like the original films, this will mostly be a straight adaptation of The Chase, but it will have changes and improvements from the original serial.
