Okay, that last chapter was entirely from Nathan's perspective. Anyway, gone back to Priscilla and her group's perspective. I'm going to try to slow things down a bit to allow for character interactions.

The Crimson Flash

Meanwhile, as Priscilla and her group headed outside New Delsta, accompanied by Sabrina's squadron, Sabrina took this chance to speak as soon as they were far enough away from town"Prosecutor Whiteshore, Prince Hikari, there is something I need to tell you."

"Of course" Hikari nodded"But you just call me Hikari."

"My name is Priscilla" Priscilla told Sabrina"Do I know you from somewhere by any chance?"

Sabrina nodded"In a matter of speaking. I'm sure you have at least heard of me. It is I, Sabrina Anders, Crown Princess of Vella. I also am in charge of the Arcane Brigade, which has been dispatched here to keep an eye out for the Crimson Sun affiliates. I am to help you and Prince Hikari if I can, Priscilla."

Agnea, Temenos and Osvald were hardly surprised to be in the presence of royalty, Hikari is a prince, after all. Priscilla, however, was embarrassed"Ah, my apologies. I did not realize who you were back there, my lady."

"Its quite all right" The princess assured her"As I understand, you've been very busy with your work. And I hardly ever strayed far from the castle, especially not since the incident with Yolanda and the mercenaries who were working under her."

"So then you're King Lorian's daughter" Hikari thoughtfully looked at Sabrina"I received the letter that your father sent, I understand that Vella is officially lending support to my cause. However, I plan to bring this up with Kazan, who was my father's Strategist, before I give my answer."

"Who was Yolanda?" Agnea asked.

Sabrina shrugged"She was Sir Alistair's mother, she is the one who tarnished the Fen family name by embezzling funds that the knights desperately needed, over thirty years ago. Alistair is one of the kingdom of Vella's best knights."

Agnea felt sickened by what she had heard about Alistair's mother"Sorry I asked."

"Quite all right" Sabrina replied"Oh, and are you heading for Montwise by any chance?"

Priscilla nodded"Yes. The Crimson Sun could strike there next, but I am also looking for a person called Scarlet. Hikari and Osvald have their own business to attend to, there."

"And I'm just sort of tagging along" Agnea chimed in"Just want to help where I can."

"Hm. I see, I just had a couple of my men go to make contact with Winterbloom and Clockbank and was looking for a place to have the rest of my squad to set up camp while keeping watch for Crimson Sun activity, here" Serena explained.

"There's a hill in the Crestlands that makes for a popular camping spot" supplied Temenos"Though I'm curious as to why King Lorian has seen fit to dispatch an entire squadron. We do not know the extent of the Crimson Sun's capabilities or their numbers."

"After the last investigation team that was sent to look into the syndicate went missing, we're not taking any chances" Sabrina replied"Montwise sounds like quite an interesting place, I understand that it has a library, there. I may as well accompany you, if its all right."

Priscilla nodded"We would be honored, if its all right with everyone."

"I do not see why not" Hikari replied.

"Do what you will" Osvald grunted, his thoughts dwelling on their destination, he would at last catch up to Harvey and enact his revenge for his murdered family.

"Then shall we get going?" Sabrina asked.

The group set off in the direction of Clockbank, which is on the way to the part of the Crestlands where Montwise is. Temenos took a moment to speak with Priscilla"So, have you given any thought to what I said regarding the reason Nathan is in denial?"

"That I didn't think to show him some evidence, you mean?" Priscilla frowned"I'd forgotten about that for a moment. I still think its that half-breed's own fault he cannot accept the facts of what Sylas had done."

"Evidence is everything, is that not one of the guiding principles to being a good Prosecutor?" Sabrina asked, pointedly.

Priscilla reluctantly nodded"True, but then, I was angry that he would defend his father after I had already proven my father innocent."

"Just keep in mind that Nathan has no reason to take your word over his father's" Tenemos told Priscilla, sagely.

"I will try, though Nathan is probably not going to listen to what I have to say" Priscilla replied, that encounter back in Sai had her convinced that her mother was naive to think that Nathan could be reasoned with.

Sabrina quietly processed this information, then asked"And how is Alistair faring?"

"Quite well, he's currently stationed back at the west continent" The blond prosecutor replied.

"Good to hear" Sabrina said.

The group neared Clockbank, Partitio came out of the town and came to greet the group as they came over"Hey, everyone!"

Priscilla stopped"Partitio? How did it go?"

"Just dandy, I found out that Roque had designed a steam engine while helping out folks in the town" The merchant replied"I reckoned that it had potential, so I asked Roque if he'd sell me the rights to the steam engine."

"A Steam Engine? That's the first time I heard time I heard of it" Priscilla mussed.

"If its new, then I would imagine that only a few people know of it" said Hikari, thoughtfully.

Osvald nodded in agreement"So did he sell you the rights?"

"Not yet, we only made a deal and we signed the contract for it. I have to get eighty-billion leaves, which is how much Roque asked for" Partitio replied.

Sabrina was shocked"That almost sounds like quite an unreasonable sum, to me. The noble houses in Vella wouldn't be able to afford to pay that much."

"Its no big deal to me, I just gotta figure something out" the merchant said, optimistically"So who you are?" He asked Sabrina.

"I am Sabrina, Crown Princess of Vella" Sabrina replied.

"Pleasure. Oh, and did you all have a good time at New Delsta?" Partitio asked.

Agnea nodded"Yep. Gill, the manager of the tavern I danced at for a couple of days was attacked, but Priscilla, Hikari, Osvald and I took care of it with Dolcenaea's help. So everything's going swimmingly."

"Dolcinaea? She's the dancer who is entertaining folks at New Delsta theater, right?" Partitio asked.

"Yep" Agnea replied"And right now, we're going to Montwise. Would you like to come with us?"

"Sure, why not? I got time on my hands, though I plan on going to Wellgrove sometime" Partitio replied"Ori, a Scrivener I met while at Roque's factory, dropped me a hint about a wealthy guy called Alrond who I could ask to lend me the Capital that I need."

"Still, eighty-billion..." Priscilla pondered"Its out of reach for the average person. I'm not so sure Roque is willing to part with the rights to the engine if he is charging you that much."

"Roque is a merchant at heart, I've no reason to think he'd go back on his word, I trust him. He was my pa's business partner, after all" Partitio reasoned.

Priscilla remained doubtful, but then, she didn't know Roque on a personal level like Partitio did"If you want, I can try to offer you basic legal advice regarding the contract, but I am a Prosecutor, not a Contract Lawyer."

"Its fine, I know Roque will keep his word" The merchant assured her.

"And what if he doesn't?" Priscilla asked.

"I'll cross that bridge when it comes to it" Partitio replied.

Priscilla reluctantly nodded"Very well, then. If you need more help, I will consult with the Clockbank Constabulary, I know their Commandant, Alex. I've been to Clockbank on business before to study the legal system, there."

"I've done some traveling myself before the Pontiff's murder when my duties as Inquisitor demanded it" Temenos commented"I even visited Vella on a matter concerning the Sacred Guard."

"I heard a bit about that incident" Priscilla said"The matter was never brought to court, though, since the murder was in self-defense."

"What exactly happened?" Hikari asked, curious.

"A member of the Sacred Guard tried to force himself onto a noblewoman, who killed him in self-defense" Temenos replied"I made contact with the knights who placed her under their protection. The Sacred Guard demanded justice, but the courts refused. The incident in question is one of the reasons why I began to distrust the Sacred Guard."

Sabrina nodded, thoughtfully"That makes sense. I considered paying a visit to Stormhail, but that's where the Sacred Guard's HQ is. My father has a low opinion of them, too."

The group continued into the Crestlands where Sabrina's squadron went to set up a camp. Sabrina and the rest of the Travelers consented to stay at the camp for the evening. Priscilla and Partitio began to prepare dinner which consisted of some vegetables and game meat, while Hikari kept watch. Temenos went over his notes while Osvald took to reading one of his books.

"First time cooking?" Partitio asked the blond Prosecutor as they worked.

"Yeah, pretty much" Priscilla replied"I am from a Noble House after all, we employ a cook to prepare most of our meals. My mom is a Songstress and an author, we both had very busy jobs." She checked on the consistency of the stew as she talked.

"Being a Merchant is no picnic, either. But helping folks is what's most important to me and my pa, so I've no complaints" Partitio said as he helped.

Agnea was practicing her dance techniques just a few feet away from the campsite, trying not to stumble as she went through her movements. Hikari subtly watched her, immersed with her dancing.

When Agnea was done practicing, Hikari commented"I daresay I do not tire of watching you dance, Agnea."

"That good, huh?" Agnea smiled"I'm still thinking on lyrics for the Song of Hope. Have you ever danced before, Hikari?"

"Hardly, though I have seen a traditional Ku style dance once or twice" Hikari replied. His father, during his days of conquest, usually allowed no more than a couple of days' respite before leading the army into battle with one of the surrounding clans"I would not be opposed to honoring you with a dance, if you would like to do so together with me, sometime."

"I'd like that" The dancer said"dancing is actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it."

Soon, dinner was ready and the group ate their meal in silence, Sabrina took the time to distribute some to the soldiers in the camp while she was at it. Priscilla thought some more as she ate her portion of the stew. Nathan made it clear that he intended to settle things with her the next time they met, which could potentially mean that she would be unable to take Temenos's words into consideration. But then, had she truly been so blinded by her hatred of Sylas, that she could not bring herself to understand that Nathan is his own person, not his father?

"Are you all right?" Sabrina asked the Prosecutor as she sat next to her.

Priscilla turned to the princess"I'm merely reflecting on the past, Sylas had ruined my life and my father's. And what's worse, that half-breed son of his isn't doing my sanity any favors. I intended to send Nathan to prison for crimes he recently committed when next I see him. But what Temenos said to me earlier gives me pause."

"About proving to Nathan that Sylas had truly wronged you and your parents, you mean?" Sabrina asked, thoughtfully.

Priscilla reluctantly nodded"Even if I were to cast aside my pride and find a way to prove to Nathan that Sylas had really raped my mom and condemned my father to life at Frigit Island, is it too late? That half-breed sicced thugs on me, joined the Crimson Sun and was complicit in the death of Lord Seymour Vanneth of Sai."

Sabrina shrugged"That's a no-brainier, if he truly is a criminal now and done what you say he did, then there is no choice. Nathan will have to be arrested. Oh, and I heard talk that Frigit Island has been recently shut down."

"Really?" Priscilla asked.

"I've heard the same thing myself" Temenos commented"The Warden and the guards were quite corrupt, the prisoners have been relocated to the Hightower Prison in Timberain."

Priscilla was surprised, she had not known there was corruption afoot on Frigit Island"Huh. I heard that the prison was very cold, but nothing about how the prisoners there were treated."

"From what I had heard, the warden had been working his prisoners at the mine for Phosphoal" Sabrina said"For very long periods of time, I might add, with no care that someone could catch hypothermia and die. Granted, those being put to work at the island's mine were criminals, but that was taking it too far in my opinion."

Priscilla was disturbed at hearing this"I wanted Sylas to suffer for what he did to my father, but not from being overworked. Even I have my limits as to how far things should go. Was the Warden arrested for it?"

"The warden was found dead" Sabrina replied"He died only a short while before the prison was shut down."

Osvald was not surprised, he and his fellow inmate and escapee, Emerald had inflicted serious wounds on Warden Davids during their escape attempt, the warden probably didn't bother or just didn't have time to get his wounds properly treated.

"Do we know if Sylas still lives?" Temenos asked.

"I don't know, but if he's alive, he's probably at the Hightower Prison in Timberain" Sabrina replied"And like I said, Nathan is to be arrested, but given his circumstances, my father or I will allow him and Lady Vanessa to plead his case."

"I've seen Sylas during my time at the Frigit Island prison" Osvald said"I could see that he thinks about his wife and son, having heard him murmur about them from time to time. Since he was alive during the Prison Inspectors' visit, I can confirm that he indeed still lives and was relocated to Timberain. He seemed quite remorseful, likely due to having to have been separated from his son."

Priscilla scoffed"Even if Sylas is truly sorry for what he had done, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. What he did to me and my father is unforgivable. I will never forgive him."

"And that is perfectly understandable" Temenos said"This unpleasant business with Sylas aside, what do you and Princess Sabrina plan to do after the Crimson Sun is dealt with, Priscilla?"

"I'm going to resume my regular duties" Priscilla replied.

"And my father is planning to abdicate in a couple of months" Sabrina said"He said I am to become Queen of Vella."

"Congratulations" Priscilla said"If I may ask, do you know yet who you will choose to be your husband? I assume King Lorian arranged for you to meet some eligible noblemen who are around our age."

Sabrina blushed"Well, I had someone in mind... Alistair. We've known each other since childhood. If we get the chance, I want to speak with him sometime. What of you, Priscilla? Do you plan on marrying to ensure the continuation of your family's bloodline?"

Priscilla shrugged"My mom did get a few marriage proposals for me, but I did not feel that any of them were my type." She then glanced over at Temenos.

"Yes?" The cleric asked.

"Its nothing" Priscilla returned to her portion of stew, blushing.

Temenos did not press her further, instead returning to his portion. The group finished their dinner before turning in for the night.

At Lord Walden's estate, the Chief Justice Minister of Timberain was overseeing his village from the window in his manor, again having a cup of chamomile tea. Outside, a man with brown hair that is flecked with gray and a silver set of armor over his grey shirt and pants knocked on the door.

"Come in" Lord Walden stated.

The man came in"My lord, I have something to report."

"What is it, Captain Cairn?" Lord Walden asked, turning to address the man, properly. Cairn is the captain of Lord Walden's militia, who publicly protected the villagers of the town and hunted monsters while Captain Scarlet and her mercenaries took care of the more unsavory tasks in order for Lord Walden to maintain a good public image.

"Some of our scouts on the east continent rescued a girl who was to be sold into slavery in a remote town" Cairn replied"She knows about Sir Nathan, so we know not what to do with her, but she's currently under our protection."

"That's of no consequences, have her brought here, she will be protected and put to work at the nearest farm" Lord Walden replied"Anything else?"

"Captain Scarlet also sent me a message, she'll report back when she's done gathering information at Montwise" The militia captain replied"No plans were made to look into Stormhail, apparently."

The Chief Justice Minister nodded"Understandable, we don't want the Sacred Guard getting onto us. Although we may want to stir up a little fun sooner or later." He smirked slightly.

"Any further orders today, my lord?" Cairn asked.

Lord Walden shook his head"That will be all. But do feel free to hunt monsters at the vicinity near Timberain, and take some men to Wellgrove to dig up juicy tidbits." He had to maintain a good public image, if only to mask his own ambitions.

The Militia captain nodded"Yes, my lord."

Priscilla's group woke early the following morning, continuing on to Montwise after a quick breakfast. Sabrina had her squadron busy themselves with patrolling, monster hunting and checking the nearby towns for rumors. As Priscilla and her group approached the town, Sabrina stopped.

"Since some of us are headed into Montwise for different reasons, we'll split up into groups and take care of business quicker this way" The Vellan princess stated.

"Agreed" Hikari nodded"I'm going to seek out Kazan and request his assistance in stopping Mugen's ambition."

"I'll go with you for morale support if you want, Hikari" Agnea offered.

Hikari nodded"Your presence would not be unwelcome."

"I'm going to gather information" Priscilla stated"If the Crimson Sun intends to strike here, I'll be prepared to intercept them."

"I will accompany you if its all right" Sabrina told Priscilla.

"I would be honored" Priscilla replied

"I shall assist if I can" Temenos spoke.

"I'm going to find Harvey" Osvald grunted"If he has taken my research to the library, then that is the best place to find clues to his whereabouts."

"I will come with you if you want" Partitio said to the older Scholar"Who's Harvey, anyway?"

Osvald frowned"He's the man who killed my family and framed me for it." He really didn't like talking about it.

Partitio was disgusted to hear about this"Sorry for your loss. Harvey sure sounds like a dirty old scoundrel."

Sabrina nodded"Then its decided." The group headed into the town and split up, Priscilla went with Temenos and Sabrina to the tavern. A certain mercenary captain was sitting at the table, enjoying a drink with two of her subordinates. She had red hair and wore a shirt with pants under her armor.

"Ah, welcome" The bartender greeted the three"Can I get you anything?"

"I just came for information" Priscilla replied"I'm afraid I can't hold my liquor very well."

"Perhaps we can ask the mercenaries, here" Temenos indicated the three armored warriors in the area. They clearly weren't from the Sacred Guard or Vella.

The Bartender was curious"Do you know them?"

The woman, Scarlet put her tankard and looked at the three"I've heard of them, bartender. Let's just say I am acquainted with someone from House Whiteshore." She then looked at Priscilla"Perhaps some juice will suffice. I've just tried some grape juice, myself."

"I'm not thirsty just now" Priscilla replied"Actually, I came looking for information on a syndicate. Do you know of the Crimson Sun?"

"Why yes, I know of them" Scarlet replied, calmly"And If I am right, you are also hunting a certain individual."

Priscilla tensed"How do you know about... About that half-breed?"

"I have my sources" Scarlet replied"I know who you are, daughter of the late Lord Percival."

Priscilla looked at Scarlet with suspicion and astonishment"I shouldn't be surprised if you heard of my father, he was a renowned Prosecutor."

Scarlet stood up"Shall we take our little chat somewhere else? It wouldn't do to attract any unwanted attention."

"I suppose you're right" Priscilla agreed"These are my companions, Temenos and Sabrina." She didn't trust the mercenary with the knowledge that Sabrina is a princess.

"Pleasure" Scarlet nodded"Shall we go?" She headed out of the tavern, the two other mercenaries followed.

Temenos couldn't help but be unnerved"Priscilla, this woman may be more than what she seems."

"I agree" Priscilla followed Scarlet out.

Sabrina wasn't sure what to think of the Cleric's attitude as she asked"Do you really think that mercenary is untrustworthy? We hardly know her."

"Doubt is what I do, one can never be too careful" Temenos replied as he headed out of the tavern, himself.

Priscilla followed the mercenaries to the mountains outside Montwise"So, you told me you know about the Crimson Sun. Are you Scarlet by any chance? A man from Conning Creek told me I'd find her in Timberain."

"Stenvar, you mean?" The mercenary leader chuckled"That money-grubbing guard can't always keep his mouth shut from what I heard. Well, we mercenaries don't stay in one place for too long. Especially when on a job for our employers." She then turned to properly face the prosecutor"My name is Scarlet, I am the captain of what is left of Red's mercenary company."

Priscilla thought back to when Alistair had told her the story of the incident where Lady Yolanda had been embezzling funds with the help of a group of mercenaries and brigands"Did you know Red? I was only told about him from a friend of mine."

"He was my father" Scarlet replied, bluntly"He got himself arrested, the last I heard. I lived with my mother, who was a Cleric. But I wished to honor my father, and so joined what was left of his company when I was old enough."

Priscilla wasn't sure how to respond. Red had brought his arrest upon himself, though Yolanda had a hand in hiring him. The Prosecutor mulled over her response before saying"I'm sorry for your loss, but it had to be done." Red may have been a criminal, but he wasn't entirely at fault.

"Don't be, he knew the risks" Scarlet replied"He went out like a true Merc, even if it wasn't on the battlefield. Though I loved my father, he wouldn't have wanted me to get all sappy about it."

Sabrina and Temenos had caught up and were stunned to hear this about Red.

"Well, now that all three of you are here, you really wish to know all I know of the Crimson Sun?" Scarlet asked, her tone serious and unwavering.

"I do" Priscilla nodded"Its important."

Sabrina tensed, if this mercenary really is Red's daughter, she may be looking for revenge.

"A bit too easy" Temenos commented, wondering what Scarlet's game is.

Scarlet pulled out her crossbow and fired it near Priscilla's foot"I knew about you, Priscilla Whiteshore. I took the liberty of conducting a background check on you and the man who had recently joined the organization I was hired to work for. You are Nathan's sister, aren't you?"

"That half-breed is dead to me" Priscilla told the mercenary leader, defiantly"What is it to you?"

Scarlet smiled sadistically"Your little drama was orchestrated by a certain disgraced nobleman, correct? I speak of Sylas, the previous head of House Whiteshore."

Priscilla cringed at the reminder of the pain Sylas had caused her and her mother"Enough! What can you tell me of the Crimson Sun?"

"Struck a nerve, did I?" Scarlet commented, shaking her head"I expected you to be not quite as gullible as you are acting right now, being every bit the genius Prosecutor your father supposedly was. My full name is Scarlet Vane, I am a part of the top brass of the syndicate you are hunting down, in addition to leading what is left of my father's mercenary company. My, my, to think the three of us have something in common: I speak of you, Nathan and myself."

"What are you talking about?" Priscilla glared at her"Don't lump in in with your ilk and that half-breed!" She was even more incensed to hear that this mercenary captain is one of the leaders of the syndicate.

"Nathan, myself and you... We each lost a father at different times, is that not so?" Scarlet replied"Funny, you're actually quite a bit like both Sylas and Percival."

"What do you mean!?" Priscilla was getting angrier, the trauma that Sylas caused her through years of neglect while he was objectifying her mother was reaching its all-time high.

"Its elementary" Scarlet replied, going into a diatribe"Nathan told me of his little grudge against you, shortly after we left Sai. Like Uncle, like niece, you both tore a family apart. Which, coincidentally, is your own. Ergo, you grew to be a bitter, jealous woman according to Nathan. Your mother, Vanessa lost two husbands because of that, and Nathan lost his beloved father. And so, your brother joined up with my superior's organization."

"I can't believe this... Its MY fault Nathan joined the Crimson Sun and wants to kill me!?" Priscilla stepped back"HE'S the one who wouldn't accept that Sylas was every bit the monster I proved him to be!"

Scarlet shrugged as she continued taunting the Prosecutor"Deny it all you want, you know deep down that its true. And before you ask how I know about your mother, she was a popular songstress before she married your father. There's hardly that many people who have not heard of her or the late Lord Percival. That, and I convinced Nathan to give me those juicy tidbits regarding your family."

"That's enough!" Sabrina fired an arrow at Scarlet.

Scarlet narrowly dodged"Was that your best shot, Sabrina? Heh" she laughed"I trained since I was a child, can't very well be a leader of a band of Mercenaries if I was not the strongest amongst them. Shane certainly had the bite to match his bark, but he was just a small fry compared to what I can do."

"If you are done, As Inquisitor of Flamechurch, I shall assist Priscilla in exposing the dark truths of the Syndicate and bringing them into the light" Temenos stated"Scarlet, your interrogation begins, now."

Scarlet drew her sword"Ha, you think I'll spill more than what I have already told you? I shan't betray the trust of my boss, mercenaries who do just that usually get either tossed aside or find coming down with a violent illness for their trouble. Plus, I think I shall have a little sport with you. Don't disappoint me, I love a good challenge, sometimes."

"I'm not too good at physical labor, but you'll be surprised" Temenos said, cheekily.

Priscilla readied herself"If its a fight you want, you got it."

Scarlet grinned and swung her blade at Priscilla, who dodged. Temenos cast a magical shield of light to protect Priscilla and then cast Holy at the swordswoman. Scarlet dodged, then darted at Temenos, swinging her blade. The Cleric barely dodged while Priscilla cast a couple of fireballs, barely scorching Scarlet's armor.

"You're good, but I'm better. I picked up a few magic tricks, myself" Scarlet grinned, casting twin fireballs of her own. Priscilla dodged and countered with lightning, Scarlet dodged and swung, narrowly missing Priscilla as the Prosecutor dodged.

"Lux Cnonigre!" Sabrina had cast a powerful light spell, staggering Scarlet. The Crimson Flash recovered and rushed forward, swinging horizontally and vertically at the Princess. Sabrina narrowly avoided the attacks, barely getting nicked. Temenos cast a heal spell on himself and Sabrina while Priscilla threw an Icewind Spell at Scarlet. Scarlet barely avoided the attack and shot her crossbow, which Priscilla narrowly dodged.

The two other mercenaries attempted to butt into the fight, only for Sabrina to knock them down with a chain of fire spells.

"You're quite the Sorcerer" Scarlet commented at Sabrina"Heh, try this!" She cast a wave of crimson energy at the group. Temenos healed himself, Priscilla and Sabrina while the Prosecutor cast another fireball, blasting Scarlet backwards.

Scarlet recovered and cast three fireballs, which the group barely dodged before rushing Piriscilla, who narrowly dodged and used lightning to drive her back. The Crimson Flash darted to the side, about to unleash a spin attack. Sabrina and Priscilla dodged, retaliating with fire magic. Temenos pitched in with Holy Light, all three spells knocking the Crimson Flash backwards. Scarlet regained her balance and leapt at Sabrina, bringing her blade downward. Sabrina managed to jump back and blast Scarlet with a barrage of ice spells.

"Urgh" Scarlet groaned, getting back up"Don't think you bested me, yet. And like I said, I have business at the underground arena." She then tossed a large Light Soulstone at the three, blinding them for a moment as she fled.

Sabrina took a breath"She's no pushover, but what do you suppose she meant by there being an underground arena?"

"I wonder" Priscilla sighed, Scarlet's taunt about her not being much different from Sylas in that she is tearing her family apart nagged at the back of her mind"But what she said earlier... The nerve of that woman! Implying that I'm no different from that animal, Sylas by tearing apart my family." She was really annoyed.

"Scarlet clearly blew the whole thing out of proportion" Temenos pointed out"As I understand, Sylas was in the wrong when he had your father wrongfully incriminated, Priscilla. Whereas, you rightfully had Sylas imprisoned for framing your father and treating your mother as nothing more than an object of his lust."

"You're right" Priscilla nodded, putting aside what Scarlet had said"And I'm certainly not going to let Scarlet get away with that insult."

"I'm going to the library to catch up with Osvald and Partitio" said Sabrina"Maybe the two of you should check on Hikari and Agnea?"

Temenos nodded"An excellent idea. Priscilla, are you okay with this?"

"Yes" Priscilla replied, though she still felt shell-shocked by Scarlet's taunt, largely in denial over what the red-haired mercenary had said"I don't know anything about this underground arena Scarlet had mentioned. But if she's there, and if I can, I'll try to capture her for sure."

"I'd be happy to assist you for a while longer, I'm in no hurry" said Temenos, thoughtfully.

"Thank you" Priscilla said to the cleric. The two of them went to inquire about Hikari and Agnea's whereabouts while Sabrina headed for the library.

And that's it for this for now, I'm going to try to include parts of Osvald's chapter 4 and Hikari's chapter 2 in the next chapter. Priscilla's character development is just getting started.
