Over the next couple of hours, Logan keeps excelling with every word he strategically places on the Scrabble board.
"Ugh! You're doing it again! You're utilizing the most potent, tongue-twisting words!" James exclaims, exasperated.
"Not my fault you never invest time in enriching your lexicon. Your collection consists solely of comic books and teen fashion magazines. Not a lot of substantial literature there. Well, not the kind that enhances your vocabulary," Logan remarks.
"Do you have to exert such effort every time we engage in this game?" James questions.
"Not entirely certain why you're becoming so agitated. It's a game centered around forming words that yield the highest points. A sophisticated vocabulary truly comes in handy. Cease your grievances and proceed with your turn, if you may," Logan suggests.
"Yeah, James, desist from your complaints," Katie expresses disapproval.
James places his chosen word delicately on the board, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips.
"Flapjacks," Katie muses, her eyes lighting up with curiosity.
"Some folks in other corners of this great land call them that. It's just another way to talk about pancakes," James explains.
"Wow, I never knew that!" Katie exclaims, gratitude evident in her voice. "Thanks for sharing that nugget of knowledge. I've learned something new today."
"So, am I a shining example for you now?" James jokes.
Kendall rolls his eyes, muttering under his breath. But Camille quickly steps in, urging Kendall to let James revel in his moment.
Surprised by Kendall's candid remark, James can't help but feel a twinge of indignation. "If you're going to throw shade, at least make sure I'm not in earshot!" he retorts.
"Sorry, buddy. I didn't mean any harm. It may have sounded harsh, but deep down, we both know you can be a positive influence on Katie when you put your mind to it," Kendall concedes.
