After the breakfast concludes, Logan leads everyone outside to the beach.
"Hey guys, what took you so long? I've been waiting for nearly an hour," Mason remarks.
"Breakfast was a bit challenging, but we're all good now," Logan replies.
"Good," Mason acknowledges. "Katie, are you alright? You seem quite sad. Is something bothering you?"
"No, just someone," Katie responds, glaring at Kendall. "I no longer feel wanted as a little sister."
"What makes you say that?" Mason inquires.
"Kendall," Katie states.
"Alright... I'm not sure what happened between you two, but maybe Logan's surprise will resolve it," Mason suggests.
"I hope so too. Today, with the assistance of our new friend Mason, I was able to organize a nature walk," Logan announces.
"A nature walk? We have this amazing beach house all to ourselves, and instead of spending more time in it, we're going to be outside walking around in... nature," James expresses, showing disinterest in the idea.
"Yes, that's what I want to do, and that's final. Please, stop complaining about it the entire time," Logan insists. "Come on, it'll be fun."
"Fun? You and I have very different definitions of that word," James retorts.
Logan sighs, rolling his eyes. "If you really don't want to come, go back to the beach house. I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you about it anymore. I have better things to do."
"Sorry, Logan. I'll come," James concedes.
"Thanks," Logan acknowledges.
"Step lively, my companions! The nature trail we're about to embark upon is a treasure trove of wildlife and surprises," Mason exclaims with enthusiasm. "One day, I dream of leading tours at DisneyWorld's Animal Kingdom. This journey is excellent practice!"
"DisneyWorld, huh? What an enchanting ambition you possess. May all your dreams come true," Katie remarks, awe shining in her eyes.
"Thank you for your kind words, Katie," Mason replies with a smile. "And what about you? What fantastical career do you aspire to?"
"I, dear friend, dream of taming unicorns. Impossible, I know, but a girl can dream," Katie admits.
"Indeed, unicorns may only exist in fairy tales, but the magic of make-believe is a wonderful thing," Mason reassures her.
"Oh, it absolutely is!" Katie exclaims with joy.
Mason enthusiastically leads the group, exclaiming, "Join me on this thrilling adventure!" as they head towards the beginning of the nature trail. "We'll soon reach a bridge over a small creek where you might spot turtles and fish in the water. Keep a keen eye out for them when we get there."
As they walk along the trail, Kendall and Katie maintain their distance due to lingering tension from their morning argument.
"James and Carlos, keep an eye on Katie," Kendall instructs.
"Why do I need to be watched? I'm not a child. I can take care of myself," Katie retorts.
"Mom put me in charge, so this is how it's going to be, whether you like it or not," Kendall asserts.
Katie frowns and crosses her arms.
"Kendall, just let her be. She doesn't need constant supervision. She's perfectly capable," Logan interjects, attempting to diffuse the situation between the siblings.
"Stay out of it, Logan. She's my sister," Kendall responds.
"She's mine too," Logan counters.
"Not biologically," Kendall retorts, clearly irritated.
Exhaling, Logan says, "Your negative energy is affecting me, so I'm going to walk away before things escalate into a major argument." With that, Logan walks away from the group.
After ten minutes...
"Behold, the creek awaits us," Mason declares as he perches on a massive rock. "Let's take a breather and seek out those elusive turtles and fish I spoke of."
Logan excitedly kneels by the water's edge. "Look, I spy some turtles! Katie, come quick!" But Katie is nowhere to be found. "Katie?" Logan calls out, scanning the area.
The others shrug in confusion. "She's not with you?" Camille inquires.
"Seems like she wandered off to be with you and Logan," Carlos replies.
"Looks like she's vanished into thin air," Logan muses.
"You lost her?! I gave you one task, just one!" Kendall exclaims.
"Let's not panic, she couldn't have gone too far," Camille soothes. "We'll search for her together."
"Makes sense. This terrain can be tricky for newcomers," Mason adds.
