Shortly after discovering Katie and listening to her reasoning for running away, Kendall is taken aback by the revelation.
"Katie, I can't comprehend why you believe I harbor hatred towards you. The argument we had during breakfast was absurd, and I deeply regret it because I can't bear to argue with someone I care for," Kendall expresses.
"You labeled me as a troublemaking brat. You even claimed your life was simpler before I came along. It's only natural for me to think it's all true and run away," Katie reveals.
Sighing deeply, Kendall gazes into Katie's eyes, filled with remorse. "I'm really sorry for what I said. I didn't realize it would hurt your feelings. And then I made it worse by asking Carlos and James to watch over you while we explore the nature trail, which made you feel like I didn't trust you. Life was already good before you came along, but it's even better now that you're here. Being an older brother can be mentally exhausting at times, but I still love you. Please forgive me," Kendall says sincerely.
"Do you really mean all of that?" Katie asks, searching for honesty in Kendall's words.
"With all my heart and soul," Kendall replies, assuring her of his sincerity.
"Okay, but first, I think you owe Logan another apology. Exploring the nature trail was his idea, and you ruined it," Katie points out.
"I'm really sorry, Logan. And I was wrong about what I said earlier, that Katie isn't your real sister. She's just as much a sister to you, whether biologically related or not. You're a part of our family, and I'll always consider you my brother. Maybe even my favorite brother," Kendall admits, trying to make amends.
"Well, that's just hurtful," James says, feeling a tinge of envy but in a lighthearted manner.
"Yep," Carlos agrees, sharing the same sentiment.
Camille chuckles at their reactions, while Mason smiles, happy to see the situation resolving.
