June 2: Make a five and one! (For an example: 5 times (character) did (something) and the 1 time (character) did not. Further example is my 5&1's) Let's see what I can make out of this…Ideas, ideas…enjoy! 3 Also, yes, this is a little late because I made the prompt list a little late…whoops. :D With out further ado…

5 times Bradely was hugged and the 1 time he wasn't. (WARNING: This one may cause tears of feelings of sadness. I'm sorry my dear readers.)

Bradely giggled and squealed as he ran around the wooden ground of the house, his toy, plastic planes in hand.

"I'm coming to get you!" Nick called out laughingly as his chased his toddler around the living room.

"Raahahhhhghghhg!" Goose tackled young Bradely to the ground and started tickling him.

"Ahahhahah!" Bradely squealed happily, "Stop it, Daddy! Daddy stop!" he kept laughing.

Goose lay on the ground gasping for breath as the ever-energetic toddler escaped his grasp and fled the room.

He hauled himself back up, a smile on his face even as he still was breathing heavily and exhausted.

Carole giggled from where she was laying on the couch. Goose lifted his gaze to her. Gosh, she's a beauty. He thought.

"What?" he asked out loud.

"Oh, nothing." Carole answered.

Goose slowly pushed himself up into a kneeling position, and panted, "How's that kid got so much energy?"

"He copies Maverick." Carole replied, a smile making her already pleasant features more so.

Goose crawled up to her and started tickling her. She giggled, squirming away from his grasp. "Nick!" She gasped.
Goose chuckled and kissed her gently on the forehead. "They're both awesome though."

Carole nodded in agreement and they both laughed as Bradely came running from the kitchen with a playful Maverick chasing them. "Yeah. Yeah, they are…" Carole rested her head on Goose's shoulder, "And so are you."

Goose stepped out of the Bronco into the hot sunny day, keys in hand.
"Okay, Baby Goose!" he said, unbuckling his toddler from the car seat. He leaned forward and brushed his nose on young Bradely's, just like they always do. "You ready?"

Bradely grinned enthusiastically, doing a little wiggle in his seat. He was practically vibrating with excitement. "Yeah Daddy!"

Goose laughed and hauled his little son out of the car, resting him on his hip. Nick squeezed him a little bit and shut the car door.

"Alright! Let's go on our adventure!" Goose shouted and started marching towards the mall.

Bradely giggled happily, squirming in his father's arms as they neared their destination.

"Here we are." Goose placed Bradely down gently and Bradely's little mouth dropped, his eyes wide at all the things there.

They had gone to Build-A-Bear.

Goose held out his hand, which Bradely took with his little toddler fingers, grasping him tightly.

Nick could tell that Bradely felt a little intimidated by everything. He gently squeezed his hand. "It's okay Baby Goose. I'm here."

Bradely shifted his brown eyes to look into Goose's. The fear dissipated, and the grin came back. "Okay Daddy." He smiled.

Bradely broke off from his daddy's hold and started racing around the store. Goose followed him happily.

They ended up choosing a Canadian Goose, which Bradely held tightly in his little hands.

Goose smiled, holding up Bradely. "With this," he said, "You'll know that I'm always with you, and I love you sooooo much." He whispered, hugging his son.

"I love you too, Daddy."

"It's okay, Bradely." Goose whispered into his toddler's ear, "After this, you'll be feeling all better, and then we'll get to go home and see Mommy and eat all the soup we want and finish Thomas the Train. And guess what?" he added.

"What?" Little Bradely asked.

"I'm going to be with you the entire time." Goose whispered the last part, kissing Bradely's cheek softly.

"I believe you Daddy." Bradely rested his head on Nick's chest.

They were sitting together in the doctor's office. Bradely had recently gotten a bad cold and with it, an ear infection. The usual energetic toddler was so quiet and tired now, it was breaking Goose's heart.

"Daddy?" Bradely asked, lifting his gaze up to Goose's.

"Yeah, Baby?" Goose asked.

"Are you scared of the doctor too?" Bradely's eyes showed fear and trust.

"Well, not me. I used to, but I grew to be a big boy and now I'm not scared." Goose said, "But you're Uncle Mav hates the doctor's office. He'll fight tooth and claw to get out of there." Goose laughed."

"I wanna be a big boy like you, Daddy." Bradely said, snuggling further into Nick's embrace.

"Well, it's going to take time." Goose said, placing a kiss on Bradely's head, "And until then, I'm going to be right here."

Bradely smiled.

Carole held Bradely in her arms as they watched the planes flying above them. The toddler was completely fascinated with them; his eyes were wide and he was beaming happily.

Bradely pointed up at a plane, "Mommy!" he gasped, "Is that Daddy's plane?"

Carole squinted up at the bright sky. "Maybe it is, baby." Carole smiled, repositioning Bradely.

"I wanna fly someday too!" Bradely declared, "Then I can be just like Daddy!"

Carole grinned, "You're already just like Daddy, and I love you so much."

Bradely giggled and they stood there for a while longer in the hot sun.

"Look, Bradely!" Carole pointed, "There's Daddy."

Bradely jerked his head into the direction she was pointing and saw two figures in the distance.

"Daddy!" he yelled, squirming out of his mother's arms and racing to Maverick and Goose, "Daddy!"

The taller figure knelt down and spread his arms. "Baby Goose!"

Bradely ran into his father's embrace and hugged him tightly. "I saw you flying the planes!" he exclaimed.

Goose stood up with Bradely in his arms. "You did!?" He asked, "That's so cool!"

"Yeah!" Bradely agreed enthusiastically, "And I wanna fly just like you!"

Goose laughed, "I bet you can kiddo, I bet you can."

"Bradely, honey!" Carole called, "Come say bye bye to Daddy before he leaves."

She heard the loud patter of small feet running across the floor as the toddler raced to say goodbye.

"Ahh, there's my little munchkin!" Goose said, hugging Bradely tightly, "I'm about to go, okay?"

"I'll miss you, Daddy!" Bradely said. Goose laughed, "I'll miss you too Baby Goose."

He hugged him again then turned to hug Carole.

"Now, promise to be good to Mommy?" Goose asked in pretend sternness.

Bradely raised his hand in a little salute. "Promise, Daddy!"

Goose laughed as Carole rolled her eyes. "I love you so much Bradely." He said as he hugged him again.

"I love you, Daddy." Bradely said.

Bradely didn't understand why daddy hadn't come home that night. He didn't understand why Mommy was crying in her chair. But he didn't like it.

So, he climbed up into her lap and squeezed her tightly as best as he could. It seemed that it just made her cry harder.

"Mommy," Bradely whispered, "Don't cry. It's okay, Daddy will be home soon." He started to rub his little hands in small circles on Mommy's back, the same why he'd seen Daddy do it if Mommy was upset.

For days Bradely waited excitedly for the return of his Daddy. Mommy was upset, and Daddy needed to come back home and comfort her. He was getting worried and bit his lip.

"Mommy? When's Daddy coming back?" Bradely asked.

Carole lifted sad eyes to her son and lifted him up on her lap. "Daddy's not here, honey. He's not coming back home." A few tears feel down her cheeks.

"But Daddy is here!" Bradely exclaimed, holding up his plush goose. "See?"

He clicked a small button and there was a recording.

"Baby Goose. I love you and your mama so much, kiddo. And I'm always here, even if you can't see me. I love you; I miss you, and I'll see you soon Baby."

A/N: Not sure if Build-A-Bear was actually around in the late 80's…Idk. But…this actually made me sad. Sorry guys!
