Prologue
"We did it!"
Sunny Starscout wasn't quite sure who said it, but she was sure that pony was right. Opaline was defeated. Equestria was finally free.
Happy tears welled up in Sunny's eyes and she called her friends in for a group hug. Right there, with Hitch, Zipp, Pipp, Izzy, and Misty, she could stay forever.
Once they pulled away, Hitch's stomach grumbled. "Wow. I didn't realize how hungry I was."
Of course you're hungry at the worst times, Sunny thought fondly. Hitch was one of her closest friends since they were foals.
At the old castle where Opaline once reigned, now a tree grew. This wasn't any ordinary tree; it connected Maretime Bay, Bridlewood, and Zephyr Heights. Now the three cities could never be torn apart again.
"Let's get home," Sunny said firmly. Then they started walking home, side by side. Nothing could ever break them apart.
Or could it?
"Look, I have a horn pizza!" Izzy announced after a pizza landed on top of her horn for the third time in a row.
Pipp rolled her eyes. "If you were more careful, we'd have pizza to eat. I'm starving!"
Sunny just smiled and took a different pizza out of the oven. "Let's just be thankful that Izzy didn't land the first one on her head."
Everypony was sitting in the kitchen of the Crystal Brighthouse, and after they each got their slice of pizza, they ran into the living room to watch their favorite movie.
"I want to watch Hooves of Terror 5: The Lost Horseshoe!" Hitch exclaimed. "It just came out, and Hooves of Terror 4 left me on such a cliffhanger."
"I want to watch Undercover Hero! I mean, I already watched it, but you guys have to," Zipp pleaded.
"What if I want to watch Makeover Master?" Pipp asked.
"I want to watch Craft Craft Snack!" Izzy crossed her hooves.
"I thought we might like-" Misty started, but the other four cut her off as they argued about which movie to watch.
"Everypony!" Sunny shouted over the chaos, which at least seemed to shut them up. "Misty has a suggestion." She nodded to Misty kindly. "Go ahead."
"Thanks," Misty whispered just to her. "I think we should watch Hoof Tap. It has adventure, which you want, Hitch, mystery, which you like, Zipp, makeovers, which you want, Pipp, and crafting, which I know you love, Izzy. And Sunny has already watched the movie and loves it."
"That sounds like a great idea, Misty!" Pipp said. "I can't believe you found a movie we'd all like!"
Misty shrugged. "I know my friends," she replied with a smile.
Sunny sat down on the couch with Izzy to her right and Hitch to her left. The movie went by in a flash, and everyone settled down for the night. As Sunny started to drift off, she thought, What happens next?
