This is my contribution to the May #HS Challenge, a reworking of Season 7 Episode 7 Elizabeth Thornton has agreed to an overnight excursion to see Virginia Wolfe with Lucas Bouchard. What will the townspeople and the Hope Valley Mountie think of their visit to Union City?

Hope Valley, 1913. Elizabeth and her children make a new start in a town filled with Hope, with a little help from a Mountie and his niece. A J/E story that could also easily be read as N/E!

Elizabeth Thatcher and Nathan Grant meet while studying, her to be a Teacher, him a Mountie. While the attraction is instantaneous, they know now is not the right time for them; they are both about to graduate and head out on their first assignment, not knowing where that could take them. Will their life's journey lead them to love?

Really... same difference.

Elizabeth Thornton is dating Nathan Grant, her deceased husband's partner. However, she doesn't feel any sparks for him and he's in love with his current partner, Fiona. She knows love and knows that she won't settle for anything less than sparks. Lucas Bouchard just moved to town and is raising his daughter alone. After his wife died, he hasn't thought about dating. Until now.

Jack thought he had it all; a pro-baseball career, money, and charitable work that he dearly loved. That is until a near career ending injury forced him to return to the minor leagues. Never in a million years would he ever have thought that a demotion of sorts could offer such profound possibilities. Now, if he can only talk Elizabeth into giving him a chance!

Down below, his heavily expectant wife Elizabeth made it home from the town's nightly Christmas storytelling to await her absent husband. And in the midst of it all, a long-awaited baby about to make its entrance into the world, perhaps nigh the holiest of nights...

Its the spring break before her senior year in college and Elizabeth is ready to get her life planned, hoping that includes a boyfriend too. So she heads to the beach with her best friend Rosie. Lucas and his friend Lee are on spring break too. Let's see what happens.

Taking our story into the WCTH preview for S-11, E-6 we see memories and events from Elizabeth's perspective as she reads and writes in her journal, until she opens her door to the opportunity for hearts to be fully revealed! This one-shot story fills-in and fleshes-out what we've seen onscreen. Note: In this story Nathan visits the schoolhouse on the same day Mr. H. arrives.

As episode 5 of season 11 drew to a close, Elizabeth told Nathan she considered them more than friends. It was a simple, sweet confession that left the town Constable unable to speak. This story is based on the ending scene from episode 5. This is how I imagine it continuing if Elizabeth hadn’t said goodnight and walked away at the end. The start of the story is taken from the episode.

It's Easter Sunday 1921 in Hope Valley. In hunting for eggs together—and observing two children's masterful teamwork when it comes to securing an egg—Elizabeth and Nathan are forced to confront their feelings for one another, and Elizabeth must surrender her fears. In the process, she is reminded risks are not one-sided, and she doesn't have to take the risk alone.

This story is based on the promo for Episode 6. I wrote the fanfic before episode 5 aired so it may not be in the same timeline as the show but I still wanted to share. Hope you like it!

This story starts as a response to the Suspenders Unbuttoned prompt based on the promotion for Season 11 Episode 5 where Nathan asks Elizabeth "What am I to you? I mean… Are we just friends?"
