Link learns to love the mushroom fashion and pays tribute to the new trend.

Rauru felt like he'd lost a bit of context as he watched Link pile more mushrooms next to himself. Then Link pulled a stack of wood from his inventory. This was followed by Link retrieving a large amount of rope. Link let his feet soak in the hot spring as he began fusing wood to mushrooms.

Rauru asked, "What are you doing?"

"Well, I want to take care of two problems at once. See, that mushroom fashion everyone is wearing gave me an idea."

"I thought we were going to talk to Yunobo?"

"Yeah. He is the obvious candidate for the Fire Sage. Of course, judging by what people are saying, I might need a way to stop him throttling me without hurting him. That's problem number one."

Rauru nodded but then confessed, "I still don't understand."

"I've done something similar to this before, but the other thing I wanted to do is test the shock absorption properties of the common Hylian Shroom."

Rauru's eyes narrowed as he caught on. "There's got to be a better way to do that. Don't you have Buster at Tarrey Town?"

Link shrugged as he started strapping wood onto his spare tunic. He pulled out a weird green hat that vaguely disturbed him. If he was going to be making a silly outfit, this was the hat to sacrifice. "Yeah but this is more interesting, don't you think?" Link examined the handiwork closely. "This isn't going to hold up for long, but I think it will do the trick for Yunobo."

Clearly-Not-Himself Yunobo heard the muffled laughter of Slergo and Offrak outside. 'Princess Zelda' said something to him that he agreed with. Yunobo figured he'd better see what those two were up to since it clearly wasn't keeping intruders out.

Link bounced in.

Yunobo's shock completely overrode Phantom Ganon's commands for a moment when he took in that ensemble. While he'd seen mushroom outfits around Hyrule, he hadn't seen anything like what Link had assembled. Wood pieces were tied to his arms, legs, back, and chest. A mushroom sprouted from the green hood Link had donned. Link even had shrooms on his shield. On top of all this nonsense, Link sported a big old grin. "President Yunobo! Hi! I got a new outfit too! I was inspired seeing you had a new look."

The two Goron children curled up in laughter and secondhand embarrassment behind Link. They'd meant to make their feelings known to their brother, but this was simply too much to bear.

(The 'Princess' decided this was too much to bear too. She facepalmed, gave an order to the masked Yunobo, and vanished. This was just too stupid to watch. Rauru had already elected to stay outside the cave to appreciate the sky. Rauru quickly realized he was not alone anymore. He was too irritated to pretend to fall for this. Rauru glared at the Phantom. "Get your own stargazing spot, false one."

The fake princess said, "That is your champion that you placed so much faith in? your wife died for this?"

Yunobo landed the first charge on Link. The shock absorbing bounciness of the shroom armor sent Link ricocheting around like a miniblin on a sugar rush. Link's experience being repeatedly thrown about by life helped when Link quickly righted himself. "Take that mask off, Yunobo! It looks even worse than my hat!"

"It's a Cece original design! Only the best for the President!" Yunobo charged again. This time, Link hopped neatly to the side. Link then used the non-mushroomified club to deal a solid thwack to the gold mask.

"I thought she only did mushrooms?!" Link was not given a word in reply, Yunobo blazed across the cave again in a roll.

Unfortunately for the two combatants, Yunobo landed a hit on the mushroom plank strapped to Link's shoulder. Both of them went flying. Yunobo's head met a rock roast and cracked it in half. Link's head bounced off the ceiling. As Link landed, he pushed off the floor and over Yunobo's head. A rock roast club smashed hat remained of the mask.

Yunobo's eyes cleared. He blinked and immediately turned to the sounds of laughter. "I don't understand, What are you laughing...?" Yunobo turned to see Link's mushroom gear. "Now I really don't understand. What are you wearing, Link?!"

"Experimental shock absorbing stuff. Don't worry about it."

"Everything's a blur. I was talking to Princess Zelda about something and where is she, anyway?"

Link shrugged as he heard the outbreak of a spectral argument outside. "That one is fake and I think she is outside." Link looked at the cave entrance. "My ghost friend is arguing with them," The fake Zelda melted into a Phantom Ganon and swiped at the Zonai spirit, "ThatiiiwhatisTHATTHING!?" Link instinctively unsheathed proper weaponry before he even finished the sentence. .Rauru was unfazed by the attack since it passed directly through him. Yunobo pushed the two children behind himself. Link moved to draw the fight away from the kids; The Phantom of gloom would prioritize Link over them.

Link fused a light dragon shard to an arrow as the avatar of Gloom turned to glare at Link. Link loaded arrow after arrow into the demonic force and Yunobo took a swing at it with his Boulder Breaker. At the same time, the avatars acted on their auto-pilot combat programming. Yunobo and Link stared at the gloom scorching on the ground before turning to each other.

Yunobo said, "Link, are you all right? Now I really want to ask what's goin on. Uh, Riju? Sidon?" Yunobo waved a hand in front of Tulin's avatar to see if it would react."
