Chapter 14: Wild About You 2:

Donnie's POV:

I woke up and saw we were all tied up. "What's going on," I asked.

"Piper's in big trouble," says Adam, "take a look!"

We saw Piper standing there, wearing a white dress and with her foot chained to the floor.

"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... is Piper in some sort of play," I asked.

"You really don't remember how we got in this mess, do you," asks Adam.

"I guess I'm still a little woozy," I said, "wait, is that Nathan with a book?"

"Oh no, here she comes," says Charlize.

I looked and saw Crystal, also wearing a dress! She was coming in and that's when I realized what was going on! Crystal is forcing Piper into a fake wedding! Then it started to come back to me!

Donnie's POV - Flashback:

We were all sitting there, eating nachos. I was eating mine like a dog again. That's just how I like it! Problem is... they are hot!

"Hey, there's Makenna," says Adam.

"Hey," says Makenna, with a nervous smile.

"You okay," asks Charlize.

"Hi!" Then Crystal came out from behind Makenna.

Piper had a scared look on her face.

"You get anywhere near Piper, and I'll forget you're a girl," says Nathan.

"I deserve that," says Crystal, "but listen, there's something you should hear about me! Growing up, I felt our parents always paid more attention to Makenna! I always thought she was their favorite; I was always in her shadow! Then, I met this girl. She felt sorry for me and tried to be my friend. We were inseparable! At first, I thought she was just like another sister... but then I realized I was falling in love with her! But then I saw her laughing with Makenna! I guess I got so jealous, I went insane and tried to attack my sister and keep the girl for myself!"

"That girl and I were just laughing at Nigel Thornberry's nose," says Makenna, "no offense, Donnie!"

"None taken," I said, "you could fit a hippo in that thing!"

"Anyway, my new therapist helped me realize that obsessions were just a cry for attention," says Crystal.

"It's all true," says Makenna, "our parents did tend to ignore her... and it didn't help that I kept bragging about being their favorite! But I was always so much better at soccer, chess, cooking-"

"They get it," says Crystal, "anyway, I was hoping you could all forgive me!"

"I... I have to go," says Piper. She ran.

"She's kind of afraid of you," I said.

"I can see that," says Crystal.

. . .

I was talking with Piper. "Maybe she has changed," I said.

"Donnie, she can't be cured that quickly," says Piper, "this is a trick! I just know she's still the same psychopath from last time!"

"Well, we'll give you time," I said.

. . .

Crystal was back in school, but no one really trusted her.

"Hey, there's Anna," I said. She was smiling at me, but when she saw Crystal, she slapped her and walked away. "So, that's how it looks!"

"I deserve that," says Crystal, "but you know, I think she was looking at you, flirtatiously!"

"I knew I'd win her over," I said, "she couldn't resist my charm for long!" I then started scratching like a dog.

"Where are you from again," asks Crystal.

. . .

We were having lunch. "Hey Piper," I said. Piper was about to sit with us, but then she saw Crystal and walked away. "Never mind!"

"She didn't have to be so rude," says Charlize.

"It's okay," says Crystal, "after what I did to her!"

"That doesn't change how messed up that was," says Charlize, "I should go talk to her!"

Piper's POV:

I was sitting alone. "So, this is more fun than sitting with your friends," asks Charlize.

"I was just..."

"Piper, I know Crystal was... you know... but she feels really bad for what she did and you're making her feel worse! She even made us these brownies! They are really good, by the way!"

I then sighed. "Okay, I'll talk to her," I said.

Donnie's POV:

"So, that story really true," I asked Makenna.

"Yeah," says Makenna, "and that's not all! She was always bullied by others! Her whole life was bad enough to make anyone insane!"

"Now I feel really bad for her," I said.

Then Makenna gets a phone call. "Hello?" She then hung up. "We have to find Crystal!"

"Why," I asked.

"Because she wasn't released," says Makenna, "she broke out!"

Piper's POV:

I then talked to Crystal. "Hey," I said.

"Hey," says Crystal.

"I just wanted to say... I'm sorry. You're trying to make an effort, and everyone keeps treating you like you're the Devil and that's not fair! I'm willing to start over if you are!" I then held out my hand, expecting a handshake... but instead, she kissed me for a long time.

"I knew you still loved me," says Crystal.

I was scared and I tried to get away, but she refused to let go of my arm. "Let me go," I said.

"You're not going anywhere," says Crystal, "I already had everything ready for our big day!"

"What are you talking about," I asked.

That's when the others showed up. "Let her go," says Donnie. Then, they all started falling down.

"The brownies," I said, "you drugged them!"

Donnie's POV - Present:

And that's how we got here!

"Now I remember," I said, "we gotta get Piper out of here!"

"You're telling me," says Makenna, "I have to wear this ugly bride's maid dress!" We all look at her. "And... Piper needs our help too! Sorry!"

"I'm not license to officiate a wedding," says Nathan.

"It's not like I can find anyone to legally marry teenagers," says Crystal, "NOW, GET TO IT!"

"UUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmmm... dearly beloved, we are gathered here to ruin Piper's life because I am forced to unite her with this psycho lesbian stereotype! If anyone wants to save our friend, speak now or doom her forever," says Nathan.

"Good enough," says Crystal.

"I'm going in," I said, still a little woozy from the brownies. I started wabbling to the alter. "Can someone teach me how to operate these things?" I then made it. "Crystal, I can't let you do this!"

"No one can ever love her like I do," says Crystal.

"Wait," I said, "Crystal, don't you think your love isn't real?"

"That's what my therapist said," says Crystal, "but I know we were meant to be!"

"You had to shackle Piper's arm to the floor," I said, "and look at her! She's scared! You're scaring her! You're not her Princess Charming, you're her bogeywoman!"

Crystal looks at her. "You don't understand," says Crystal, "everyone I have ever loved... they always left me!"

"Because you always drove them away," I said, "I don't know if you'll ever find the one, but you can't force them!"

Crystal then looks at herself and drops the bouquet.

. . .

Crystal was being taken in. "Thanks Donnie," says Piper.

"I can't believe I thought it would be that easy," says Makenna.

"Well, she did kind of change," I said, "this time, she wanted to go for a wedding!"

"The fact that Donnie was able to reach out to her could prove there's a chance she might change," says Piper.

"Don't hold your breath," says Nathan, "I heard about a girl in New York who seemed to change after her second attempt to get a boy, but then she tried the wedding thing in her third attempt. I think they called her Creepy something!"

"We'll have to wait and see," says Charlize.

I feel that maybe people should start feeling more sympathy for people with... mental problems. And yes, that was a reference to Creepy Connie. I also wanted to acknowledge that she didn't get better. In the next chapter, Donnie's friends meet Eliza.
