Chapter 26: The Wild Thornberrys (2):

Donnie's POV:

Well, good news is, I managed to impress Anna's parents. Something about protecting her from my stalker really showed how much I care. Anyway, nothing could ruin this!

Eliza's POV:

I was with Shane. We were watching Mighty Joe Young. "I swear, this movie's a rip off of King Kong," says Shane.

"Actually, it was produced by the same creative team responsible for King Kong," I said. Then there was a tap on the window. "I'll see who it is!" I then walked over to it.

. . .

It was a bird. "Can I help you," I asked.

"Eliza, the Shaman Mnyambo sent me! You must meet with him at once! He is currently in the city!"

"Now," I asked, "I'm kind of in the middle of something!"

"It's urgent!"

I then sighed. "Fine, but I'm going to need you to do one thing for me!"

. . .

"So, this bird needs your help," asks Shane.

"Oh... why... it's getting dark... I'm coming, Grandma!"

He's lucky Shane can't understand him. "I'm sorry. I promise, it won't be long!" I then kissed Shane and we left.

. . .

Darwin and I met with the Shaman. "This better be good," I said, "I had to ditch my boyfriend while we were watching Mighty Joe Young!"

"I did you a favor," says Mnyambo, "that was just a rip off of King Kong! Anyway, remember when I told you you had a destiny!"

"Oh yeah," I said, "you looked and acted different!"

"Oh good, you noticed that too," says Mnyambo, "I thought it was just me! Anyway, I met an evil man! He had a wooden leg!"

"Did he have a dimwitted sidekick," I asked.

"Oh yeah," says Mnyambo.

"Kip O'Donnell," I said, "he's bad news!"

"I tried to punish him, but instead, I accidently turned him to... a monster and now, you must stop him!"

"What is my destiny," I asked.

"You must bring balance between man and animal," says Mnyambo.

"And how do you expect me to beat Kip," I asked.

"That... I do not know, but if you do, I might be able to turn him back," says Mnyambo.

"How bad could Kip be... in this form that is," says Darwin, "I know how bad he can be generally."

Donnie's POV:

I told Adam all about it. "You the man," says Adam.

"Because I managed to win over Anna's parents," I asked.

"No, because Anna still likes you after you managed to win over her parents," says Adam.

We both laughed. Then this weird new monster came. It had the head of a lion, the body of an elephant, the arms of a gorilla, the wings of an eagle, tentacles instead of legs, and a snake's tail! It then walked away.

"That was new," I said.

"Hey, Kip, wait up," says Biederman, running past us.

"Kip," we both asked.

. . .

I spoke with the guys. "So, Kip's become some kind of monster," asks Charlize.

"I don't know what happened," I said.

"He looked like something from a nightmare," says Adam.

"Maybe it's like what happened at the zoo or Indigo Park," says Piper.

"Y'know, Donnie, we didn't even notice any weird things until we met you," says Nathan.

"So, what do you think Kip would be after," asks Adam.

I then had a thought. "Eliza," I said, "come on!"

Anna's POV:

We were waiteeng fahr ze pahlice to peeck up Pahppy. "So, how ahre you," I ahsked.

"You stole my one true love, so how do you think? The only reaso why he likes you is because you have that stupid french accent! And you're hot too. What? I'm bi!"

"I understahnd your feeleengs. Eet's true, aht first, I wahnt nahtheeng to do weeth heem, but zen I gaht to know heem ahnd I learned zat he ees mahre zan just a peeg, he ees ze mahst wahnderful peeg I hahve evair met ahnd... I sink I lahve heem!"

"You two are wrong for each other! You're a snob and he's a free spirit!"

"Zey say oppahsites ahttrahct! You ahre very good aht stunts. Perhahps you should stahp doing zem fahr heem ahnd stahrt doing zem fahr you!"

"I do have a lot of fun doing them."

"I'm sure you'll find ze right persahn one day, you just hahve to stahp trying to fahrce eet!"

"Thanks."

I zen sahw Dahnnie ahnd hees friends runneeng ahnd I decided to see whaht ziss ees ahll ahbout!

Kip's POV:

I was searching for Eliza Thornberry. "Kip, can you hear me," asks Biederman, "we gotta find a way to turn you back!"

I can understand him, but in my new form, he can't understand me! "I won't do anything until I get rid of the one person who ruined my life," I said.

"What?" says Biederman as I step on him then continued on.

Eliza's POV:

Kip came and I was facing him.

"Eliza, this is a terrible mistake," says Darwin.

"Darwin, I just want you to know... you've always been my best friend," I said. I then walked to him. "Kip?"

"Thornberry," says Kip, "can you understand me?"

"I can," I said.

"So, that's how you've managed to beat me before," says Kip, "you can talk to animals! That shaman who cursed me! He did this, did he?"

"Yes," I said.

"Interesting," says Kip, "all this time, I never suspected! But what does this make you? Are you still part of the human world or are you part of the animal world now?"

"There is no human world or animal world," I said, "we all share the world!"

"Fascinating," says Kip, "now die!"

He then tried to attack me, but I moved.

Donnie's POV:

We arrived and saw Kip trying to kill Eliza.

"Dahnnie, whaht ees going on," asks Anna.

"That's what we're trying to figure out," I said.

Kip then grabbed Eliza with one of her tentacles. I then jumped in and bit that tentacle. Kip then screamed and let go.

"Let's get you away from this," says Adam.

"You don't understand," says Eliza, "I have to stop him!" We all got in a car and drove away. "Do any of you guys even have licenses?"

. . .

We crashed the car. "UUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmmm... who does this car belong to," asks Nathan.

"Now's not the time," I said. We then heard a roar.

"It's Kip," says Eliza, "he's coming for me!"

"Why do you have to be the one to stop him," asks Piper.

"I can't tell you," says Eliza.

"Why not," asks Charlize, "it can't be that big a deal!"

We heard that roar again. "Oh no," says Eliza.

"What," I asked.

Eliza then ran.

We then ran after her.

. . .

We saw that Kip had Mom, Dad, and Darwin!

"But... how deed you know," asks Anna.

"I can't say," says Eliza.

I then jumped in her way. "You're not moving until you tell us what's going on," I said.

"Donnie, our parents are in danger," says Eliza.

"Hey, I could save them," I said, "it's just you that's being blocked!"

Eliza then sighs. "Donnie, you don't remember because you were really young, but... I can talk to animals!"

"What," we all said.

"And if I told anyone, I would lose this gift," says Eliza, "though, strange it's not happening right now!"

"Maybe that's because the magic police would have other things to worry about," says Adam, pointing to Kip.

"Good point," says Eliza.

"This is too much to process," says Piper.

"I have to stop Kip and bring balance between Man and Beast," says Eliza.

"Wait, I think I might have an idea," I said, "but first, we better get to the defeating Kip part!"

We looked as Kip was about to kill Mom, Dad, and Darwin!

"Kip," says Eliza, "it's me you want, so come and get me!"

"Gladly," says Kip. He then chased after her.

Eliza's POV:

Kip chased me into the zoo. "The zoo," asks Kip, "this was the best you can come up with? I rule the Animal Kingdom!"

"FREEZE!" These guys blinded him with some kind of light.

"Who are you guys," I asked.

"Friends of your brother's! Now go!" I then ran.

. . .

Now I was in this theme park. "What happened here," I asked.

"Thornberry! It's the end for you," says Kip.

"Welcome to Indigo Park," says this raccoon AI thing, "have you met Lloyd?"

Then a lion attacked Kip. "Wow," I said.

"Wait til he sees Finley," says the AI.

Then a big sea serpent came and grabbed Kip. I then ran.

. . .

Now I'm in the park. Kip showed up. "Enough games!" Then mud was thrown at him by some 6-year-old.

"Hey, I'm Lana Loud!"

"Donnie's met some interesting people," I said. I then ran.

. . .

Now I'm at the beach. Kip then showed up. "I could've killed that girl, but I want you to be my first kill," says Kip.

Then these two ghosts came and grabbed him. I then ran.

. . .

I was getting exhausted. I was in the garage. I then found the disco ball Donnie probably used for his party. Then Kip came. "This ends now!" Then the Comvee crashed into him.

"You will no' be harming our daughter," says Dad as he and Mom were driving the Comvee.

"None of you will get in my way," says Kip.

"Hey Kip!" Debbie throws a garbage can at him. "A certain friend of Eliza's told me about this!"

"Cannonball on Kip," says Donnie, jumping on him.

"GET OFF ME!"

As soon as Kip threw Donnie on him, I plugged in the disco ball and threw it on Kip's head, his head ended up in it while it was on and unlike what you've seen in cartoons, he got electrocuted!

Donnie's POV:

"Wha' I don'' understand is... how did Kip become a mutan' monster in the firs' place," asks Dad.

"Probably that Dr. Animo guy," I said. I then grabbed Eliza. "There's still one thing you gotta do!"

. . .

"Ladies and Gentlemen," I said, "the Wild Ones are proud to present special guest singer, my sister!"

"Whaht do I do," asks Anna.

"You can dance," I said, "Eliza, sing!"

Eliza: UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh...

"Thanks to that song, people are now starting to see animals as their equals, but it will be long before they realize it," says Mnyambo, "and as for you, Adam, Charlize, Piper, Nathan, Anna, and Donnie! For your part, I give you all a gift!" Then magic came around us.

"So, what is the gift," I asked.

"UUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmmm... I have no idea," says Mnyambo, "I did not think that through!"

"Let's go," says Eliza.

. . .

We were all walking. "I wish I knew what that gift was," says Adam. We then heard cheering. We looked down and saw it was a sponge and a starfish.

"That was amazing," says the sponge.

"I liked the song," says the starfish.

"Woah, a talking sponge and a talking starfish," says Nathan.

"Why are they wearing clothes," asks Charlize.

"Who cares," asks Piper, "how are they talking?"

"You mean you can understand them," asks Eliza.

"Well, did our side win," asks Darwin.

"The monkey's talking," says Adam.

"Ahnna, I wahs so wahrried ahbout you! Ahre you okay," asks Rose.

"Rahse... you... you cahn..." Anna then faints in my arms.

"I... I think you guys can talk to animals now," says Eliza.

"Woah," we all said.

"And to think, I forgot how to understand them as I got older," I said.

One Year Later:

Well, everything's going well. Crystal's let out and she found someone... Poppy Chambers! Go figure. Anyway, Adam's now dating Crystal's sister, Makenna. Piper's dating Adam's cousin, Shannon. Nathan's dating Vivian, that werewolf we met before. Eliza's now hosting her own wildlife show. It's the world's second most-watched nature show, right behind Dad's. By the way, Mom and Dad got out of retirement. My girlfriend, Anna's embracing her wild side. As for me, yeah, I'm never changing! Oh, and my friends and I can now magically talk to animals. That's civilization for you.

The End
