Chapter 4: The Story You Learned About from the First Chapter:
Sonic's POV:
Aneka pulled me into her house.
Princess Kurumi's POV - Flashback:
My name is Princess Kurumi of Ohkami. It was the year 1630. I was trained in the art of ninjitsu. I got tired of people getting killed trying to protect me, so I figured it would have been easier to just learn to defend myself. I was racing to keep the Chaos Scroll out of the hands of Gyokuro. I was then faced with him.
"Give me the scroll," says Gyokuro.
"You will never have it," I said.
We then fought, but then I managed to kill him.
"You... may... have... won... for... now... but... I... will... come... back... and... when... I... do... the... scroll... will... be... mine!"
"There is only one thing I can do," I said, "Chaos Scroll, choose the ninja that will protect you should he ever return!" The scroll then shows me an image. "Strange, he does not look human... he looks more like a purple lizard or something. Still, I too, will reborn and when the time comes, my memories will return, and I will guide him!"
Sonic's POV - Present:
"OOOOOoooookkkkkaaaaayyyyy," I said, "and you think you're this ninja princess girl?"
"I was," says Aneka, "look, I know you think I'm vain and shallow, but I do care about the fate of the world and if Espio doesn't accept his destiny, Gyokuro will find the scroll and use its power over Earth, Fire, Lightning, and Ice!"
"Isn't it normally Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water," I asked.
She then picks me up and shakes me. "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! Gyokuro could have reincarnated into anyone!"
"First, put me down," I said, "it's hard enough coming back to the planet where everyone's taller than me. Anyway, I'll try to talk to Espio and see if I can get Section Twelve to look for Gyokuro. By the way, how did you find Section Twelve?"
"Those weird Addams people told me," says Aneka.
"That figures," I said.
. . .
I was back at Section Twelve. "Somehow, I gotta convince Espio to help Aneka," I said.
"Easier said than done," says Rouge, "I've tried to convince him to do certain things... but I haven't gotten a reply."
"TMI," I said.
"Can't we just force him to go along with this," asks Shadow.
"Let me thing about that," I said, "no."
"Can we not find this scroll without him," asks Omega.
"The scroll chose him," I said, "and I have a feeling it's very picky."
"Sonic, we're searching for Gyokuro," says Captain Fox, "it won't be easy, for all we know, he could have reincarnated into a dog... like that one movie about the man who reincarnated into a dog, or that other movie about the dog who kept reincarnating into different dogs, or-"
"I think I get it," I said, "Aneka drew me a picture of what Gyokuro looks like. Maybe there's a chance he reincarnated into someone that looks like him."
"I'm not sure that's how reincarnation works," says Shadow.
"Have you ever been reincarnated," I asked.
"No, I was an experiment," says Shadow.
"Then you're no expert," I said.
Espio's POV:
I decided to go for a walk. I then heard something. "Who's there," I asked.
"Don't be afraid." It was Yusuke Mifune, the pharmaceutical guy.
"What do you want," I asked.
"I understand you're having a problem," says Mifune, "I can help."
I don't trust him. How does he know about my problem? "Talk," I said.
"I can help you escape your destiny," says Mifune.
"Really," I asked. He's Gyokuro.
"Just tell me where the scroll is," says Mifune.
"Sure," I said, "there's just one problem... I don't know!" Then, suddenly, I had a vision! I saw the scroll and it was on a Samurai themed float at the Thanksgiving parade.
"Now you know," says Mifune, "tell me where it is!"
We then fought. He was a skilled ninja. Probably because he was in his past life.
"I won't let you get the scroll," I said.
"Hey, are we invited," asks Sonic, and along with him are Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Vector, Charmy, and Mighty.
"Get away from here," I said.
Sonic then gets a call. "Hello," asks Sonic, "yeah, Captain Fox, we already just found out Yusuke Mifune is Gyokuro. Uh-huh. Yeah, we'll get the potatoes later." Sonic then hangs up.
"Come and get me," says Mifune.
Everyone then jumps at him, but then he does a smokescreen and disappears.
"We really should've seen that coming," says Vector.
"Wait," says Shadow, "where's Rouge?"
