Chapter 5: Wake Up:

Sonic's POV:

I managed to get Shadow off. He was still snoring. "Shadow, snap out of it!"

"It's dangerous to wake a sleepwalker!"

"Who are you," I asked.

"Call me Wiseman! Wiseman the Wicked!"

"You're that guy... the one who escaped... the psychic!"

"Now you're not the only one with power!"

"What are you talking about," I asked.

"There are four types of men in this world: 1. The man who knows, and knows that he knows; he is wise, so consult him. 2. The man who knows but doesn't know that he knows; help him not forget what he knows. 3. The man who knows not and knows that he knows not; teach him. 4. Finally, there is the man who knows not but pretends that he knows; he is a fool, so avoid him."

"Where are you getting these words," I asked.

"They're all phrases from wisemen, you fool," says Wiseman.

"Oh... I get it now."

Shadow then continued to sleep fight me. Somehow, I had to wake him up.

"Now, you will know what it's like to be the insect among a God!"

"Look, I get it," I said, "but I'm not that kind of guy. I don't think I'm better than everyone else, I'm just faster, cooler, better looking... okay, now I hear it."

"It's time someone put you in your place," says Wiseman, "and Shadow is the key!"

I then ran and Shadow ran after me.

Sally's POV:

Rouge came. "You seen Shadow," asks Rouge.

"No," I said.

"He's been asleep all day and then he disappeared," says Rouge.

"Wait, all day," I asked.

"That's what I said," says Rouge.

Then the Mayor came. "Is my order ready," asks the Mayor.

"Order," I said, "uuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm... Amy got a request from Shadow."

"Yep, that's my nickname," says the Mayor, "back in high school, I would follow my wife like a creepy person. It was a miracle we got together."

"Oh boy," I said.

Sonic's POV:

I was still trying to wake Shadow up while he was still trying to kill me.

"It's over," says Wiseman, "I control Shadow's dreams and through them, I control Shadow!"

"You are really starting to get on my nerves," I said. I then saw a guitar store and ran to it.

. . .

I arrived at the guitar store. Shadow then came. "Ready to face the music," asks Wiseman.

"No, are you?" I then played the guitar so loud; it woke Shadow up.

"What," asks Shadow.

"A psychotic psychic took control of you and made you attack me," I said.

"Let's go find him," says Shadow.

. . .

We found him in Eggman's old lab, but when we got there, he started attacking us in our minds.

"I am the most powerful mind on the planet," says Wiseman, "neither of you can stop me!"

The energy I tend to generate, it was going nuts and then... I exploded...

. . .

"Well, that happened," says Shadow.

"But what about Wiseman," I asked.

He was unconscious. A guy that can attack you in your dreams. That would be very dangerous.
