Harry read the note from his mother, his fingers trembling as he read the last paragraph. Her hand pressed harder on the paper, almost tearing it in places. As he thought about it, he noticed that his shin guards had been taken off. Not kicked off, but pulled off his body dressed only in his boxers, and his computer chair was turned towards the bed.
Pushing the strange details out of his head, Harry got ready and rushed to the afternoon training, trying not to think about what mom and her friends might have up their sleeves. He thought about it as he returned home that evening, his stomach growling, and his skin covered in dried sweat.
"I'm going to order pizza," Rose yelled from her room. "What do you want?"
"Get me pepperoni," Harry replied, dropping his bag in the laundry room and pulling out the laundry.
"We get half of that," Rose said, hanging her head in the laundry room. "I meant, what do you want on the other half?"
"I want a large pepperoni," Harry said, his stomach giving a loud rumble.
Rose rolled her eyes and said, "Boys! Okay, you'll get your own pizza," turning to leave, she called back over her shoulder. "The new Marvel movie is on streaming. We're watching it in the den when the pizza arrives, if you want to join us."
Harry couldn't help but peek his head around the door and watch her perfect ass bouncing up and down in her tight yoga pants. It should be illegal for a woman to wear those things, knowing what they do to men's minds.
Those perfect curves were bouncing around in his head as he changed out of his workout clothes. Disgusted, he sat down at his desk and pulled out his book on runes. He wanted to take a shower, but he knew if he did, he'd pass out shortly after. His body was so exhausted.
The book engaged his mind for an hour, and it felt good to have it done. He only had to read a little bit over the weekend. He was just shutting down his computer when the doorbell rang, and Daphne announced that the pizza had arrived.
Hearing her voice sent a shiver down his spine, and he threw on a shirt and loose shorts and ran downstairs. Daphne gave him a bright smile as he entered the kitchen and grabbed three plates.
"Hey, slugger, how was practice?" she asked.
Harry Potter tried to keep his cool as the girl ruffled him, but he couldn't help feeling his cheeks flush when she leaned in close. "Exhausting," he muttered, finally managing to break free from her embrace.
"First game's tomorrow, right?" He nodded as she handed him a plate, but she held onto it tightly and flashed him a cheeky grin. "We're coming in full regalia, so you better win."
"I can't promise anything," Harry replied, finally managing to wrestle the plate from Rose's grip as she turned to grab her own pizza. "Who's all coming?"
"Daphne and I," said Rose, splashing into the kitchen as she settled her tight white shirt into place. "Her mom's organizing everything. Isabella Greengrass is the biggest fan of the band."
"She has some obsession," Daphne agreed, grabbing two slices onto her plate. "That's why I'm applying to the agency."
"What agency?" Harry asked.
"Coleman and Pratt," Rose grumbled. "Daphne's going to be a sports agent."
"I'll probably just be hired as an assistant, but a girl can dream," Daphne added.
"You'd be an amazing agent," Harry's friend, sister, chimed in, grabbing a few slices and joining them at the table. "You always seal the deals, and nobody knows marketing and branding better than you."
"I could do the job," Daphne agreed. "But it's getting the group of old-timers to see that I can. That'll be the trick."
"Is there any way to show them what you're capable of?" Harry asked, finally getting a chance to speak after popping a slice into his mouth.
"I'm so glad you asked," Daphne beamed, standing up from her seat and pulling out her phone. She flipped it over and leaned across the table to show me a sunscreen advertisement. "What do you think about modeling?"
"Modeling?" Harry wrinkled his nose and shook his head.
"Listen to me," Daphne said, with Rose nodding eagerly enough that Harry suspected a trap. "My aunt owns the company and is putting together a marketing campaign for the sunscreen. She wanted me to ask my gorgeous friend," she waved to Rose and rolled her eyes, sister giving me a cheeky wink as she continued, "to be in it, but I think she's targeting the wrong demographic."
"The what, now?"
"The wrong group of people," Daphne patiently explained, reminding Harry of Tracey, who always had been patient with him, and shot pang of pain through him. Pushing that thought aside, he focused back on the girl standing in front of him. She was still leaning over the table, and he noticed she wasn't wearing a bra under her dark shirt.
"Men don't buy that stuff, women do, and you... have the look that women want to buy."
Harry buried his face back in his pizza and took a few quick bites before responding. "How does that help you get a job?"
"If you're as good as Rose says, you could be a serious prospect," she shrugged and sank back into her chair. "If I'm already representing a sportsperson and securing endorsements and even brand ambassador contracts for them, I'll prove I can do the job."
"Why not start your own business?" Rose asked, and Harry noticed a glint in her eye that usually meant trouble.
Harry Potter glanced between his two friends, Daphne and Rose, who were starting to plan their business. Daphne shook her head, peeling the pepperoni off her slice but not eating it. "I couldn't do it," she said. "I wouldn't even know where to start."
"First thing's first, we need a business plan," said Rose, bouncing out of her seat and running to the kitchen. She returned a moment later with a paper and a box of colorful pens. "Are you going to write one now?" Daphne laughed in disbelief, and Harry chuckled along with her.
"And you're not leaving this table until it's done, if I know my sister," added Harry.
"You're staying put too, mister. The input of athletes would be invaluable," said Daphne.
Harry still had three-quarters of his pizza left, so he wasn't in a rush to leave. Daphne was surprised to see this side of her friend, but Rose's force of personality swept her along. And Harry was surprised at how much sister had retained from school and business classes.
Rose sketched out the basic agency goals and marketing objectives. She didn't know much about the operational side of the business, but Daphne knew some of it, and Google helped with the rest.
It was exciting to hear them so enthusiastic. Daphne began brainstorming ways to attract other athletes from various disciplines. She was big in tennis and knew some girls who were in elite clubs that could get the word out. She jotted down their names, and she and Harry did deep dives into their social media profiles, looking for angles to sign them.
"This could work," said Daphne, gazing at the colorful pages spread out on the kitchen table.
"It really could," replied Rose with a smile.
"You're the key to this, Harry," Daphne said, nodding her head. "If you're willing to sign a contract and pay us fifteen percent of the sunscreen campaign, we could take it to the bank and get a loan to make this thing official."
Harry considered it for a few seconds, and Rose let out an audible sigh.
"Come on, Harry, you know you'll do it," she said. "Okay," replied Harry with a nod. "But it all feels... weird."
"That's because you still see yourself as a stupid kid," said Rose, shaking her head. "Look in the mirror or better yet, look at how our friends drool over you."
"Which friends?" Daphne asked with a wide grin. "Are they hot?"
Harry's mouth went dry as he saw what they were wearing. Their butts disappeared, and they both wore matching sets of tiny black lingerie. The same lace patterns pressed against their smooth, pale bellies, visible through their short, plain white t-shirts.
"Shut your mouth, or you'll catch flies," Rose winked at him before throwing the blanket back over their trio. After cleaning up, they piled onto the sectional couch and put on a movie. Harry went to make a bowl of popcorn, and when he turned around, the girls were under the thick blanket. Rose patted the spot between them and shifted the blanket to make room.
Harry's eyes widened at the sight of them in lingerie, but he quickly composed himself and joined them under the blanket.
