Sol
A Story of Blaze-san
I: Coming of Age
Four years have passed since both the Chaos and Sol Dimensions have achieved peace. While not completely without flaw, both worlds could relish in the fact that the many large threats of yesterday are a thing of the past. Although this has affected the lives of everyone since, though one in particular has seen significant change in the coming years. This is the story of the Sol Empire's Princess, Blaze.
We begin our story on Southern Island, home to the Coconut Crew and their Captain, Marine the Raccoon. Once perceived as a nuisance by many, the young lash has come a lot way since her first meeting with the princess. She often accompanies Blaze in her endeavors maintaining peace among her kingdom and the others around it. However, today was different.
Blaze was standing at the end of the dock looking over the ocean as if pondering. In mere days, she will reach the age of eighteen and will be granted the title of queen. This inevitability haunts the young princess as she is only being granted this title due to the current queen being ill. Her emotions have long been conflicted, and now they near their apex.
Marine would slowly pull her personal water bike up to the dock looking up to her friend. "Everything alright, mate?" The raccoon was concerned knowing that her friend was conflicted.
Blaze looked down closing her eyes letting out an exhausted sigh. "I can't help but feel I'm not ready for this."
"Nonsense, Blaze. You've been preparing for this for years now. You'll be every bit as great a queen as your mother."
The feline smiled slightly admiring her friend's confident in her abilities and knowledge. "You're too kind, Captain."
"Please, call me Marine. You don't got to be so formal here."
"Perhaps." Blaze looked back to the island reminiscing about her time facing her old enemies. "I just can't shake this feeling that things will be different."
Marine climbed up onto the dock. "Relax, your highness. Just because you're becoming a queen doesn't mean you can't still do what you want to."
"I'll have more responsibilities than before though. I just can't promise that I'll be able to…" Before she could finish her statement, she heard something nearby. "What was that?"
"It can't be Gardon. He's still out at sea gathering material."
Blaze and Marine soon began to feel what felt like a tremor on the island. Taking evasive action, the two of them would move inland trying to pinpoint the source of the tremor. Once they got closer, a drill had pierced through the ground beneath them and soon the Magma Hurricane.
The feline turned to Marine confused. "I thought this vessel was decommissioned years ago."
"It was!" Marine was just as perplexed herself. "Someone must have commandeered it!"
Blaze would soon realize that was the case as the vessel appeared to be vandalized with a strange insignia. She appeared the vessel only for the hatch to open as three passengers emerge to greet the princess.
One of the passengers was revealed to be a goat peasant. "Well, well, well. It's a been a long time, Blaze-san."
Blaze recognized the goat immediately addressing her by the name she had come to choose for herself. "Jilt."
