This is the story of a boy, Hitori, who possesses the Quirk 'Negative Zero'. However he has a goal in mind, to defeat his father and destroy the hidden army but to do that he must become something he believes he isn't worthy of, become a hero. With some help he applied to U.A. High School to begin his own journey of liberation.

Hitori knew he shouldn't have taken the scenic route to the train station. He calculated the amount of time it would take him to reach the station and make it to school with plenty of time to spare.
However, he accidentally wondered down an alleyway and encountered a hero trying to apprehend a criminal. His sudden appearance distracted the hero which allowed the criminal to pull out a syringe and immediately inject into his own neck.
Hitori's senses locked onto the criminal, feeling the emotions brewing within the criminal but the most prevalent was desperation. The hero grabbed him shoulders and shoved him away while yelling, "Get the hell outta here kid, things are about to get ugly!"
Not needing to be told twice Hitori bolted out of the alleyway, while internally cursing himself for running away instead of helping, but rationalized that if he did help it could have repercussions. Since the hero explicitly gave him orders to run and not fight.
He ran about half a block before he felt something sail straight past him and stopped himself in his tracks. Hitori slowly turned to his left and saw the same hero from earlier embedded into the side of a city bus. Suddenly a loud screech echoes behind him causing him to turn around and was met with a hulking figure of 10-foot tall werewolf thrashing around in the middle of the street. Another hero seemed to have arrived and was restraining the villain with steel chains, Hitori deduced that the new hero's Quirk allowed him to create chains.
However, just as things seemed to have been brought under control the villain started emitting fire from its body, which cause the steel chains to start melting. The hero summoned more chains in their right hand and whipped them at the villain striking the back of their head.
The villain didn't seem to react to the strike other than turn towards the hero who struck him with a bloodthirsty snarl. The hero paled in the face of the werewolf and tried to tighten the chains around the villain, however, the werewolf incinerated the steel and rushed towards him.
The hero stepped back and kept trying to attack the villain but to no avail as the beast rapidly approached him, "Just stay still already you damn mutt!" He was tackled to the ground as the werewolf stood over him as its jaws descended onto the hero, "O-oh shit! Somebody help m-" the hero was cutoff when the villains jaw snapped shut over the hero's head.
Hitori was helping the downed hero up when he heard a bloodcurdling scream from behind and turned around to see the other hero struggling against the werewolf. He froze when he saw the outrageous amount of blood leaking from the wolf's mouth and drenching the asphalt in blood. Eventually the hero stopped struggling and ceased moving before the villain tugged with all its might and tore the head off the man's shoulder.
The villain turned towards them with man's head still trapped in his jaw before spitting the head onto the sidewalk. Hitori felt his body turn cold at the sight and purplish-black energy stated pooling from his hairline and slowly began traveling as he felt fear within himself. He locked eyes with werewolf and saw bits of viscera and bits of bone within its infernal jaws.
Hitori gulped audibly as he extended his right arm to the side and let his Quirk slip into his arm but stopped when he felt a weight on his shoulder. He looked over his shoulder to see the hero shaking his head at him, "Don't get involved kid this ain't your fight, it's mine." The hero pulled out his phone and quickly dialed a number and said, "This is Monarch requesting support near Shizuoka Station, I got a villain who's boosted up on Trigger! The villains Quirk turned him into a werewolf with fire abilities as well and he killed Chainlink, so lethal force is authorized!"
Hitori finally turned towards Monarch and took a good look at the hero, only to realize he dressed plainly. The man before him wore a plain white button-up shirt with a loose black tie and black slacks. His black hair was messy with random bits spiking upwards, almost as if he just got out of bed. If looks could kill then Monarchs charcoal eyes would've put down the villain by now, though the look is kind of ruined when you have a massive bruise on your face.
Monarch glances over at him and realizes that the kid just saw a man get murdered in front of him. He could see the boys Quirk simmering just beneath his hairline and wonders what kind of power he had but quickly tuned out the thought in favor of attempting to calm down the boy. "Kid I need you to stay calm, you'll be okay." The boy breathes in deeply and seems to quickly set his anxious expression into an indifferent expression as he nods back at Monarch.
Monarch points to the nearby alleyway and says, "Now you should go hide cause things are gonna get ugly here in a moment. Can't have you getting in the crossfire while I'm fighting."
Hitori slowly moved behind the hero as the werewolf's eyes continues tracking him and timidly asks, "U-um are you sure you don't need my help? My Quirk is quite powerful and no offense sir but you don't look all that strong sir." He noted that Monarch was kind of skinny and didn't look like he had any muscle.
Monarch turned to him with an irritated expression, "What the hell is that supposed to mean you brat?!" Monarch shook his head as a distant boom is heard in the distance, "I'll take care of this and show you that strength isn't everything in a fight."
Monarch marched towards the villain in lackadaisical manner and seemed entirely focused on the werewolf, although Hitori noticed that the villains shadow contorted in on itself. The werewolf launched itself at Monarch in a feral rage and would've clawed his face off if it for his own shadow holding him back.
Monarch stood face to face with the villain and taunted it, "Can't move huh? That's one of my special moves I call 'Shackling Shade'. You won't beat me mutt but I'll keep you busy until she arrives." The shadow transformed itself into a hand and tossed the villain down the street, tearing up the asphalt as it crashed.
The werewolf quickly recovered and turned to face Monarch but only to realize that he wasn't in front of him anymore. His senses warned him of something being behind and turned around, only to be with a shadowy fist colliding with its jaw that slightly staggered the villain.
Monarch tsked in annoyance, "Barely enough power huh? If it was darker out this wouldn't have even been a challenge. Guess I'll have to actually put some effort into this." He flicked his wrist and a shadowy claw manifested and slashed at the villains torso but it was quick to dodge and its hip was only grazed by the claw.
The werewolf charged him and swung his claw at Monarch but the hero quickly blocked the strike and ducked a chomp from the wolf before striking it in the throat with a shadow palm. The villain gurgled as its head reared back which allowed Monarch to reach out and manipulate nearby to grapple the wolf and repeatedly slam it into the ground before tossing villain into a building, destroying the doorway.
Monarch winced at the damage he caused to the building as walked over, "Hope no one was in that building. She's gonna give me so much shit for doing that." In his musing he lost track of the werewolf, who quickly crossed the distance between them and dug its claws into Monarchs left arm.
Monarchs roared in pain as he quickly pulled out a knife and stabbed the villain in the chest. The knife was encased in a shadowy aura and it enlarged which pushed the villain off of him, letting go of his arm. Monarch nursed his arm as he encased it in his shadow and just as he was about to continue the fight he saw Hitori attempting to sneak behind the villain.
Monarch shook his head at Hitori as the villain got back up and blitzed his way towards the hero, its claws and jaw wreathed in flames. Monarch quickly summoned a wall made of shadows and blocked the attack, though the wall began to falter due to the light overpowering his shadows. The werewolf began tearing through the shadow barrier despite Monarch actively trying to restrain the villain with its own shadow.
The villain managed to tear through the barrier and lunged at Monarch with its gaping maw as the hero tried to create more shadows, "Shit! This is so gonna hur-." He was cutoff as a sudden blur passed him and grabbed the werewolf by the throat and lifted them into the air. The figure then choke slammed the villain into the ground, dragging them down the street and then tossing them onto an empty car, causing the vehicle to explode.
Monarch looked up to see the figure walking up to him and noticed they were lifting Hitori up by the back of his shirt like a cat. He sighed in relief as he spoke, "I know what your gonna say so save it. What took you so long Lady Blast?"
The woman in question lets Hitori go so he can stand on his own and smirks at Monarch, "Aww it's cute that you think I'll forget this moment but to answer your question my brother held me up, the douche." She turns to Hitori and frowns at him, "What are you doin here kiddo? You left home early so I thought you would've been at U.A. by now."
Lady Blast stood tall over Monarch as her turquoise eyes examined the area around her. Her purple hair was styled in an undercut bob with her bangs swept to the right, which showed a subtle side shaved section on the left side of her head.
Her hero costume was composed of a large dark-purple trench coat that was mostly plain except for the back which had her hero name written in red kanji. She leaves the coat unbuttoned revealing a form fitting black shirt with baggy tan pants and a red sash tied around her waist. Along with having black combat boots, she has flames wreathed around her neck that splay out of her collar making it seem like she has a spiky mane of fire.
Hitori floundered for a moment under her questioning, "U-uh well I wanted to c-clear my mind before I got to school but this happened." His quirk was pooling underneath his dark purple hair as his anxiety was starting to rise. "It's my fault this h-happened at all. If I didn't distract Monarch from apprehending the villain this wouldn't have happened."
Lady Blast frowned at him for a moment before reaching over and ruffling his hair with a grin on her face, "Aww don't be so negative kiddo, that's not a good look for an aspiring hero." She looks towards the burning car and sees the villain seemingly get back up as it howls at them, "Don't look now boys but the puppy is back and he looks hungry."
The aforementioned 'puppy' started sprinting towards the group as Lady Blast stood in front of them with flames swirling around her arms as she got into a fighting stance. "So this is the puppy that killed a fellow hero?" Monarch shouts an affirmative and she continues, "Well then, you get no mercy from me. It's time to put you down!"
Lady Blasts grin widens as she raises the temperature while rushing down the villain. She reached the wolf quickly who anticipated the move and shot flames from its mouth onto the heroines face. After a moment the villains jaw snaps shut and roars in its presumed victory but its roar was cut off when a fist struck its throat.
Lady Blast stood in front of the werewolf unharmed as she manipulated the flames and absorbed them into herself, "That was lukewarm at best puppy but lemme show you how's it's done." Her grin widen as she brought both of her hands in front of her and cupped them against the villains chest, "Flashfire Fist: Scorching Tempo!"
Both of her hands blasted out flames as they were condensed into small beams as she intended to punch straight through the villain. However, the wolf proved to be tough and swiped Lady Blast away and charged at her with its chest still smoldering black.
She leaped backwards onto a light post to avoid villains attack as it snarled at her. She smirked as she taunted the villain, "Come fetch doggy!" The wolf lunged towards her as she jumped towards a building and began cartwheeling backwards up the building as the villain climbed up the building attempting to crush her.
Hitori watched from the street, slack jawed at the destruction caused. He felt guilt seeping through his body as he witnessed the domino effect of his actions. Just as he felt his Quirk activate a heavy hand grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back into reality.
"Relax kid this ain't your fault. I got sloppy since it was the end of my shift, a rookies mistake that she isn't gonna let me live down." Monarch stepped behind Hitori, who watched Monarch with a wary glance, "Besides she'll wrap this up quickly you know. She's the No. 5 hero for a reason."
They turn back towards the building and look as Lady Blast was easily evading the wolf's attacks as she almost reached the top of the tower. She shot what seemed like random fireball into the air and Monarch grinned, "That's my cue. Keep your eyes peeled and watch the pros at work." Hitori watched Monarch sink into his shadow and he quickly looked back towards the fight.
Lady Blast landed on the top of the tower just as the wolf reached the top and grasped its hands together to spike the heroine. She grinned widely when she saw nearby shadows warping and just as quickly a spike emerged and pierced the villains hands. The wolf roared in pain and attempted to dislodge itself but was surprised when Monarch suddenly emerged from its chest. He delivered a shadow empowered uppercut to the villains jaw as it staggered backwards.
Monarch turned towards Lady Blast and gave her a nod, "No big moves this time. We've caused enough property damage for one day." She opened her mouth to retort but he quickly spoke over her, "Remember that boy is down there so maybe show him something that won't destroy the street."
Lady Blast looked away for a moment before nodding with a smile, "Good enough for me! Send him down for me will you?" With her parting message said she leaped off the tower with her arms spread eagle as she descended to the ground.
Monarch shook his head in exasperation before smiling slightly, "Always the show off huh Mika? Well it's understandable since you have an audience." The wolf was finally able to break free from the spike and sluggishly tried to swing at Monarch, who side stepped the claw and retaliated with a quick jab to the wolf's liver.
The wolf yelped in pain and stumbled to the edge of the building and growled at Monarchs approach but couldn't do nothing since his own shadow restrained him. Monarch reached out and grasped the wolf's snout as it tried to breathe out fire but Monarchs shadows quickly overpowered them. The wolf felt fear gripping its heart as the hero stared him down and tried to open its snout but to no avail.
Monarch didn't say anything for a moment before he finally spoke, "You would've been on your way to the station by now if you hadn't injected yourself with Trigger. You brought this on yourself villain." Then he pushed the wolf off the rooftop unceremoniously.
Lady Blast hit the asphalt hard as she landed and glanced towards Hitori who was staring at her in awe. She grinned as she looked upwards at the wolf falling towards her, "Hey kiddo, wanna see a cool move? Maybe you could replicate it one day with your Quirk but for now watch how I do it."
She channeled her flames and condensed it into her right arm as she prepared to strike the villain. The wolf was rapidly approaching and she swung her arm upwards, "Here we go! Flashfire Fist: Jet Burn!"
The blast of fire shot out faster than the wolf can make contact with her fist is bored through the villain's abdomen. After a few seconds the flames stopped as the heroine pulled away her fist, to which the villain flopped onto the concrete unconscious.
Lady Blast threw both of her hands up and made twin victory signs as she smiled widely while laughing to herself. She walked back towards Hitori as she celebrated her victory, "And that's how you finish a fight kiddo! All power and pizzazz!"
She took a look around and saw the destruction from the fight with a wide eyed look, "Uhhh this was all from the fight right?" She glanced at the ruined building and the destroyed street and sighed deeply, "Damn it all. I just gave big bro another reason to yell at me again."
Monarch emerges behind her putting a hand on her shoulder, "Well technically, Endeavor can't yell at you since this is mostly my fight. You just happened to show up and take over since I'm not at my strongest during the day." He walked towards the downed villain and kicked it in the side and nodded to himself when the wolf didn't move.
Lady Blast pulls Monarch towards her and gives an enthusiastic hug while picking g him up swinging him around, "Aww so you'll take the blame for me? What a gentleman you are Daku!"
Monarch looked at Hitori with an expression asking for help and the boy walked over to pry them apart, "Ms. Mika please stop choking the man, you're causing a scene." Civilians came out of nearby buildings and cheered for Lady Blast's victory over the villain.
She waved back to the civilians cheerfully, "Don't worry anymore people, your savior arrived in time to save you and this dark knight!" Lady Blast turned to a random civilian and asked, "You sir, what's the score as of right now?"
The civilian she called out pulled out his phone and after a moment he yelled his answer, "The score is now 343 saves in your favor and 237 saves in Monarchs favor!" Lady Blast turned back towards Monarch with a grin radiating smugness as the man merely rolled his eyes at her antics.
Monarch turned to the rest of the civilians, "Alright everyone go about your business shows over. The police will be here soon to pick up the villain." He whispers to Lady Blast, "We're also going to need medics for Chainlink since he uhh died before you got here."
Lady Blast dropped her arms as a frown overtook her face, "Yeah I heard that when you sent out the alert. It's a shame, the way he went out." She looked back him, "Hitori saw the whole thing didn't he?"
Monarch nodded back to her, "Yeah but I kept the kid calm or well tried to don't know how effective I was." He winced as he moved his injured arm and saw the look the heroine was giving him, "Don't give me that look, I'll get the medics to check me when they get here."
Both adults turned to look at the boy who was staring at the corpse of Chainlink but snapped himself out of his trance after feeling their stares on him. Hitori speaks, "M-Ms. Mika I think I should get going to school now, o-otherwise I may be late on my first day. I-I think I'll be okay."
The heroine stared at him for what felt like minutes but eventually sighed and reluctantly agreed, "Alright then kiddo but you best believe that we'll talk about this tonight. Now thank Monarch for saving your ass."
Hitori turned to Monarch, who was awkwardly scratching his neck while looking at the ground, and bowed before him, "Thank you for protecting me Mr. Monarch and I'm sorry about Chainlink."
Monarch looked at the boy before nodding at him, "Just doing my job kid and don't apologize about something you had no control over, he knew the stakes of the job. Also the names Kikazawa Daku, I got a feeling I'll be seeing you around more often."
Hiorit eyes slightly widened and a small smile makes its way on his face, "My name is Yotsubashi Hitori, nice to meet you and I hope to see more of you sir. You seem strong despite your appearance." With his piece said, Hitori walked away and towards the train station.
Daku huffed in irritation, "Mika that boy of yours is a brat." Mika chuckled at his response as they watched Hitori walk away, "Anyways, he that boy you always told me about and is it just me or have I heard that surname before?"
Mika sighs as she motions him to follow as the walk towards the arriving ambulance, "Hitori has been my ward as of 10 years ago but I think of him as if he was my own son. Also yeah you've heard the surname before the CEO of Detnerat, Yotsubashi Rikiya."
Daku eyes widen slightly as he questions, "Are they related or is it just a coincidence?" He notices that her fists are balled up and wraps an arm around her waist.
The flames around her collar flared up as spoke, "I ain't sure other than they both have the same eye color and the kid won't tell me anything about his background." She shook her head as the flames petered out, "Anyways moving on, did you meet up with your contact last night?"
Daku nods as he lets a EMT check out his arm, "Yeah had to call in your sidekick to watch over Shizuoka while I had to go Sapporo." He winces as EMT moves his arm around.
Mika eyes narrow, "Sapporo? Is that thunderstorm still there? Heard it still hasn't dissipated in the last year or so."
Daku hummed in agreement, "Yeah it's still there but anyways we got good news. The contact made it into the elites of the Meta Liberation Army, so we'll be getting better intel now."
The heroine nods, "That's good. He say anything about the elites yet, like identity's or something like that?" She pulled out a notepad from her coat to write.
Daku answers, "He hasn't pinpointed any yet since I further hasn't met any yet." Mika looked disappointed at the lack of information and was going to voice it but the man put a hand up, "The only thing he's said they heard is the name Thunderhawk being passed around. Said most people feared the name but was certain that whoever that is isn't the Grand Commander."
Mike wrote down the name and put away the notepad, "Thunderhawk huh? Never heard of them but it's a start." She leaned down slightly and plants a chaste kiss on the man's cheek with a grin, "Now go home and rest that arm for the day, you can go back on patrol tomorrow night. I got a patrol to do myself, so see ya!" She activated her Quirk and blasted herself into the sky with loud whoop.
Daku flushed slightly red as he continued staring at the ground while sagging his shoulders, "Man can you believe her? Can't believe she benched me like that." The medic treating him didn't say anything other than chuckle in amusement.
This was only just the beginning.

This was a random story that came to me in class and I thought why not write it? Apologies if the formatting isn't perfect, I don't got a creative writing degree nor the experience. Characters from the main series will probably somewhat OOC but I'll try my best. Won't have a schedule for this since I go to college and have work so updates will be random.
Hitori is the main character of this story but sometimes other OC's will take center stage so I can flesh out the different aspects of the world. This story will be darker since I believe the series could use some more mature elements. Another thing I will be doing is increasing the power scaling for some characters as I want to write bigger fights and make certain characters more powerful.
