Three days had passed since Lucinda's first official day of life in Hyrule Castle. It was currently the afternoon when Leonidas was in the stable checking on the horses. While he had taken riding lessons, he had never had his own horse and wondered if he would one day have one.
"There you are Leonidas," said Lucinda as she entered the stable, "I was wondering where you were." "I guess this means you like horses like I do."
"Indeed," replied Leonidas, "I unfortunately don't have one of my own since I always ride carriages but I sometimes wish I could ride one." "By the way, were you looking for me?"
"Well I was in the library reading some books about old myths when a servant told me that your mother wishes to talk to us about something," explained Lucinda, "I was told she's in the garden on break from work."
"I see," said Leonidas, "Well we can't keep her waiting, let's go."
Leonidas and Lucinda then left the stable and went to the garden. Once there, they saw Zelda sitting at a garden table enjoying a cup of tea until she noticed them.
"Is there a reason you wanted to see us both, Mother," asked Leonidas.
"That's correct," answered Zelda while getting off her seat and then standing, "It's been a few days since you returned from Ordon Village with Lucinda so I thought it would be best for you two to have a proper date."
"Do you have something in mind for that Queen Zelda," asked Lucinda, becoming curious.
"Well I heard a circus has arrived in Castle Town and a show will be happening there tonight," explained Zelda, "For that reason, I bought two tickets for the show hoping you both could check it out."
"The Circus," said Leonidas with excitement, "Awsome, "I haven't been to one since I was younger than ten." "That's a great idea for a date."
"I agree," said Lucinda, "I've never been to one but I have heard they bring happiness."
"Well then in that case, I'll arrange for you both to go tonight," said Zelda, "I hope you have fun."
Many hours later, Leonidas and Lucinda, after getting ready, left the castle and into Castle Town. After some walking through the town, they arrived at the circus tent where they then got in line to use their tickets. After a while of waiting, It was their turn so they used the tickets and then went into the tent and took a couple of seats to watch the show. Minutes later, the show started with the appearance of a ringmaster.
"Boys and girls of Hyrule," said the ringmaster in a voice loud enough for the entire crowd to hear, "Welcome to the Star Circus." "Please enjoy our performance as best you can." "Now let's have our first performer take the stage."
The first performer appeared and they started to juggle Cuccos for a while with the Cuccos trying to fly every time they were in the air. After a while the second performance started which were three female acrobats that seemed to act as references to the three legendary goddesses of Hyrule swinging all over the place as if they were flying. Then the third performance started where someone was riding a bulbo that the circus owned.
"These performances look so interesting and fun to watch," said Lucinda who was enjoying herself."
"Aren't they," said Leonidas, "You know I heard a rumor that the ringmaster was once a conman who was thwarted by someone using some devices called clawshots." "If it's true, then it's good to see that he changed into a better person."
After an hour filled with so many performances, the show ended and it was time for the audience to leave. Once that happened, Leonidas and Lucinda went on their way back to the castle while talking about how much fun they had.
"So how was the circus," asked Zelda once Leonidas and Lucinda returned and were greeted by her at the entrance."
"It was a blast," answered Leonidas, "It felt good to go to one after so long."
"And it wasn't bad for my first circus show at all," answered Lucinda.
"I'm happy to hear that," said Zelda, "It does me good to know that you enjoyed it." "Now I think you should both get ready for bed since it's so late."
Leonidas and Lucinda then went to their respective bedrooms while Zelda looked at them with a big smile before she went to her bedroom with the thought that she could tell how things would turn out.
