Well, I did it. After like a month or so of work, my study time forfeited, and my sanity reduced to atoms, I have finally rewritten the first HI3 fic I have ever written with many more words this time. I wasn't satisfied with the original version, especially after the incident regarding a specific forum [cough], so I decided to rewrite it, and oh boy was it fun (not)!
I hope it's not terrible. But hey, at least I can stomach rereading this now, unlike with my old Genshin fics where I really, REALLY don't want to see them ever again.
I already wrote the entire fic beforehand, and I'll upload a chapter probably every one or two days, or when I feel like it or something. I don't know.
2000 CE.
The Second Honkai Eruption had ended.
Schicksal and Anti-Entropy sustained heavy losses. The Soviet Union had fallen into disarray. The rest of the world had been scarred by large craters where multiple cities once stood. Despite this, humanity continued to live for another day.
The various gems that the Will of Honkai had gifted to Sirin were left to be picked up by the remaining forces in Siberia.
The Gem of the Void fell into the hands of Schicksal and would be used to awaken a clone named K-423.
The Gem of Conquest fell into the hands of Anti-Entropy and would be implanted into the heiress of the Massive Electric Corporation.
The Gem of Desire and the Gem of Serenity fell into the hands of Schicksal. The former would be implanted into a valkyrie, while the latter would be used in many failed experiments.
The Gem of Haste went missing after the 2nd Eruption, and despite many attempts by Schicksal and Anti-Entropy to recover the gem, its whereabouts remained unknown. The gem remained missing for about 13 years until its location was finally discovered.
