Lancer wasn't fond of Fuyuki City. He like the rest of the servants had somehow found himself stuck in this city with the others. Despite the Grail War ending, he was still stuck here. He tried his best to acclimate to this new time, finding a part-time job for starters. The restaurant he worked at as a waiter gave him some enjoyment. Although, he found most of Fuyuki a bore. However, there was one place he loved, which was the docks. Nothing was better than being there with the fresh smell of the sea. Fishing to his heart's content, with no one to stop him. Which is what he was doing today. He looked around, there were a few people here fishing too. Lancer didn't mind, as long as no one interfered with him, he wouldn't care. Besides, he could show them his amazing skills. Not to brag, but he was pretty good at fishing. He picked up on it rather quickly.

"Eh, Lancer?" Lancer turned around to find the voice belonged to Saber. She was gawking at him, clearly confused by what she was seeing

"Oi, Saber. You don't have to gawk at me, I'm just enjoying the normal activity of fishing."

"Fishing?" The blue-haired man laughed at her confusion. What a fool, not knowing the joy of fishing.

"You don't know fishing? Why it's the best activity! You hold this rod, cast it in the ocean, and then wait for a fish to catch your bait. Once it does, you rapidly pull to get it out. Then, you put it in a bucket, like this one." He gestured towards the small bucket near him.

"Oh, that's fishing! I remember in my time, we did this. I had others fetch the fish for me for some of my suppers."

"Is that so? Was the great king afraid to do it herself?" Saber furrowed her brows, giving an annoyed look to Lancer.

"I didn't see the merits of fishing back then. However, I am open to trying it now. Maybe I'll also love it."

"Well, you'll have to get your own rod. I don't have spares to give." Saber nodded her head, leaving elsewhere. Lancer sighed, turning his head around to see the beautiful ocean.

It was an hour later when Saber made her triumphant return. This time Lancer was gawking at the strange girl's appearance. She wore baggy pants, big boots, gloves, and giant overalls. All of the articles of clothing were an olive green shade. She was also wearing a hat, that somehow didn't her iconic ahoge. In her arms, she was carrying her fishing rod and a bucket.

"I'm ready, Lancer!"

"Saber...all that isn't necessary. You sit up here, you don't go into the water and catch them with your hands."

"The store owner said all of this was necessary. I will admit, they are very baggy. But, I'll wear them for now." The knight took a seat next to Lancer. Lancer told her the basics of how to fish. He explained how to use the rod correctly.

"I understand, Lancer. You don't need to explain anymore." That's what she thought. He smugly smiled, there was no way a newbie could beat him.

"Fair warning, Saber. It takes a while to be good at this. You won't get a fish on your first try. You need pati-"

"Lancer! I think I got something!" She rapidly reeled in her rod, desperately reeling whatever her rod attached to. Lancer hoped it was some boot she caught. There was no way she could be better than him, she was a newbie. She reeled it in, revealing two mackerels clinging to her bait. She took them off.

"I believe I did it!" She yelled it out, before seeing everyone at the docks look at her. She blushed in embarrassment, thinking she ruined the other fishers' peace. On the contrary, they all rushed to her, congratulating her on her catch.

"Most impressive," said a middle-aged man. "I run a fishing club here, and I've never seen a newbie so skilled!" The others also nodded, astonished by the girl's skill. The others were also chattering about the pretty foreigner they saw.

"Thank you, but I wouldn't have been able to do it without Lancer's help. He told me the basics, and I implemented them." She pointed at Lancer, and everyone stared at the blue-haired man.

"The lady is right, she learned because I'm a master!" The others were now interested in him.

"Then, can you show us your skill, one of them said." Lancer nodded, ready to catch something amazing. He threw his line into the water, feeling resistance immediately. Lancer smiled, this was going to be a big one. He rapidly lured it back in, and his prize...was a smelly boot. The others stopped paying attention, instead chatting with Saber. They hoped to see her again. She nodded, saying she would be back.

Two weeks passed by, more and more people crowded the docks. Every day the crowds got bigger and bigger. They came to watch Saber's perfectionism, as she constantly got something out of the water. Many others wanted to chat with the pretty foreigner as many called her. It was too much for Lancer. He wished Saber would go somewhere else so he wouldn't be disturbed! There was almost no room for him to fish due to the large crowd. His favorite spot was stolen by some nobody! Fortunately, it seemed today was the end. Saber had come to the docks where her fan club stood. They were all excited. Ready to be dazzled by her brilliance again. Lancer immediately noticed she wasn't carrying her fishing rod, nor was she wearing her fishermen's outfit. This had to be good news for him.

"Loyal subjects!" She stopped herself, thinking of how to rephrase her opening. "I mean everyone. I appreciate you all gathering here for me these past few weeks. Unfortunately, I can't fish for long hours anymore, for I have gotten a job. There's this maid cafe that opened up, and I want to help someone close to me with finances." She explained where it was located, as Lancer sat there, indifferent to the crowd. He would make sure to avoid the location now that he knew the exact place it was. "Thank you for the time we shared, but this is the end." As she walked away, she was stopped by someone's shrill voice.

"We will support you, Saber! He turned to the crowd, who were distraught she was leaving. "All of us will support you at your work!" More voices agreed with this sentiment.

"For Saber!"

"Support Saber!"

"She's so noble! Sacrificing her free time, to help someone with their finances!"

Saber was taken aback by the commitment. She wasn't expecting this. But if her subjects wanted to support her, she would have no qualms against it.

"Then, come with me! I'll serve everyone the best way possible!" The crowd roared, as they followed Saber. Lancer couldn't believe it, they were leaving! He can finally be alone, without their shrill voices annoying the shit out of him.

"FINALLY!" Lancer felt happiness again, those annoying pests were gone! His peaceful fishing days can resume. No more Saber, no more fanclub, and no more annoyances. He was in his element again. No Saber meant no competition, he could go back to being the best fisher. He let his line loose, catching his first mackerel of the day. And then the universe ruined his peace when the hulking beat showed up with his little master. The hulking beast in question held a comically large tub in his arms. Lancer had never seen anything like it. He put the tub on the ground, as the little master ordered him.

"You know what to do, Berserker!" Berserker growled and launched head-first into the water. The impact splashed Lancer with much force, he was forced off his deck, landing on the ground. As he looked up, the mad beast caught all sorts of things in the water. Boots, cell phones, mackerels, salmons and maguros. Berserker threw the boots and cell phones away from the tub. Fish were filled into a massive tub brought by the giant. The little master was laughing, immensely enjoying the show

"Keep going, Berserker! Don't stop until we get every last fish!" Berserker kept roaring, swimming all around capturing fish.

The force caused by his sheer size caused tremors all across Fuyuki City. Lancer tried to stand up but fell back down due to the impact. After a while, the beast came out of the water. The little master took out her camera, and Berserker picked her up. She took a picture of the tub, proud of what was in it. She was very proud of her Berserker's work.

"This will show Shirou. My Berserker is the better fisher than his Saber. We got every fish in the water!" The giant gently put her down. She snapped her fingers, and the beast threw the fish back into the water. The boots and cell phone remained on land. Lancer got up, cursed that his favorite shirt was wet, and went to change. He would be back, and the next time a servant showed up, he would throw Gae Bolg at them.

It was now afternoon, and what a great afternoon it was. The day might have started terribly, but Lancer made up for it. His catches were excellent, his fishing was excellent. There was no way anyone else could show up. Saber was working, Caster would be at the temple with Assassin, Rider would be riding her bike around the city, Berserker wouldn't be back, and Archer? He would be tending to the little lady's needs at her mansion. He knew what days Archer would come here, and today wasn't one of them. He never showed up when Saber's fan club was here, wisely staying away. Then, a motorcycle could be heard, parking near the docks. Lancer was shocked, he knew exactly who it was. And he wasn't anywhere near a friend.

"Ho, blue-haired mongrel?" Shit! He didn't account for him, and it cost him. The annoying gold-haired man showed up. He had to get him away from here! He could throw Gae Bolg at him, but Gilgamesh would have some counter. He would rather take Archer over Gilgamesh's superiority complex. If he stays, he'll rave on and on about him being superior to Lancer. Lancer dreaded this, he couldn't be associated with goldie. But then, he got an idea that would 100% work.

"What is it, Gilgamesh?"

"I have come to fish! Unlike your pathetic rod, mine is made of real gold!"

"Oi, Gilgamesh, I don't think you should fish today."

"What insolence! How dare you try to tell me when I can and can't fish!"

Oh, I didn't mean it like that! I think you would rather be somewhere else today. You see, Saber has been working at a maid cafe. I believe you would like it." The moment he heard Saber's name, Gilgamesh was fully paying attention to Lancer's words.

"Ho, and why's that? I have been to many cafes, but none are up to my standards. Saber working at some pathetic cafe, is quite foolish of her."

"Well, this cafe has the workers tend to the customer. For example, if you ask Saber to smile, she will smile at you. She can't refuse your requests. Also, Saber is dressed up to look cute, and she's quite popular. Many customers come just to see her beauty."

"Saber will do as I request? What fun!" He quickly grew enraged over the other part Lancer told him. "I find your other statement about her popularity troubling. They dare look at her beauty, what mongrels! Only I'm worthy of her! Where is the address to this cafe?" Lancer quickly told him, happy his plan worked. He began walking away, ready to make a grand entrance at his next stop.

"You did well, blue-haired mongrel, I shall be off!" Gilgamesh started his motorcycle and quickly drove away to his new destination. Lancer smirked, the fool was gone. He got one over the annoying man. He prayed that was the last nuisance of today, these last two weeks had been hectic for him. Hoping for the best, Lancer went on with his day.
