This is only my second time writing a fanfic so I would appreciate constructive criticism
Hi!
I didn't think it would end up like this.
You have been chosen to be reborn in a new universe!
That truck really came out of nowhere.
You can thank me whenever.
'Things could have ended so much better, I am too young to be getting run over by trucks!'
Ignoring me won't change anything, it'll only make where you end up even worse.
Turning towards the screen I had been ignoring I sigh, "Fine what bullshit world are you gonna send me to."
So you already know huh, a rather perceptive one aren't you. There's no need to be in such a bad mood however, after all you get a free Gamer system from my amazingly wonderful self so you don't die immediately!
I blink "Thanks, I guess."
You're welcome! You're the first creature I've done this to that immediately realized how amazingly awesome I am for doing this, in fact one of you cretins once-
Turning away from the screen I idly listen to the voice that reverberated from… wherever I've been put and look around, glancing down I see that I'm stood at the top of a pristine marble pedestal that looks like it stretches on forever into the inky black abyss below.
'Best not trip,' I idly muse.
-so I in my infinite wisdom disposed of that filthy creature into the nearest star. But you seem smart enough to not make that same mistake.
'Ah shit. I should have been paying attention.'
Turning back towards the screen I hum, giving my full attention towards the being that had brought me here.
In fact, I'll even let you choose a skill to aid you on your journey!
I smile 'It seems like half listening to this egotistical bastard was worth it.'
So small creature what ability can this great being of infinite power bestow upon you?
"True immortality."
Way too broken wouldn't be entertaining to watch, choose something else!
I sigh "How about telekinesis?"
Hmm I guess that could work not too overpowered but still good, ok I have decided to bestow you your desired power! However, for calling me an egotistical bastard you have to spin The Wheel of Misfortune!
"You're really that petty? Maybe you shouldn't be reading my mind." I frown.
That's another spin on the wheel! Now get to spinning, or would you like another spin?
'Nope! I'm good.'
I watch as a giant wheel appears before me with thousands of punishments listed on it from starting off as a rock, having no limbs, not having any senses, to just straight up dying.
'Ah shit I should have just been nice'
I sigh and grab the wheel and barely spin it, trying to get one of the lesser punishments I see on the list.
Watching, it goes about three tiles before it loses all its momentum and a giant screen pops up in front of it.
HEY. None of that, put some muscle into it!
The screen disappears and I grab the wheel with a sigh and properly spin it.
It slows down to a stop eventually and I check to see what I got.
'Starting off as a child isn't too bad I guess.'
While it might not be that bad you still got one more spin to go little creature!
Spinning the wheel again it stops A LOT closer to the limbless option than I would have liked.
I stare at what I got instead. 'Being mute isn't all too bad. The less my mouth gets me in trouble the better really.'
Really!? That's all you got on a wheel where one of the choices is just being thrown into a nearby black hole!
I shrug 'Hey man you made the damn thing not me.'
Tch fine have fun in your new world asshole.
'Hey where am I going anyw-
Goodbye!
-ays'
'Tch couldn't even tell me where I am.'
I look around at the lush green grass and the trees surrounding the clearing that I'm in.
'This place seems… cleaner. The air just feels fresher and everything seems so much greener, just overall healthier.'
Drawing in a deep breath I sit down on the grass beneath me.

'Aura huh, well I'm assuming this is the world of RWBY, then.' Shrugging to myself I draw in a deep breath. 'Not any super OP people here besides the twin gods but I should be beyond them by the time they get summoned back'
I look at my HP and wince 'Really though, 20 HP? My vitality is through the floor, I thought kids were more durable than adults.'
I sigh. 'The dexterity and charisma boost is a decent trade I guess.'
'Inventory'
Inventory:
Lien: 0
Empty Canteen x1
A small flask that can hold 2 quarts of liquid.
I nod 'The canteen is nice, too bad it fucking empty. And I apparently need to eat and drink as well, great.'
Scratching the back of my head I look back at the window again.
There is also a child, around 8 years old if I had to guess, T posing in the Inventory with white hair that does down just past his goldish yellow eyes wearing a white short sleeve shirt with black shorts and open brown sandals. (Just think of a younger version of story cover)
'I guess that's what I look like now.' I hum 'Hmm lets see what I'm starting out with skills-wise.'
'Skills'
Skills:
Passive:
Gamer's Mind: (Passive) (Level MAX)
Allows you to be calm in every situation and gain Immunity to psychological effects.
Gamer's Body: (Passive) (Level MAX)
Sleeping restores HP, MP, and removes Status Effects, you are still able to feel pain and bleed. Allows limbs to be regrown when HP is fully regenerated.
Observe: (Passive) (Level MAX)
Gain insight on everything around you with a simple glance. Shows the name, level, and current feelings of those around you.
Active:
Telekinesis: (Active) (Level 1: 0.0%) (Cost: Dependent)
Allows you to move anything with your mind. Cost is dependent on precision and weight. 10 Mp per 10 Pound.
Closing my eyes I nod as I go over my skills. 'Too bad telekinesis depends on precision as well. I was hoping I could move a couple of protons around and just make a bunch of gold or just some superheated plasma to destroy everything.'
Opening my eyes I look toward the edge of the clearing and stand.
Glancing toward the sky I sigh 'I should probably start looking for civilization before it becomes dark. It looks like it's already past noon.'
I start walking towards the edge of the clearing. 'I just hope this doesn't take to long'
Four hours. That is how long I have been walking for. While fiddling with the system I was able to find a clock that now hangs just on the edge of my vision.
Around three hours ago I was able to find a dirt trail but it hasn't led me anywhere so far but walking along this trail has been a nice way to collect my thoughts of this new world I was thrust into.
Only a couple more hours and it'll be dark and I don't plan on sleeping out in a possibly grimm infested forest waiting to get mauled in my sleep.
'At least it hasn't been a complete waste of time.'
Telekinesis has Leveled Up

Telekinesis: (Active) (Level 7: 0.2%) (Cost: Dependent)
Allows you to move anything with your mind. Cost is dependent on precision and weight. 10 Mp per 70 Pound.
Humming: (Active) (Level 13: 50.6%) (Cost: None)
The ability to create pleasant noises from your throat. The higher the level the better the range and sound.
I smile while nodding my head.
'Ten pounds for every level should get me a long way.'
I have been leveling it up by picking up rocks and sticks and having them slowly rotate around me, I would have had them further away however the closer they are the less precise I have to be thus costing less mana.
The humming has also been easing my boredom but it also means that my vocal cords haven't been destroyed like I had assumed they would be.
A total of 770 lbs could turn into quite the amount of force if only for just a moment and I run out of mana.
I stumble as my legs start to groan from underneath me, the hours of walking have been taking a toll and the sun shining down on me isn't helping in the slightest.
Turning I walk off the path and fall to the ground under one of the larger nearby trees, throwing all the things I had been floating around towards the forest.
I let out a deep sigh. 'I really need someone to unlock my aura. I don't feel comfortable walking around with only 20 HP and no protection besides my telekinesis.'
I blink and then smack myself in the face as I realize that I should just be able to fly with telekinesis, I shouldn't weigh too much and telekinesis only counts for pounds and precision and not for any major cost of time, besides maybe some residual loss of mana into the air.
So I should be able to fly for quite some time.
I close my eyes and let out a short breath, and after slowly encapsulating myself in PSI I start slowly lifting myself from the ground.
Ping!
Cracking open one eye I skim through the screen that appeared before me.
A Skill Has Been Created Through A Specific Action:
Flight: (Active)(Level 1: 2.13%) Cost: (Dependent On Speed)
The ability to lift yourself up with your mind and soar through the air like a graceful dove. Costs 6 MP per 1 MPH.
Dependent on speed, the hell does that mean?
It takes mana to remain at a constant speed without slowing down due to air resistance and also to protect the user at high speeds.
Huh, shouldn't that still be affecting the crap that has been floating around me?
You are currently not moving the mentioned objects at a speed that would require protection nor enough air resistance to matter.
Yeah that does make sense now that I think about it.
Leaning back I kick my feet up as I float in the zero gravity state that I had left myself in pondering the skill screen before me.
'So does it take an initial amount to get off the ground or is that already factored in?'
Due to the Flight skill being a Branch Skill of Telekinesis the initial amount is already factored in. As your lifting capacity with Telekinesis gets stronger the MP cost to fly will lower but also increase with your own weight.
'Hmm alright I'll make sure to keep that in mind but as for now I'm gonna focus on the fact that I CAN FUCKING FLY!'
The sensation of flight is rather remarkable it-
'Er I guess it would be more floating right now huh, lets change that.'
Slowly forcing myself forward in the air I look down at the ground that is ever so slowly retreating from me.
Glancing away from the ground I look towards myself and see nothing showing my telekinesis being active.
'This could work out really nicely, a bit disappointed I hadn't noticed that with the stuff I was already moving but I guess I'm going for the stealth option, which was truly the only option for me at a level this low.'
'Hm while I'm at it I might as well see if I can get myself some extra protection.'
Slowly dropping back to the ground I slowly cover myself with a second layer PSI and try my best to harden it around myself.
A Skill Has Been Created Through A Specific Action:
PSI Cloak: (Active)(Level 1: 1.02%) Cost: (5 MP Per Minute)
Cloak yourself in your telekinetic powers and protect yourself from all forms of physical damage. Protects against 150 damage.
Total MP:150
'While I can keep it active constantly I won't be able to fly with it quite yet, which I guess won't matter for me now,' I muse, 'Unless if someone tries to shoot me from the sky or god forbid I run into a nevermore out here.'
I still have 40 stat points to spend but I want to save them for when I get in a fight so I can distribute them more for my weaknesses as needed.
Well I should start looking for civilization again.
I start floating up and flying in the same direction that I have been walking in for the past four hours.
There isn't much time left before sunset and I don't plan on sleeping in this forest if I can help it.
Flight has leveled up 6 times so far and the mana cost has dropped by a few points letting me fly a bit faster than before.
It took around an hour before I found anything besides trees and grass. Hell, I haven't even seen a single grimm in the six or so hours I have been on Remnant.
It looks like a horse-drawn wagon which I didn't expect to see on a planet as advanced as this.
It also looks like they are heading in the same direction as I am so thankfully I didn't waste all that time going in the wrong direction.
'I hope they have some food and water to spare cuz I haven't eaten or drank anything in what feels like forever.'
Pushing more mana into the skill I start flying closer and land in the forest not far behind their cart.
I don't want anyone knowing about my telekinesis for as long as I can help it. And I'll make damn sure that absolutely no one on this planet knows about The Gamer powers.
Yea, I am being paranoid but I'd rather not have Ozpin or Salem know about me or what I can do for as long as I can help it as I don't plan on fighting in their millenia long pissing contest with each other.
Ruffing up my clothes a bit with telekinesis I try to make it seem more like I had been wandering through a forest and less like I had just dropped from the sky.
Running out of the woods and towards their cart I see what I assume is a man and a woman sitting in the front.
Eventually I catch up to them, getting close enough that the woman starts turning to look at me with the man looking back shortly after and I finally get a look at the people in this new world, and my god are they different.
The first one that I see is a man that's holding the reins to the two painted horses trotting in front of the cart. The man looks to be in rather good shape and while it's hard to tell how tall he is while sitting down it should easily be close to six foot or maybe taller. Dressed in a plaid shirt he is rather clean cut with a head of dark brown hair that extends down past his slightly worn face and into a thick beard that covers the lower half of his face. Brown furrowed eyes look at me as I decide to take a deeper look at him.

Level: 3
Race: Human
120/120 HP
N/A MP
N/A Aura
Mood: Curious
'Level three and he has 120 health, I really am getting shafted in that regard aren't I. The people of this world truly are something to look at, back on Earth with his build and looks he would easily be considered above average looking.'
Moving my eyes off him I look at the slim beauty sitting next to him. She is wearing a black tank top and with a glimpse down what I assume are a pair of tight jeans. Her lightly tanned face is dotted with freckles that do a rather good job to draw attention to her black eyes that match her long wavy head of hair that spills over her shoulders. The extra pair of bunny ears that sit on top of her head are also something to note. With a rather large bust and a face that looks to have no baby fat she is not a sight for sore eyes.
'Observe'
Ria Homester
Level: 3
Race: Faunus
80/80 HP
N/A MP
N/A Aura
Mood: Curious
'Ah must be his wife then, didn't think I'd get to see a faunus so soon after being in this world but I guess I just got lucky. Those ears do look rather good on her even if they are kind of ramrod straight as of now.'
I tilt my head as I look at her. 'She may not have the same amount of HP but I bet that she is quite a bit faster than him.'
I see the woman's ears twitch on top of her head.
Looking down into her eyes I continue walking even closer as with a pull of the reins the wagon draws to a halt.
I shoot a quick glance towards the back of their wagon that I am approaching I look at the crates and boxes that fill it.
Hearing the light fall of footsteps I stop and look back in front of me at the woman that stands a few feet from me now at the back end of the cart.
I watch as she squats down to my eye level and starts speaking in a light tone with a small curious but friendly smile.
"Hey there, what are you doing so far out here in the woods by yourself?"
I blink as I look at her. 'Welp time to make a little show out of this.'
I look down towards the ground as I start willing tears towards my eyes as I raise a shaky finger towards where I had just come out of the woods.
Ping!
Ignoring the screen that I know appeared in front of me I keep my head down as I hear her walk even closer, closing the few feet that were already in between us. Watching her legs as she kneels down right in front of me I feel her hand start pushing my head up to meet her eyes.
I see the concern on her face as the tears finally start falling from my eyes, wet spots forming on the ground beneath me.
"Hey, hey it's okay, we'll get you back to your family but you have to tell us where they are."
I open my mouth to reply to her.
Only for nothing to come out as I remember that I can't fucking speak.
'This is gonna take a while to get used to.'
So instead I reclose my mouth and look up pointing to my throat while shaking my slightly shake my head.
It takes her a bit longer than I thought it would for her to understand what I'm trying to convey, but while she tries to understand me I glance at the screen that appeared next to her.
A Skill Has Been Created Through A Specific Action:
Acting: (Active) (Level 1: 30.34%) Cost: None
The act of faking your way through any situation while trying your best to survive. Is directly affected by your charisma.
'I'm gonna assume that this is going to be used a good amount.'
Looking back towards Ria I see the understanding finally appear in her eyes as I reach up and wipe the tears from my face.
"Oh, are you mute?"
I nod my head while still wiping my face.
"Do you know where your parents are? You shouldn't be out here in this forest all alone, there are grimm out in some parts of this forest."
I slap a big ol shaky frown back on my face as I start up the waterworks again.
And of course at the sight of me crying again finally lets Ria understand the story that I'm trying to subtly convey.
"Shh don't worry we'll help get you somewhere safe."
I watch as she turns her head and looks towards Greg who had just been sitting in the cart watching over his shoulder the whole time.
She turns back towards me and envelops me in a hug that lands my head right in between her chest.
I can feel her turn around towards the carriage and speak "Greg, can you get me some tissues and some paper and pencil."
I hear him start rummaging around in the wagon for a bit until he drops down and with heavy footsteps approaches us.
She lets go of me and pulls back while grabbing the items being presented to her and passing them towards me.
Notebook x1
A useful tool to draw or write in.
Pencil x1
A good tool to draw and write with.
Box of Kleenexes
A box of tissues used to blow your nose.
"Here use these to blow your nose and you can talk to us by writing on this notebook."
Accepting them grab a few tissues and start cleaning up my face.
Grooowwwl
'I was wondering when the hunger would set in.'
While cleaning myself up I hear her utter Greg's name in response to my stomach, hearing him sigh I watch as he climbs back in the wagon and starts rummaging through boxes again.
I finish blowing my nose and cleaning myself up as he hops back out of the wagon with what looks to be a sandwich and a bottle of water.
I grab the food and water from him with a nod of thanks as he starts speaking.
"So kid, why were you out in the forest?"
I flip open the notebook and start writing "A couple beowolves attacked our house and my parents told me to go wait next to the trail for them but it's been a long time and they still haven't come."
I turn it so he can read it as I start forcing myself to tear up again.
Acting has Leveled Up
"Ah shit, kid I'm sorry to hear that but we should probably get to the village then so we can send a huntsman to go try and find them, don't worry I'm sure they're fine!"
I can hear in his voice that he knows that they are most likely dead.
'Smart of him for wanting to get further away from where my supposed 'parents' are though.'
At least it would be but they never existed in the first place.
I smile and start nodding, trying to look as optimistic as I can, some genuine joy shining through at the prospect of getting out of this forest finally.
Putting the notebook down on the back end of the wagon I grab the sandwiches and proceed to devour them as she starts talking with Greg about what they found out.
When I finish up eating I drain half of the bottle of water and I see Ria looking at me with pity.
"What's your name, little one, we'll help you get to town"
Ah yes the famous town that I knew was near.
I pick up the notebook and start writing again "My name is Neon Pearl, what are yours?"
She smiles and looks me in the eyes. "Well hi Neon I'm Ria Homester and that's my husband Greg."
She stands back up and motions towards the wagon, "Hop on up, we need to make it to town before it gets too dark."
I watch as Greg steps back on the wagon grabbing the reigns and motioning for us to hop on.
I wait for Ria to jump on and for her realize the problem that I noticed when I first saw them on the wagon.
There was barely any room, with just the two of them just barely not being shoulder to shoulder with eachother.
Ria realizes it as soon as she gets on the wagon as well but just turns to me with a smile.
"Just come over here, I'll help you up."
I walk over and Ria picks me up and sets me down in the space right between her legs.
I hear Greg lean over and whisper quite loudly to Ria "Poor kids' parents were the first people in months to have a grimm attack on Patch."
I feel Ria lightly nod at what he says and turn down to look down at me with what I assume is pity.
Meanwhile all I can think of is if this town that we were heading to is one of any importance.
Hm well, we got a couple of miles apparently before we make it to town and by horse-drawn wagon that might take a while.
The once bright sun is almost fully set and the dark of night is already slowly taking over this once bright forest.
I don't know if grimm attack more at night or not but I don't plan on finding out. I should be able to handle an attack as long as it's only a few of them.
With my destination assured I lean back into Ria's chest and sink into her and as she wraps her arms around me while I close my eyes and drop into a light slumber.
Whelp that's the first chapter done, don't forget to review, I make sure to go through all of them.
Anyways with that, though ima get to work on the second chapter.
